Still Sonadow brained at the moment and have some thoughts-

I don’t think they’d have a big formal wedding ceremony or even really a formal engagement, I could see them fighting together in the middle of a battle and going “hey let’s get married” and then yelling at Knuckles to officiate because he has that authority as Guardian or whatever lol. They’d have a potluck with their friends afterwards to celebrate though.

On a more general headcanon note, I don’t think marriage is as formal and regulated in mobian culture as it is among humans. If two mobians say they’re married then they’re married, no need for paper work or official notice to the government to say that. Although traditions might indicate that a respected person in the community like the mayor or a village elder should lead the proceedings.
