Currently watching: I barely watch TV/movies — IDK I fell really out of it for a while. So I binge sporadically. But I have been watching the mens and womens gymnastics for the Olympics. And I watch a lot of Sims 4 (yeah, whataboutit) LPs/ build videos from James Turner and lilsimsie.

Spicy/sweet/savoury: Right now, I would like to eat the spiciest food someone could make for me. I'd even settle for just eating a raw jalapeño at this point.

Current obsession: RWRB, did we really think it was anything else? But also (always) The Raven Cycle, building in the Sims, my walking pad, organizing my home library, and home decor. Oh, and – a silly one – but I bought a red light face massager and ohhhh boy let me tell you. Delightful. Obsessed with that thing.

Relationship status: Been dating myself for a while. It's going well.✌️I think I’m gonna propose.

Last song I listened to: I'm bouncing between Intros & Narrators and Seasons & Narcissus both by Bastille (new songs! shoved into fic playlists the second I heard them, per usual, for reasons)

I mean I'm not surprised. People's perspectives change over time and that's fine. I have no problem offering grace. Especially as a lot of them try to venture into becoming a creator or further developing the content they already make, it's to be expected. You don't really realize how much work it takes until you actually get into it. Even things like LP's. They take so much behind the scenes work to set up. I didn't even know until and I tried it and woooweeee it ain't for me! I just think it's important to be mindful of the other creators around you. It's all of us doing our best with what we've been given and trying to make our own little dynamic stories around it. Whether that be for ourselves or to entertain others. The Sims Community is not just a gaming space. It's an artistic space also. We have to interact with each other's work with that in mind. Sometimes mishaps happen, sometimes we get a little too heavy-handed with inspo. (cough, lykaia season 1 and twilight) But all we can do is adjust and apologize if need be.

The Fosters returns tomorrow with S1E4!

Excited to introduce a few new characters in this next batch of episodes. We've got a lot of people to get through, so the camera lens will shift away from our usual suspects as the summer gets started. (Don't worry, we'll return to them soon enough!)

Moving forward, I thought I might let y'all know where I'm headed with this series. While Season 1 will remain on Tumblr, I'm thinking of filming my gameplay and putting Season 2 on YouTube (with mini-stories, updates, and more taking its place here). The Fosters was always meant to be a YouTube LP of sorts, but life got weird and I decided Tumblr was a great alternative. But now that I'm a bit more settled, I'd love to show my characters and their storylines in action! A few big life events are coming up for the main teens, and I want to flex my creative muscles in order to make my story as engaging and enjoyable as possible.

That being said, the story has already started. My solution right now is to treat Season 1 as a prequel season, one that sets up the story's main events. As stated before, we've got a lot of people to introduce and showcase, and since things don't really kick off until mid-summer, I've still got time to gradually ease us all into the story.

That's pretty much it! Hope you've all been well, and I can't wait for you to meet the Collins family! Mark and his sister Marissa (whom you've already spotted in previous episodes) will become important secondary characters within the next couple of Sim weeks.

1. What’s your favorite sims death? death by being hysterical bc that’s the best way to die haha

2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match? i am very much a maxis-match girly! no shade to alpha cc, just not my style :P

3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? nooo, not at all, i want the game to be as realistic as possible!

4. Do you use move objects? yes! building without it is a legit nightmare

5. Favorite mod? i can’t choose just one but my top three favorites are UI Cheats, More CAS Presets and anything from twistedmexi!

6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? wasn’t too long but I got the cats and dogs expansion pack bc i was so hesitant to make all my sims have pets hehe

7. Do you pronounce "live mode" like aLIVE or Living? LIVing

8. Who's your favorite sim that you've made? so far, it’s the lovely Mona Kaiser! idk but it’s like she came out exactly how I pictured + literally every outfit goes on her perfectly she’s just so ahhhh 🤭

9. Have you made a simself? yes I did! and I’m really happy with how she came out and I’m starting an LP on her :)

10. What sim traits do you give yourself? clumsy, socially awkward, loyal

11. Which is your favorite EA hair color? it’s gotta be either the third brown color swatch or the last blonde swatch that looks like a light blonde!

12. Favorite EA hair? i don’t have all the expansion packs yet + I mostly use cc hairs 😗

13. Favorite life stage? INFANTS AND YOUNG ADULT >> but tbh as long as I have the long lifespan setting on, I enjoy all of them bc I accomplish so much more stuff

14. Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? 10000% in it for the gameplay! I suck at building so I’ll download anything from the gallery + edit it as quick as I can so I can jump back into the game!

i specifically remember i was scrolling through youtube at, like, age 10 or 11 (i think?) and i found one of lifesimmer’s seasons lp videos and i was hooked !!

-->So -- after having some of their Winterfest spirit literally go up in smoke, it's no wonder that the trio wanted to go chill out -- somewhat literally. Victor retreated into his greenhouse to do the daily harvest, while Smiler made sure the chickens were well-fed and Alice did a little snow-shoveling to build up the old muscles. I'd just had them drop and make a couple of snow angels to try and recapture the fun they'd been having before the tree fire --

-->When who should I spot inside but one Clement Frost, adding presents to the present pile! I sent Smiler to go say hi to him and tell him about their weirdass day (though they ended up having to chase him to the foot of the front porch stairs, as for some reason he decided to hang out there molding some clay) while Alice joined Victor in the greenhouse, chatting with a gnome while Victor finished off his harvest. And then getting a lovely mistletoe kiss from him, as we can't do one couple and not the other! :) No matter what else happened today, at least everyone in the trio got their seasonally-appropriate smooches!

-->And then it was time to start asking Clement Frost for gifts! ...a process that took far longer than it should have, because the FIRST time Alice and Victor asked for their gifts, while the tradition completed, the interaction did not. I'm not ENTIRELY sure what broke it, but I think it had something to do with Alice and Victor standing at the TOP of the stairs to the porch when they asked, with Clement standing at the BOTTOM of the stairs and refusing to move at all. All I know is that Smiler, standing next to them, got theirs right away, while it took me trying to get everyone to go to the present pile to prompt Alice and Victor to receive theirs -- which only happened when Clement actually got up on the porch. *shakehead* This game, sometimes...but everyone DID get a gift from Clement in the end! And what did they receive?

...Smiler got ANOTHER big-ass karaoke machine; Alice got the giant microscope; and Victor got a fancy fridge that was not as good as the one they currently own. *facepalm* Clement, Smiler only needs ONE karaoke machine, Alice has no room for a giant microscope, and we already have all the fridges we could ever need, both at the store and the house. I guess we can safely say that Clement does NOT check HIS list twice! At least, not when it comes to figuring out what people already have or not.

-->Okay, well, that didn't go great -- surely the trio would get better presents from the present pile? I had them all gather around said pile (which took a couple of tries, as poor Victor was exhausted and Alice kept trying to wander off to play with clay) and open some presents. Smiler got a bowl of fruit (another thing we already have in the kitchen); Alice received some alcineat (either a new metal or mineral, I'm not sure -- at least it's not something she had before!); and Victor --

Uh. No clue. He had a disappointed face after opening the present, and no pop-up ever came up for him that I could see. As far as I could tell, the poor guy got an empty box. :( This Winterfest had gone pretty much completely from "awesome" to "awful."

-->However, I was determined to go out on SOMETHING of a high note, so Smiler and Victor got some heartfelt smooches and Alice and Victor some loving cuddles before the holiday was through. Because I WAS going to get my Valicer cuteness, damn it. Victor and Alice then slumped off to bed as Clement Frost took his leave, and I left it with Smiler transferring the Sim Scuffle LP they'd recorded earlier off the drone and into their media production station so it could be edited. Because when in doubt, work on SimsTube. :p

This series is scripted and complemented with rotational gameplay, slice-of-life rom-com drama, and soap opera antics. STARTED OFF LONG STORY FORMAT, NOW IN COMIC FORMAT. **Mature, NSFW, nudity, sexual activity, suggestive dialogue.**

START HERE ->Whimsically Yours, Emily -STATUS: ONGOING This started as vanilla gameplay, but I added essential mods and cc back to enhance what I needed. WYE is a lighthearted approach to my gameplay centered around a townie newbie named Emily Parrott, who just moved to Brindleton Bay. This series entails unserious slice-of-life moments, or in this case, "Whimsy Bits," anything almost goes, freestyle gameplay with commentary, going with the flow of what the game throws my way as Emily navigates her new life in a new town, all on her own. ***T+, Mild nudity, mild language.***

What you will find on my blog will be screenshots of my sims, cc finds, what mods I use for my gameplay, my builds, and the highlight of my entire blog being my first generational gameplay, The Gilmans. Gilmans are on an indefinite hiatus after I dropped the external hard drive that stored all of my screenshots and videos of them and I can no longer access the files :(
