since i’m just thinking about it i do think there is some merit to the “cersei vs her brothers” critique but i think it’s just a page time thing. i just deeply wish we had gotten cersei’s pov in asos, i get & even understand why people feel a little turned off by tyrion & jaime being more sympathetic but i think that feeling comes from us being in their minds for longer because it’s not like jaime isn’t doing villain shit in affc & tyrion quite literally rapes someone on page in adwd, but imo it’s simply bc we got more chapters in their heads on a longer timeline & it makes a person predisposed to see them as more typically heroic. i don’t need cersei to be more likeable i simply want more on page time with her.

#getting on my soap box #however i do think some of the ‘cersei is worse than her brothers’ stuff is like. people’s OWN issues coming thru that they are projecting.#i don’t mean this in a mean way but i do think some people who feel like she isn’t ‘right’ to kill robert but jaime is ‘right’ to kill aerys #simply do not view domestic violence w the severity it should be viewed with. yes cersei antagonizes robert.#but he is the one raping her. and this starts immediately from their wedding night. of course she antagonizes him.#obviously she has several motives. but like. so does jaime lol.
