Welcome to the 2021 Hawkins Holiday Hiatus! 

As the Stranger Things hiatus drags on, the energy and happiness in the fandom has dropped. This is totally understandable. While we’re waiting impatiently for season four, we all want the shooting process to go smoothly and safely. At the end of the day, we’re all fans of Stranger Things, and we’re in this together. 

But I think it’s time we took a hiatus from the hiatus. Let’s stop, take a deep breath, and have some fun! 

The Hawkins Holiday Hiatus is a ’Secret Santa’ type event. Once signed up, you will be secretly paired with another person. Between February 1st and the 28th, you must create a present for your partner. This can be anything. A fic, a picture, a graphic or edit, a poem, a playlist - there is no limit to your creativity! Our only guideline is that you must put as much effort into your gift as you’d like to receive. Our fandom needs some kindness and positivity right now, so let’s treat each other to a little holiday surprise. 

When you have been paired with another person, you will have the opportunity to answer some anonymous ice-breaker questions that only your partner will see. This is to help ensure you and your partner will receive a gift they will cherish (such as a drawing of their favourite ship, or a gifset of their favourite scene in the show). 

Come the 28th of February, presents will be posted publicly on Tumblr. Please follow the tag #hawkinsholidayhiatus for updates, posts, and to eventually see your gift when the time comes!
