hi just thinking about how Simon believes in his music and his band so much he's willing to do questionable clinical trials, risking his own body, and also sell drugs to raise money to pay for vinyl pressings of their album while his bandmates and friends for who knows how long betray him over a couple grand. All while this random girl he met in the back of an alley who he didn't really know at all immediately refused to snitch him out to the cops, invited him over to her house, and got her parents to let him stay the night. Patty did all of that for Simon even though he was being kind of an edgelord and testing to see her reaction by saying wild shit to her and her parents and she just invited him into her home. She didn't even know he was John Q yet and she showed him so much kindness, this guy she saw hiding from the cops and was in a college class with her at one point and even back then was just as antagonistic to the point of the professor throwing a stapler at his head—Like even if he hadn't been John Q you can tell they're both immediately smitten and I'm fucking sick over how perfect they are for each other. Also I'm convinced he got the music appreciation professor pissed by like going off about how shit the beatles actually are.
