I just reminded myself that the “visiting family” mechanic in the Sims 4 (where you can have family/friends temporarily in your household and control them) is in fact NOT a basegame feature (like so, SO MANY pack features should be) and I’d have to pay $39.99 for it. And this feature specifically would be INSANELY HELPFUL when designing my Black Butler save file. Because yknow, a certain reaper is supposed to be the grandfather of the twins but he doesn’t actually live at the Phantomhive manor (this part is especially important, I have to play through the Phantomhives’ births and deaths because said reaper, though being an old immortal death god, canonically looks no older than 27 and CAS wouldn’t let me set his relationship as a father to Francis and Vincent if I just made them in CAS because the game thinks they’re the same age.) Lizzie regularly comes to visit, etc. (I’m also looking for a hair cc or hair recolor similar to Gregory Violet’s, if anyone happens to come across one please lmk) and it just reminds me of ALL the ways the Sims 4 is frustrating. It’s supposed to be like playing with dolls in a dollhouse for adults but places so many limitations that to play it in that way is actually very difficult.
