𝙲𝙰𝙻𝙸𝙱𝚁𝙰𝚃𝙸𝙽𝙶 [ . . . ] > 𝚅𝟷 & 𝙶𝙰𝙱𝚁𝙸𝙴𝙻.

How   V1   has   felt   about   Gabriel   has   shifted   quickly,   even   within   the   short   amount   of   time   he's   existed.   Which,   albeit   it   short   for   humans,   is   quite   long   for   his   model   given   he   was   deemed   obsolete   at   one   point.

I   digress.   The   entire   bit   of   V1   not   knowing   or   caring   to   know   about   Gabriel   beyond   [   𝙴𝙻𝙸𝙼𝙸𝙽𝙰𝚃𝙴   𝚃𝙰𝚁𝙶𝙴𝚃   ]   did   ring   true   [ . . . ]   at   first.   while   Gabriel's   entire   storyline   is   about   breaking   free   and   becoming   more   than   a   tool   for   another's   will,   V1's   isn't   so   different.

We've   seen   firsthand   about   how   gathering   blood   makes   machine's   sentient,   and   V1   has   had   quite   a   bit   of   blood,   specifically   quite   a   bit   of   Gabriel's   too.

although   his   progress   towards   it   is   more   subtle   and   silent.   Throughout   his   existence   he   is   unable   to   reach   beyond   his   boundaries,   borders   made   to   keep   him   focused   on   his   task.   The   notification   :   [   𝚁𝙴𝙼𝙰𝙸𝙽𝙸𝙽𝙶   𝚃𝙴𝚇𝚃   :   𝙸𝚁𝚁𝙴𝙻𝙴𝚅𝙰𝙽𝚃   ]   still   shows   up   at   times   but   more   as   his   own   way   of   rolling   an   eye   and   moving   on.   But   by   then,   at   least,   its   his   choice.

V1   would   not   be   able   to   comprehend   Gabriel's   face   if   he   did   see   it   -   (   and   believe   me,   he'd   like   to   )   -   but   once   more   the   mechanical   processes   of   his   brain   would   note   it   as   some   impossibility   or   perhaps   a   false   positive   on   sabotage   like   an   image   or   content   meant   to   confuse   and   crash   his   processers.

as   the   two   continue   to   battle,   V1   has   to   reluctantly   admit   he   enjoys   the   challenge   --   albeit   a   bit   irked   he   keeps   running   out   on   him   before   he   can   finish   the   job.   V1   is   also   quite   a   bit   possessive   of   Gabriel,   in   that   no   one   is   allowed   to   kill   him   but   V1.

The   slow   slope   to   sentience   is   one   he's   hurdling   down   and   it's   by   virtue   of   Gabriel's   gore.   Quietly   stumbling   into   something   like   understanding.   They   were   both   tools   meant   for   a   purpose   and   perhaps   this   is   always   how   it   was   going   to   be.   𝚃𝙷𝙴𝚈   𝚆𝙴𝚁𝙴   𝙱𝙾𝚃𝙷   𝙳𝙾𝙾𝙼𝙴𝙳   𝙵𝚁𝙾𝙼   𝚃𝙷𝙴   𝚂𝚃𝙰𝚁𝚃.

V1   is   also quietly   bitter   about   the   fact,   and   about   the   fact   that   his   angel's   blood   doesn't   show   up   in   his   systems   any   different   than   any   sinners.
