here's the Meleanor chibi speedrun! upfront warning for some flickering and/or flashing throughout from all the sped-up zooming/layer changes.

it turns out I only really recorded up to when I exported the PSD for the first time, so I went back and recorded a bit more to at least show a little of the reworked cape breakdown and background. and then bounced her rig around so you can see a bit of it too! the parts I'm not too embarrassed to show, anyway

even sped up it's still like 47 minutes (s-she took a really long time to make okay), so there are timestamps/chapters in the description if you click through! I certainly don't expect anyone to sit and watch it through, but maybe it'll be interesting to skip around in?

Roslienne is a halfling druid who lost her home to the tyrannical Mount Cleric. She ran away after her parents urged her to, before they all died of starvation. She lived in an isolated forest where she taught herself druid magic. When she felt she had learned enough to be able to help her family, she returned to the village. Only to see that everyone she knew had already died from lack of food and water. There were new people who moved there, yes, but they were from the capital who ‘wanted to give the rural life a try.’ And, of course, when this mass migration occurred, the capital offered them as much supplies as they needed. Dejected, she returned back to the woods, living in a cottage and isolating herself from the kingdom.

Lorelai is a human necromancer. She grew up with her mother, father, and half sister, Cecania. The 2 were inseparable and they lived in the outskirts of the capital. However, Cecania was never at place in their home, being an accident to what was an affair between their mother and an elf. So, their parents hated her, but not Lorelai. Both really took to cleric magic, however, Lorelai was a prodigy. There was an offer for one of the girls to be an apprentice at the castle to further train their magic, where Lorelai was given the position. The night before she would head there, however, their house set fire mysteriously. Lorelai ended up trapped, and screamed for Cecania to save her. However, Cecania looked away and fled, saving herself. Lorelai died when a burning piece of the roof fell onto the right side of her face. Years later, shes mysteriously brought back from the dead by an unknown person. She has a new soul in her body, and souls are where your powers come from. She had the soul of a necromancer now, meaning, whoever brought her back to life.. gave her their soul. Things are so different. Now her sister is the Mount Cleric, seizing control of small town and they’re at war with their neighboring kingdom. What happened in her time dead?

It's been a while since I read Raffles' Ides of March short story, and I not a day has gone by on which I haven't thought of this image:

It's so homoerotically suggestive. Raffles is literally on his knees, head and forearms bare. Bunny is standing so close behind him, leaving over to Raffles like he's either going to whisper in his ear or kiss his neck, and a bottle of oil is literally in his hand. It's so damn easy to come up with captions for this art. I'm offering you a few:

"Bunny, I didn't bring the oil for THAT porpose!"
