The place was about due for a deep cleaning. Kiryu couldn’t imagine how the rest of Kamurocho was kept so clean, and yet the public restrooms were so abhorrent. Yes, that was the word...a simple word like “filthy” or “gross” wasn’t nearly powerful enough. He dared not imagine why it was this way; the fact was, nature called, and it was better that it be answered here than anywhere. I wish I knew how I could drink this much...even Nishiki couldn’t figure it out back in the day.

A breeze blew across Kiryu’s back, causing a shiver. That was really the problem with this specific public restroom - it was open-air to the rest of Tokyo, which meant it didn’t need ventilation fans to get rid of the smell, but it made it rather uncomfortable in the colder months. The breeze blew again. Damn it, I needed to go so badly and now I can’t? It’s not like anybody’s watching...

Except there was.

Kiryu happened to glance to his left, and his sight was full of snakeskin jacket and leather. A combination that, even he had to admit, he was getting rather tired of. Another gust of wind blew forth, and Kiryu realized it was Majima breathing right on his neck. He sighed. “Do you have to stand so close?”

“Don’t look at me. You’re the one that picked the urinal right in the corner. That’s a privileged potty, pal!” As abnormal as Goro Majima was, it could not be said that he suffered a shy bladder.

Kiryu sighed again. “Majima-san, with due respect, I can’t go with you standing right there, and there’s at least two other places you could have picked. Look, there’s another corner.”

“I ain’t budgin’, Kiryu-chan. You’re in my spot.”

“I’ll just find another restroom.” Surely there had to be one somewhere. At that point, Kiryu would have paid the steepest cover charge imaginable just to be allowed access to a Majima-free toilet. Except Majima was not moving.

“Tsk, tsk. You want your relief, you gotta earn it.”

Kiryu’s face screwed itself up. Between yet another sudden need to fight, and the overwhelming urge to pee, he hadn’t imagined the two would go so close together.
