All the members of the progen bloodline are named after minerals with metallic contents!

Scheelite and Cobalt are siblings and the original founders of the lair, Cobalt has an adoptive daughter he named Chalco (short for Chalcopyrite), their mother is called Iranite though she does not reside in my lair in the lore, and through fun coincidences Scheelite's stepdaughter is called Obsidian, which isn't a metallic mineral but it's nice how close it is.

So far there haven't been any forbidden names I don't think maybe to specific individuals but none that are publicly forbidden. (except maybe Marble but that's just because you might get mauled by a sentient statue and not an actually forbidden name)

Common names in your lair?

So most regions on earth has names that are more common than others, right? The popular ones. They may change a little from year to year, like Jacob and Emily. I had two cousins named Anna (different parents and sides of the family, thankfully) and a friend. There may be different spellings like Malin and Mahlin but you know the name. 

Now Sornieth is a wonderful mishmash of lairs, lore and libraries. Anything is possible, names are as varied as it can be. So my curious question is what name, or names, are most common in your lair, your clan? 

Does the parents name their hatchlings after the clan founder? After the bravest warrior? Is there a name that make all the others go “By the Gods, not another Susan!”? 

And a bonus question, are there any names that are hushed? Banned? Frowned upon?
