Essentially Black Rock Shooter OCs: Part 2

I was talking to Ripmin the other day and he mentioned that his character has arms that turn into shields and I remembered that I have a character that has essentially shields for arms, but since she comes in a trio, I again am posting 2 pieces of art!

These characters are essentially Black Rock Shooter OCs, but for those of you that don't know about that show [good show, nice watch], basically there's our world and then a parallel world that is a barren wasteland and basically occupies people who are the simplest embodiment of who you are, of who every individual is. And the only time they really do anything is affected by your emotions and interactions in the real world. You are friends with someone, your, essentially, alter egos are allies. You're not talking to someone or your brooding about someone or having a fight with them, they're gonna try and murder that person in alter-ego world. So yea.

I've made a bunch of these over the years, so you can see my very first iteration of "me" here: www.deviantart.com/pzab7022/ar… Shield is my latest/most recent emotionless alter ego. She the one after all my edginess. She has long hair like I like and I used to wear. She wearing a collared shirt because that is essentially what I am attached to and if I could wear them forever I would. I have a necklace with Mary on it that I always, always have on and even though I'm not really into being Catholic right now for reasons, it's still important, so she has a symbol for that. It's actually a big honking metal necklace too, you just can't see it cuz the chain is under her collar. She's got a sweater dress with layers because I really like sweaters and I really like poofy layered short dresses. She has long sweater sleeves because I like how warm they are and somehow sweaters make me feel like I can hide in their warmth and away from the world. Hence why they are also the shields. The shields shield her/me from the harshness of the world. I tend to go more on the defense than offense and I would rather get a good hit in and run back 6 feet so I don't get hit. Hit and evade, kind of like Muhammad Ali apparently did. The rings on her sweater are rings I wear on my fingers that are super important to me. Left ring is an amber ring [im polish, amber is important to us culturally and export wise] my dad got me, bottom right is my 18th birthday ring because 18 is important to my family and polish culture. and top right is my grandma's ring that she got from Russia that was hella expensive back in the day. She has heels because heels make me feel dainty and influence by my dancing career. They're shield looking shoes because the arms can't protect everything. Color scheme is mostly pink and purple because purple is my favorite color. The flowers in her hair are just pretty, but I also love the aesthetic of flowers, and innocence. Blindfold, smile and blushed cheeks are references to innocence and trying to pretend the world is different than it really is. That has so many connotations I am not getting into it. Simpinc is a play on simple. You can see the shitty drawing I managed to fit in next to the redesign. She was my second attempt at one of these. I was getting into Disgaea so it was more of a demon vibe and when I redesigned her I went for it, plus a chinese/those charm stuff. Asiany if I'll be racist. An amount of the characters in Black Rock had machine/ unnatural arms so I tried and I kept it in the redisgn. Mostly reds with the purplish hair. The hair is hair that I have, but not purple. She's got a sweater cuz sweaters are great and instead of a giant zipper, I did one of those wooden charms that says 'wish' because I am always wishing, whether towards a better future or a just a better day or maybe that the bus comes on time. Frilly skirt cuz yes. And now I am remembering being inspired by that street fighter girl, the chinese one that does the kicks, so Simpinc had white tights and small silk flats with bells on them. I was going for that lady's vibe. She also then became more of a fast kicker lady and uses the machine arm as a defense or blocker. I'm very good at kicking things. very good. The scars just look cool. haha. yea. So she's more emotionless than Shield, who smiles, and kicks super well and super fast. Her legs are her arms. Hope you enjoyed reading about them! June 10, 2019

On the right is the original, which is very gorey and non emotional with all my edginess. ohhh. she was super colorful which is the exact opposite of what Black Rock Shooter characters look like. They really only have one color with black. Oh the black. So as you can see, really revamped her but the essentials stayed. Love that hairstyle, Anna has it, so it stayed. Her expression is more stern and focused than emotionless. Simpinc follows my tiredness and depressive non-careness of the world with her. She has a scarf, cuz they're awesome and I have one that is so soft and essentially a traveling pillow. Gloves, yes. Frilly everything because why not and it is me. She does have a armor thing going on, which is the least thing I like and it seems a little like Shield, but I made it different cuz she shoots grenades out of her chest. Ties in with the grenade launcher. Those things are great. I really enjoy big booms but also the far away aspect, so long distance weapon go. She has stocking/leggings like in her former, but they're all black so I can tie more black into her not really black character. Also stockings are amazing! And lastly some nice tipped shoes cuz they're great and adorable. Hope you enjoyed reading about them! June 10, 2019
