Remote desktop sharing is accomplished through a common client/server model. You can use Remote Desktop to connect to and control your PC from a remote device by using a Microsoft Remote Desktop client (available for Windows, iOS, macOS and Android). When you allow remote connections to your PC, you can use another device to connect to your PC and have access to all of your apps, files, and network resources as if you were sitting at your desk.

Note

You can use Remote Desktop to connect to Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise, Windows 8.1 and 8 Enterprise and Pro, Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate, and Windows Server versions newer than Windows Server 2008. You can't connect to computers running a Home edition (like Windows 10 Home).

To connect to a remote PC, that computer must be turned on, it must have a network connection, Remote Desktop must be enabled, you must have network access to the remote computer (this could be through the Internet), and you must have permission to connect. For permission to connect, you must be on the list of users. Before you start a connection, it's a good idea to look up the name of the computer you're connecting to and to make sure Remote Desktop connections are allowed through its firewall.

How to enable Remote Desktop

The simplest way to allow access to your PC from a remote device is using the Remote Desktop options under Settings. Since this functionality was added in the Windows 10 Fall Creators update (1709), a separate downloadable app is also available that provides similar functionality for earlier versions of Windows. You can also use the legacy way of enabling Remote Desktop, however this method provides less functionality and validation.

Windows 10 Fall Creator Update (1709) or later

You can configure your PC for remote access with a few easy steps.

On the device you want to connect to, select Start and then click the Settings icon on the left.

Select the System group followed by the Remote Desktop item.

Use the slider to enable Remote Desktop.

It is also recommended to keep the PC awake and discoverable to facilitate connections. Click Show settings to enable.

As needed, add users who can connect remotely by clicking Select users that can remotely access this PC.

Members of the Administrators group automatically have access.

Make note of the name of this PC under How to connect to this PC. You'll need this to configure the clients.

Windows 7 and early version of Windows 10

To configure your PC for remote access, download and run the Microsoft Remote Desktop Assistant. This assistant updates your system settings to enable remote access, ensures your computer is awake for connections, and checks that your firewall allows Remote Desktop connections.

All versions of Windows (Legacy method)

To enable Remote Desktop using the legacy system properties, follow the instructions to Connect to another computer using Remote Desktop Connection.

Should I enable Remote Desktop?

If you only want to access your PC when you are physically using it, you don't need to enable Remote Desktop. Enabling Remote Desktop opens a port on your PC that is visible to your local network. You should only enable Remote Desktop in trusted networks, such as your home. You also don't want to enable Remote Desktop on any PC where access is tightly controlled.

Be aware that when you enable access to Remote Desktop, you are granting anyone in the Administrators group, as well as any additional users you select, the ability to remotely access their accounts on the computer.

You should ensure that every account that has access to your PC is configured with a strong password.

Why allow connections only with Network Level Authentication?

If you want to restrict who can access your PC, choose to allow access only with Network Level Authentication (NLA). When you enable this option, users have to authenticate themselves to the network before they can connect to your PC. Allowing connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with NLA is a more secure authentication method that can help protect your computer from malicious users and software. What Exactly is Mobile-first Web Design?

Are you reading this on a mobile device? If so, you aren’t alone. With close to 87% of internet users owning smartphones, it stands to reason that more and more people are doing their internet browsing and research through mobile means.

Mobile-first web design is the practice of designing and developing websites to be viewed on mobile devices first, before working on a desktop view. By optimizing your website for mobile viewing, you can ensure that if anyone happens upon your website while using their smartphone, they won’t be turned away by unreadable text or unclickable links.

The History of Mobile Devices

The term smartphone has been around since 1995, but the first smartphone to feature modern touchscreen technology was the iPhone, which came out in 2007. With this, websites were launched into the mobile world, forever changing web design and development best practices.

Since then, technology has continued to give us more devices that are capable of accessing the internet, including, but not limited to; Smart TVs, gaming consoles, and smartwatches. With so many platforms that people can view websites on, it’s more important than ever to design for more than just the standard desktop view.

So, why practice mobile-first web design? Why not tablet-first, or smartwatch-first design? The term mobile, while typically used to refer to phones, is not exclusive to smartphones. The principle behind mobile-first web design is that you design for the smallest possible screen first, and scale your way up to larger sizes. The smallest possible screen size may change over time, but the mobile-first method applies regardless of what screen resolution or device you start out with.

In this article, we’ll cover what different website elements feel like in a mobile environment, how to implement them using both responsive and adaptive design, and what to remain aware of when working with mobile devices and small screens.

Website Elements and Mobile Devices

Most of us are familiar with the various elements that are found on a webpage – logos, navigation, sliders, headers, copy, footers, etc. But in order to learn how these should work on mobile devices, you’ll need to take a closer look at the base elements of a website – text, buttons, and images.

Text

One of the most common elements of any website is text. Text is located all over traditional webpages, from headers and copy, to links and descriptions. The most common problem encountered on a mobile device is that text is too small to read, forcing users to zoom in on your website in order to view it. However, text that is too large can also cause problems – if only a small amount of text can fit on the screen at a time, this is just as poor an experience for mobile users.

Paying close attention to the font sizes used on your website at different screen resolutions can go a long way towards ensuring mobile compatibility. There are four different ways to set the size of your text – pixels, points, ems, and percents. Pixels and points are fixed units that tend to appear on the web and in print documents, respectively. Ems and percents are relative units that change based on browser settings and screen resolution.

So, which one is better to use for mobile-first web design? Best practices indicate using percents for the best all-around experience, but any of these sizing methods can work with the help of media queries. The best way to find out what works for you and your website is to simply test it out!

Note: Having the right text for a mobile experience is about more than just selecting the proper font size. Font family, weight, color, text decoration and transformations, line heights, and letter spacing can also play a large part in readability on both mobile and desktop devices.

Buttons

If you have visited any website recently, you’re sure to have seen a call-to-action button encouraging you to explore other parts of the website, or a submit button for a form. They’re an essential part of any site, and yet one of the more problematic elements for anyone new to mobile-first design.

Buttons, similar to text, can have readability issues that are related to font size. But they also can have issues with providing too small of a clickable area for mobile users, and being too close to other clickable elements on a website.

The most important part of making buttons mobile-friendly is ensuring that users are able to comfortably tap on the button while scrolling on their mobile device, which means allowing a space for the user’s entire finger or thumb to touch the button. You can give users this space on the button height, the button width, or the margin surrounding the button.

The average width of an adult index finger is 2cm, which is approximately 57 pixels, while the average width of an adult thumb is 1 inch, which is approximately 72 pixels. This means that at it’s smallest size, a button should always have a height of 72px and a width of 144px, in addition to a margin of error that gives at least 10 pixels of additional space on either side.

Images

While websites are not usually constructed entirely from images as they were back when the internet was still young, they are still one of the most prevalent elements of webpages, showing up in large sliders and carousels, attached to product and page descriptions, and scattered across pages as icons or visual cues.

Unlike text and buttons, images can be scaled to fit anywhere with the same aspect ratio. This is the proportion of an image’s width compared to its height, with the most common ones being 16:9, 4:3, and 3:2. As your image scales in size, the aspect ratio should remain the same, giving your image relatively the same appearance across all screen sizes.

Because images are used in so many different places on websites, the way they should be displayed on mobile devices depends heavily on their intended usage, and what other elements of a website they have been paired with, if any. The most popular use of images these days is in sliders.

Image Sliders

Many websites feature a large image slider, or carousel, on their homepage. They provide an immediate visual representation of products or services, and tend to grab a user’s attention as soon as they land on a page.

Sliders in particular tend to challenge design best practices as we know them. Here are a couple considerations when implementing sliders for a mobile device:

If the aspect ratio of the image is large, and you intend the user to be able to scroll on the website, then the entire slide cannot link somewhere. A button should be used instead so people do not go to a different page on accident. However, if the aspect ratio of the image is small, then a button does not necessarily need to be used.

The text located on your slider must be able to scale proportionately to the image, while still keeping with current mobile text standards. If you cannot appropriately scale the text, you may need to cut down on the amount of text or eliminate it altogether.

When on mobile, the text you have on your slider must not cover the entire image in a such a way that the purpose of the image becomes lost. If the message conveyed via text is more important than the image itself, you may need to remove the image or replace it with a more generic image.

Sliders are also one of the places on websites where we can clearly see the impact of mobile-first design. Before mobile-first design was popular, most sliders were a single, linked image with an area reserved for text. Now, because of mobile-first design, they usually feature only a small amount of text, and a button to prompt users to scroll down or reach a new area of the website.

Note: You might be tempted to use a small image when using mobile-first design, but don’t forget to save a high resolution copy of your image for desktop use. Large images typically scale down just fine, but scaling up a small image can cause a loss of quality that makes your website look unprofessional.

Implementing Designs on Mobile Devices

Most web developers don’t get the chance to preview their work on a mobile device right away – many use a small browser window to view, test, and debug code at small screen sizes. When you go to make any mobile-friendly website, make sure to include the following meta tag in the head of your HTML:

By including this meta tag, you are telling any device that loads your website to base the width your website is shown at on the physical width of the device’s screen, and that the initial view of your website should not be scaled either up or down from the intended view.

In addition to the meta tag, you will also need to add this code snippet to your CSS to ensure compatibility on any devices running Windows 8 and using IE10:

Neither the meta tag nor the CSS rule will assist you in actually writing your code for mobile devices, however – they will only make sure that code works as expected when implemented. Responsive Design

Responsive design is a web design and development process that responds to the size of the viewport. As the size of the viewport changes, elements on the webpage will increase or decrease in size or fall into place accordingly.

This approach is often used in conjunction with fluid layouts, as both feature a seamless transition between various viewport sizes. The main difference that sets responsive design apart from a true fluid layout, however, is that the elements can change at different times, and in different ways than a fluid layout would allow. Physical Features

Going over the physical features first. I anticipated these were going to be bulky and they were going to stick out that the earphones would also bounce around during intense movements with my testing on all fronts. They don't, they're actually quite flush against my ear and for the first time I can run with a hoodie on and the earphones don't feel as though they'll fall out from gently rubbing against that fabric.  Now with more intense movements simply demonstrate myself jump-roping here I'd never had any doubt that they would fall off and more importantly I don't feel that the ear tips will be lifting off my ears and losing sound quality. That's really impressive, these are truly wireless earphones. One of the issues that I've noticed when I had the Powerbeats 3 now of course cosmetically I think they look pretty damn good too. Now all of this praise off physically being stable it's because of these ears they are adjustable and does retain its shape. They do feel more competent than the Powerbeats 3 as it's a bit stiffer and the casing feels a little bit more durable. So, we'll see over time now I love the fit on my draw bars and my Samsung Galaxy buds more recently those who were great but I will admit the ear hooks do provide that extra level of stability.

Now moving on beats are claiming these are water and sweat resistant spraying the crap out of these things right here they are still working perfectly fine. I was hoping for some sort of ingress rating or considering that we've had all this time to design these having it be submersible/ Although overkill would have given me more peace of mind there's a few other competitors out there that offers just that why not the Powerbeats Pro. You can't be in your shower listening songs under heavy water pressures. Mic, Buttons & voice commands

But getting a closer look easily identifiable multi-function button. The actions are identical on either side which I really liked. Little volume rocker buttons are located at the very top and also are easily identifiable. Everything is there except for transparency mode. Maybe some people call it here through ambient to air whatever name these companies give them beats does not have the ability to turn on the internal microphones so you can hear your environmental noises nearly. Everyone else is offering it and I know a bunch of you use it for safety while running. Some uses these truly wireless earphones while working to hear if your boss sneaks up on you. We don't get that again with your Powerbeats Pro.  Last test I confirm you can activate Siri with your voice as it seems to always be listening for that command. Awesome feature or of course you can always hold down the beats logo again on either side of these earbuds. Now with Android using my voice didn't work for me. You can only activate Google assistance with the button press or telling the button hold all right.  

Bluetooth & Apple H1 Chip

Now moving on to the good stuff here. The technology there's this new Apple H1 Chip inside and it's working wonders. Yes, you do get amazing fast and seamless bluetooth pairing a very similar experience to those who had ear pods previously and with my iPhone I'm averaging about two seconds when the case opens to when the iPhone brings up this cool 3d spinning thing in battery life. In states definitely fast enough for me though but I love how seamless and more importantly how consistent it's been with Android, it's honestly not a slouch either. On screen is proof with my new pixel 3a I've been testing it connects on average in three seconds. Either scenario either phones by the time you put these earphones back into your ear. Adjust them, get them properly seated. It's already been paired.  Now since we're on the topic of Bluetooth, yes, I can't connect to more than one device at a time. yes, after testing playing video on either Android or iPhone where the YouTuber Netflix, I had zero syncing issues. Now although I couldn't find if the Powerbeats Pro uses bluetooth 5.0 or not which is typically used to signify which version a device uses. Apple States instead on their websites this uses a class 1 signal instead which means the earphones should be good up to 150 to 200 linear feet and yes wireless range and stability it has been great. I've been able to walk my entire apartment here with several walls in between and had zero signal loss. Now I also couldn't find if beats use apdex HD to determine how high of a resolution audio file it can handle but again I usually don't as there's been some great headphone / earphones without that high-resolution designation.  

Battery & charging case

In addition to that chip we get one of the best battery performances on any truly wireless earphones that I've tested. Fast fuel just 5 minutes on that charger gives you back an hour and a half. This is the fastest I've experienced on any pair of truly wireless earphones that I've tested. Not to mention beats claims up to nine hours of use with the case you're getting about an additional 15 hours of use for a total of up to 24 hours. Most truly wireless earphones I have tested, they've ranged from 12 hours to 15 hours give or take an hour for the extremes but the Powerbeats Pros, they're class leading with my testing at 50 percent volume like all my other truly wireless earphones.   Since we're talking about the case or maybe you have seen that in the image here. I know some will say this case is quite large and it is but to be fair how else are you going to have these ear hooks attached to the earphones themselves. The case itself had more than one light to indicate battery life. I wish the case featured USBC versus lightning to have a truly wireless port for all my devices. I know Apple fans will be upset hearing that but the iPad pro has USB C there might be a USB C iPhone coming down the road so if that's the case no pun intended, here that's future proofing yourself that would be ideal unless I don't think there's any other company doing this just yet but if we can make this case dust proof in or water proof that would give me 100% peace of mind. But again, that's me being nitpicky right there and wishing for features at this point.  And before I forget about this, there is audio pause and play when you take off your earphones the audio stops you put them back on and the audio plays again and this also works for video as well. The Insta360 GO snaps magnetically into the top and begins charging immediately. At the base of the charging case, you’ll find a block of rubber, which protects a Lightning plug. This entire case plugs directly into your iPhone for transferring files. A USB-C to micro-USB adaptor is included for Android users, though at launch this device is iOS only. A micro-USB port on the side of the case is used for charging.

The GO is as minimal as it can be. There are no ports, and only a single button on the back. A set of pogo pins provide all the charging and connectivity the device needs when sat in the charging case. The single button initiates recording.

The magnetic pendant will be your most typical use case. Simply hang it around your neck–the height is adjustable–and snap the Insta360 GO on. It’s very discreet and works over a single layer of clothing like a t-shirt or dress.

If that’s not quite suitable, the magnetic clip mount might be your next choice. Don’t worry about orienting the camera on its side–the gyroscope will automatically flip your footage the right way up, using Insta360’s incredible FlowState Stabilization technology.

You also get a tripod mount case. Again, the Insta360 magnetically snaps into place. The case adds a standard tripod screw at the bottom, which you can attach a tripod, selfie stick, or any of your other favorite mounts. Alternatively, you can use the included stick mount. This screws into the tripod mount, and includes a reusable sticky pad. You can adjust the angle of tilt, too.

If all that still doesn’t do it for you, a simple magnetic and sticky pad should do the job with any flat surface. You really should be able to mount the Insta360 Go anywhere with minimal effort; everything you could possibly need is included in the box.

Video Templates and AI FlashCut

After plugging the charging case into your phone, the Insta360 app analyzes your footage and attempts use AI to match specific types of shots. Head over to the Stories tab, and choose a theme. The app can then pick out the best shots and mix them into the chosen video template with a single tap on the FlashCut button.

Since I tested in the countryside, don’t tend to take pictures of my food, and rarely smile, the FlashCut feature was less useful for me. Over time I expect it’ll be trained on more content types, but you’re free to use as much or as little of the FlashCut feature as you like. You can always use it to populate a story, then go in and tweak some of the clips if you didn’t quite like the output. It’s magical to watch it work though, and I think some people (those weirdos that tend to smile a lot, for instance), will love the feature.

Even if you don’t the FlashCut feature at all, it’s still effortless to put together an impressive video. If you stick to the pre-built templates, all you need to is pick the shot, then slide it back and forth until you find the desired bit of the clip.

During testing, the range of templates has been limited, but more are promised at launch and beyond. Those we tested with varied in clip lengths from half a second–obviously designed for a younger audience with the attention span of a gnat–to a more glacial seven seconds. Some are designed specifically for certain types of shots (a compilation of smiles, a set of hyperlapses around a city), but most can be used generically with any kind of clip. The editing process felt a lot like iMovie Trailers, but even easier.

You can tweak all aspects of a template if you’re inclined, though I found the defaults worked great. You can opt for a square output for Instagram, or a more traditional 16:9 format. The camera itself shoots videos at a resolution of 2720 pixels square, but after stabilization, videos are output at a maximum 1080p full HD. Yes, this isn’t 4K, but it’s more than enough for mobile, where the majority of online video is consumed now.

Lifelogging Makes a Comeback?

The unique magnetic pendant mount and sheer ease of capturing a moment reminds me of the “lifelogging” camera craze from a few years back. These devices were designed to capture your entire day, then pick out the highlights. Since the case automatically tops up the Insta360 GO whenever it’s placed inside, the camera itself never run out of power, and had some residual battery when the case itself ran out, so I could still keep shooting while the case recharged.

Should You Buy an Insta360 GO?

Ultimately, video cameras are designed to capture a moment. That sounds patently obvious, but any barriers either due to inherently bad hardware design, or difficulty of use, will stop you from achieving that. We probably all have an action camera or two sitting in a drawer of dead electronics. It’s never charged, it needs all manner of complicated mounting options, it’s an effort to start shooting, and after all that, you’ve got to think about how to edit the footage together in a neat way. I’m certainly guilty of that. Most of the time I can’t even bothered to pull out my phone and film something. That’s like, at least three clicks.

A 3D production starts with the conceptualization of ideas and creation of storyboards that translate these ideas in to visual form. Once the technical requirements have been defined, the next step is to begin the storyboarding. Storyboards consist of hand drawn version of the video and give out as blue print for the action and dialogue.

Animatic simplified mock-ups are created to get a better idea of the motion and timing of complex animation sequences and VFX-heavy scenes within the VFX studio. These help the animator in planning the sequence and move forward with integration of visual effects into the final shot.

After the approval of story board, next task starts Modeling that is building the props, environment and characters. Modeling a process where thing start getting shape and molded in to complete 3D mesh. Creating 3D objects means taking a simple object called as primitive and extend or grow it into a shape that can be refined and detailed. It can be anything from a single point, a two-dimensional line, a curve, to three dimensional objects.

In modeling phase, assets for the animation are drawn or modeled in two or three dimensions. On the bases of the resolution of the final image as well as how close the camera gets to a model in the final animation level of detail will be required for a given model are determined.

Texturing means the art of providing clothes to the 3D models. During the 3D model creation 2D images are overlaid on it to add colors, designs, and textures. We need to put structure in to the 3D character before moving further. This stage is called ‘rigging and skinning’ and is the original system that drives the movement of a character to bring it to life. In rigging bones are added to the character or movements are defined of mechanical object and it is the central to the animation process. Depending upon the subject matter, every rig is unique and so is the corresponding set of controls. Skinning is the process where 3D model are attached to the rigged skeleton so that the 3D model can be manipulated by the controls of the rig.

Animation is the process of getting 3D object move. Here the animator manipulates the objects on a frame-by-frame basis. And other method are also used like placing objects on spines and setting them to follow the path of the curve, or importing motion capture data and applying it to a character rig. We can also use 3D applications built-in physics engines, such as when your scene requires that objects fall.

Animation is the most crucial and time consuming part of the production process. Crucially of animation depends on the type like for character animation, it is timing, fluidity of motion, and expressiveness that are most crucial. And for forensic or product animations, the goal is precision of motion or technical accuracy. Using animation software they compose the movements and facial expressions in each scene. The motion in each scene is composed by defining key frames or poses. This is done using computer controls and the character’s avars to define key poses. The computer then creates the “in-between” frames, which the animator adjusts as necessary.

Lighting is important for creating realism and appealing to an image. Use of improperly light can wash out the scene, can make object appearance different and destroy all the hard work. But skillfully applied lighting can make a scene convincing, or if realism is the aim, create, a scene that is virtually indistinguishable from real life. Lighting allows us to control the appearance of shadows and highlights, and cameras can be added to capture a specific point of view. Visual effects can be added as required, including glows, fire effects, fog, and lens flares.

In 3D camera works as an amazing tool here there is no physical limitation as like in real world.  You can create scenes where the camera can take you, like you can journey inside the blood vessels of a human body, it can be used in creating impossible perspectives. You need not to have a lens, focusing controls, film, aperture, etc.  All of these functions are controlled via software. In 3D, you can create one or more cameras, position them exactly as desired in 3D space and use settings to mimic focal length, depth of field, etc.

In addition, software cameras have no size or weight restrictions. You can move a camera to any location and even inside the tiniest objects. You can also animate cameras so that several operations take place at once, such as a zooming into a scene while changing the depth of field. Once you create a camera in 3D, you can pick a view and assign the view in that view to the camera, meaning that you will see the scene from the perspective of the camera.

Rendering is a process of translating all of the information in the files that make up the shot, (sets, colors, character movement), into a single frame of film. It is one of the most important and last step in 3D production pipeline (but not last step in overall 3d Production). Rendering takes all of our work thus far and calculates the individual pixels for each frame, based on models, materials, lighting, and effects. Different rendering algorithms can create different results, ranging from photorealistic results to even a cartoon illustrated look. It is necessary to take care of many aspects to create a good final render of a scene, including attention to camera placement, lighting choices which may affect mood and shadows, reflections and transparency, and the handling of special effects, like fluids or glasses.

In rendering we have to take care of individual pixels for each frame, based on models, materials, lighting, and effects. Different rendering algorithms are required to create different results, ranging from photorealistic results to even a cartoon illustrated look. Rendering process is quite CPU intensive process and takes time. Consider a 60 second DVD animation where each frame takes 15 seconds to render: A 60 second animation for DVD (at 30 frames per second) requires 1,800 frames, which will take over 7 hours to render.

The renders are brought into compositing programs to edit, touch-up and add on special effects. Composting consist of everything from special effects to where things blow up, evaporate, morph etc. it also includes creation of environment  according to the requirement as (anything from buildings to complete worlds), to blue/green screen replacement (shooting in-front of a blue or green screen and then replacing the background with digitally created footage or footage shot elsewhere). Creating computer generated footage from the live footage is also considered as compositing.

Music and foely provides animation an additional extra depth and boost in audio enjoyment. To set the mood for the animation music composer creates music soundtracks and accompaniment music. A foley artist work is to create sound effects, using different kinds of shoes and lots of props – car fenders, plates, glasses, chairs, etc. Foley artist create or replace original sound completely or augment existing sounds to create a richer track.

The editing is the final stages where all the things are confirmed before delivered to the client. Here the composited renders, music and foley are compiled and edited to ensure that everything is in synchronization. Editorial checks for the completion and addition of the musical score and the other sound effects. Special effects are added and record the digital frame to film or to a form appropriate for digital production.

Computer animation evolves at an alarming rate. One year, a movie like Frozen or Big Hero 6 looks like the peak of what’s possible. Then, only a year later, the next thing goes way beyond that. In this case, the next thing is Zootopia, and in this movie a single giraffe has more individual hairs on it—nine million—than every single character in either Frozen, Big Hero 6, or Wreck-It Ralph.

Keep in mind that the filmmakers had to manipulate each individual hair on its own—and there would have been a lot of hair even if they hadn’t gone to such lengths. The film is, after all, about animals who walk, talk and dress like humans. Animals mean fur, and that’s something Disney Animation hadn’t done for a lead character since 2008’s Bolt. And even that was just a single character. So to make an entire movie full of furry animals, they had to create a whole new language in the computer to make it possible.

After doing tons of research on real animals both in nature, and in museums, the team came to realized that almost every single type of fur is different. They have different sizes, textures, densities and colors—and with each of those kinds, light passes through them in a different way.

Zootopia has 64 different species of animals, that break down into about 800,000 different character models. To get the right level of realism, hair has to be treated as multiple pieces, and not one cohesive thing.

                              Introduction

  The world of Visual effects is like a world of magic. Sometimes we are stunned by an amazing show of tricks and illusions and sometimes we don’t even notice it happened.

Either way there is always a hard work and huge effort behind it. The road to success is steep and skills must be built by learning the basics so the knowledge has strong foundations.  In visual effects the Foundation blocks are Tracking, Keying, Rotoscoping and Colour Correction.

This production journal shows my first attempts to build the skills of the four key visual effect elements.

     For this shot I was tasked to remove the green screen and replace it with an appropriate image that fits the location.

 First thing I had to do after uploading the footage was to change project setting to be HD 1080 and also reformat and resize the footage.

   After that I created a Rotoscop for the screen, which I animated so the Roto mask was covering the screen and the hand through out all footage. In the end I changed the Roto output to rgb and rgb alpha.

   Next step was to remove the green screen so a new image could be placed instead.

To do that I applied a Keylight which is an industry-proven colour difference keyer, which works the best with background colours which have only one primary colour in it ( red , green or blue}.

First I used Keylight Colour Pick to find the best colour and then switched to an alpha channel to finish the key by adjusting Screen gain, Clip Black, Clip white and screen despot.

      After I completely removed the green colour I was ready to proceed to the next step, which was to track the screen.

To obtain the most accurate result I used a 4 point track and tracked one point for each corner of the screen at a time.

   It became more complicated when I attempted to track the corner, which is covered with the hand at a certain point of the footage. Since the automatic track did not work well in this case I decided to use a curve editor and adjust the part of the footage manually by locating and deleting the key frames, where the track got off the most. And since the camera move of the footage is fairly linear, this solution worked perfectly.

    Once the track was finished I uploaded and reformatted the image that I decided to replace the green screen with. Then I dropped in a Corner Pin node and linked it with Tracker so the corners of the image fit in the corners of the screen.

   After that I connected the outM pipe of the Keylight to the Roto node and changed the outM component of the Keylight to alpha and connected it to the footage.

       To retrieve the colour information from the source I used a Shuffle copy node which I connected to the Keylight and the Reformat and merge with Corner Pin and then merged the shuffle copy with the previous merge and placed Premult after the shuffle copy to multiple the alpha information.

     To placed the hand over the screen I changed the Keylight outM component to an Inverted luminance.

   The last step was to correct the colours and give the composition more realistic look.

To achieve this I used Colour Correct and Grade to alter the colour of the screen. Also applied Edge blur, Blur and Glow.

 Then I used a Hue Correct to remove the green spill on the hand. Attempted to adjust the exposure and bring back some of the original green colour of the ambient and applied a Light Wrap in the end.

     Like in the previous shot the task was to remove the green screen and replace it with an appropriate image of my own choice.

 This footage I was provided with came in very unusual format of 1280 X 1080 so the first thing I did was that I reformatted it to HD 1080, distorted it and changed my project settings to HD 1080 also.

 After watching the footage, it become obvious that three different Rotos will have to be applied to key the screen to achieve a seamless integration.

     Once my background picture was reformatted I started to create and animate three Rotos. First for the tree, second for the candles and third for the window frame.

  Once all three Rotoscopes where finished and animated I was ready to start removing the green screen with Keylight. After connecting the Keylight node to the source and its outM pipe to the Tree Roto I changed the output to RGB and RGB.alpha and also the output component of Keylight to inverted alpha in order to isolate the area I wanted to key only the area that surrounds the tree.

                                                                                        Then I repeated the same process with two remaining Rotos and merged them together.

                                                                                     To maintain a realistic and convincing look of this composition, it was necessary to bring back reflections on the window. To achieve that I created a new Keylight and attached all Rotos bg pipes into it so I could colour pick and remove the green screen but preserve the reflections. Then I have to change the setting on each Roto by inverting the shape and changing the blending mode from over to screen.

       Next step was to track the footage so I could use the data for the image I was going to replace the green screen with. I tracked one of the squares on the window.  

     At this point I uploaded the background picture I choose and after reformating it I merged it with the foreground. To make the image to follow the camera move I attached a Transform node to the background and linked the tracking data to it.

   After that I started colour correcting both background and foreground to achieve a seamless integration.

My aim was to adjust the background picture so it looked more like a night shot. I used Colour Correct and Grade to alter the exposure and darkened it.

   Then I applied another Grade to reduce the strong blue tint to give it more real look.

   Also used Blur and Glow to create the effect that there was a real garden behind the window and added a Grain to it so it matched the foreground.

I approached the colour correcting of the foreground the same way. I darkened it and added a Glow and Light Wrap to give it a warm feel and atmosphere.

      Nuke 101 Car Colour Correct

    To complete this composite I was expected to place the car into a winter shot, colour correct it and light wrap it.

 After opening the background and foreground images I merged them together and created a basic composite.

 Next thing I had to do was to place the car behind the piled up snow on the windshield so it did not look like it was sitting on it.  To do that I brought a matte of the snow (four-channel image with same image in the R,G,B and alpha) and merged it  with the image of the car and then merge them both with the background image.

    To place the car behind the snow I had to change the Merge 2 operation from over to stencil.

    But before I started colour correction I had to use Unremult node which I placed before Grade node as the image of the car was premultiplied and we are not allowed to colour correct premultiplied images.  Then I used a Premult node that I placed after grade not to affect the background.

  To do a colour correction, first I attempted to find the brightest and darkest point in these two images. To do that I used CurveTool where I switched to a Max Luma Pixel.

     Because the image was premultipled, the value of minimum pixel was 0 in every property.

So I had to disregard that black area and I achieved it by applying a Constant node which creates a solid color with a choosen resolution.

I set color value of the Constant to 0.5 and merged it to the background and replace the black color with a middle grey.

         That allowed me to get a true result that showed the lightest and darkest pixels. Then I linked the values to Grade node and obtained a perfect dynamic range.

For values of lift and gain I used a Pixel Analyzer and the copied the values to Grade node and matched the foreground’s shadows and highlights to those of the background.

      The last was to match midtones by adjusting values of multiply, offset and gamma by eye.

To do that I was adjusting individual colours (red, green and blue) for multiply, offset and gamma values while viewing the same colour channels in the viewer.

     For this shot the task was to remove the green screen, create a garbage matte for the other equipment, match move the footage and composite an appropriate image that fit the location.

  Since the original footage was in 4K resolution, before doing anything else I had to reformat it, resize it and change my project settings to HD 1080.

 Once I had done that I started to look for the best point to track. After several attempts to track only one point I realised that that was not the right way to do it as the parallax created was too strong.

 The best solution I found was to use a three point track and track the red mark under the actors foot and those two balls attached to the stands on each side of the set.

     The next step was to Rotoscope the actor so the green screen could be removed.

      I created a separated Roto for actors hand as I wanted to remove the shadows on the box he holds.

When I finished the Roto and animated it I used a Keylight to remove the green screen and then switched to an alpha channel to obtain a solid alpha by adjusting screen matte, black and white point and screen dilate. After that I changed Keylight OutM Component to inverted alpha.

                When the green screen was removed I replaced the background with an image I chose, added a Transform node and linked it with the Tracker I previously created so the background image followed the camera move.

                                                                                                                                Then I added an Edge Blur and Degrain to enhance the look of the subject and colour corrected him with Grade and Color Correct.

To match the background I used pixel analyser to find the darkest and lightest points and Colour Correct and Grade to alter the tint so the background matched the subject and looked natural.

 Lastly I added a Grain node to the background and Light Wrapped the subject.

    The task for this shot was to match move the footage and Rotoscope the fence so a test robot could be places behind it.

 Like the previous footage the original resolution was 4K so had to reformat it and resized it first as well as change my project setting to HD 1080.

    Then I put an image of a robot I researched to a Photoshop and created an alpha channel so I could place him into the scene to see which part of the fence I will have to Rotoscop.

   After that I merged the alpha image with background, reformatted it, resized it and positioned it.

    When the robot was composited to the scene I decided to match move the fence with planar tracker and then use the Bezier shape to create the mask for the robot so it could be placed behind it.

        Next step was to remove the hand from the fence.  To do that I created Roto to basically sampled out an area of the fence and placed it over the hand.

    After I finished the Roto I changed the output to rgba and rgb.alpha , inverted the shape and change the colour to black. Then I merged it with background image and set the read1 settings to auto alpha.

     Then I added a Transform node and move the sampled area over the hand.

      To place the robot behind the fence I changed the fence Roto output to mask. Also I changed the settings to mask.a in the Merge node so it interacted with the mask and inverted it.

       The Planar tracker I wanted to use to track the movement of the footage did not work as I wanted so I applied a two-point track and choose two bright spots on the fence.

      Then I connected the tracking data to a Transform node so the image of the robot followed the camera movement.

 To colour correct this shot I started with matching black and white points with Pixel Analyser and obtained data copied to Grade. Added Colour Correct and Hue Correct to enhance the tint and saturation and lastly I used Light Wrap and Grain.

This is the fastest I've experienced on any pair of truly wireless earphones that I've tested. Not to mention beats claims up to nine hours of use with the case you're getting about an additional 15 hours of use for a total of up to 24 hours. Most truly wireless earphones I have tested, they've ranged from 12 hours to 15 hours give or take an hour for the extremes but the Powerbeats Pros, they're class leading with my testing at 50 percent volume like all my other truly wireless earphones.   Since we're talking about the case or maybe you have seen that in the image here. I know some will say this case is quite large and it is but to be fair how else are you going to have these ear hooks attached to the earphones themselves. The case itself had more than one light to indicate battery life. I wish the case featured USBC versus lightning to have a truly wireless port for all my devices. I know Apple fans will be upset hearing that but the iPad pro has USB C there might be a USB C iPhone coming down the road so if that's the case no pun intended, here that's future proofing yourself that would be ideal unless I don't think there's any other company doing this just yet but if we can make this case dust proof in or water proof that would give me 100% peace of mind. But again, that's me being nitpicky right there and wishing for features at this point.  And before I forget about this, there is audio pause and play when you take off your earphones the audio stops you put them back on and the audio plays again and this also works for video as well. Seconds, you can leave either one of these earphones out of your ear and the audio will still play. You can have the other earphone on the other side of the room if you want and the audio will still continue this signal is not dependent on the other earphone like traditional truly wireless earphones.

Only guys can tell us by here being all crazy or jacked up right now but let me know what you guys think down the review description below. There's no good sound bad sound to pick it up. Let's test out this audio.  as nice and expensive as my microphones are audio recorded on my end and then played through your speakers are not the best depiction of audio accuracy. It's just a sample but it is better than nothing but hence my filing audio review here the Powerbeats Pro is loud enough for most people. Loud but still comfortable to me is at about 75 percent volume, there is some sound leaking occurring,  So those sitting right next to me in a very quiet room, library whatever. Can hear what you're listening to so just be a little bit cautious about that. The ear tips do sit around the ear canal but they don't sit fully inside. Most people will find that more comfortable but keep in mind that it won't give you the best passive noise isolation as other truly wireless earphones and of course a little bit more sound leaking as well. These do let in some noise as much as it leaks out so if you're in a busy place you might have to turn it up to maybe 75 percent volume to encapsulate yourself here with your own audio and kind of drone out the outside noise. Again, that's only if you're in a very busy environment.

Now jumping into bass. it's deep at loud volumes its rumbling. It feels like I'm wearing wired earphones at times considering how deep these actually go. If you like bass no question the Powerbeats Pro is it the Jaybird X4 run ex tees were the next closest in bass for me but Jaybird X4 offers a punchy variation or more of a bass boosted audio signature. Versus offering deep bass like the Powerbeat Pros. Now going into the mid-range, the louder you go the more basses experience that's pretty obvious but I do notice the mid-range is just ever so slightly overshadowed by bass most. Having most average consumers, I think they'll be fine with this or the tolerance level is still within reason for most consumers.  Now if you're more of a technical audio listener or if you don't like the bass then you might prefer something more has more emphasis on the vocals / mid-range something that may be a little bit more forward in that mid-range frequency. This is simply a matter of preference the high frequencies would never ear in your tingey in my opinion but if anything, that is clear or lacking actually in some resolution or detail on the top and especially that loud volumes at moderate listening levels. It's not a big deal, a little bit more detail a little bit more Sparkle up top would have been much better as for soundstage there isn't much of a wide soundstage either you get decent audio separation but nothing huge or class defining. powerbeats pro These are great with hip-hop and EDM most but not all pop songs will do well. Those favoring vocals, I would consider these. Powerbeats Pros are no question bass ear truly wireless earphones if you prefer a pair that's more so for jamming outs verses technical accuracy, the Powerbeats Pro are recommended to. At least give them a try if you highly value the better life connectivity, the ear hooks alone comfort instability. Beats Wireless Earbuds PowerBeats Pro | True Bass Earbuds

Not only in price but also performance it's been quite some time and I'm sorry that's just the truth over the years Beats hasn't really said anything new that is in your audio department but today finally we got the Powerbeats Pro and the specs are quite impressive. Now it's a hefty $250 retail at the time. They're very much on the upper end with the Sennheiser and the Vino truly wireless earphones are priced slightly above and with let's say the bose sound sports the Jabra lineup and also the truly wireless earphones from jaybird those are a little bit below as always. I'll be going over both pros and cons also click on my affiliate links down below for the most updated prices in real time you never know when these things might go on sale.

Physical Features

Going over the physical features first. I anticipated these were going to be bulky and they were going to stick out that the earphones would also bounce around during intense movements with my testing on all fronts. They don't, they're actually quite flush against my ear and for the first time I can run with a hoodie on and the earphones don't feel as though they'll fall out from gently rubbing against that fabric.  Now with more intense movements simply demonstrate myself jump-roping here I'd never had any doubt that they would fall off and more importantly I don't feel that the ear tips will be lifting off my ears and losing sound quality. That's really impressive, these are truly wireless earphones. One of the issues that I've noticed when I had the Powerbeats 3 now of course cosmetically I think they look pretty damn good too. Now all of this praise off physically being stable it's because of these ears they are adjustable and does retain its shape. They do feel more competent than the Powerbeats 3 as it's a bit stiffer and the casing feels a little bit more durable. So, we'll see over time now I love the fit on my draw bars and my Samsung Galaxy buds more recently those who were great but I will admit the ear hooks do provide that extra level of stability.

Now moving on beats are claiming these are water and sweat resistant spraying the crap out of these things right here they are still working perfectly fine. I was hoping for some sort of ingress rating or considering that we've had all this time to design these having it be submersible/ Although overkill would have given me more peace of mind there's a few other competitors out there that offers just that why not the Powerbeats Pro. You can't be in your shower listening songs under heavy water pressures. Mic, Buttons & voice commands

But getting a closer look easily identifiable multi-function button. The actions are identical on either side which I really liked. Little volume rocker buttons are located at the very top and also are easily identifiable. Everything is there except for transparency mode. Maybe some people call it here through ambient to air whatever name these companies give them beats does not have the ability to turn on the internal microphones so you can hear your environmental noises nearly. Everyone else is offering it and I know a bunch of you use it for safety while running. Some uses these truly wireless earphones while working to hear if your boss sneaks up on you. We don't get that again with your Powerbeats Pro.  Last test I confirm you can activate Siri with your voice as it seems to always be listening for that command. Awesome feature or of course you can always hold down the beats logo again on either side of these earbuds. Now with Android using my voice didn't work for me. You can only activate Google assistance with the button press or telling the button hold all right.  

Bluetooth & Apple H1 Chip

Now moving on to the good stuff here. The technology there's this new Apple H1 Chip inside and it's working wonders. Yes, you do get amazing fast and seamless bluetooth pairing a very similar experience to those who had ear pods previously and with my iPhone I'm averaging about two seconds when the case opens to when the iPhone brings up this cool 3d spinning thing in battery life. In states definitely fast enough for me though but I love how seamless and more importantly how consistent it's been with Android, it's honestly not a slouch either. On screen is proof with my new pixel 3a I've been testing it connects on average in three seconds. Either scenario either phones by the time you put these earphones back into your ear. Adjust them, get them properly seated. It's already been paired.  Now since we're on the topic of Bluetooth, yes, I can't connect to more than one device at a time. yes, after testing playing video on either Android or iPhone where the YouTuber Netflix, I had zero syncing issues. Now although I couldn't find if the Powerbeats Pro uses bluetooth 5.0 or not which is typically used to signify which version a device uses. Apple States instead on their websites this uses a class 1 signal instead which means the earphones should be good up to 150 to 200 linear feet and yes wireless range and stability it has been great. I've been able to walk my entire apartment here with several walls in between and had zero signal loss. Now I also couldn't find if beats use apdex HD to determine how high of a resolution audio file it can handle but again I usually don't as there's been some great headphone / earphones without that high-resolution designation.
