Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Today you were spending time with Donnie while he worked in front of his monitors. You liked it there much better than in his lab. He had a map of the city up with little marks indicating spots where the Foot had been spotted. But that wasn’t what he was working on right now.
No, you and Donnie were doing much more important things at the moment.
Like playing the new update in Stardew Valley.
“Fishing mods are cheating.”
You gawked at him in mock offense. “But you can’t pause in a multiplayer farm, there’s no time to play the fishing mini game!!”
“That’s why it’s more of a challenge!” He stuck his tongue out while he clicked his mouse rapidly to fight off a slime in the mines.
You pouted, adjusting the laptop in your lap. “I don’t need my cozy farming sim to be challenging…”
Donnie did not miss the cute grin that graced your face after, his heart fluttering in his chest.
These past few days you found yourself smiling more and more easily. Whether it was Mikey getting covered in flour while you baked cookies together, or Raph teaching you how to purl stitch, or Leo showing you how to wield a sword. You were enjoying spending more personal time with the turtles as you got to know them better.
Your toes curled where you were perched in the chair beside Donnie, glancing up at the map again. Your eyes always drawn to the blinking red dot marking the location of the lab you escaped only weeks before. The police had raided it and found it empty, which only increased your unease as to where Dr Stockman might be hiding. It already felt like a lifetime ago, that night when the turtles first found you.
You owed them your life.
“Hey (y/n), you almost ready for afternoon training?” Leo came over, snapping you out of your thoughts. Leo leaned against the back on Donnie’s chair, earning a dismissive swat from his younger brother.
“We’ll stop after we finish up this day, Leo.” Donnie said not even taking his eyes off the screen. You giggled and got back to fishing on the beach.
You were two hours into your training session with Leo.
“Okay, good. Now when you kick, focus on your balance. Stay firmly planted and your leg should have more power.” Leo coached you.
Master Splinter was supervising while sipping his tea. It had barely been 5 days since your mutant abilities had manifested. But you were already making astounding progress in unlocking its potential. Leonardo had played a big part in the process, being the one who had helped you work through your fears of using your mutant reflexes, so the abilities came more easily to you when training. He trained with you every day, while Master Splinter provided guidance. Everyone was doing their best to support you through all the changes.
Casey suddenly jogged in through the entrance of the lair.
“Guys! Just got word, the Foot are planning to rob a warehouse full of high tech weapons tonight. We gotta go intercept it.” He said waving around his cellphone.
“What? Where? Their communication frequency has been quiet since they moved those chemicals to the old Sacks building!” Donnie spun around in his chair to face Casey, you and Leo walking into the living room with Raph and Mikey close behind.
“Queens. Our contact in the Foot Clan leaked the info to us just half an hour ago.”
“Huh, that’s strange. That’s all the way on the other side of town. Aside from Sacks Tower, they’ve only really been active around the East Village and ChinaTown this past week. Maybe they changed their frequency again to throw us off track.” Donnie was quickly typing up info on his keyboard.
“Well, regardless, we better go check it out.” Leo sighed. He wanted to keep training with you, but it would have to wait.
“Heck yeah! I’m bringin’ the steak-out snacks. Who wants Doritos?” Mikey grabbed his ratty old Jansport backpack and started shoving cans of Orange Crush into it.
“(Y/n), you stay here and keep an eye on Donnie’s computer. The Foot might try to communicate about their raid tonight. Donnie’s program will intercept it. April will be here in about an hour, so just tell her if anything suspicious comes up.” Leo asked you.
“Right!” You said standing to attention and giving a military salute with a silly little grin on your face.
It made Leo’s heart melt in his chest and his expression turned soft.
“Just, stay safe, okay?” He patted you on the head then headed for the exit.
As the rest of the boys filed out of the lair, they each stopped by you. Mikey getting a high five, you quickly cleaned Donnie’s glasses for him, and Raph, always last, ducked down for a quick hug when his brothers weren’t looking. Casey rushed ahead of them.
Master Splinter waved goodbye to his sons next to you. Once the boys had left, he informed you he was going to go meditate, and to come find him if you needed anything.
About 45 minutes later, you were casually watching YouTube videos on Donnie’s computer when a flashing red light appeared on the screen. It was indicating that Donnie’s program was intercepting a message from the Foot’s closed communication server. A message popped up on the screen, and you gasped.
“We have captured the turtles. Continue with the plan.”
Then a video feed loaded up on the main screen.
Your blood ran cold.
It looked like the feed from a security camera, depicting Leo, Mikey, and Donnie all locked in glass cages, restrained with thin tubes of red connected to their arms. They looked weak, they looked bad.
“What….? No… No, not this… please no…!”
Where was Raphael? He was nowhere to be seen. How did they get captured so fast…? They had barely been gone an hour!
Your mind was racing. You recognized those machines. Dr Stockman used them to take blood samples from Bebop and Rocksteady. If that was the case, there was no time to lose.
You made up your mind.
You snuck past the dojo and muttered a quick apology to Master Splinter. You knew Master Splinter wouldn’t let you go, so you kept quiet. Then you grabbed the handheld GPS device Donnie left on his work table. You entered the location on the map where the message was sent from.
The old Sacks Tower.
Time to move.
April arrived at the lair much later than expected. She and Casey had just finished speaking to the commissioner about police activities being leaked to the Foot. When they entered the living room, they were confused to only see Master Splinter waiting for them. The old rat was pacing and anxiously stroking his beard.
“Splinter? Where’s (y/n)?” April asked, confused.
Splinter shook his head.
“You don’t know where they are?” April became concerned, walking further into the lair.
“It appears, that our greatest fears have been realized.” His expression deeply troubled. Before April could ask, she noticed what Splinter was looking at.
Playing in a loop on Donatello’s monitor was old CCTV footage from when the turtles had been captured 10 years ago by Shredder and Mr Sacks. April breathed a sigh of relief, immediately recognizing the scene.
“Splinter, the turtles are safe. I spoke to Leo on the phone only 10 minutes ago. They’re staking out a warehouse in Queens. This is old footage.”
Splinter’s eyes widened and looked back to the screen. His expression turned contemplative.
“If that is so, then perhaps Miss (y/n) has made the same mistake.” He spoke gravely.
April had a look of shock. She quickly pulled out her phone and speed dialed Leo’s number.
Leo thankfully answered quickly. “Hey April, anything new?”
“Leo, is (y/n) with you?”
Leo paused a long moment and sent a look over to his brothers, getting their attention. “No…. Aren’t they at the lair?” All of his brother's eyes were suddenly on him. Leo turned the phone on speaker.
“No!! They’re gone. And there’s a video playing on Donnie’s computer. It’s a recording of you Mikey and Donnie locked up at Sacks’ estate from over 10 years ago… I think this is what (y/n) saw before they left.”
“They left?” Leo felt his heart drop into his stomach. “To go where, Sacks’ estate?” His brothers immediately started packing up their stakeout equipment to leave.
“No I don’t think so, the sender’s location was tracked, it’s still on the screen. It says it was sent from Sack Tower in Times Square.”
Donnie came over and joined in the call, typing furiously at the keyboard on his wrist. “Sacks Tower. That’s where they were spotted smuggling those stolen chemicals into the other day…! From my notifications, it appears that the message was sent through an older Foot Clan communication frequency approximately 43 minutes ago.”
“Donnie, how long will it take (y/n) to get to Sacks Tower.”
“From my calculations, if (y/n) left the lair heading to the Sacks building about 40 minutes ago, going by subway, they should arrive in about uhhh, approximately 8 minutes.”
“And how long will it take us to get there.” Raph asked.
“From where we are now, if we manage to hitch a ride on the next nonstop train to Times Square…… about 1 and a half hours.”
“Shit!”
Raph cursed loudly and turned away frustrated, and Mikey put his hands on his head. Donnie was typing away at the keypad on his arm, trying to find any kind of faster route and muttering about how stupid he was for not making you a shellcell.
“We don’t have a minute to waste. Let’s move out.”
That’s all they needed to hear. Everyone sprung into action and booked it for the closest subway station manhole cover.
“April, we are headed to Sacks Tower as fast as we can. And get ahold of the police commissioner again. Whoever gave us the information to come to this warehouse tonight was intentionally planted with misinformation. There was no sign of the Foot at the warehouse. …..It was most likely a diversion.”
“Right. I’ll get back to you soon.”
Leo hung up the phone and jumped off the apartment building and dove down towards the street’s manhole cover.
Leo grit his teeth.
“Hold on (y/n).”
The halls of the building were eerily empty. This place made your skin crawl. The laboratory felt all too similar to the one you had been trapped in before. But this one had clearly been abandoned for a long time. Broken glass, graffiti, turned over chairs, scattered paper. But strangely the power was still on. You didn’t dare try to use the elevator in fear of giving away your position. But you were confused as to why you had yet to see any guards. This is where the message was sent from, the turtles had to be here, right?
You climbed the steps to another floor, but paused as you creaked open the door exiting the stairwell. This floor felt like a world apart from the previous ones. It was clean.
And the lights were on.
You kept low, and hyper vigilant. Steadying your breathing like Leo had taught you, you crept into the sterile white hallway. There were glass windows along the hall looking into different labs. One held chemistry equipment, another held big bulky medical equipment that clicked and beeped. Finally, the last room at the end of the hall, a room with no windows. You had a sinking feeling in your gut, but still you crept towards the door. Slowly and quietly you pulled open the heavy door, and revealed a large lit room with a high ceiling, and there you saw it.
“Guys….!”
There along the back wall were 4 glass boxes with 3 of the turtles strung up and being drained of blood. You had found them! Seeing no one else in the room, you rushed in.
“I’m going to get you out of here, just you wait!” You went to the first machine in front of Donnie and reached out to touch the screen-
Your hand passed right through.
“What…?” You tried to touch it again but there was nothing there.
The hologram distorted, and then the turtles disappeared. You gasped.
It was a trap.
You turned around to book it towards the exit, but the door was opening again. Bebop and Rocksteady squeezed through the small door one at a time, and blocked your exit. Then over an intercom you heard the familiar laugh that sent a shiver down your spine.
Stockman chuckled darkly. “Just how I planned it! Like catching a fly with honey. So predictable!”
You backed up slowly as Bebop and Rocksteady approached you.
“Did you miss us, little kitty?” Rocksteady sneered.
The intercom buzzed as Stockman spoke again. “Bebop, Rocksteady, keep them occupied until I arrive. I will be there momentarily. And let’s not have a repeat of last time, please!” There was a clicking sound and the intercom went quiet.
Bebop chuckled. “Hell yeah! It’s been so long since we last played! Let’s make the most of it.”
“That’s right! And we gotta pay you back for all the trouble you caused us! We missed you so much after you left. You wanna go first Beebs?”
“My man!” Bebop smiled at Rocksteady and clasped his hand, they both laughed.
You tried your best to steady your breathing like Leo taught you. Your hands were trembling. But you needed a way out. Bebop and Rocksteady were not fast, if you timed it right, maybe you can get past them to the door.
Bebop approached you. You stayed still and waited. Then when he got close enough, you ran right towards him, surprising Bebop. He reached out to grab you but you slid right between his legs, then jumped up behind him and tried to run past Rocksteady before he could react. He was still too close to you and managed to grab you from behind, but you were ready for him. Just like in training, you reached up and grabbed him around his neck, and taking a deep breath, you threw all your strength forward and down and managed to flip Rocksteady onto his back- stunning him. You quickly jumped over him and ran for the door, slamming into it fast and wretched the handle to pull it open.
Locked. (Warning for graphic depictions of torture ahead.)
“No…!” You felt a bruising grip close around your arm, and you were torn away from the door. “NO!!” You cried out as you were thrown hard onto the floor between the two oversized mutants.
“See? Now that’s your problem. You gotta go makin’ our job harder than it needs to be!” Bebop complained.
Rocksteady was picking himself back up, rubbing the back of his head tenderly. “Don’t let them get to ya Beebs, we’ll sort them out quick before Stockman gets here.” Bebop then reached into his pocket and pulled out an all too familiar black taser.
Rocksteady took the taser and chuckled. “Little kitty needs a check-up!”
You tried to get up and run, but Rocksteady stomped down hard on your left arm. There was a sickening snap and you screamed, writhing in pain. You were pinned.
“Tsk, tsk. You know what happens when kitty gets naughty!” The taser was flicked on, all you could do was close your eyes before a strong surge of electricity was shot into your ribcage and throughout your body. You convulsed as the shocks seized you, your shoulder getting dislocated from the spasms, then collapsed back on the floor.
“Just like good ol’ times!” Rocksteady passed the taser to Bebop.
Rocksteady laughed and removed his foot from your arm, then Bebop tased you in the ribs again. You yelped and rolled onto your stomach, tucking your very broken arm underneath you and tried to crawl away.
“Hey, where ya goin? We’re just getting STARTED!” Rocksteady punctuated his sentence by kicking you in the stomach hard enough to throw you across the room. You hit the ground and your body rolled another few feet until you stopped on your side and curled in on yourself, the air knocked out of your lungs.
Bebop took his time strolling over to you, and grabbed you by the hair to lift you up. You coughed and gasped for air, grabbing at his hand and tried to pry his fingers off of his grip.
“Think you can just up and leave whenever you want, do ya?” He growled in your ear, then dropped you down haphazardly to the floor. You were on your knees, buckled forward and holding your left shoulder, when suddenly Bebop’s foot stomped down on your right ankle and you heard a loud crunch.
You shrieked.
Exhausted and riddled with unbearable pain, you crippled to the floor. It took everything you had just to pull breath.
“Alright, I’m back! How is our lovely patient doing?” Came the cheerful sing-song voice of Dr Stockman entering the room through the locked door, Karai tailing behind him.
“Hey boss! Uhhh, we were just warming them up for ya! See? They can’t run away no more.” Bebop nudged your side with his foot, knocking you onto your side so Stockman could see the pain riddled on your face. You were barely conscious by this point.
“Excellent! Bring them to me.” Stockman ordered.
Bebop picked you up by your good arm and carried you over to where Dr Stockman was walking to in the back of the room. Karai stepped in Bebop’s way for a moment, taking in your beaten appearance, and back-handed your face hard for good measure, leaving a shiny bruise and angry red gash across your cheek. That woke you up a bit.
Just enough to retaliate.
You took a deep breath and tore your arm out of Bebop’s grasp and punched Karai in the stomach, hard enough to throw her into a large display screen next to where Stockman was standing. Stockman squawked in surprise. She rolled onto the floor, and pushed herself up onto her side. Spitting a bit of blood onto the ground and wiping away at her lip.
You tried to stand on your good leg but you were too weak and collapsed back to the floor. Bebop and Rocksteady grabbed you by each of your arms and brought you in front of Stockman.
He was looking at you in awe, and reached out tentatively to swipe at the blood on your cheek. He rushed over to his desk, jumping a bit in excitement. He put a drop of your blood onto a slide, and observed it under his microscope.
“Ha…! HA HA…! YES!!” Stockman shouted in excitement and did a little dance. Bebop and Rocksteady exchanged a confused look and Karai stood up and walked over to Stockman, eyeing you angrily and rolling her shoulder.
“What does this mean?” She questioned him.
“It means that the mutation was a SUCCESS!!! Those stupid turtles must have triggered it somehow. And now we can finally proceed with the plan!!!” He grabbed something off his desk and skipped over to the stairs leading up to the circular titanium base in the middle of the room. “Bring them here!!” He called over, waving his hand to Bebop and Rocksteady.
They dragged you over to Stockman, and were deposited on the round podium that sat under a large glass tube. Stockman started to pull down long rubber tubes from above, and attached large thick needles to the ends. You tried once again to crawl away with your good arm, as Bebop and Rocksteady retreated.
But Stockman approached you from behind. In a quick jab, he stabbed the two needled tubes deep into your back. You grunted and groaned in pain, but could do nothing, collapsing on the podium. Beaten, bruised, and bleeding.
When Dr Stockman was finished, he descended the stairs and rushed over to his computer, giggling excitedly he typed in a command and the glass tube descended over you until it clicked into place at the sturdy titanium base. Locking you inside.
“They’ll be placed in suspended animation. Once the tank is completely filled with the preservation fluid, they’ll become nothing more than a convenient blood bag, supplying an endless supply of mutagen for our mutant army.” Stockman rubbed his hands together evilly.
“And what about the turtles?” Karai asked.
“It is already too late for them to stop us. Even if they manage to get through your guards, they will be unable to free them from this tank. Once I start the filtration process, I will delete the programmed command to empty or release the containment cylinder. They won’t be able to free them without my help!” Stockman typed away quickly at his computer.
One of the tubes connected to your back began to pull blood from your body, leading up through a small opening in the top of the cylinder then down into a canister at the base. Then from the second tube, a white milky substance full of liquid nutrients began to filter through and down into your body. It did nothing to numb the pain you felt as you laid there in a state of half consciousness.
Suddenly, the loud banging of gunshots could be heard somewhere outside the door.
“We’re not ready yet! Hold them back!” Stockman ordered Bebop and Rocksteady, who positioned themselves between Stockman and the door.
The door suddenly blew wide open, and the four turtles rushed into the room, angry and weapons at the ready.
“Where’s (y/n).”

New Sims 2 Challenge
Hi all! I have been working on a new challenge called 'Grow your own Hood' or GYOH challenge. It combines aspects from other challenges including Build a City, Unlock an Uberhood and Medieval Charter Challenges. I wanted a BACC but felt it was too business focussed and didn't like the ignorance for the build mode or career tracks, and wanted a tiering style of challenge to move through and goals to work towards like the Unlock an Uberhood Challenge, so I made my own one up
I have made it so you can start it from scratch with creating your own custom hood, or download my premade one 'Gyoh Plains' which is set up ready for the challenge. Here is a link to my blogpost about it, and you can find a link to Sim File Share with the hood to download in there. https://insertthesims.blogspot.com/2024/11/grow-your-own-hood-challenge.html
In this expanse, even the greatest things bloom from a small seed once planted. From Farmer to Politicians, everyone is here with one reason in mind to "Grow Your Own Hood".

welcome to my new adventure! i absolutely love and adore rotational gameplay, and nothing can compare to the sims 2 but (and as much as it pains me to admit it) it's just a little too tired for my liking so i've developed my own "challenge" as it were.
how will it work? we all know that the sims 4 isn't a traditional build a city environment so the way it will work is that i will clear out all of the existing buildings in every neighbourhood. i will delete every townie (as far as i'm aware there isn't a way to disable it completely so it may just be trial and error) and start in newcrest. the idea will be using my random events (ros) to decide the theme of the round and decide on a long term goal.
seasonal events and long term goals a seasonal event is standard, either a goal or an activity that has to be completed that round. it can be fun, or can alter the course of the round! long term goals are required to progress the world. unlocking a new neighbourhood will require the completion of the long term goal which will be in play for the entire year. edit: a new neighbourhood will be unlocked at the end of each year
random everything to create a sim i'll be using a randomiser because otherwise i tend to just create the same thing over and over again. i won't take every single tiny thing from that as it's a little toooooo detailed but it's a good start point. new neighbours will be joining based on my own decisions, it's nothing too serious.
overall it's just rotational gameplay with a little something extra to work towards but it's mainly to get my love back into the game as i've honestly fallen out of love with the sims - and i want so desperately to get it back. join me on this adventure and let's just have some fun again!

Introduction:
Hi everyone! I decided to take it upon myself to make a sims 3 BACC that I felt satisfied with the rules and restrictions and done similar to BACCs that I've seen done for the sims 2 and 4. This is a living tumblr post and will continuously be updated as I play the challenge myself and see what fits for each restriction I have set. I am very much open to any feedback/opinions on anything regarding this challenge since I want it to be enjoyable to the simblr community and for those who have played the sims 2 BACC and were missing it for the sims 3. This challenge has mods in mind but if anyone would like, I am open to adjusting rules for a non-modded gameplay if needed.
Credit goes to these simmers for giving me inspiration for this challenge, viewing their own challenges and rules helped shape what I personally would like for a sims 3 BACC seeing as I have played some of these challenges myself: @melsie-sims2(Sims 2 BACC), Original Sims 2 BACC, @ts4-bacc(Sims 4 BACC), and finally the Nothing is Free Challenge on MTS by Avalikia
Table of Contents:

Additional Notes
-Last updated: 5/2/2024
Rules:
1. This challenge is meant to be played rotationally and every sim must be played. That also means that the households must be played the same amount of days to keep aging consistent across each household. Aging is also up to you. 2. Mods are recommended especially for having an easier way to do businesses, Ani’s Merchant mod is a great place to start. If desired I can provide alternate rules & restrictions for no mods gameplay. 3. Services may not be used until you’ve unlocked them, a smoke alarm isn’t allowed until you’ve unlocked the first position for the Firefighter career and the burglar alarm isn’t allowed until a branch has been unlocked in the Law Enforcement career. 4. Sims can own rabbit-hole lots and that can count towards a business, provided the sim has money for it. Though they can’t own a rabbit-hole and a sim-owned business at the same time, it has to be one or the other. 5. Skill-building items aren’t allowed to start off with until your sims earn the simoleons for it. 6. Sims aren’t allowed cars until there’s a car business in the town. Taxis aren’t allowed either until there’s a City Hall established. 7. Electricity isn’t unlocked until a sim has maxed the handiness skill. From there, one computer is allowed per household until an electronics business has been established. 8. When a computer has been unlocked, there are limitations to the build/buy category until the Architect career or a Furniture store has been established or that specific object has a business/rabbit-hole for it, like pet items needing a pet store or no bookshelf until there’s a bookstore, etc. Each household is only allowed to buy 2 items per rotation. However, it’s up to you how realistic and difficult you want your gameplay to be. 9. Boarding schools aren’t allowed until level 5 of the Education career has been unlocked. 10. Sims are allowed to sell items from their inventory. Rocks, gems, and metals can’t be sold in their inventory until the first two positions of the science career have been unlocked. 11. Custom careers are allowed, it's up to you how you want those restrictions set.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Starting Out:
You must start in an empty world or bulldoze the lots in a world. You’re only allowed residential homes for your sim and a small park as a free starting Community lot. You are free to start with a singular sim or roll a die and start with however many sims you roll and divide them into households or one singular household. There are different ways to start out your sim/sims:
Start your sims with an empty lot and no simoleons
Start them with 10,000 simoleons to build small homes for them or you may start them with already built houses with the bare necessities and no skill building objects:
A fridge, counters, and a stove
Enough beds for all the sims
A couch and small table
A toilet, sink, and shower/tub
After a home has been established, set the household simoleons down to 100 to get started.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Unlocking Restrictions:
Each unlock, only gets 1 position open in a career. To keep advancing in a career and unlock all the positions, multiple sims need to max out the specific skill required for a career. Though there are different requirements for each career.
A few of the careers have different requirements for their branches, you may use the previous sims that had unlocked the earlier positions of the careers to unlock the next positions in the branches or use new sims to unlock the different branch positions depending on the requirement. This is the only exception to the previous rule.
Self-employed careers have different restrictions, those careers are unlocked fully when the requirements have been met. Active careers have the same requirements as Full-time careers.

Each time a Community lot is unlocked: +1 sim

Each time you reach a multiple of 5 maxed out skills: +1 sim
Every multiple of 10 households: +3 sims
Have 10 sim-owned businesses: +4 sims

Other ways to grow your households:
Having babies the traditional way
Moving in an NPC service sim once you have it unlocked
Moving in a sim from a World Adventures world once you have it unlocked
Using the imaginary friend and turning it real
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
University:
To unlock University for your town, completely unlock the Education career and have at least 25 sims earn an A and get on the honor roll for both their child and teenage state. Additionally, you must collect taxes to unlock University. University costs 1,000,000 simoleons to unlock. The careers that come with University will be unlocked once the University also gets unlocked.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Travel:
For sims to be able to travel, you must collect 500,000 in taxes to unlock travel, unlock 7 services, and have at least 15 households. After traveling has been unlocked, your sims are free to travel anywhere without any further restrictions.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Taxes:
Taxes aren’t established until you have a City Hall in your town and a sim is in the Political career. Taxes will help contribute costs to unlocking the University and Travel for your town. You are also free to use mods to help with taxes as well and set them to your liking. Sims must get taxed on the last day of their household being played in a rotation. Sims that have 100 simoleons or lower are exempt from paying taxes.
Taxing households:
10% for regular households(households that don’t have any sims owning a business or rabbit-hole)
12% if sims in a household own a sim-owned business/rabbit-hole
15% for rich households
Taxing benefits:
If a household has only unemployed sims, they are given 130 simoleons
Single sims with children are given 150 simoleons
Parents with only toddlers are given 150 simoleons
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Additional Notes:
I didn't set Into the Future restrictions since I personally don't send my sims into the future, so it's up to the player on how they want to set restrictions on that.
There's no proper/formal goal for this challenge compared to other BACC challenges. The only main goal is unlocking everything and there's no population multiplier besides the sim CAS points.
This challenge isn't meant to be hard or super difficult besides it being a long challenge. Your game is your game and you're allowed to change things to your liking to make it easy and fun for you to play. Like previously stated I am open to changing things to make them more fun and feedback is always appreciated!

"The Ice cream flavors legacy challenge"
Its been A WHILE since i write down a legacy challenge, but that doesn't mean that i don't want to write more! I just can't figure out ideas for legacies...and then i had this idea!
General rules:
You can choose the lifespan of your choice or change it with MCCM
Sims can look whatever you want but they MUST reflect their personality
Heir sims MUST represent their flavor color(s) in their clothes, hair AND house, but they can have natural skintones (like NSB)
You can't use cheats, mods and/or Cc ONLY for an unfair advantage unless for storytelling
Sims who aren't heirs can have random or selected traits
Requiered* packs:
(*Of course, you can change this to fit your packs)
EP: Cottage Living (gen 1), Horse ranch (gen 2), Cats and dogs (gen 3), Discover university (gen 4), Be famous (gen 5 and 7), for rent (gen 8 and 9) Get to work (gen 9) and Eco living (gen 1 and 10)
GP: Parenthood (gen 4) and vampires (gen 9)
Gen 1;Strawberry:

This is the first time I try a build a city challenge. I have read and watched a lot of this challenge journeys throughout many other players youtube channels, tumblrs and livejournals and was dying to try it. Now I finally gathered the energy to do it and I'm treating it as a bit of a creative outlet during my spare time. I created the terrain on sc4 and pookleted the settlers. I will also try to build everything, so let's see for how long I can keep this up lol. The set of rules I'll be using is a mix of Didly's, Katatty's, DeeDee's and MarmitePrinter's, in other words, a big mess of rules copied and pasted into a Word document. But all in a very loose way and always open to tweaking, so it's fun and makes sense to me. Also, English isn't my first language so please forgive any mishaps :)
All the way across from SimNation, far from the big city and between rocky green mountains, an old abandoned village which sprung many many years ago at the margins of a wide river that flows into the sea gets its train reactivated... now, sims can discover a beautiful land surrounded by forests and beaches and its neighboring island. Who will be brave enough to explore this far away land and turn it into a gorgeous thriving town?
A few things about how i play my game and some tweaks I've made to the rules:
1. My lifespan consists of each 1.5 sim days = 1 year (except for college, which is 2 sim days = 1 term, but I doubt I'll be playing college anytime soon), so it is long but I like to take things slow and love to play teens and children but do not like when their parents age unrealistically soon so this was the best solution for me.
2. My seasons last 7 days and I play rotations of 4 then 3 days, so its monday through thursday then friday through sunday.
3. I didn't like the "you can only sell stuff you craft because there's no way to stuff to get to the town" rule because the starting point of Moon River Island will be precisely the reactivation of a train line. Therefore I decided that the train arrives in the city once a week and that will be the frequency that the stores in the city that sells non-craftable items will be able to restock their items. Also, the type of items sold in the beginning rounds will be, like, "essentials", such as personal hygiene stuff, processed food, cleaning supplies and, during the first gameplay I figured that it'll sell hobby objects as well since they're kind of essential in a gameplay matter and it's just fun to have a Sim go out and shop for hobby supplies like I like to do in real life. I also decided to extend this rule to how many times a week residents can purchase items from the catalog and that's it, makes sense to me. Once downtown is unlocked this rule will be lifted.
4. I will try to use Beth's tax system that she shared on her discord server, but it is a bit complex so maybe I'll change it along the way. Already gave up lol I'm using the 10% over the household funds method. Might make it a little bit more complex in the future.
I guess that's it. Good luck to me :)

Welcome to my tumblr!
What is my build a city project in the Sims 3?
For this project, I will be creating a new town/city from the ground up over a period of time, updating the world according to the needs of the residents using both in-game tools and CAW. For example, the world, as it stands right now, is completely free of civilisation and will be developed accordingly.
Currently, there are no roads, so travel is solely by foot or by horse. As time goes on and families grow and immigrate, I will add a path network that will eventually become a road network.
Aesthetically, I also plan on changing building architecture and sim fashion according to different time periods. Right now, I imagine my game as occurring sometime in the late 19th century. However, I'm limited mostly to the EA content I have in game. I don't want to put in a whole bunch of CC that could affect my game's performance. This means that some styles may not be accurate or coherent.
Some things to note about the gameplay:
1. To start, I will try and make it as integrated as possible, where the economy is as self-contained as it can be. This means that sims earn money through gathering and selling resources. Though, careers will be unlocked eventually where I see fit.
2. The world will start out with a population of four families; the produce farmers, the hunters, the livestock farmers and a wealthy family that will collect and sell valuables to an outside economy purely to pump money into Majestic Valley's economy. New families will be added over time and will have some sort of specialisation e.g. inventors and entertainers.
3. Rabbit holes will make an appearance later down the line where they're needed or where I feel they will enhance the experience of the town e.g. unlocking electricity for the town with the science lab.
P.s. while I've used the bacc tag, this isn't necessarily a challenge. I'm not following set rules or anything.

Starting this challenge will be a bit more like a Build a City Challenge than like a Decades challenge. First, you will need to either start with a blank save, or actively bulldoze all the lots and delete all of the sims in the save (unless you plan to use them in your households). The only exceptions are destination worlds, such as Granite Falls or Selvadorada, but since this is a Decades challenge, you still might want to change the buildings to fit the decade you’re in when you visit them.
Once your world is empty, you need to figure out what world you’ll want to live in. Yes, you could make your sims first, but knowing what world you start in might influence the sims you decide to make. For example, if you start in Mt. Komorebi, you might want to dress them in traditional Japanese garb. Not all worlds will be available at the beginning, and I will get into this a bit more later, but the only worlds available to start out in from the very beginning (1600) are:
Brindleton Bay
Glimmerbrook
Granite Falls (if you have the All Worlds are Residential mod)
Henford-on-Bagley
Mt. Komorebi
Newcrest
Oasis Springs
Tartosa
Willow Creek
Windenburg
Chestnut Ridge
Now, you might be wondering why I chose the worlds I did. It’s because they’re the most realistic for the decade that I have chosen the challenge to start in - ordinarily for the BACC, you would need to unlock spellcasters to unlock Glimmerbrook, but I feel it would be unfair to keep it locked when it’s such a perfect spot for decades gameplay, especially if players do not want to have spellcasters in their decades game. You will be able to unlock the other worlds later, but most of them will require a certain period of time to pass first.
Once you know where you’re starting, you need to make your sims! This is going to be fun!
Unlike the regular BACC where you decide the exact number of starting sims with a dice roll, the BTDC will determine the number of starting households with a dice roll, as well as the number of sims in each household, and the wealth/type of household. Seems like a lot, I know, but it’ll be worth it, I promise. You will never get the same start twice with a system like this!
You will start off with 1 household already, and that household will be wealthy by default because they will be the mayoral household. The patriarch of this household will be the mayor of your town. But now you need to decide how many other households will be joining the mayor on this adventure, and that is when you will need to roll a 6 sided die. Whatever number it lands on is how many side households you will start out with.
For example: If you roll a 3, that means you will start out with 4 total households.
Next, you will roll for the amount of sims and type of household. This will require a 10 sided die. If you roll an option for the mayoral household that doesn’t make sense, you may freely roll again until you get an option that does make sense. However, for the rest of the households, you may only roll once. If you get an option you dislike, you will have the opportunity to turn your luck around later just by playing the household.
Single sim
Married couple
Two siblings
Single parent & a child
Single parent & 2 children
Two parents & a child
Two parents & two children
Grandparent, parents, & 1 child
Elderly parents & married couple
Orphanage with 1 matron and 3 unrelated children
Now, these starting sims can be of any age - if you roll for an orphanage with 3 children, that doesn’t mean they all need to be of child age. The only ones that must be a certain age are the elderly parents and the grandparents - they must at least be adults, although elders would make the most sense.
The next decision that needs to be made is the wealth//status of each household. This will only require a 4 sided die. Once you have your number of households and the size of each, you will roll to find out their status - the only exception is the mayoral household, because they are a naturally wealthy noble house.
Destitute (think extreme rags to riches)
Poor/peasant
Average/middle class
Wealthy/upper class/nobility
And with that, you should have your households all planned out. If you feel like you didn’t do it correctly, I will put an example of what I rolled under here so you know what to look for:
Mayoral Household + 6 households (rolled a 6) Mayoral household: Wealthy, two parents and a child (rolled a 6) Second household: Single poor sim (rolled a 1 on the d10 and a 2 on the d4) Third household: Single destitute sim (rolled a 1 on d10 and a 1 on d4) Fourth household: Poor single parent and child (rolled a 4 on d10 and a 2 on d4) Fifth household: Two wealthy/noble siblings (rolled a 3 on d10 and a 4 on d4) Sixth household: Middle class grandparent, parents, & child (rolled a 8 on d10 and a 3 on d4) Seventh household: Poor parents with two children (rolled a 7 on d10 and a 2 on d4)

Sims 2 BACC Rules (Maplewood 2 Edition)
Hi :) I'm not the best with explaining things, so apologies in advance if parts of these rules are jumbled around, but I wanted to have one specific rule set to link people to while I’m streaming the Build a City Challenge. I basically took rule sets from a bunch of other players and then tailored it to fit my personal gameplay preferences. Credits to: Katatty, Kahlena's sims, deedee-sims, PleasantSims and Didily's Sims.
The basic goal of this challenge is to start an empty hood with a bunch of settlers and have them work together to build the town from the ground up. Careers and promotions are limited and the buy catalog is (mostly) off limits. Example: if your sim needs a fire alarm, they will need to purchase one from the Fire Station. Need an easel? Better have a sim open an arts and crafts store! This goes on and on and over time, as your sims open more businesses, you create and move more sims into the hood. You may choose to use the Monique Hacked Computers to allow your sims to take out a loan to open their business.
My end goals are to just grow the population as much as I can, try to unlock every career and subhood, and have fun! I don't use a points system and I keep the tax collecting simplified because I get easily overwhelmed and hate math (lol), but if you want to add the extra challenge, you are free to do so.
Keep reading for LOTS of info, rules, ideas, and mod suggestions :)
Start with creating a new custom hood completely empty of any townies (I actually didn't do this for Maplewood 2 because I didn't know how to at the time and didn't feel like starting over...Oops). It's not a huge game-breaking mistake, in my opinion, but if you really want your neighborhood to be devoid of ANY townies and only want the Sims you make yourself to appear, then I would suggest looking into this tutorial on Creating a Clean Neighborhood and downloading the No Townie Regen hack (The link will take you to an overwhelmingly long list, but it's alphabetical so just scroll down until you find NoTownieRegen.zip).
If you're like me and don't really care if randos show up in your game, then ignore all of that. The worst thing that will happen is a bunch of townies will be wandering around the hood, which sort of breaks the immersion that you're only playing a few pioneers on an empty land. I just ignore the game-generated Sims and made my own eligible townies in CAS. Also be sure not to add any Vacation, Downtown, University, or Business subhoods to the town - these will be unlocked down the road!
ROTATIONS Since this challenge revolves around rotational play, you will play each household for a total of one season before moving onto the next household. I like for my seasonal order to be: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter. You can choose whichever order you like, but make sure you play each household for the same amount of days. To make this easier for me to keep track of, I use a mod that allows you to change how many days are in a season. I personally set this so that a season is 7 days long, the length of a full week. This way, when I start to play a household on Monday, I will know that the following Monday will be time to move on to the next household in the rotation and the new season will begin at the start of the next round. (For some reason, the idea of ending a rotation in the middle of another season confuses me.) You can get the Seasons and Weather Controller here.
I also recommend getting the Day Setter, just in case your days get messed up somehow and you need to change them. Mainly just a precautionary mod.
TAX SYSTEM Some players do the tax system differently with points or percentages. I personally prefer this simpler method of dividing households into separate tiers based on which class they fall into according to their family funds (determined by what their net worth is from the neighborhood view). I got these rules from Katatty:
Upper Class (net worth $100,000+)
Middle Class (net worth $50,000-$99,000)
Lower Class (net worth $25,000-$49,000)
Poverty (net worth below $25,000)
Each tier earns the city tax per week based on the number of sims in that household:
Upper Class: $1,000/Sim
Middle Class: $500/Sim
Lower Class: $250/Sim
Poverty: $100/Sim
Taxes are paid on the last day of the played week to the Mayor, who manages the town’s funds. I use the money order mod to directly send the money between households. I play my Mayor household first in the rotations.
POPULATION Like I mentioned before, I’m not really good at keeping up with an elaborate points system to keep track of the population. Instead, my rules for adding more sims to the town will be:
Every new community lot: 1 Townie (5 community lots = 5 Townies wandering the hood as potential partners for your founders)
Every 5 businesses opened: 1 New CAS Sim (15 businesses = 3 NEW CAS Sims that will be playable households added to the rotation)
A sim reaches the top of a career track: 2 Townies
A Subhood Connection is unlocked: 5 Townies + 1 New CAS Sim
Keep in mind, these rules might be changed or tweaked over time as I get into my BACC and see what works!
I’m going to break my rules up into separate posts because otherwise, it’s ridiculously long, so click whichever section you would like to read about! I tried my best to include links to the mods I use to hopefully make it easier to follow. I will also be adding things over time, so check back for that :)

Aridia BACC Rules
Hi! I'm Alex, a long-time TS2 player who recently found out about the Build a City Challenge after I stumbled across @ts2windyvalley's blog. I highly recommend checking her out!!
Anyways, that being said, I'm drawing upon her ruleset, only deviating to fit my own personal playstyle.
These will likely be tweaked as I continue to play with Aridia, finding out what works best and what doesn't as well as letting the sims' stories guide the way. Essentially, these will be updated as time goes on.
Rules lie beneath the cut.
The Beginning
I will be starting out with 12 sims all of which will be played rotationally. Side note: townies and service sims are allowed in the hood but will not be allowed to become playable through marriage or moving in. All households start with the original 20,000 and upon moving in, I will roll a 10-sided die to determine how many additional simoleons will be added to their funds (1,000-10,000). With this new balance to work with, I will then build the initial houses and include the following in their homes:
a phone
a refrigerator, stove, and necessary countertops
a toilet, sink, and shower/bathtub
bed(s)
a couch, bookcase, and 1-2 hobby items
The build/buy catalog will then be closed until further progress has been made in the challenge (as described below).
Careers
The number of positions within a given career will be maxed out at 7.
Adventure: An initial position opens up once a sim-owned museum is established. Every 2 treasure chests discovered, a new position is unlocked. Architecture: A new position opens up every 5 established business lots. Artist: A position opens up every time a sim maxes the creativity skill or maxes enthusiasm in arts & crafts. Athletic: An initial position opens up after a sports-themed community lot is built. A new position opens up every time the body skill is maxed by a sim. Business: A new position opens up every time a sim-owned business reaches rank 5. Criminal: A new position opens up every 3rd burglary or 3rd charlatan pickpocket. Culinary: A position opens up for every sim-owned food-related business lot in the 'hood. Dance: A position opens up once a sim-owned dance studio or nightclub reaches rank 5. Subsequent positions open up every time a sim maxes enthusiasm in music & dance. Education: A position opens up every 6th child born in the 'hood. Entertainment: A position is unlocked every time a sim maxes the charisma skill. Gamer: A position is unlocked every time a sim maxes enthusiasm in games. Intelligence: A position opens up every time a sim reaches level 7+ in the Military, Criminal, or Science career. Journalism: A new position opens up every time a sim maxes enthusiasm in film & literature. Law: A new position opens up for every even numbered position opened up in the Law Enforcement career. Law Enforcement: A position opens up with every even number of Criminal positions open. Medicine: A position opens up once 5 sims have gotten an illness, subsequent positions open for every increment of 10 within the population. Military: The initial position opens up once a sim maxes enthusiasm in both fitness and science--a new position opens every time a sim reaches level 5 in the career. Music: The initial position opens up once a sim-owned music store has been established in the 'hood--a new position opens every time a sim maxes enthusiasm in music & dance. Natural Science: A position opens every time a sim earns a gold gardening badge. Oceanography: A position opens up every time a sim earns a gold fishing badge. Paranormal: The initial position opens once there is a community cemetery lot with at least two graves--a new position opens every 5 graves. Politics: The initial position is available at the start of the 'hood, this is the mayor. Once the mayor dies, a new sim is able to take over the position. Science: The initial position is unlocked after a sim maxes out both the logic skill and enthusiasm in science. A new position is unlocked after a sim maxes out the logic skill. Slacker: A position opens for every 3 sim-owned businesses in the 'hood. Show Business: A position unlocks after a sim has reached level 7+ in the slacker or entertainment career.
Services
Adoption: 6 babies must be born in the 'hood. Butler: A fortune sim must complete their lifetime want. Exterminator: 2+ sims must get the flu from cockroaches. Gardener: A sim must achieve a gold gardening talent badge. Grocery Delivery: A grocery store must be established in the 'hood. Maid: A sim must max the cleaning skill. Matchmaking Service: A romance sim must complete their lifetime want. Nanny/Babysitter: The Education career must be unlocked. Obedience Trainer: A pet store must be established in the 'hood. Pet Adoption: A pet store must be established in the 'hood. Food Delivery: A restaurant must be established in the 'hood. Repairman: A sim must max enthusiasm in tinkering or max the mechanical skill.
Businesses and Community Lots
In the beginning, the 'hood will be empty save for the initial houses and a free park community lot. Businesses and lots will not be built prior to the first rotation.
As stated previously, the build/buy catalog will not be available on residential lots, but can be used on business/community lots. Build mode will be unlocked after the Architecture career has been unlocked and a sim has filled the position.
A sim can own as many businesses as they want provided they have the simoleons to run them.
Community lots can be built once enough tax money has been raised to fund the construction-- the creation of a single community lot per rotation is allowed. *An entire rotation will be 5 days--the length of an in-game season.
Simoleons & Taxes
Sims pay taxes starting with the first rotation--taxes are taken out at the very beginning of each rotation.
Taxes:
- 10% of household funds. - 12% of household funds if they are business owners. - 7% of household funds if they are strictly retired sims. - no taxes if the household has below 500 simoleons.
Aid:
- 100 simoleons/day for pregnant sims if it is tax day. - Unemployed sims recieve 100 simoleons on tax day if there are no other employed sims in the household.
Computers
Computers will become available to purchase once an electronics store opens up within the 'hood. After a household has purchased a computer, they will gain access to the buy catalog, however, a sim must pay an additional cost (0.5x the cost of the item purchased, e.g. if an item originally cost 300, the sim will have to pay an additional 150 for a total of 450). In addition, a type of item from the buy catalogue will have to be sold elsewhere in the 'hood before a sim can purchase it from the catalog.
Sub-Hoods
A new sub-hood will cost 350,000 simoleons in tax revenue from the 'hood. Before a sub-hood can be added, the Adventure career must be unlocked.
A university sub-hood becomes available to add once a sim maxes the education career and 350,000 simoleons from the 'hood's tax revenue is used to fund its establishment.
Other
Fire Alarms and burglar alarms are unlocked after 3 fires and 3 burglaries respectively and must be sold on a business lot.
Only two households can attempt to dig for treasure every rotation.
Money trees are only allowed for fortune sims or sims with nature as their one true hobby. There is no limit to how many can be owned.
Smart milk is available to unlock after both the science and education career have been unlocked.

This is my page for my Build A City Challenges.
I loosely follow these rules.
Hello, I am Kat, I have been doing simblrs almost four years now. I will have two different BACC's one is more casual while the other will require a little more work.
Warning: My stories and gameplay can have some violence, alcohol, and hints of NSFW for extreme or more adult scenes I will put them on a different site with a link in the post. It will have descriptions like spicy or tw blood or tw violence. I will try to have warnings for the posts that can need them.
Build A City Challenges
Riversthrow BACC
Riversthrow BACC - Beginning/Current
This is a more casual play though and I follow more of the rules. It starts in Brindleton Bay.
River Valley BACC
River Valley BACC - Beginning/Current
It starts in Henford on Bagley because there are 18 sims starting out the base camp is a residential rental. I will also be changing the unlocking of electricity to need 2 sims with max level handiness and 2 sims with level 5 of fabrication. I will be leaving simply living lot challenge on all residential lots through out all worlds.

Simblr Ask Game by Amelie
Original Post Here
Yes I know it's an ask game but these are fun to answer lmao
_____________________________________________
🌸 What's your earliest memory of playing the sims?
My earliest memory is playing Sims 3 and visiting the future. I know that’s not actually my earliest experience, but my memory is very bad and this is the earliest I can remember. I definitely remember going outside the city and collecting parts(?) to unlock some spaceship or underground bunker. I forget.
💫 How did you discover the sims franchise?
I honestly have no idea lol Maybe just seeing it in the store and it seemed fun?
🍇 What was your first sims game?
Again, poor memory here lol I think I may have started with the Sims 3 base game?
🍦 How long have you been playing the sims?
Many many years lol Pretty sure I’ve been playing since the Sims 3 came out at the very least. So… about 15 years?
🧋 What is your favorite sims series? (sims 3, 2 etc.)
Sims 4 c: I actually hated this game when it first came out because it was so different from 3. I remember saying I would never get into 4 and would never stop playing 3 yet here I am.
🤍 Do you have a favorite sim created by you?
I’m honestly terrible at creating sims so I don’t have many that I’m proud of or really like. I have to say, though, I adore Bryon Rainhawk <3
🧸 Favorite townie? (any sims game)
Kiyoshi, Caleb, Vlad, Night Wraith and Morgyn Ember are my favorites c: At least that I can think of right now~
🍨 Do you have a sim self? If yes, do you play with them?
Tiger Rain, the sim you see in my Super Sim challenge, is sort of like me. But again, I’m terrible at making sims and every time I asked if she looked like me, people always said no. Eventually, I gave up and just made her a mix of me and what I wish I looked like. And yes! As stated, she’s the main star of my Super Sim challenge and I often use her in other challenges/scenarios.
🫐 How often do you play the sims?
I try to play every day. However, I’ve got commitment issues! I’ll be obsessed with one thing for months, then that obsession will switch to something else. So, right now, I’m obsessed with the sims and that's all I’m doing. Eventually, I will move on to something else for a few months, then something else and eventually I’ll make it back to the sims lol
🌱 Do/Can you relate to any of your sims?
I’m pretty boring, honestly. Though I do tend to make them similar to me in some ways, they live far more interesting and better lives than I do, even through all the torture haha
🐬 Favorite sims challenge?
I’ve only finished one challenge as of the date I’m writing this. I’ve attempted many over the years, some a few times. I can’t really think of any that stand out above the rest. Maybe the Asylum challenge?
👜 What in-game career would you choose if you were a sim?
Writer and Paranormal Investigator!
🌷 Which traits would you have if you were a sim?
Creative, geek, loves outdoors, loner, socially awkward.
🍮 Favorite thing to do in the sims? (Could literally be anything!)
In the game itself? Hmm, that’s a tough one. I’m quite fond of collecting things and trying out small, forgotten features that I’ve never done before! There’s so much to do in this game with all the packs, most of it overlooked.
❄️ Favorite in-game season if you own The Sims 4 Seasons?
Fall/Autumn, 100%. There is nothing better than red and orange leaves floating on a chilly breeze. And don’t even get me started on Halloween!
❣️ Do you talk about the sims with any of your friends/family members in real life?
No :( Sadly I only have a few people to talk to about it. They’re online and I'm not technically friends with most of them so we don’t talk often. Mostly, I just scream my thoughts about the sims into the void or at my vice-cultleader Meg lol
✉️ How big is your mods folder?
Very small. I don’t mind mods, but I’m the type to prefer games as they were intended. I only use the MCCC mod, some eyes CC, a uniform CC and colorful berry skins CC. I have been thinking about adding a taco stand and a tennis court, though.
☘️ Do you have any other social media where you post sims related content?
I started posting my content on WordPress. I’m not really sure where else to post my stuff. I’ve asked around, but people usually just say tumblr.
📱 What made you want to start a simblr?
WordPress has a limit on images. Because I play so much and take so many screenshots, I have quickly arrived at nearly 60% media storage. I’ll have to pay to increase it, which I may do I don’t know yet, so I migrated to Tumblr. I have no plans of leaving but I would like to find another place where I can post my sims content (without having to pay extra.)
