#I have been thinking about the lower lobe of the caudal fin of a bow mouth guitarfish for over a week#why is it so big#it’s not fit for it’s supposed benthic lifestyle#when other wedge fish have smaller lower lobes#similar to other benthic shark counterparts#I think we’ve been looking for them in the wrong place#anyways
