my ocs' third year/graduated versions!

okay, so i made a post like that with avery, vance, merrill and allen some time ago, but as you know, I HAVE A LOT OF KIDS NOW and i wanted to make a new version of that post! also the way i see my first four characters have changed a little, so.. yeah.

i made them in picrew because even though i'd love to draw them myself, it would take quite a lot of time djdkkdd

avery glass.

avery gets along better with "beautiful people" now and he's also more confident and doesn't think he's that ugly himself. his hair is longer now too. he also doesn't think vil is that bad and he even kinda misses him now, considering that vil is a fourth year now and avery doesn't see him that often. he's still friends with epel though and it's not so lonely with him around. he also created his own gardening club here back when he just transferred to nrc and it's more popular now and some people don't even care if avery was a rsa student in the past. he feels more comfortable in this school now and he actually doesn't regret transferring at all. maybe he really does have those "prince charming" vibes, like other rsa students, but he would rather be friends with villains because they (or at least most of them) accept him for who he is. but allen also suggested that avery can work as his gardener after he graduates.. avery is not so sure about it for now and told allen that it sounds stupid, but he secretly doesn't think that it's a bad idea.

vance mintberry.

YES I AM GOING WITH THAT CONCEPT OF DORM LEADER!VANCE BECAUSE I LIKE IT. vance is not that chaotic and hyperactive as a third year and he's a lot more chill now and he even has his serious moments sometimes. he's definitely not as strict as riddle though and heartslabyul students are happy to have a dorm leader like him, who knows how to have fun, but also doesn't cause too much chaos. he says he doesn't like when other students refer to him as the dorm leader though and asks them to simply call him by his name instead. vance is also taller now (170 cm), however, when riley stands next to him, his growth spurt is not that noticeable and vance is a bit insecure about it dhdjdkdkfk. HE THOUGHT THEY WILL NEVER HAVE SUCH A HUGE HEIGHT DIFFERENCE! and even if they do vance wanted to be taller than riley he's still into gaming and skateboarding too and he even participated in magishift and some other sports competitions because he doesn't care what his family thinks anymore. some heartslabyul students say that vance secretly enjoys being the one in charge A LOT though..

merrill gardner.

yes i forgot his moles. it's fine he can survive without them i say that as someone who has a lot of moles on their face YES. VIL MANAGED TO CONVINCE HIM TO BECOME A MODEL. LET'S GO. it took a lot of time, but merrill agreed because vil told him that he can't let his talent go to waste just because he's still mad at his parents. yes, they were absolutely horrible people and merrill didn't deserve to be treated like this, but there's nothing wrong with him enjoying being the center of attention and being popular for his appearance (as long as he's okay with it). and merrill certainly appreciates being complimented for his other qualities, but he actually enjoys modeling a lot! he also does it out of spite because oh, his parents wanted to use his looks for money and fame? well guess what, they're not gonna get any money from him <3 he still checks on other nrc students though because he cares about them and because they're always so excited to see him again/for the first time.

and no, even though he's a professional model now, he's still into cosplay because it really does make him happy!! also imagine his fans and megu-chan's fans finding out that their idol is the same person. how funny would that be.

allen snowhill.

i think he would finally be free of lumi's magic's influence, so that's why he doesn't have white strands anymore! yes i have ideas how others would save him, but that's a story for a different post and he has long hair now!! he's thriving!! you can still often see him wearing rather warm clothes simply because he's too used to them and he would need a lot of time before he starts finding lighter clothes comfortable. his personality is also more similar to anna's now and even though he still shows his yandere self sometimes, he's more chill about it now. as long as someone loves him, he's gonna be fine <3 he's doing much better now, he's more supportive of lumi and miles' relationship and he also regrets the things he said to riley in the past, but he still doubts they'll be able to reconcile because riley himself doesn't want to do anything with him. he's okay as long as riley is happy though. he's also thinking of becoming a writer after he graduates.

roland thorn.

roland would go back to briar valley after he graduates from rsa, he's sure his parents have missed him a lot. they are quite surprised to see how much he changed, but it's a pleasant kind of surprise. roland would start living alone and he would have a nice little house with a nice little garden next to it :) he's still not so good at gardening, but. um. he's trying his best. taking care of those plants also reminds him to be kinder to himself and he definitely needs that reminder though he still hates having to deal with dirt and that kind of stuff he's not sure what he's gonna do in the future, since he has such a low self-esteem, he doubts there's anything he's good at. so yeah, he would like to focus on taking care of himself and learning to love himself right now. but he's also thinking.. maybe he should get a job that's related to fashion in some way? you know, since he's good at stuff like sewing and knitting and he also can do makeup for others he never wears makeup himself though too. maybe he should talk about it with that ramshackle prefect, he knows a lot about those things. also lilia visits him as often as he can and they have nice conversations together as they drink tea :)

also, a design note: roland would go back to wearing darker clothes after he graduates from rsa and he also would have bangs on the other side to cover his injured eye, even though he still wears an eyepatch. it's not like he doesn't like his eyepatch anymore! he just feels more comfortable with a hairstyle like this, haha. (it's actually him trying to move on from his trauma and telling himself that he's not just "a guy who had a toxic relationship with his gf and got his eye injured because of her")

fake!jay polley.

OH BOY. HE WOULD GET QUITE AN INTERESTING CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT IN THESE TWO YEARS. you see, being friends with allen didn't teach him anything good and jay ended up becoming a very self-centered individual who decided that if he's not real and he doesn't actually have a heart, oh well, he has to act heartless too. jay knows that he's smarter than his real counterpart, he knows he's much more talented than him and he knows that he owns real!jay's notebook, so.. he's the one who has his unique magic now. real!jay can't use it if he doesn't have his silly little notebook with him. so who's more real now, huh? and no, he's not his "evil clone", he's more interesting than jay, he's more popular than jay, he's actually his "better clone"! he's the literature club's president now too and he even has his own clique because rsa freshmen admire him that much! haha, his school life really is so fun, it's just like his creator wanted! and he wouldn't even be able to overblot no matter how often he uses his unique magic, because again, he's not real so he can't accumulate blot! he just becomes very tired after he uses his magic and he falls asleep right after he's done, so he will never overblot and that makes him the strongest magician in twisted wonderland! he will never overblot, right? right?.. he also may or may not become a yandere because of allen's influence. this guy is so used to getting what he wants because of his popularity and his unique magic, what do you mean his crush doesn't like him back?

real!jay polley.

real!jay, on the other hand, finally gets a character development that he deserves! he's still a bit shy, but he's more confident now, he looks so much better, seth really helped him get a whole glow up! he also starts wearing the uniform seth made for him back when jay just started living in ramshackle but refused to wear because "it wasn't comfortable" he actually thought he doesn't deserve to wear it and people are surprised to see how good he looks in it. his hair is also longer but he takes better care of it and it's not as messy as it was before. he sounds more polite than before and he has a more elegant vibe now, some people can't believe he was this anxious and insecure boy who refused to go outside and didn't know what grass is. he takes care of the ramshackle dorm building when seth and minnie are too busy and he doesn't find it tiring at all, he's glad to be useful to them. he also had a chance to transfer to a "real" dorm at some point, however, he decided to stay in ramshackle because he's too used to it and he doesn't think he's good enough for other dorms. the dark mirror thought of sending him to diasomnia though he's not sure about his future, but he kinda wants to stay at nrc, so.. maybe he could work here as a staff member? he still needs some time to think about it. and no, jay doesn't know anything about what his clone is doing and he believes fake!jay is living his best life.

austin valiente.

yes, he's wearing glasses now, because that's what happens when you spend so much time working with tiny details and staying up to come up with a new invention or fix someone's broken phone. if anyone makes fun of his new look, he will punch them. he also makes jokes about having to wear glasses instead of merrill since he's a fourth year now and people almost never see him it's him trying to cope he misses him okay. austin has thought about going back home, but.. he's not ready. he wants to stay in twisted wonderland for just a little bit longer. he misses his family a lot and he's sure they're very worried about him, but he's scared. he still doesn't know if he wants to get a technology-related job just like they wanted or he wants to do what he likes and try to do something more artistic. and he's also scared that they're gonna be mad at him and they're not gonna believe him when he tells them where he's been all this time. he really wishes he could talk to someone about his problems, but he rarely sees those people now and it doesn't feel right to talk about it on the phone. and about his personality, he's a bit calmer now. he still likes to bully others and laugh at them, but he knows when to stop and he's not that serious about it. some people even think he's more like merrill now, because sometimes him teasing them can make them go 😳😳. he doesn't understand why they react like that though.

minnie lynley.

she's doing so much better now! she's much more friendly with male students now, though she can still be strict with them sometimes, but she's doing it because she cares about them :) she's very popular and she has so many simps, but sadly, they don't have a chance with her because she and sebek are officially dating! MALLEUS IS NO LONGER A NRC STUDENT SHE SAW THAT CHANCE AND SHE TOOK IT. HE CAN'T TAKE SEBEK AWAY FROM HER. her personality is a bit different too now, she's more of an onee-san type now. and yes, she can be that soft and caring onee-san AND the one that goes "ara ara~" and makes you go get a wedding ring because you're this down bad for her. she also became seth's vice prefect when she was a second year and she still is one, though she likes to joke about her being the real prefect. she doesn't mind being seth's sidekick though, she actually admires him a lot and she's grateful to him for helping her get used to this place and overcome her trust issues and daddy issues. she really wanted to go back home when she just got isekai-ed here, but now.. she's actually okay with staying in twisted wonderland? she doesn't miss anyone from her world except her mom and she really does worry about her a lot, but she's not sure if she wants to go back home just for her sake, because.. if she does, she's sure that she will end up doing all the work again and her brother won't try to help in any way. minnie loves her mom, she really does, but she's not ready to see her again.

hayden dahl.

another character who changed his appearance in some way! hayden dyed his hair so that he won't look too similar to his family members and he actually feels much more comfortable with this hair color. riley's parents pretty much adopt him because they're so happy to see that riley has such a good friend, they don't care about hayden's past at all. so now he's living with them and riley even calls hayden his big brother and that makes hayden tear up a little bit every single time. he just.. he always wanted to have a little brother, he was so tired of being the youngest child.. and don't let that cool villain-like outfit fool you, he really doesn't try to act nice to make others trust him anymore and his words are more painful now, but he also shows his poor little meow meow side much more often. yes, he likes horses. yes, he has a huge sweet tooth and the moment someone mentions desserts, he forgets about everything else. yes, he has a soft spot for riley and he will fight anyone who hurts him you heard that vance. treat this boy right he really is much happier now because his family's crimes are known and they finally got what they deserved. he doesn't have to worry about them finding him anymore. ah, what he plans to do in the future? when seth asked him that, hayden was too busy eating cake, but seth noticed a book about insects in his bag, pointed at it and went "ah, maybe something with these little guys?". hayden almost choked on his food. so.. yeah, he kinda wants to get into entomology but don't tell anyone. ALSO HE HAS HIS OWN HORSE NOW BECAUSE RILEY'S PARENTS ARE RICH AND THEY ALLOWED HIM TO HAVE ONE. HE'S LIVING HIS BEST LIFE.

riley glacier.

so. here's a reminder that allen and riley are related. and as you know, allen is very tall. SO RILEY IS THE SAME HEIGHT AS HIM NOW. YEAH. maybe even kinda buff who knows riley doesn't seem like that character who changed a lot in these few years, but those who are close to him know that he's a whole different person now. he still does act like his kuudere self, but only with those people he doesn't know that well. his friends know that riley can be much more talkative with them and he really does have a lot to say, even if it's just him ranking scented soaps he ranks them by flavor btw. not by scent. he's still popular, in fact, he's even more popular now, but he doesn't mind it that much anymore. he's not trying to avoid his fans, but he's also not too friendly with them, he just says something like "hey, i appreciate your support, but i'm a bit busy right now, so can we hang out later?". he doesn't want to be mean, but he also wants them to respect his personal space. his simps are not as desperate as before anyway, because the fact that he's dating the heartslabyul's dorm leader makes them go "OH. OH OKAY MAYBE I SHOULDN'T FLIRT WITH HIM". about his relationship with allen.. yes, he still doesn't want to talk to him after that overblot incident. but honestly, riley thinks it's better this way, he doesn't want to become obsessed with making allen like him again. he's just glad that allen is doing much better now and he hopes his cousin will find his true happiness one day. so yeah, he's doing good :) he's not sure about his future job and when he was asked about it, he just said "as long as it's interesting, i'm good with anything".

ashley "angel" leroll.

YES THIS IS ANGEL. YEAH. they decided that they want to look more masculine now and they also wanted to have a more "responsible dorm leader" look. it's their redemption arc and they really are trying to take better care of their dorm members and they know when to stop and when those students can do something without their help. they also try to treat bunny better and they don't let her overwork herself, even though bunny doesn't call angel her friend anymore. OH and speaking of their name, they actually prefer to go by their real name now. they just don't feel like they deserve to have a nickname like that after everything they've done. they try to stay optimistic though and they believe that they can become a better person and maybe, maybe one day they will become worthy of that nickname. they also hope that their brother will forgive them for what they've done to him, but they will understand if he doesn't. hm? what they want to do in the future? uh.. being a scientist sounds fun! haha, didn't expect that one, did you? and don't worry sol they still use kaomojis when they talk even though they don't do it as often

blythe "bunny" whitney.

pretend that she has bunny ears here okay she can finally be herself now! she doesn't try to be polite, she speaks her mind and she's strict, just like minnie, but not because she loves other dorm members, she just wants them to behave for once. she can't transfer to a different dorm, so she decided that if she has to stay in speculum, they will have to listen to her and follow the rules <3 sometimes she can be.. um, a bit cruel, but at least other rsa students don't have to run away whenever they see speculum dorm members. they're still chaotic, but the moment bunny looks at them, they go "YES VICE DORM LEADER". she's not friends with angel anymore and their relationship is more professional now, but she doesn't feel sad about it at all. she feels more free now, like she's finally done something that she should've done a long time ago. and yes, people call her by her real name now. no one is allowed to use that nickname anymore.. well, except hayden. but only when she's in a good mood. and maybe fake!jay can call her that too, hehe.. what, why are you looking at her like that? but she's jealous of angel already knowing what they want to do in the future, because she's still not sure about her plans. how weird, bunny always was the one to have a plan for everything and she was more organized compared to angel..

seth delaney.

okay so, i have never mentioned this before, but seth's vision is actually not that good and he has to wear glasses when he's painting, sewing, drawing, etc. and even though seth has a pretty high self-esteem, he's very insecure about that part and he thinks he looks like a nerd when he wears them. so yes, he's actually kinda blind most of the time hjdjdkdkd. but hey, that's still impressive, considering that he can easily guess anyone's measurements and he can tell what colors would suit someone even when he's not wearing his glasses. and third year!seth would start wearing glasses all the time mostly bc rollo was worried about him and made him do it and he also would stop dyeing his hair blond, but he would still keep the purple tips. his hair is longer now too, he's just trying to accept his past and stop running away from it! don't worry, he has even more piercings and tattoos now though. seth definitely would want to spend the rest of his life in twisted wonderland, he has no reason to come back to his world. didn't the dark mirror say that "he has no home to go back to" or something like that? that's why he wants to make twisted wonderland his real home. and it feels like one, even though it has its flaws and it's not as perfect as he thought it would be. he is still the ramshackle prefect, though nrc students don't see him as often as they did when he was a first year because of him still liking rsa and nbc more. and no, even though he really wanted to change schools, he loves ramshackle dorm too much and he can't leave his dorm members! um.. his future? well, he just wants to live a peaceful life with those he loves. that's it for now.

[ i have actually mused about it and wrote about it with my friend!

it doesn't go too bad at all, honestly, like a stubbornly refusing to marry older daughter - cain's family wants to see him wed, regardless of his marriages during his human life where all of his bloodline got wiped out, they want to see him settle down again.

everyone in their own way ...

eve was most supportive and happy meeting leviathan who came to see her with cain's permission, but without knowing why levi was so eager to meet the mother of humanity, complimenting levi's stature and cooing over how safe and warm her sweet and gentle boy must feel in those arms of levi's.

levi leaves with not only her full approval to court her son, but a blessing for a marriage too, which leviathan needed 3-5 business days to recover from.

adam and cain's older half-sister (my friend's oc - evangeline, daughter of adam and lilith) on the other hand, were ruthless.

both care about the redhead in their own ways, for adam it's complicated with the entire history back on earth, for evangeline it's utter overprotectiveness after acquiring a little brother.

they kept mercilessly bullying leviathan and trying to make him stutter about his intentions with cain, not believing a primordial sin such as himself had anything pure or kind in mind for cain - but they were pleasantly wrong, and kind of grossed out to find out just how much of a simp he is for cain.

abel honestly doesn't care, as long as leviathan doesn't end up hogging cain all to himself.

as long as abel was still able to see cain once a human year up in heaven during his heavenly stroll, he didn't really mind. even thought the concept of two men is still not all that understandable to him, especially when it's a sinner and a sin.

seth is supportive too, he didn't get to know cain too much but from what he did manage to find out about him (from the source of course) - he likes, and he likes the way cain talks about leviathan whenever cain decides to volunteer at least a few words, so levi has his approval too. ]

My intend was never to invalidade anyones personal expierence and it never will be.

You are a hypocrite if you post nsfw on your blog but then whine about people simping for it. Not everybody will read your blog rules against such behaviour if they only see your post as a part of their feed. If you don't want people to interact with you and your post in a certain way, don't act like this certain way on your blog yourself and be pissy when people get confused.

You are not entitled to police what other people come up with. This is a very fanon heavy community. Of course people will make up their own stuff. You yourself made your oc up and I promise you it was not an super original thought. Predator came out in 1987 , do you honestly think in over 36 years nobody came up with an aquatic yautja before? (dude there is an official Predator comic where the concept of a semi-aquatic yautja is explored "Hell and hot water/ 1997) Do you know how many "River Clans" exist, i can at least think abourt two other creators which had never interacted with me or I with them before we interacted with each others post. Be real. I'm not special, you're not special. No one is. Stop gatekeeping

Don't be surprised if no ones interacts with you, if you don't interact with anybody else. If you want to get mutuals and form friendships you can't just sit there and wait for them to come by. You have to make an active effort to interact with them aswell. Because we are all strangers online.

On that note. If you come in a somewhat extablished fandom and you block some people for a certain behaviour but interact postiviely with others who do the exact same thing, Don't be surprised if the mutuals of said blocked people might be hesitant to interact with you at all, because news flash, we talk with eachother.

Final drinks for the Star Rail bartender event in Penacony, and I really, reeeally liked the drink sim concept. It's pretty much a simplified version of Espresso Tycoon's custom coffee menu. The Star Rail drinks don't screenshot very well since they look better in motion, but I figured if any of them were worth sharing, it's the event quest end-result mixes.

Up top we have Ita's drinks, aka the main account good guy character. The special is the one you make to represent Siobhan and the named one is for yourself. I really like his personal combo and found it kinda hilarious that Felbood Energy and Ice SoulGlad made the "uplifting" base, considering my OC version of him has chronic migraines due to his hybrid mix of human and ice demon heritage... but his Star Rail variant is definitely the sort of character who is trying to uplift his friends and random strangers in need.

On the bottom, we have Hotaru's drinks, aka the f2p challenge bad girl character. She of course decided to be mean to Siobhan with that blood-red monstrosity, and I absolutely love that I got the "broken" base on her own drink by pure chance. Yes, she be cracked, very much so. What a mess, girl... what a mess.

Now please let Gallagher-sama back behind the counter so I can simp s'more. One "Surprise Me" please, sir.

🦋 — INTRODUCTION

first off, thank you to @silentmoths and @ofoceansandtombsanew for actually sitting through my mad ramblings for this fic and the story. a lot of my current notes and plot threads were actually developed while i was speaking to them and to bear that level of patience witnessing my keyboard smashing? you have my respect ( also please check out the latter's god reader fic for genshin ; her reader, amur literally has my heart ).

one of the main reasons why i’m excited about this fic is mostly due to sumeru’s lore as a whole. the reader is from sumeru, and with me being south asian, i can nerd out and add as many references as i want, both in and out of lore and straight out of historical and mythical text. this post is actually a compilation of the references i added to my story so far. i'll keep updating it with every chapter, so if you're interested in any way, feel free to drop by!

in regards to the reader; yes you could say she is an oc of sorts, but simultaneously, she is not. i think the only set thing about them other than their backstory and personality is the godly title 'foras'. the interpretation of her appearance is wholly up to you, though i may end up drawing artwork of my own of my interpretation of her.

memory as a whole, is supposed to be a tragedy, as well as a bit of a study on zhongli's character and other stuff related to the reader that i will delve into later. but loneliness and helplessness as a whole is certainly going to be a recurring factor here. also i'm a total sucker for the 'god who loves humanity but is too weak to help them' trope. think of the song zange mairii...it's sort of like that.

speaking of which, yes foras is a god similar to the ones in noragami, one of my favorite animes, who are either reincarnated humans or were born from a wish or a story. due to this, human belief and memory is what essentially keeps them alive. i think you know where i might be going from here >:).

🦋 — PROLOGUE

i. the poetry used is an excerpt of the first and a part of the second paragraph of walter del la mare’s poem, two epitaphs. there is no clear explanation on what the poem itself is about but i take it to be a reminder of human mortality in a way. the poet is basically telling you that all in all, in the end, you're going to be pretty lonely after death and that kind of struck me as morbid and funny. it does tie into the reader's story in a way, since she literally dies before being pulled out as a fresh new god centuries later.

you know, like a potato.

ii. bhasmasura is actually a demon from hindu texts, a demon who asked lord shiva for a boon after he meditated for a really, really long time. unfortunately, hindu gods weren't all that great at noticing red flags and shiva certainly did not when bhasmasura flat out asked him for the ability to spontaneously combust anyone who he touches.

shiva did realize his oopsie when said demon turned on him and flat out started chasing him through the heavens trying to boop his nose. in the end, vishnu, the guy who manages the divine balance and all ended up taking the form of one of his incarnations, mohini, who is dubbed to be the most beautiful woman in the world and effectively seduces bhasmasura.

now, being a simp, bhasmasura skips the dating stage and asks her to marry him. mohini refused and states that the only way she will accept his hand in marriage is if he replicates her dance moves to the 't'. now at the stage of near obessive simping because mohini hot, bhasmasura agrees and mohini starts showing him the dance steps he was meant to copy. he does do surprisingly well.

until mohini touches her head.

and this dumbass does too.

so he ends up reverse midas touching himself and spontaneously combusts due to his own powers. mohini then returns to the heavens as vishnu again, ignoring all the horrified stares he received. the moral of the story : don't skip to marriage without a few dates.

iii. one of the main reasons why i chose bhasmasura is mainly because of the relation between the boddhisattva and vishnu. due to years of adaptation and appropriation, hindu and buddhist gods are pretty easy to mix up or corelate to each other. in some parts of india, people might just tell you that the boddhisattva ( who is buddha's og form ) and vishnu as basically the same. it's really confusing and explaining it in depth would take a while. all in all, it's kind of similar to the roman-greek thing where they have similar gods going by different names.

the boddhisatva's incarnations are actually detailed as different stories in the jatakas. so yeah, in the archon war, rukkhadevata basically mc-killed teyvats bhasmasura XD.

iv. mahosadha is a prominent characters in the jatakas and is actually the one incarnation i'm the most familar with ( a la the amar chitra katha comics ). in the original stories, he was a really smart baby who was later adopted by a king and made his advisor at the age of seven. so yeah, smart baby. most of his stories revolve around him completely decimating evil plots and schemes.

here he is is more or less one of rukkha's avatars ( like nahida...hmmmm foreshadowing??? ), a leaf taken from the irminsul. you could say he's sort of her son, but since he is a completely separate being from her, he has more of a diciple who traverses around teyvat to collect knowledge while she manages her nation. the reader is actually his junior in this craft.

he can also talk to birds and has a pet parrot, which i think is cute.

v. 'anahita' is my stand in name for the goddess of flowers. she's the persian goddess of nature and fun fact, nahida's name is actually derived from 'anahita' which is pretty fascinating! anahita's symbol is the lotus flower ( similar to nilou's own lotus motifs ). while the recent quest did give lots of insight on the goddess as a person, we still got no name. i mean, come on hoyo, don't be shy-

vi. 'vanrani' means 'forest queen' or 'queen of the forest'. sort of a nod to the aranara's 'arayani'. he usually calls her that as a term of endearment or informality rather than using it as a formal title. it's on the same vein as say, the names 'venti', 'zhongli' and 'ei'.

vii. ah yes the monsoons. it's basically the only drastic change in weather we get in the coasts. i remember many a day kicking buckets under leaky parts of my roof and sitting in the dark in the middle of power cuts. good ol days.

viii. the reader's goetia name is 'foras'. according to the ars goetia and our overlord, wikipedia :

'foras is a powerful president of hell, being obeyed by twenty-nine legions of demons. he teaches logic and ethics in all their branches, the virtues of all herbs and precious stones, can make a man witty, eloquent, invisible (invincible according to some authors), and live long, and can discover treasures and recover lost things.' AGAIN. i'm just not really a fan of this dynamic in general? like, i really like the concept of 😠😆 characters being a couple, but ehh, for some reason soukoku is just.. not it for me. it's like, i can see the "hating each other" part, but i can't see the "secretly in love with each other" part?? also i just got too tired of seeing it everywhere and the "this ship killed my grandma, okay" part is like. i've told this story to my other friends before, but long story short, back when i was like 13-14 years old and i just got into bsd, i was a part of this gc and all members liked skk, but i didn't, so they came up with this great plan: THEY JUST KICKED ME OUT OF THE GC EVERY TIME THEY MENTIONED SKK AND THEN ADDED ME AGAIN WHEN THEY CHANGED THE TOPIC. like. i get it, they were even younger than me and they said that "they did that for my own comfort", but also.. yeah, i kinda get ptsd every time i see them now /j

NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT WHAT I ACTUALLY LIKE. okay, i love both platonic and romantic versions of akio x ichiro. they're just so cute, but so toxic at the same time <333 like, hear me out. they have a very cute dynamic bc akio just wants someone to listen to him and admire him and just do what he says, but also recognize that he's more than just his intelligence and he has other good qualities too and if ichiro needs attention and someone to guide him and answer his questions, well, akio would be glad to do that! but also, there's a lot of angst potential since akio still misses arata to a very bad and obsessive degree as it will be shown in season 2 and he may also see ichiro only as a "second option" because he would like to reconcile with arata if he's able to go back home and also, unlike riku, ichiro probably doesn't really share any traits with arata? but hey, maybe akio should just stop searching for guys who look and act exactly the same way and try something new? also i can definitely see them as, like, that type of ship where someone talks a lot and the other one just listens and nods. but yeah, i think they should go to therapy together once they're out. if they're able to leave milgram that is (also hi i'm typing this while thinking about t2 akio and I'M THIS CLOSE TO CRYING)

AIMI X AKANE IS SUCH A CUTE SHIP (both platonically and romantically) IT LITERALLY MAKES ME MELT. like, their t1 version is so heartwarming, aimi finally gets a friend (maybe something more?) and akane finally gets someone who won't look away and give her all the attention and love she needs! also matching bandaids!! brushing each other's hair!! aimi saying that she can hug akane if she's too cold!! (and aimi is very soft and warm and her prison uniform is just like that as well) but also man. i'm thinking about the fact that i've actually never revealed much about aimi's backstory and what kind of person she was before milgram and like, why she was bullied by everyone.. and again, her undercover lyrics, if someone is not her friend, they don't deserve to even breathe. would love to see akane's reaction to t2 aimi, hehe <3 (don't worry, aimi is still cute, but now we get to know how messed up her morals can be) (also the fact that their love languages go together so well makes me go insane)

AGAIN. i love them both platonically and romantically. two angsty boys who have some love-related problems, how cute <3 but also, i think daisuke deserves someone better than kei jdkslsls. kei's morals are literally non-existent and he genuinely enjoys hurting people though one of the reasons why he likes it is because he thinks it's a normal way to show how much you love them. their love languages go together surprisingly well too (the masochist bit made me laugh so hard like if kei found out HE WOULDN'T LEAVE HIM ALONE AND WOULD TEASE HIM NON-STOP). this is also that kind of ship that really makes me wonder how your ocs would react to the t2 versions of my ocs, though in this case it's more about, well, kei's t2 mv and more info about his crime because IT'S GONNA BE SAD.

So uhhh basically

These guys?

I'm working to give them little personalities :) Idk when I first started making these little dudes I didn't have the idea of them being the specific Elsen in-game, if that makes sense? Basically these were originally just Elsen OCs lol. But! Now I'm trying to kinda go more towards that idea. Of course I'll probably make more Elsen just on their own. So uh lemme introduce you to the guys I have so far! Warning, spoilers for the game OFF, which should've been kinda obvious, but I can't blame you for thinking otherwise.

Elsen 1 and 2!

So these fellas are actually inspired by this animatic from the OFF animator themself! Elsen 2 is a very anxious Elsen from Zone Two who is really scared of... Well, almost anything! Luckily, his very best friend (and only person he's interacted with in years) Elsen 1 tries to support him in any way that he can. He's from Zone One, though, so he travels from the different zones often. Elsen 1 can't do everything flawlessly and teach his friend how to be the most confident guy, but he can damn well try! The biggest problem in their relationship, though, is that Elsen 1 is constantly haunted by the anxieties and fears that something will happen to Elsen 2 when he's not around, which causes him to be on edge all the time. His other friend Elsen 6, however, is decent at calming him down. These two both count as my second favorites!

Elsen 3 and 4!

These guys were inspired by an animation I made (hasn't been released yet sorry) where two Elsen play the balloon game together! Elsen 3 is a big chess nerd, and literally can play it all day. He and Elsen 4 love hanging out at The Park together, even if Elsen 4 has a better chance at winning each game every time. They just really like each other's company. Probably why they're best friends. If they were dating I wouldn't be surprised. I should really expand on their characters more ngl they're seeming a bit too simple right now.

Elsen 5 and 6!

These guys are put on the same page, but only for organizing purposes, they don't actually know each other lol. Elsen 5 is the Elsen working at the rollercoaster in Zone Two! He's a Zacharie simp fan of Zacharie's work, as the latter made most of Zone Two entirely. When Elsen 5 isn't dreaming about the day he'll meet Zacharie, he just works his job at the rollercoaster. Elsen 6 works in the plastic mailing sector of Zone One, but he also is in charge of making sure Dedan isn't going on a violent rampage. One day a bunch of Elsen in Zone One peer pressured him into checking up on the furious guardian, and he's kept the responsibility since. In the great words of my best friend, "he's Dedan's unintentional bestie". He also has a little satchel filled with containers of meat, wristwatches, and Pedalo ride tickets just in case Dedan gets pissed and needs something to calm down. Outside of Dedan, Elsen 6 enjoys spending time with Elsen 1 and 7. Elsen 6 is probably my favorite so far because of how silly he is!!!

Elsen 7 and 8!

These two Elsen also don't know each other either lol, though if they did, I don't think they'd get along very well. Elsen 7 is the only Elsen in Zone One to have all the jobs there. He works in the mines for four hours, then works in the cow barns for another four, then works at the plastic postal service for another four, and then works at the meat bottling section of Alma for four hours before having the rest of the day to do whatever he wants (if it's still daytime when he gets to his house). It's tiring work, but he's fine enough with it. Not like he has any dreams or aspirations. Well, depends on what you call a goal. Though, trying to get any higher personnel to even look at him wasn't really a well thought out goal from the start and he only kept himself in the same four jobs because he saw no other purpose in life. Elsen 8 works in the sugar factories in Zone Three, and oh boy does he suffer. By working there he's discovered exactly how sugar is made and he hates it. Probably the only Elsen in that zone who isn't addicted to the stuff. He dreads every waking moment because he doesn't want to stay in his job, but doesn't have a choice at all. Maybe the sugar addicted Elsen were right. Maybe sugar does make it easier to ignore every fault in reality.

Elsen 9 and 10!

Y'know the old time-y art that appears when each element is explained? Elsen 9 was the guy behind those! Well, in the OFF universe anyway. You get what I mean. But anyway he absolutely craves attention and validation. Any support is good enough for him! He will probably try to be your friend if you merely smile at him! Also I actually haven't decided on where he lives yet because he's mostly a traveling artist, but I think he lives in Zone One. May be subject to change though. Elsen 10 became a real sweetheart the day he realized how sad everything felt. He thought that no one was getting enough appreciation for all their hard work, and with the help of Elsen 12, he started being a really nice person. He always tries to work his hardest in Zone Three, and makes sure to give some appreciation to his coworkers as well! What a guy!

Elsen 11 and 12!

These guys actually know each other! Yippee! Elsen 11 was from Zone Two and was REALLY worried about safety. So worried in fact that he was scared that his necktie would choke him, so he took it off for that reason. Unfortunately, he also got kicked out of the residential area of Bismark because no one could tell he was an Elsen anymore without his tie. Damn. He moved to Zone Three — albeit very reluctantly — and got a job there. He didn't have a home until Elsen 12 let him in his own. This is kinda where I shift into Elsen 12's description! Basically Elsen 12 was an absolute saint and loves everyone. He was entirely content with his life, but he still wanted to be a good person. He helped Elsen 10 be a better person like him, and taught Elsen 11 how to face his fears. He's the glue that holds the three of them together! But, unfortunately, he one day fell onto the tracks of the Zone Three tramway and got into a bit of an accident with a certain black and white batter. He hasn't been seen since.

So uhhh yeah!!! That's my whole ECU as of rn! Of course I'm going to be making more Elsen in the future, and I'll be posting them here when I do! I know this little thingy isn't going to get really popular, especially since the OFF fandom is a bit dead rn, but still feel free to make your own ECU content if you want I guess, all art, fanfictions, and even more Elsen characters are welcome by me! Apologies for how late this response is lmao! Nothing much, been a busy last few months and I still have 3 or so busy months left to go 😭😭😭 but still good, ive got some fun stuff planned to do in the hopefully near future. Anyway!!! My design process,, oo boy- Guhhh

So most of my designs are redesigns, and because of that usually I have a base to work with.

I start with the main ideas, vibe, concept, theme, etc, and then go into trying to sketch it out, usually attaching to and amplifying a certain theme/idea. Like for the past few days, I've been redesigning people's OCs (its been quite fun) and with everyone's characters being so unique from each other I'd attach to something different each time. Some characters had a lot of keywords and vibes, others I had to kinda make up stuff of what I could read.

This OC (owned by @/lunefuforu ) had lots of details and energy I could go off of. An ice elemental musician, crystal ice and bits of white hair so I was like. Ok, this character's a musician and seems a bit showy how bout i give him a ice crown, and ice ears. Also, fluffy coat cuz cold. Icey. Also almost yeti-like kind of fur in some places jus to drive the ice element theme home. Lune had an incredible way of balancing the ice theme out so its not all just blues and blacks, and that was adding a warm/floral elemnt and i think thats genius, so I utilized it again for the coat and flower thats in the same spot.

Having a singular theme but many ideas is lots of fun to work with.

Anyway, I used Starryai and Midjourney to create these images, I tried to make them as close to the original render visual for DMC5 (Corky was especially hard to do which is another reason why I would prefer an actual person to draw them)

Felix and his Devil-Trigger (since he is a Nephilim I went with a black and gold color-scheme. Gold also works since he is Mammon’s son who is the ruler of Greed.) And if you have read my work, yes, Felix is HEAVILY inspired by Reboot!Dante. While DMC5!Nero took that character design I use what was left which was most of his backstory and personality mainly.

Corky and her Devil-Trigger (for some reason I gravitate towards a lot of orange when it comes to this character. And I went with a fly-like design because she is a gluttony demon. Gluttony = Beelzebub = Lord of the Flies?)

More of me nitpicking: Corky is actually supposed to have a darker skin tone (like Gloria's) but more some reason she was losing her roundness which I felt was more what I liked about her appearance since she is on the chubby side (there is another image of Corky on my banner as you can see) and we get no rep for curvier women.

Some more fun facts about my OCs

Originally when I created them they were supposed to be brother and sister. I even wrote an entire first draft of the original first saga with this dynamic in mind. However, I felt it would have been more interesting if they had separate backstories, so instead of another character (who was originally going to be the Nephilim but had a more serious personality) I removed him from the story (mostly because I felt he was boring and I kind of didn't know what to do with him) and gave that backstory to Felix. This made the rewrite so much smoother and gave both my OCs their own character arcs without the overlapping.

That is mainly the reason why I wouldn't pair them up, not only because Felix is a complete ass to Corky, but there is a bit of an ick factor since I went so long with developing them to have a sibling-dynamic.

When it comes to shipping, I originally did not intend to pair my OCs off with any of the canon characters. Especially Felix because there really isn't any options for him. With Corky I thought of self-indulgently getting her together with V (because I am the biggest V simp) but mostly didn't see that making much sense so am sticking more with the one-sided crush that's played for comedy. She might not end up with anybody either. If anything, based on a rewrite I am currently on *not the Wrath Followers but around Arc 4* there could possibly be her and Nero because when I'm writing their scenes I can see them becoming a slow-burn. But who knows.

As for other OCs, yes I do have other OCs planned to be part of the story, but decided not to make them main characters like Felix and Corky because its just a lot to keep up with. And I also don't want to take away from other canon characters like Nero, V, or even Nico. And yes, eventually Dante and Vergil are gonna come back so I can't have too many OCs that take away from the canon characters. Already I feel having two main OCs is enough.

I know no one cares enough but I just felt lile sharing this. SO, a while ago I was with a friend of mine who also plays TW and we were discussing how cursedly similar I am to Azul (in being the chuby girl at school and your local coin collector) and then she looked into Azul's wiki page to find out he has a stepfather.

Now, having reading a lot of fanfic involving cecaelias and mermaids (I love them) I grew into the idea of them being loners (and them being able to mate with normal mermaids) and so and interesting idea begin to flow into our minds. What if, Azul's mother and stepfather are regular mermaids? What if his stepfather also has a cecaelia daugther? and they bounded over the trouble of raising a cecaelia offspring?

Thus, Morgana, my Oc, was born.

Of course, my friend couldn't be left behind, and being a huge Vil simp she created her own Oc, named Lumiere, and thus began to write this whole joke of au. I like how she writes and it inspired me to draw them because I never say no to drawing cute anime girls.

She gave me permission to post the drawings of her own oc and talk about her so I'm doing exactly that.

First of we have my own oc, Morgana, who is unsurprisingly based of Morgana, Ursula's sister from the little mermaid 2

The whole movie was "Meh" at best, but Morgana was a really good villian. I love the cunning villian types, and she did better than Ursula in that regard. She took her time to appeal to Melody as a kindred spirit who understand her more than her own mother which, remembering that Melody was a teenager, won more points in the realistic sense.

But i also played around on paralles with Azul and myself. Siblings tend to be opposits on some ways, and though Mor and Azul are not blood related they would know each other from young age.

If i have to pinpoint my biggest diference with Azul would it be I don't have the same determination he has. Sure at some point I tried to do the same as he has but I gave up early on cause I'm to lazy to be bothered with it. And I tend to be a troublemaker in the sense that, as a teenager, I used to get involved in fights when I was actually pissed off. Something that Azul didn't even try with him being more on the vengeful side. That actually gave me and intresting parrallel to work on and that's the route I went on.

Besides that, much as Azul has some bits and hints of other caracthers not only Ursula, Mor has some tints of Vanessa. Although she was and alter ego Ursula invented, Vanessa was a vane beauty with an alluring singing voice, which Morgana in this au will take on. In this Au Morgana is a socially akward beauty who often plays as a singer in the Mostro Lounge, this will also play part on her Unique Magic, but I'll explain in deatail in another post (I'm working in a full fledge profile/promotional pic just as I've seen everywhere)

Moving on we have my friend's child, Lumiere (Lumi for short).

Now, correct me if I'm wrong but I know there are at least two caracthers in TW that aren't based on anything (Zebek is one example and I can't say for sure but I think Lilia can also fill in here), while others are based on concepts more than carachters (the poison apple, the card soldiers) and Lumi fills in the first category. For those who are curious, Lumiere is the name of the candle holder in the beauty and the best, but you can begin to forget about him because except for the name the share nothing in common.

Lumi is, much like Silver, your tipical princess behaviour but with some twists. With a pretty sad background she tries her best in the academic sense, and to be a good person, but she lacks a lot of confidence and is more akin to a people pleaser. This is actually mean to play a good parallel with Vil who is also her housewarden. I'm also gonna post a whole profile for her so I won't get too much into detail, but desing wise she is ment to look like an inocent princess. She also has the stars simbol which is also a common topic in some disney movies.

Our NRC 4th impostor 3th because i don't count Rook as an impostor, he definetly belongs there is your tipical mom friend, who has a THICK barrier which prevents her from catching most of the double sense or means comments. Although self counsius she is really used to supresses her own feelings, and in a nice parallel to Silver as well she is full of energy. Diferent from most of her own housemates, she really values Vil, as she sees him as someone who has everything she is lacking of, and used to rough love, she gives her 100% to whatever challenge he force on her.

I don't have much insides on her desing because i didn't do much. My friend gave me the pointers and a sketch of her desing and I went extra while drawing her in my style (my friend is more a writer than an artist) but what i can defenitly tell you is about another character that cames in a combo.

Yes, a cat. More specificly, my own irl cat. Funny story, my cat, called Makita (she was found on a metalurgic workshop, thus the name) is quite an stalker. She is full of energy and she tends to stalk all the cats in the neibourhood. Some of them ignore her, some of them tend to lose patience and fight her, but she always stalks. And she stalks me too. If a go anywhere for quite some time, she will follow me everywhere in the house, and if she can not find me for whatever reason she cries loudly.

This whole behavior reminded my friend of Rook, and thus, she became Maki Hunt. And my friend being the "I love cats but I can't have one of my own" type, Lumi is now the oficial owner of Maki Hunt. And she became Hunt in the au because, lest be honest, Rook wouldn't turn a blind eye to an stalker acomplice. Please expect A LOT of jokes.

So I decided to just rant a bit about one of my OCs: Yanoi Yasemi

You could guess from the Name that she's japanese but honestly idk myself

That's actually not a real name

3 years ago,I had a RPG with one of my friends and I asked her what name I should give Yanoi

At that time I didn't know that it was a made up name lol

This is her current design

She's supposed to be between 15-17

Her personality took time to really develop

When I was younger I watched a lot of Yandere Simulator videos and thought: Why wasn't there a Ultimate Yandere in Danganronpa?

Now I know why: It's a stupid Idea.

That was her whole personality back then,just a crazy ass psycho simp who kills people

She didn't had a backstory,I never really thought about why she did that

But as the RPG continued I started to make a backstory for her and tried to develop her more

I went away from the whole yandere theme in the end

Now she's just a teenager with mood swings

Instead of Ultimate Yandere I made her the Ultimate Nanny because it just fits her and her backstory more

But I want to make a seperate story for them all,I want them to be their own thing and not just be made for someone elses concept

I need to vent a bit, i really do. Its about my beloved Simping Server.

U may not want to hear about it, which is i respect. İf thats the case, have a nice day✨

İ love that server. Let me make that clear. I put a lot of affort for it and i had amazing time in there.

As a mod, i apologize if i let you down in some ways. İm trully sorry if i did. İm saying 'if i did' because honestly i have no idea if i did or not. İn my opinion i failed in some ways but no one reached out to me about it, so i cant be sure.

Server is really quiet for a long time. Many friends left.

Firstly i wanna say im glad they did. Because they choose to leave to focus on theirselves. Group chats are often overwhelming, and takes so much time effort etc etc. İm glad they choose to do what was good for them. İ really am. İ still love them and still support them.

İ am also not mad about server being quiet. Personally, the hphm game itself continue to ruin my motivation for creating a concept for my own oc's for it. Sometimes its really overwhelming that i want to leave it all. How can i be mad about people leaving when i myself started to moving on? Obv, i cant.

İts okay, i tell myself, they choose to move on and its okay.

That doesnt erase the good times we had together there, does it?

Ofc, i know only reason people left is not because of hphm itself, but the problems we faced.

İ am not here to bring it up everything again, but i really need to tell how i feel, i need to let it out.

Like all problems, the ones we faced also had many sides. And from bottom of my heart, i am sorry for both sides having to live through that. Misunderstanding, acting before thinking or simply making mistakes. İt was hard for everyone.

Somes decided to stay away from each other. Which is, i dare to say, the bravest choise. İ am proud of people being able to block someone. Now dont think im being dramatic. Fandoms are places to be enjoyed. İf blocking someone makes ur experience here a lot better, do it right away. İ swear im not mad at people who blocked me in past and i wont be mad if somes block me in future.

İ dont hate anyone. İm not angry to anyone. İ accept my mistakes. And i hope the ones that was mad at me can understand me now.

İ know most of us already moved on, so why bring it up again right?

İ have been in fandom for two years now. Not so long, but not so short either. All that time i was proud of myself for being calm and kind to everyone.

Well until today at least. I never know myself talking to someone like that, and that wasnt even so rude or anything!

İ know that person will understand im talking about them, which is good. And please dont make it obv that its you. İts not personaly about you now. İts about me.

Like i said today, i felt really angry. Maybe that person doesnt really understand why.

I was mad because i was failing to protect my friends from some drama again.

İ am not acting like there were no drama in that server. İm not acting like everything was perfect and "my" server was perfect. No it wasnt. İm not perfect, it cant be perfect either.

İ need you guys to at least know that the server stressed me so fucking much. Gave me anxiety attacks, made me leave tumblr for a while.

İm not saying it was your fault. İm saying it to let you know i was effected by it too.

İ came to understanding that i am looking like i didnt care much. That i "choose a side" in problems we had in there. That i am judging people. None of them was the case. None.

İ wish i can explain how guilty i feel about every single bad thing happened here. İt feels like my fault. Because i gathered people here i was the mod here etc etc. Even if i know not everything was my fault, i still feel like it. That has been eating me inside. Thats why i wanted to apologize over and over again.

İm trying to be a nice person, and i guess thats all i can do.

Only thing i feel sad about is how i lost contact with some people who left. But thats on me because im really anxious about dming people. So i cant blame anyone if im the one who doesnt reach out to them and let them know i still appreciate their friendship.

Thank you if you read all of that. İ hope i didnt make you even more uncomfortable, that definitely not what i am trying to do. İ just wanted to let it out, so i can move on.

I hope you guys will have an amazing day/night. And i hope i will see you with my not-vent posts 💜

a/n : for those who dk eddie's an oc i made for my series accessory to matrimony :))) man's in this but it takes place outside the accessory to matrimony "universe"/narrative! eddie's sis isn't married to tom here. for the story's sake i've given the sibs full names. didn't go into their backstories here (maybe a hc post for them one day but i don't think ppl would,, care HAHA alws kicked arnd the possibility ed's adopted and i have a whole backstory w/ hcs for that but you can disregard that concept if you'd like just my brain thinking thoughts i'll be quiet shhhh) anyway! i hope you enjoy <3

“I’m here for Edward Yang!” You shouted. The lounge’s patrons glanced at you, your clothes clinging to your frame, drenched hair falling into your eyes. It was raining sheets outside and you were unlucky enough to be caught in it. The guests immediately turned back around, chattering as they ignored you. You frowned. Being a Shelby, anyone in Birmingham would’ve fallen at your feet by now. But you weren’t in Birmingham anymore. You were in London, by instruction of Tommy, delivering an important letter to an important man. Trust your brother to send you out in miserable weather, embarrassing yourself in the turf of said important man, standing in his family’s hotel, soaked and raving, nobody paying you any attention. You felt a bloom of annoyance and determination in your chest. You’d deliver this damn letter. You stepped onto a table, aiming your pistol at the ceiling. “I said, I’m here-”

“So dramatic. Like your brothers.” A woman purred. The room fell silent, achieving what you couldn’t, even as you screamed and waved your gun around. She hung off her chair, a vicious, playful gleam in her eyes as she looked over you, a smile dancing on her lips. Tommy told you she might be there. You remembered him sighing, irritated as he recalled Eddie and his sister. They took care of their family’s business in England. Always a step ahead of the Shelbys, standing in the way of your family’s interests. The two had met your brothers in a few tense business meetings. “Quite the pair.” Tommy had grumbled. They were powerful, and managed to get under Tommy’s skin, but you wouldn’t let them do the same to you.

She sat beside a man whose back faced you, only his coiffed hair and broad shoulders beneath his tailored suit visible to you. Eddie’s calm voice cut through the quiet. “You pull that trigger and your family foots the bill to repair the hole in the ceiling. I don’t think your brothers would appreciate that. They’ve got quite the temper. Hopefully you haven’t inherited it, Miss Shelby.” You huffed. This was the important man Tommy spoke of? He didn’t even turn to look at you, the pompous bastard.

You leapt off the table, striding toward them. “Tommy Shelby says hello.” You tossed the envelope on his table. He finally deigned to look at you, a bit amusedly.

“Tommy Shelby should save his breath on greetings and buy you an umbrella.” His sister quipped, earning a snort from Eddie.

“I can buy my own umbrella. Your brother could buy me a drink.” You retorted. That seemed to entertain them, smiling at each other as Eddie called for a waiter.

“A towel and some dry clothes for Miss Shelby, please.” He nodded at you. “Have a seat with Ronnie and I. Your brothers and I aren’t exactly pals, but I’m not cruel. Can’t have a lady die of hypothermia on the premises, even if it’s a Shelby.” He and Ronnie chuckled and you exhaled sharply, exasperated. He turned back to the waiter. “Bottle of whiskey for the table and cigarettes, thank you. If her brother’s any indication, she’ll have quite the propensity for tobacco. And I’m sorry, but the absence of the guests from the lounge, please.” He announced, prompting everyone to scurry out the room. You stood, impressed but hesitant. You had just wanted to get this over and done with, leave their territory as soon as possible. But knowing the letter’s contents, you knew you’d have to play nice. You sat, reluctant.

“You aren’t wearing that silly hat. I thought that was Shelby uniform.” Ronnie smiled, before gasping dramatically. “Poor thing. Did they disown you?”

You fixed a smile on your face. Play along, (Y/N). “If I were your brother I’d disown you for less.”

She cackled at your response, Edward smirking as he scanned the letter.

“Trust me, I’ve tried.” He remarked.

“Mister Yang, this is all very… pleasant, but I’m here for a reason. We both understand how important this matter is.” You said with feigned geniality. You had snuck a peek of the letter on the way over. An offer of a truce, a merger. They had tried once before, marriage being arranged between Tommy and Ronnie as collateral. But it was broken off, Tommy stubbornly refusing to meet the demands of the Yangs. Together they’d be stronger, but truthfully, the Shelbys needed them. Finally, Tommy gave in. They’d fulfill the requests of the Yangs in return for shared power and protection between the two families. You thought Tommy had gone insane. Who was to say they wouldn’t take advantage, stamp the Shelbys out? But it was what Tommy wanted, so you’d put on a show of diplomacy for them.

Ronnie peeked over Eddie’s shoulder, and you tried to figure out their expressions as they read, waiting in anticipation.

“Handwritten. Romantic.” Eddie mumbled. “Maybe you should’ve married him after all.”

“I’m not into short guys.” She grinned, eliciting a quiet chuckle from you, as much as you tried to resist it. “Autographed, too.” She ran her finger over Tommy’s signature. “We should frame it, hang it in the lobby.” They smiled at each other as you tapped your foot impatiently.

Finally, Eddie looked up at you, his placid expression frustrating you. “Do you like champagne, Miss Shelby?”

“Only when served with good news, Mister Yang.” You prodded.

“Call me Eddie. Our families are… partners, now.” His voice faltered a little. He seemed unenthusiastic about the merger too, but you knew, despite your suspicions, he could be of a lot of help to you. And the Shelbys could be a lot of help to him. Two of the most powerful families in England. A smile spread across your face, one you were unable to combat.

“Call me (Y/N). Dom Perignon?”

You watched Eddie as he hugged his sister through her car window. She’d soon return to their family home. Fine by you, one less Yang to deal with. Your initial excitement about their acceptance of the proposed merger was soon paired with underlying hesitancy. You were allies with the Yangs now, and had to act like it, but you couldn’t help but drag your feet a little. What if Tommy was wrong? You bit your lip as you watched them talk, paranoid it’d be about you.

“Bye, partner!” Ronnie laughed as her car pulled away.

“Walk with me, (Y/N).” Eddie spoke, marching into the hotel. You paused, hating to follow his orders already. You groaned inwardly, trailing after him. “I ought to… take care of my partners.” He bit out, a slight reluctance lacing his words. You figured his annoyance with your brothers meant he hoped he never had to deal with a Shelby again. But here you were. Despite a bit of unwillingness, he seemed to be taking it in stride, though. “Usually, I’d set you up in a suite of your own. However, since the Shelbys always have perfect timing-” He grinned at you, and you shot him a withering look. “The hotel’s fully booked tonight. My sister’s suite is being prepared to be taken up by a guest, and besides, you wouldn’t have wanted to stay there without the staff touching it first, she’s the messy type so it would've been a fucking sty.” He flung open a door. “You can sleep in my suite tonight.”

You marveled at the spacious room, every inch of it finely decorated. You felt his eyes on you and you cleared your throat, hiding your amazement. “It’s a fucking sty.” You smiled, his laughter ringing out across the room.

You swung the door open to reveal Eddie. “Here to keep an eye on me?” You smirked. You’d just gotten out of the bath, having finished changing into dry, clean clothes. Eddie had taken his leave as you got ready, but he was back again, beaming at you as you let him past the doorway. You couldn't really blame him, it was his room after all. “We’re partners now. You can trust me.”

“Can I?” He smiled, cocking an eyebrow as he pulled up a chair.

You rolled your eyes, grabbing your pistol. You caught Eddie tensing up and you chuckled, unloading the bullets and handing the empty gun to him. “If you aren't going to trust me, you can stand guard. In case I get up to anything suspicious.”

He aimed the gun at you, squinting as if nailing down his target. He crossed his legs casually, the juxtaposition of his stance with the gun making you laugh. “And you trust me that much?” His mouth twisted into a smile. “I could get bullets. Or, in times of desperation, I’ve got a great throwing arm.” He joked, shaking out his hand as if warming up, pretending to prepare to hurl the gun at you.

You climbed into bed, staring at him past the barrel of the gun. “I guess we both don’t know whether to trust each other. But Tommy trusts you. I think that's worth something. We’re allies now, Eddie. We’ll take care of each other. So I don’t think you will get the bullets. And if you do decide to toss that at me in my sleep, I’ll throw these right back at you with a force so incredible I won’t need that gun.” You smiled, shaking your fistful of bullets.

“Shelby strength never ceases to amaze.” He grinned. “Maybe I will have some faith in you. Anyway, I can’t stay here all night. I’ve got a lobby to sleep in. Those rugs seem quite plush. I used to roll Ronnie up in them, leave her on the floor for hours.”

“You’re crueler than I thought.” You laughed.

“She deserved it.”

You looked at the shadows of his face in the soft light of the room. He wasn’t that awful after all. His lips pulled into a gentle smile. You hesitated. Were you really going to do this? Literally, sleep with the enemy? Well, not the enemy anymore. An ally. You sighed. “You could sleep here. We’ll share. It’s what we do now, isn’t it? Share. Business opportunities, influence, beds. Same thing."

“And let you throw those bullets at me at close range?” He cocked an eyebrow, clicking his tongue disapprovingly as he spun the pistol round, pushing it into his waistband with a dramatic flair. You groaned, trying to conceal your laughter. He paused as he looked at the bed, finally giving in and lying down next to you as you both stared at the ceiling, slipping into a comfortable silence.

You placed the gun back into his hand, pulling his arm up to aim it at your side. “Just in case I get up to no good, partner.”
