Silver summoned a faint smile in response and repressed a wince when Muldoon carefully patted his leg dry. When Silver’s hand immediately went to the peg, Muldoon batted it away.

“You have to let it air, mate. Stay here and rest for the night, all right?” he said, laying his hand right over Silver’s knee.

The contact with the bare, unharmed skin made Silver pause in his movements, paralyzed by a not altogether unpleasant discomfort. Muldoon had cleaned his stump once or twice before, but a touch there was muted, and often uncomfortable when not painful. Silver realized this was the first time another person offered a lingering touch skin to skin in a long time, and he chose to attribute to such an unexpected act the halting of his breath and the acceleration of his heartbeat.

Rarely the fake first name. Ned asked for that himself and after a few days, even those with bad memory had gotten used to it. OTP:  Well, let me think about this one really hard.  Oh yeah, Silverflint. Bet y’all thought I was gonna say Silverdoon, didn’t you?  (Silverdoon is adorable but... Flint exists).  They’re soulmates and fight me (ง'̀-'́)ง 

BrOTP:  I think this is a well established fandom fact that Silver and Max are siblings, or at least best friends forever.  I feel forever robbed they didn’t somehow end up ruling Nassau together.

OT3:  This is actually tough because Silverflintmadi is so good and I adore Madi, and Silverflinthamilton is mindblowingly hot, and Silverfutley is the canoe of my own making and I intend to row it come what may...  And then there’s Silverflintlow which is an underexplored fucking GEM (get it?  Gem?  Thank you, Gemma, by the way for that fic.)  So obviously I have to go with Silver/Flint/Vane.  JUST FUCKING KIDDING.  I’m sticking with Silverflinthamilton.  Suck it, haters.
