Do you have any new Maddox lore you’d like to share?
This isn’t a surprise to some of you, but he has a sister, Sophia! She’s 2 years younger than him and her design is actually lifted from a Jedi OC concept I never really got to flesh out. (Girl to Maddox’s left here)
Aside from AU ideas and flashbacks, we don’t really see much of Sophia or her personality in canon - something I’m looking to change. Soph has had to put with her older brother being an eshay in his recent years, but she’s spitefully refused to give up hope that her brother could change, though she is mad at what he’s done.
On Maddox’s end, the memory of her is a main driving force to get back home and apologise to for being a jerk in his old life. The pin he wears on his jacket is actually Sophia’s, and it’s a physical constant reminder of where he’s truly from.
Fun fact: For his first several years in the GFFA, he doesn’t even remember her name, and when he does remember ‘Soph,’ he won’t recall if it’s ’Sophie’ or ‘Sophia!’
Though in time, he will come back home, apologise and set to make things right. It’s just gonna be a long long time.
Here’s a concept sketch of the sibling reunion:

Tova a Fire Flower. The spines that line her body are incredibly rigid and when she flexes the ones on her tail expand to make her more intimidating and dangerous. Tova spends alot of time traveling across the canyons breaking up any fights she deems to rough and does her best to protect those in need.

Augustine finally got the box wrapped up. He needed help making sure the creases were straight and the bow was pretty. The problem was that it was big, heavy, awkward to carry and squirmed. He had to stop several times to threaten to shake the box and catch his breath.
Finally, he made it to the meeting spot. Carefully, the giant box was lowered to the ground. The Yveltal just hoped that the brothers didn't have as much trouble wrangling their end.

Anti honesty ask,
favorite Star Wars movie and favorite SW character
Probably The Rise of Skywalker. It was a great conclusion to an amazing trilogy!
Darth Maul. I just feel like he is misunderstood. What a great guy! But I do see why when it comes to him people are split 50/50 😏😂

the way kesel built out knockout as kon's Original Villain is so underrated. she was hungry for a good fight. she equated sex to a good fight. she groomed kon bc she was groomed. she was a slave, but now she's free, but she didn't get to unlearn the horrors, and so just passed them onto kon. she didn't give two shits about silversword until the us navy came to capture him again. she WAS a nuanced villain. her villainy was rooted in real world issues of hurt people having no support network, no care, no way to be or do better, and thus continue the cycle of abuse and violence bc shiiiet, she lived through it. so can konboy! except we know her whole mentality is wrong, and that despite having being victimized her whole life, she has no right to victimize others.

Chris Rainier — Sorrowful Songs of the Silverswords (Self-Release)
Photograph by Emmanuel Ferand
Sorrowful Songs of the Silverswords by Chris Rainier
On paper, this recording, a set of new compositions by Australian London-based guitarist Chris Rainier recreating the pioneering U.S. composer Harry Partch’s radical microtonal approach to the instrument, sounds like an academic exercise. His modified guitars, based on Partch’s designs, are forbidding-looking machines, with strange clusters of strings and frets, and the description of the project reads like a musicology treatise. The sound, however, is inviting rather than challenging, more Leo Kottke than Derek Bailey (with all due respect to the latter). Simply put, this is a fine set of acoustic guitar instrumentals that also happens to illustrate the connection between Takoma-school picking and mid-century avant-garde music — right down to the long, enigmatic titles of many of the songs.
The sonorities of these instruments resemble those of a 12-string guitar without the chiming high G string. The tempos are generally leisurely, though “Saw-Toothed Waves of Lava Vexed the Surface of this Weird Ocean” (which is especially reminiscent of Kottke) moves along at a nice clip, while the last track, “House of the Sun,” seems to drip off of Rainiers strings. No electronics were used, but effects such as harmonics on “To Make the Sun Go Slower” and slide on “The Adamantine Billows of a Petrified Sea” add variation and texture. “The Heat of the Crater Dissolved the Clouds,” on the other hand, uses a scale and hammer-ons and pull-offs that give it a Sahel feel.
The compositional approach, while based on Partch’s, is somewhat reminiscent of contemporary composers for guitar such as Joseph Allred in favoring linear development over riffs and refrains. Again, the proof is in the listening. However cerebral the inspiration, this music will appeal to those with an ear for the steel-string guitar played with finesse and feeling, if unconventionally.

Cardinal Sins, originally released for the Bandai Wonderswan Color, is a game that truly appeals to my inner(?) edgelord.
What a cool aesthetic. Love the final boss, too.
And by that, I kinda mean boss(es). Still haven't beaten the Mirror of Cardinal Sins, but what a cool fight. And as far as the Wrath fight - just that apparition of a boss from Judgement Silversword, what a cool concept.
