MonocoDoll's Vile Ventures (Drug Dealing) Mod Report (Small Additions, Additional Tunables, Animation Bloopers, Testing/Bug Fixes)

Another Month has passed. Which means another Mod Report for my Vile Ventures mod. This month I have been focusing on adding small additions, creating more tunables, attempt at first consuming animation, and testing the mod on a playthrough to find any bugs that may have been missed. Which I will go over these on the report.

[Small Additions]

-Shroom Harvestable

A new Shroom Harvestable has been created. As I honestly forgot to create one when I had previously made my other custom plants. The shroom seeds are obtainable through your NPC drug dealer after aquiring Drug Dealing Skill level 4.

You are also able to craft your own baggies of Shrooms through obtaining 6 Shroom ingredients and one baggy.

The Shroom Baggies are also obtainable through your Drug Dealer NPC, and there are no skill requirements needed to obtain the consumable shroom baggies.

-Illegally aquiring Drug Seeds

You are now able to obtain Drug Seeds Illegally via your NPC Drug Dealer. However, you must meet a certain threshold within your Drug Dealing Skill level. The prices for each seed is tunable.

-Drug Dealing Skill Level 3: Unlocks White Widow and Purple Haze Buds

-Drug Dealing Skill Level 4: Unlocks Skunk and OG Kush Buds. As Well as Shrooms seed.

-Drug Dealing Skill Level 5: Unlocks AK47 and Amnesia Buds. As well as Coca Seeds.

-Drug Dealing Skill Level 7: Unlocks Opium Seed.

-Racket Inheritance

Any Rackets that your Drug Dealer Sim owns can now be passed down to someone in the case of your sim dying. You are able to ask any Teen or above sim to take over your operations when you pass. The sim being asked must not be against Illegal drugs and need to have at least a friendship relationship established. Otherwise they will not accept your offer.

In the case that your sim who owns the Illegal racket does not assign anyone to inheret the rackets. The Rackets will first be handed to a child of the sim. If no children are present, then a sibling. If No siblings are present, then a parent. Otherwise, the racket will be lost upon death.

-Added Extra Benefits For Completing Drug Dealing Challenges.

Completing the Cannabis Dealer Expert, Psychedelic Dealer Expert, Pill Dealer Expert, and Powder Dealer Expert challenges now provides an additional bonus on top of just increasing sale earnings for the category of the drug. Completing these category challenges will now net you high quality product when you are crafting your own supply. So collecting your cured weed while having the Cannabis Dealing Expert challenge completed will provide you with high quality cannabis baggy instead of normal quality cannabis baggy.

-Lean Is Craftable

Lean is now craftable. Select a Styfoam Cup. You will need Jolly Ranchers, Sprite, Styrofoam Cup, and Cold Medicine. The cold medicine has up to 4 uses. So with one cold medicine, you can create up to 4 Lean.

-Using Baby Laxatives to Cut High Quality Cocaine

Baby Laxatives will be obtainable at the grocery store. On Drug Dealing Skill level 2, you will be able to utilize them to cut High Quality Cocaine Baggies into normal quality Cocaine Baggies. Which will either net you two or three Normal Quality Cocaine Baggies.

-Finished Making Moodlet Images For each Custom Moodlet

At this moment, the total amount of custom moodlets provides by this mod will be 106. The images for these moodlets have been completed.

[Additional Tunables]

I also added some notable tunable's to certain features. There are many more, but I will notate the ones that were introduced during this month.

-Overdose Chances

Chance of overdosing on drugs are tunable. By default the values for each drug.

Lean: 60%

Adderall: 40%

PainKillers: 50%

Xanax: 45%

MDMA: 55%

Cocaine: 70%

Meth: 80%

Heroin: 90%

Overdosing can only occurs if your sim takes more than one dose of the substance when they are already under the effects of that substance.

-Fatal Overdose Chances

You can also determine the chances of an overdose being fatal. If the overdose is fatal, the sim will die. If it is not fatal the sim will be knocked out and fall asleep. By default the values for a fatal overdose are...

Lean: 40%

Adderall: 30%

PainKillers: 40%

Xanax: 20%

MDMA: 30%

Cocaine: 50%

Meth: 70%

Heroin: 80%

-Time it takes to Cure Weed

Previously, the time it took to cure weed in a jar was not a tunable. While I was playing a playthrough with my mod, I figured that some would appreciate this as a tunable. By default it is 24 hours.

-Time It Takes for Cocaine Brick and Meth Package to finish

Previously, the time it took for Cocaine Brick and Meth Package to be completed in their respective containers was not a tunable. The time it takes is now tunable. By default, it takes 48 hours for a Cocaine Brick and Meth Package to be collected in their respective containers after filling it up.

-Drug Dealing Skill Points earned per Sale

You will be able to dictate just how much skill points your sim earns per type of drug sold. By Default selling Cannabis, Psychedelic, Pill, and Powdered type drugs net you 100 skillpoints. Which is a bit of a grind. For example at the moment during my playthrough I sold 139 drugs and I just got to Drug Dealing Skill level 5.

[Animation Attempt]

There was an attempt during the month to at least produce one consumption animation for this month. However, the prop refused to appear in the correct location. I'm still unsure what went wrong, but I will continue to look into it. The attempt was made for the drink Lean animation.

[Changes/Fixes Made During Testing]

I decided to perform a playthrough with my mod. To determine if I should make any changes or if there are any bugs that need fixing. Which there were a few I found.

-Fixed Bug Preventing my custom plants from growing overtime.

-Fixed a Bug Preventing the heat system from saving after reloading a save:

Example, my sim had a heat level of 15. Making him eligible to potentially have his residence raided. However, when I reloaded my save after saving. My sims heat level went back down to 0. This is resolved and heat level will be retained even after reloading a save.

-Fixed Empty Jars having a black substance inside of them:

This was a problem I had in the past, but didn't decide to expirement to try to fix it until it started to bother me in my playthrough. The black substance only appeared after you collected your cured cannabis. However, the empty jars are now truly empty.

-Made a adjustment to crafting drugs via the Chemistry Table:

Previously when processing Coke Powder, Meth Tray, Heroin, and MDMA there were no Drug Dealing Skill Requirements. I decided to go back and add a Drug Dealing Skill requirement in order to produce these drugs via the Chemistry Table. Especially for Meth. Since all the ingredients to produce meth is obtainable through the grocery store. Which will make it too easy I thought. So now on top of the logic skills required to produce these substances. MDMA production will require a Drug Dealing Skill of 4, Cocaine/Meth Production will require a Drug Dealing Skill of 5 Heroin production will require a Drug Dealing Skill of 7. Cannabis and Shrooms still do not require a drug dealing skill. Just the necessary ingredients for now.

And that is all I have to report on for this month. We went over creating a Shroom harvestable, Racket Inheritance, Crafting Lean, Obtaining Drug Seeds Illegally, Cutting High Quality Cocaine with baby laxatives, Adding more tunables, and making adjustments and fixing bugs found during my playthrough.

I had fun testing the early game of my mod. I managed to make it to drug dealing skill level 5 and was satisfied with the early game of the mod. I will continue to test my playthrough and attempt to make it to the late game of my mod. Where I will be attempting to own my own rackets and ensure that they work just perfectly. If all is well during my playthrough then everything is complete regarding my Drug Dealing side of the mod. And all that would be left are the final touches of the consumption of these substances. Which will include consumption Animations, reactions of nearby sims when smoking, and a rolling skill for joints and blunts, and possibly anything else that I may think of later on.

Now I'm going to go back to being a ghost. However, again thank you for all those that are patient.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

The only fandom I've written for as an adult has been the Magnus Archives (and I actually have a lot of thoughts on why tma was sort of a perfect storm for getting me back into creating and consuming fanfic, but I'll spare you for now). There are a couple other fandoms I wrote for when I was in middle school back in the fanfic(.)net days, but some things are better left in the past.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

Say You Love Me (Learn to Lie)

5. Do you respond to comments?

Sometimes. I really want to get more consistent about it, but my executive dysfunction makes it hard. My big problem now is that it feels weird to go back and respond to comments I got months ago, but it also feels rude to respond to more recent comments without ever responding to those older ones, so I'm feeling kind of stuck. One day, though, my ADHD will be properly medicated and I will get back to responding to every comment I get.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Angst is one of those things that I love to read but don't always think to write, so pretty much all of my fics have happy endings atm. The only ones that can really be said to have angsty endings are the pre-Unknowing and safehouse fics where the knowledge of what will happen next in canon makes any ending automatically bittersweet. With that in mind, let's go with Hold My Hand When My Courage Fails, because I DO think a pre-Unknowing kiss makes season 4 angstier.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Like I said, I write almost entirely happy endings, so it's hard to narrow this one down. I'm gonna go with Say You Love Me (Learn to Lie) because I threw in the completely unnecessary (but still necessary to me) detail that Sasha survives the Prentiss incident at the end of that one.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

No! I've been very lucky on that front.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I haven't, though I might someday. As an ace person (somewhere in the sex-nuetral/sex-averse realm) I don't feel super confident in my ability to write good smut. It's really intimidating, but I'd love to try some day.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Not really? The only thing I've written that could be crossover is my fic where Jonathan Sims competes on Jeopardy!, but I'm not really sure that counts.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Not that I know of.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

My AO3 history should make it clear I'm pretty fond of Jonmartin, but I'm also a big Griddlehark (tlt) fan.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I've started a tma fic that's essentially a Marple AU (with Gertrude as the Miss Marple surrogate) that plays with the idea of sleuth-as-Beholding-avatar, but it's very tricky to blend all the plot threads I want to include together into one cohesive mystery, so I don't know if it will ever get finished.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I'll be honest, I don't think I'm a very good judge of my own writing, especially my strengths. It's not that I think I'm a bad writer necessarily, but I really struggle to pinpoint any one thing that I do well - especially because for every aspect of my writing I like, I can point to five writers in the same fandom who do that much better. Right now I'm just glad I'm getting stuff written at all.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I worry that my characterizations tend to be pretty thin. I also struggle in juggling more than a few characters at a time, and sometimes I will omit characters who logically should be in a fic just because I can't think of anything for them to do.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I don't have anything against it. I could see people running into problems if they write dialogue in a language they themselves don't speak (relying on Google translate, for instance) but in general I don't see anything wrong with it.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

The Uglies series by Scott Westerfield, back when I was in middle school.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

Don't make me choose!

I might have to go with Say You Love Me (Learn to Lie) because that was the most fun I've ever had writing and publishing a fic - the response to that one was really great, and since that was one of the only times I actually managed a consistent release schedule, it felt really nice having that to look forward to every Tuesday.

But SYLM(LTL) was my answer for like half of these questions, so I'll also throw out Cut My Hair and Changed My Face (I'm Learning How to Forget That Place). I did a pretty terrible job of tagging that one and it didn't get a lot of hits, but it's one of my favorites. I love s4 Jmart angst, I love Jon & Daisy's s4 friendship, and I frankly can't believe it took me so long to write a fic combining the two.

Hey, I just a casual enjoyer of the Fnaf franchise but is confused on the lore as well didn't have much time recently to catch up in some of the recent materials so correct if I am overthinking based off wrong fact and information.

But I was able to watch some clips and browse through the Fnaf on the net. One thing was bugging me was that I feel like there alot more references toward Fnaf 6 and the sister location.

Granted they might be popular with the community but something feel off since from what I seeing, there seem to be alot more references toward those games than the others. Idk my observation might be wrong.

But if that the case, aren't those games based heavily on the Afton family where Michael is somewhat certain to be the main character there. Idk my bias toward that purple corpse of a man is showing up here.

Yeah, there are a lot of references to them, but those somewhat are the games where the story started really taking off, and the Pizzaplex being built on top of the Pizza Sim location definitely increases the connections there.

Michael is a super important character, being a player character in all of the first six games (in a way), and yeah, the Afton family is a pretty big focus in FNAF 4-6

All 5 urns are hidden in the basement of the house in Brindelton. They were all killed by Bernie, who had to max the flower arranging and gardening skills to accomplish this.

Bernie also completed the Challenge-Wide goal of maxing 12 skills with one sim.

Bem, assim como no ano passado eu tive bastante dificuldade de escolher os meus lançamentos favoritos, com a diferença de que ano passado teve lançamentos sólidos e extremamente bons, e esse ano? Bem... os lançamentos foram muito "ok" ou tão desinteressante quanto mamar uma pica meia bomba. Mas ainda sim me esforçei pra vir aqui registrar meus favoritos para os 2 desocupados que lêem esse blog.

Eu me rendi muito a panterona esse ano, e quem resiste né? Ela é um amor de pessoa, faz música boa, tem ótimas referências, tem um estilo fubanga anos 2000 e parece uma carioca média chamada Rayanne, tipo? SHE IS SO REAL. Estou obssecado por ela, por esse álbum e pela mixtape anterior a esse trabalho, uma grande revelação esse ano (Ps: eu queria MUITO ter feito um post exclusivo pra esse álbum aqui, mas infelizmente os últimos 2 bimestres do terceirão + ENEM acabam com os últimos resquícios de vida de qualquer estudante).

O tripleS me conquistou muito esse ano, até porque elas são um projeto ambicioso muito parecido com o LOONA que é eu meu grupo favorito, até porque elas tem direção criativa do Jaden Jeong, o mesmo do LOONA. Assim, esse ano o grupo fez 4 lançamentos, essa foi a terceira unit do grupo e digo sem medo algum que foi a melhor em tudo (menos em conceito porque e tão tosco (mas divertido) isso de capitalismo feminino), tem a melhor formação de todas as units, o melhor Mini Album e enfim, foi o melhor trabalho delas até agora.

Eu confesso que não curto muito as músicas dela, mas esse álbum é tão identificável que é impossível não gostar (apesar de eu ter escutado pouco e em momentos específicos), as letras apesar de parecer sem sentido tem tantos significados, sinto que se eu sentasse em uma mesa de bar com ela e desabafasse, ela iria me entender.

E o aespa que foi de um grupo muito odiado pra um dos mais amados do dia pra noite, e muito disso vem desse lançamento que pra mim foi o melhor lançamento feminino do kpop esse ano. Meu único problema real com esse trabalho é o fato da tracklist não ser coesa, as músicas do Mini Album posterior delas combinam bem mais com a proprosta desse que é ser um verão divertido.

Eu já expliquei a situação do LOONA em todos os posts que eu fiz aqui com os lançamentos após o hiatus do grupo depois de terem saído da BBC, e esse aqui dentre todos até o momento foi o melhor. Elas literal deram um tapa na cara de todo mundo que duvidou da capacidade delas por serem as mais "fraquinhas" do grupo, e ainda trouxeram a sonoridade que o LOONA devia ter seguido, foram MÃES aqui.

Definitivamente eu gosto muito desse Mini Album mas é inegável que apesar delas combinarem demais com essa sonoridade UK Garage e Drum & Bass isso aqui não tem o mesmo impacto e carisma que o Mini de estréia delas.

Sims 4 challenge; The Family Legacy Challenge

Objective: Create a family and help them leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.

Rules:

1. Create a single Sim and move them into an empty lot.

2. The Sim must have the "Family Oriented" trait.

3. The Sim must marry and have at least two children.

4. The family must live in the same house for at least 3 generations.

5. Each generation must have at least 2 children, and the family must have a total of 10 children by the end of the challenge.

6. Each generation must have at least one Sim with a unique career or skill.

7. The family must have a net worth of at least §1,000,000 by the end of the challenge.

Top 3 Ships: ermm i think lucifer/sandalphon has held that crown for at least the last 5 years i simply can't let go of the power it has on my brain nor can i explain it... no.2 is possibly ryokira... it's like the only other ship i always go back to every other year. i also seek out a net total of Zero content pertaining to them I just think the way canon handled them was fulfilling enough for me to not want to read fic about them? it's odd and for a more recent one aziraphale/crowley has had my heart since late july... everything hurts so good

It's me again, at the start of a new generation in my legacy where I've posted pretty much nothing since the last gen started.

With the help of my misunderstanding of WickedWhims settings, Silas (heir chosen for 2nd gen) ended up with several kids out of wedlock. He got his girlfriend in San Sequoia pregnant before he left for university, and then slept with a few women at university (as I went after a romance aspiration), most of whom also conceived.

After he moved back to be with his initial two daughters (Misty and Trinity), he joined his uni degree bonus job (investing) and as his net worth grew, he took their moms to court for primary custody (via a mod). He also calmed tf down and became poly/partnered with two female sims, whom he was (mostly) exclusive with for the rest of his life. One of his partners struggled with infertility, so their third partner was a surrogate for them, resulting in twins. Just before the twins were born, he and an old flame from university welcomed an oopsie daughter, Mila, who he subsequently brought into the family home, she is only a day or so older than he and his partner's twins, Jett and Aisha, and as such, they were raised as triplets.

While they were extremely rich, Silas was a workaholic (with his investing job and businesses he bought) and was rarely home. His partners weren't very maternal and had job aspirations of their own (one an artist, another an athlete) - the kids were mostly raised by a live-in nanny and the household's butler. The middle girls recently moved out to live with Aisha and her husband, and the eldest (and 2/4 of her kids) still live with Silas's partners in the mansion.

Misty, the eldest, was probably the most troubled of Silas's children, despite having the happiest childhood. She was a great student and the cheerleading captain... but ended up pregnant. She gave birth to twins in high school which she put up for adoption. Later, post-university, she reconnected with the twins' father and subsequently got pregnant with another set of twins, resulting in a shotgun wedding and an awful marriage that ended in her... uh... poisoning his birthday cake resulting in his death. Honestly, justified.

Trinity, Mila, and Aisha had pretty uncomplicated lives. Trinity went on to get a distinguished degree in drama and almost immediately became a top dollar actress. Mila, similarly, got a computer science degree and works at a tech startup. She was valedictorian, even after working through the death of her mother while she was a teen. Aisha was a boy crazy teen but made it through unscathed, and after Misty, was the second in her family to marry.

I had trouble picking an heir, and ultimately chose the only boy, who has taken after his father in terms of university. Silas died very recently, and his net worth (nearly §400,000 after selling off the businesses) was divided amongst his 5 kids (while leaving a reserve for his partners).

While Jett the nepo baby has joined his father's company, he really feels that he wants a better work-life balance. He and his high school sweetheart, Meredith, conceived their first child already, though - and she's moved into the mansion for the time being. They're madly in love, and both are happy with the surprise. Jett is hoping to put some of his inheritance toward buying a house for his little family.

Meredith was adopted as a toddler through the foster system. Her hometown is Chestnut Ridge, which she hopes to get back to someday, as San Sequoia is not vibing with her farm upbringing. They met in part because her parents adopted the twins Jett's eldest sister, Misty, gave birth to while she was in high school. Her parents aren't thrilled about the pregnancy but are supportive.
