An Explanation of the Harrie Sims 4 CC Situation

Disclaimer: In no way am I trying to spread gossip and drama however I believe this is fairly well known at this point, however when googling it, it is hard to find information about so I thought I would make a post to share it myself. [anything bolded is for emphasis, anything italics has a screenshot proof at the bottom]

Summary of the situation Well-known Sims 4 CC creator, Harrie/HeyHarrie created a Winterfest CC collection, which in my opinion contains multiple lovely and well-presented CC. The reason why this is seen as a huge issue is that it has been released a few days before Christmas, but only for Patreon subscribers. This means that the public release is not until 14th February 2025 [please note this is Valentines Day, as they mention not wanting to release on other holidays]

This means that to download this in time for the holidays you must be paying a minimum of £4.50 per month. For obvious reasons, this upset multiple people as it is clearly intended for the holiday season. Harrie, and friend/partner/website collab Felixandre make multiple thousands of dollars per month from Patreon, and can afford to release some things for free.

Unfortunately, this is not where the situation ends, it is the beginning. When issues and questions about this were raised to her, Harrie was extremely rude to people.

At the bottom of this post is both the photo used to promote the collection, to show the holiday theme, as well as screenshots of her responses to the situation. I highly recommend you read these to fully grasp the situation.

I was unaware of these issues in the past as I try to stay out of situations like Sims drama, however when it becomes borderline bullying, something must be said. I am also disappointed that EA has supported her for so long [creator code, items in the game, etc] considering the paywall issue.

Side note: I have found complaints on Reddit from over a year ago that Harrie had been rude to them and blocked them as well. Obviously, I do not have the best evidence for this, but considering the situation, it is highly likely. I have found similar complaints about Felixandre, with whom she shares a website. I was also made aware from TikTok that it had been mentioned she utilises AI to create her CC. I couldn't find anything concrete about this, however, it is a good thing to note [especially when charging people]

Just to be clear as many people have mentioned the AI part, it was something I heard that I do not have evidence for but have heard a lot of rumours about.

EA confirmed and stated a couple of years ago that early access is not supposed to be over two weeks. You of all people should know this since you were one of the MANY people involved in the early access fiasco with Cowbuild and other modders that went under fire for having CC that was on early access for more than two months/not having any free CC at all.

Having Christmas CC become free at VALENTINE’S DAY???? Are you kidding me? Do you not realize how ridiculous and stupid that is? Not only is it OVER the two weeks early access period, but its being realized way after the holiday has already ended. Nobody’s going to give a shit about Christmas by the time your CC is released.

Have some common sense, Harrie.

Early access is fine and modders have every right to use it for their content, but two months is insane.

1. What happened to Turbodriver is fckn disgusting. Alotta yall impatient mofos're ungrateful as all hell. Instead of having energy for folx like CWB, Bergdorverse, etc. who partake in utter bullswanky, these impatient amoral fckers decided that the person they wanted to give absolute hell to was TURBODRIVER-- who consistently updates and makes sure his ish work properly (for YEARS)-- who informed everyone in advance that the WickedWhims update was gonna be slightly delayed bc he'd be on vacation and for some reason, a 2-3day delay from yall Sims fuckin was what broke the camel's back?!?!?!?!

modders like CWB not only steal assets from other websites and sells it as they own, dox, harass, and try to bully people into silence for speaking out against them (and lie about having a fckn legal team) but recently

a mofo (skinccreator) admitting she only joined the Sims Community to make money (and it's been alleged that sis is straight up stealing from SL creators herself) and

GREENLLAMAS ADMITTING TO BEING LAZY AND PAYWALLING BASEGAME ITEMS AND RECOLORS while still charging folks full price for their Patreon.

is beyond ridiculous and hypocritical in my opinion.

Hyacinth’s First Time

The jams were banging and the vibes were hot until he bumps into this girl from school. They were so annoyed at each other’s presence. Porcupine had known as this slack off so she brushed him off and Hyacinth just wanted to introduce himself to her because he thought she was cute. All of a sudden, Hyacinth, in the dazed state that he was, asked this random stranger to just dance with him.

She rolled her eyes as if she was uninterested, but ultimately decided to cave in. This blossomed a spark inside of Hyacinth as they dance through the night. One thing led to another and this stranger asked Hyacinth to woohoo until the sun went up.
