@cdofoodsphere Foodservice Ready-to-use Shredded Tapa is so yummy! This is only the second time I've found it and both times at @merkado_ph at U.P. Town Center. It's P184.50 for 500 grams and it doesn't significantly reduce when cooked (meaning not much fat, Huhu) so super sulit. When I was a kid growing up in Philam, basta umulan, we had champorado and tuyo. Kata, Lola's long-staying helper would always prepare some for her and in true Fernandez fashion, we had it with Carnation Condensed Milk. As I grew older though, I learned to add spoonfuls of powdered milk to the mix from my Mom who was always extra like that. Nic said champorado wasn't a mainstay in Pluto so it is up to me to pass on the love for "chocolate lugaw" to the brats. So far they love it and have it with all my "fixings." @scoutshonorph in Vertis North has become one of our go-to restaurants since we held M's baptism reception there. We love the food and ambiance, plus the coffee is good. They also have free WiFi and board games for the kids and kids at heart. (I just wish they'd do something about their exhaust system.) I am adding the Meatballs with Creamy Pesto to our menu at home. When #Subaru invites you to lunch, you better be prepared. Their #BoxerBrews2019 series is when they invite media friends to visit highly recommended foodie joints to catch up and experience the food and the sights together with the Subaru Forester 2.0i-S EyeSight. For this one, their team trekked all the way to Quezon City to meet me and try out Lola’s Café where they serve yummy Filipino fusion food. The quaint cafe hidden in the Scouts area turned out to be a great discovery. Their small plates are superb and their mains are good, too! Servings are big - especially if you order as many dishes as we did. I regret not taking food shots as I normally would but I was truly overwhelmed. And that doesn't happen too often.
