Luna: *Surprised* Mr.Lopez… hi, Toni isn’t here.

Mr. Lopez: I came to speak to you, can I come in?

*Luna opens to door nervously*

Luna: What’s wrong… is Toni okay?

Mr. Lopez: He was arrested.

Luna: What?? What do you mean? For what?

Mr. Lopez: *Sighs* He was caught with drugs on him.

Luna: Oh my god. I had no idea he was using.

Mr. Lopez: He was dealing. Look, Luna he’s going to prison for a year.

Luna: What? You don’t have a plan to drop the charges.

Mr. Lopez: It’s kind of a hard to do that when he was found with a bag full of drugs. Luna he got very lucky they are only charging him with simple possession. He had enough to be charged with a felony but I got it out of his house before anyone found the rest for it to look like he had an intent to sell.

Luna: *Holding back tears* I have homework to do.

Mr. Lopez: *Shakes head* Okay. And Luna? This stays between us. If he has any chance of getting past this we can’t tell anyone, do you understand?

Luna: Of course.

Antonio: I didn’t mean to get caught.

Mr. Lopez: you’re dumbass you were supposed to be more careful. You put this entire business at jeopardy.

Mr. Lopez: You’re sorry? This ‘accident’ can ruin your whole career. You tell them nothing. They were your drugs, you weren’t dealing. Don’t tell them where they came from.

Antonio: That’s the only way i’ll get immunity.

Mr Lopez: You’re so ungrateful for even thinking that. I created this business from the ground up i am not letting your dumb mistake burn it down in a day. They have been trying to get us on charges for years and you’re just throwing this in their faces. This is on you, Antonio.

Antonio: What about Luna?

Mr. Lopez: I will take care of her. I will let her know.

Antonio: I have some money saved, it’s in my locker at school in my old cleats. Give it to her.

Mr. Lopez: She’s a smart girl, Toni. She’ll be okay.
