I've been using this preset on my twitch for a bit now, and i've finally gotten around to releasing it!! I'm very happy with it and I currently use it for everything😅

Urban haze has a focus on realistic lighting with a slight hazy and warm feel. Less blue in shadows, darker nights, deeper afternoon shadows, saturated sunsets, balanced greenery. Use it in any world, I've tested them all :)

How to download:

♥ Download Reshade: (I use reshade 5.7.0, I can't say how this preset will behave with other versions of reshade, or G-shade.)

♥ During Reshade Installation, select The Sims 4, choose DirectX9 as the rendering API.

♥ Effect Packages to install: standard effects, sweetFX by CeeJay, qUINT by Marty McFly, color effects by prod80, and Legacy effects.

♥ Download urban haze below, drop it in your Sims 4 installation's "Bin" Folder

♥ Open the Sims 4, Disable edge-smoothing in your graphics settings if it's not already, In the reshade menu, set RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED= to 0 in global preprocessor definitions if it's not, and MXAO_TWO_LAYER= and MXAO_SMOOTHNORMALS= both to 1 in qUINT_mxao's preprocessor's definitions.

♥ If you're struggling with installation, I suggest you check out @kindlespice's installation tutorial! It was made for reshade 4.9.0 but the instructions remain the same.

Notes:

♥ Both Depth of field shaders are off by default, you can enable them using their shortcuts: ctrl + Q (MagicDOF), ctrl + W (MartyMcFlyDOF) or enable them manually.

♥ MXAO.fx also has a shortcut (ctrl + R) bc sometimes the DOF blur makes the shadows weird, most of the time it's fine!

♥ Could potentially be gameplay friendly, depending on your GPU! The MXAO and DOF shaders will be the most performance heavy, feel free to adjust to your liking.

♥ The pictures above were taken with this preset and no further editing, but I do use a few lighting mods that will affect how my game looks:

Zeus Cabin from Percy Jackson and the Olympians in The Sims 4 (no CC)

I'm used to making lots mostly for myself, but seeing the lack of PJO content available, I felt obliged to share one of my creations.

Based off text descriptions from the books and images from the graphic novels, I aimed to be as accurate as possible to the source material, while still adding the items every sim needs to survive.

Zeus Cabin v1 is mostly empty inside, except for Zeus' statue, the bird sculptures, and Thalia's stuff that she left behind at the end of the Saga Zeus Cabin v2 has added basic needs items (a fire pit to cook and a bush to pee, a shower, a sink and mirror, a tv and radio) also made the roof an actual dome

No custom content. bb.move objects enabled.

To get exact same look as the photo you'll also need: milk thistle lighting mod by softerhaze, eleanora reshade by ellcrze, NoBlu v2, NoGlo v2.1

Zeus's Cabin is described as looking like a white marble box, with heavy, white columns in the front. This cabin is the biggest and bulkiest of all the cabins. It has polished bronze doors that shimmer like a hologram, and have lightning bolts streaked down them. The dome-shaped ceiling is decorated with moving mosaics of a cloudy sky and thunderbolts. It also thunders all the time. The cabin has no furniture inside at all, described as looking like a bank. It only has alcoves with golden eagle statues and one intimidating statue of Zeus in the middle.

The Mermaid Princess (CC List)

I was super excited for the new live action 'The Little Mermaid', and I decided to make some cc inspired by it when I couldn't find much out there (especially for base game - the mermaid outfit is a dress, no Island Living needed). I started on most of these before seeing the film, but I tried to make adjustments after watching it.

This is the first time that I've made cc for The Sims 4, so I did the best I could with recoloring existing meshes (a HUGE thanks to those creators!). I made a few cc items way back when for The Sims 2 or 3, but it's been a while. I really enjoyed the process, so hopefully you'll see more creations from me in the future!

The meshes for the recolors are linked below, and the recolor files are attached on Patreon for free (no subscription needed). You'll need both the mesh and recolor for them to work. since i’m uninstalling sims 4 i’ve decided to upload my reshade preset bliss here so i can download it whenever. its made to work well with my slow laptop but no promises it'll work with yours. feel free to alter it to your liking!

i use sunblind by softerhaze and noglo + noblu by luumia <3

what lighting mods and presets are you using in your game?

I use the Luumia NoBlue and NoGlo lighting mods, as well as Miiko ghibli clouds override! I also use the Milk Thistle lighting mod by softerhaze. As for Reshade, I use my own Reshade preset which I have linked in the Sims 4 section of my Discord server💕

So...It's been a while...

I had to move to the US for work which means I only have access to my Mac to play The Sims 4 and it's pretty depressing, no reshade, I can't get organized debug to work, the resolution of my game is at its lowest and did I mention the lack of Reshade??

Anyways, I struggled to take good pictures for a while (find some under the cut) but recently I've downloaded @luumia's NoBlu and NoGlo and it made me fall in love with my game again so I thought I would share some screenshots.

Honestly, shame on me for not downloading these mods sooner.

The low res, the lack of shadows, the colors... Can you tell I hadn't figured out my settings yet?

At this time, I hadn't bought my external SSD yet so I was also missing loads of content because I did not have enough space on my Mac...

Anyways, I can't wait to get my Reshade back over the holidays (I'm going home in a few days!!! But I thought I would share a lil update in the meantime.

And yay!! I recreated the Smith family in Strangerville, and the Curious family, and Nervous Subject (that was before the release of Life and Death...) but I'm in a holiday mood rn so I will share my weirdos later!
