prove it || c.b.
summary: after an argument between you, colby promises you that he'll do whatever it takes to get you to forgive him. requested by anonymous.
"i'm so tired of having this conversation with you! if you can't trust me, then we shouldn't even be in this relationship anymore!" you shouted, storming upstairs.
"you don't get to storm away from me in my house!" colby said, following closely behind you.
"well, maybe you should actually listen to me for once, and i won't have to storm off. i don't know how many more times i need to tell you that i don't want you for your clout, or your money. the faster you understand that, then the faster this fight can be over." you took a deep breath before speaking again. "colby, we have been going at this all day. i'm tired of fighting. until you get can get it through your head that i want to be with you, then i can't do this anymore."
you finished packing your things up, and made your way to your car to leave. you half expected colby to come running after you, but when he didn't, you finally let yourself cry. you drove back to your house in silence, letting the tears fall. this was the only thing that you and colby ever fought over, but after the fourth time having this fight, you didn't have it in you to continue to argue over it.
after a quick stop for food, you finally made it home. you sat on the couch, crying as you ate. you really were worried this was gonna be the end of your relationship, but you knew that you couldn't be part of a relationship where someone didn't trust you. you deserved better than that, and you weren't going to continue to put yourself through that.
a few hours passed with no word from colby. you figured you wouldn't hear from him tonight, and forced yourself to try to sleep. unfortunately, that proved to be easier said than done. you tossed and turned all night, mind racing with images of your night replaying in your head.
"god, this sucks." you sighed. you slept for a total of about two hours, and it hit you bad the next day. you moped your way through work, barely talking to anyone, or getting any work done. everyone was trying to get you to open up, and offer some comfort, but you weren't in the mood. you were just trying to get through the next few days, in case this was really the end. once you were finally off of work, you made your way home, and stepped straight into the shower. you sat in the bottom of the tub, letting the warm water massage your muscles, and washing away the stress from the day.
after your shower, you put on some pajamas and moved to the couch, turning on a movie. you rolled your eyes as all of your recommendations were romantic comedies that you were not in the mood for. you ended up turning on an action film that you ended up not paying much attention to. you spaced out as you ate your leftovers, feeling numb. you were all cried out, and now longer knew what to feel.
"god this has been the worst few days." you sighed, turning the tv off. you sat in silence for a while before there was knock on the door. you got up to the answer door, colby standing on your porch.
"hey." he said quietly. you stood there, your arms crossed across your chest, saying nothing. "can we talk?" you turned to move back into your house, colby following closely behind you. you say back on the couch, and he sat on the chair across the living room for you.
"talk about what? just so you can talk down on me some more? you've made it abundantly clear that i don't come from the same world as you and that i don't understand how the industry works." you spat, mimicking his voice. "news flash, i knew that when we met, and i knew that when we got together. you don't need to continue to make me feel bad about it."
"i know, i'm sorry. sometimes i just get too into my head about all this. you're the first real girlfriend ive had since i've been in LA, and im still having trouble figuring this out." he said softly.
"you can't continue using that as an excuse whenever you blow up at me. i understand you're having a hard time figuring this out, but sometimes it feels like you don't understand how badly it hurts when you say things like that to me. it makes me feel like you don't trust me and that you don't want to be with me."
"god, i'm such an idiot. i never want you to feel that way. i love you, and i love everything about us. i never want to make you feel like that i don't care about you, or i don't trust you. i regret that i ever did that to you, and i want to do everything i can to fix this."
"well, an apology is a start. but i need you to prove that you actually believe that and you do trust me."
"i do, and i will. i am so so sorry that i ever made you feel like i didn't want to be with you or that i didn't trsut that you were with me for the right reasons. i love you. i love you more than anything, and i want to be with you." he said, moving to sit next to you.
"i love you too." you said, pulling him into your arms. you hugged him tight and pressed a kiss to the top of his head.
"i'm sorry." he said again, looking up at you. "so so sorry."
"i know. and i accept your apology. and all the future ones i expect from you." you teased.
you and colby spent the rest of the night together, finally feeling better after the last couple of days. you hoped that things would continue to be good for you and colby, and you would stay in a good place for a while. maybe forever.

Trying to decide if popsicles for dinner are a valid life choice. I feel like they might be, given that I was Very Brave and did scary medical things today all by myself and nearly passed out, and now my nose is all bloody. (Am fine.)
So the thing is, my quest this year has been to get my migraines under control. That is... an ongoing battle, and I have only had mixed success on that front as my doctor and I try to figure out what meds work best for me.
But as part of that quest, I had an MRI done, because things changing in one's brain = cause to look at the ol' grey matter. And in the results, there was a note about a very small cyst in my sinus cavity, which my doctor said was quite normal and probably had no bearing on my headaches. But it prompted me to mention that I was always congested on that side of my sinuses, to the point that if I start sleeping on my back, I will inevitably wind up sleeping on my left side so that my right sinus is elevated.
"Your headaches are almost exclusively on your right side," said my doctor.
"Yeah?" I said, because I am slow sometimes. "But they're definitely migraines, not sinus headaches."
"I know," she said. "But it's interesting. Does your congestion impact your sleep, do you think?" she asked, and I laughed, because-- unquestionably. Like, I cannot remember the last time I actually slept all the way through the night without having to turn or sit up in order to breathe more easily.
So then she gave me a name for an ENT guy, because congestion -> bad sleep -> all sorts of neurological issues, including migraine. And even if it doesn't do anything with my migraines, hey! Being able to breathe out of both nostrils seems like a plus.
The ENT doc was very nice, took one look up my nose and was like, "Yeah, so the fact that you're sleeping on your left side is HILARIOUS, because you've got a seriously deviated septum that makes your right sinus much wider, but it's so blocked by your turbinates right now that it's narrower than your left. So that's why you can't breathe."
And today I went back to have them do a turbinate reduction, which sounds fancy, but is basically like dental work for your sinuses. They numb the heck out of your turbinates-- nasal structures that direct airflow and humidify the air you breathe-- with injections of lidocaine, then shove a couple of cotton wads soaked in a numbing agent up your nose, and then they do Something with a Long Tool that shrinks your turbinates down to a more normal size. I think it cauterizes them, but I tried not to know a lot about the specifics.
Anyway, it's an in-office procedure that takes about forty-five minutes, unless you're me! If you're me, you get to the part after the lidocaine injections where they shove the knock-out tampons up your nose, and the doctor takes a look at you and says, "You know, sometimes people have vasovagal reactions during this procedure, and they can feel a little dizzy. Are you--?"
And then I told him he needed to lay the chair back for me, because otherwise I was going to pass out.
Sigh.
Break your arm badly, and stay stupidly conscious even when you'd much rather not. Have a slightly uncomfortable procedure involving needles, and immediately go white-lipped and sweaty as your blood pressure plummets. Logical, brain. Eminently logical.
Anyway. Once the nurse took my blood pressure about a million times and it started to go back up to Not Dead levels, we tried again and I shut my eyes and white-knuckled it through and tried not to think about what the weird noise-feels were in my head as he did... whatever it was... with the Long Scary Tool. And then it was done!
And now I am very gently, gently blowing my slightly bloody and sore nose, and marveling because-- I can already breathe better.
So I think I deserve popsicles for dinner.

I've never done drabble before but tis is fun. Ahem anyway Nicky Valentino drabble for y'all.
Summary: MC having one of those episodes.
Warnings: Angst/comfort.
Tumblr media
Empty. Or is it sadness that you're feeling? Whatever it is you feel nothing.
Nothing. The nothingness. The emptiness building inside you're fragile body.
You feel like doing something today. Your mind was like "yeaaa" but your body was like "noooo". Again. Another day, another procrastination.
God you feel useless.
Sometimes you hated that. Sometimes you feel like you needed that.
Do you? You don't know. You're not sure. It's hard to sure. Hard to think. God it pains to think. Stop thinking. You can't. You're mind keeps racing and racing. Running from what exactly you're not so sure yourself.
You stared at the white ceiling, arms and legs spread like a starfish, hairs everywhere. You don't care what state you look like right now. You're too busy fighting God knows what. Part of you wish for someone to fight them for you.
"Toots?"
Oh wait. You did.
Footsteps echoing louder as he came closer to your shared bedroom. Que to angels choir though, he looks stunning as always. Too perfect. Too perfect for you.
You didn't look at him when he stepped closer and sit on the bed near you, looking at your figure. "Hey." Allowing only your eyes move at his direction. "You okay?" You didn't answer and look back at the ceiling.
He crawled beside you, caressing your soft hair. "..What's wrong?" The concern in his voice struck you like a lighting.
You don't want him to worry. You hate making people worry about you. You wanted to open your mouth. Saying that you're fine but you know better than to lie to him.
He knows better. He knows you.
Why that pains you so much?
He doesn't deserve you.
And that's it. You close your eyes slightly tighter to avoid the tears from coming out.
Nicky saw this and he knew. God how much you hate that he knew.
You clinched you're teeth and pursed your mouth tightly to prevent from those pathetic noise to come out.
And he knew.
Hate it.
Hate it.
Hate it.
Hate it.
Hate it.
"It's okay, baby.. I got you."
His voice. God his sooth ass voice. How he manage to do that is his natural talent you yet not discover.
You feel a soft wet touch pressed against your forehead.
You opened your eyes to feel something wet ran down across your cheeks.
You didn't realize that you have cried.
You're pathetic.
I'm pathetic.
You heard shushing noise coming from your ear. You barely could put up a single word as you heard that certain pathetic noise you avoid to make.
Oh no, you're whimpering.
Pathetic.
"It's okay, love. Let it all out."
You heard it again. Your savior's voice.
You're a burden. He don't deserve you.
Safe me, you wanna say. But nothing came out except the whimpering.
You're stunned. Numb. You can barely move. You wanna hold him, tell him to hold you back. Tighter. Tell him to not let go.
As if he had read your mind, he lay down with you, pulling you closer so he could hold you properly. Moving your head to his chest, he cradles you and say nothing but sweet things he always said to you every single day.
"It's okay."
"I'll be here."
"I'm not gonna leave you."
"I love you."
You breath slowed at every sentence. Your body begin to relax. Finally having the strength to wrap your arms around him and hold him close.
So he don't let go.
And he's not planning to.
You sighed as you drifted to Dreamland.

BTS reaction to...
You visit them
(Maknae Line)

Jimin
His tounge pushes past her own, creating such a force that knocks her off her feet. he takes the chance to swiftly pick her small frame up, and carries her over to the neatly covered bed sheets. she plops back into the soft duvet, awaiting the night ahead of herself. Reacjing up past her small figure, pinning her wrists just above her head. She dates not to move the. She elicts a moan so loud, it could cause an earthquake. The breaths and slight whines from the mixture of their own creates a paradise neither of them want to esca-
"Y/N? Y/n!!"
you look up from the novel you had been invested in. You see your five-foot nine boyfriend standing over your small figure, taking in your concentrated look. you had come by his studio to relax and chill while he worked on some new adlibs for their upcoming song.
"where'd you run off to?" he questioned, as you shut the cover of your book.
"nowhere." he smirks, swiftly moving closer to you.
"nowhere, mm?" he quickly grabs the book from your grasp, holding it in the air where you can't reach, as he reads out loud with his broken English;
"he slowly starts moving, their hips pistoning against one another's. his moans were the epidemy of euphoria to her. she could get lost in them forever. her eyes didn't dare to leave his, even when they were nearing their end, the drawn out eye-contact made sure to keep this moment at it's finest. just as he was about to come undone, his mem- HAHA his member!?"
He continues to read.
"sprung out from below the two.'. What the hell is this?? why are you reading a porno, y/n??" he falls to the floor, laughing while while taking in sharp breaths in-between.
"it's not! it just happened to have a scene in it-" he stands up, eyes now having changed. You can see the swirls of lust pool his eyes. You back up slowly, hitting the wall behind you. he traps you between his grasp, leaning down into your ear to let out hot, staggered breaths against your lobe.
"you want this, y/n? you want me to do what the book says?" your breathing becomes uneven, your legs start going numb from the new situation appearing right before your eyes. you nod your head, eager for his touch. he chuckles, and presses his hips into your, making a sound emit from your chest.
"i need words, baby. tell me, or I won't know what you want." you let out a long sigh, pushing your hips back against his.
"y-you..". in a swift motion, he throws you onto the hard cushion of the couch, and hovers ontop of you. he leans down and whispers huskily
"buckle up, baby girl. I'm about to take you nowhere~"

Taehyung
It's been around two weeks since you've seen your boyfriend. Now, you decided to meet up with him at your favorite place. Where you met, actually. He had been shooting a RUN episode with the rest of the guys, their mission was to find all of the missing pieces to fit into one big picture frame, to create a very famous painting. You had been at the museum that day, taking pictures for your blog on artwork from ancient times.
He hadn't watched where he was going, and BAM.
A sudden blow to the back made you both stumble to the ground. Making you land on your camera. You had scolded him for watching where he was going, and saying how much that had hurt. He apologized profusely, telling you he'd pay for the damage, along with something else to make up for it. Long story short, he had confessed his feelings in the same spot you two had met. He believes it was destiny, but you felt like it was just him being careless.
As you're walking up to the newly placed statue, you look around, not seeing him anywhere. did he forget? I mean he does forget things a lot sometimes. You couldn't count how many times he's asked you where his favorite pair of glasses were. You sigh, and go to sit down in the corner. Right before you could, a pair of hands covers your eyes, as a certain smell fills your nose. You immediately recognized whom it was.
"guess whooo~" you giggle, and pretend to think.
"hmmm. hyun-bin?" he takes his hands off, as you turn around, seeing a sad expression upon his face.
"haha..very funny.." he pouts. you laugh, and kiss his cheek. he immediately lights up. His eyes glistening with innocence.
"hah, hyun-bin doesn't have this though~" he exclaims.
"nope~ he doesn't~".
as you both walk through the museum, making some weird faces towards the paintings, and listening to him talk about the history and brush strokes of the famous artworks, you realize something. "and this is my favorite. the van Gough-" you cut him off.
"I love you"
he pauses, and turns towards you.
"w..what?" you feel your cheeks start to heat up.
"I..I love you, taehyung" he beams like headlights.
"I love you too, y/n!!" he picks you up by the waist, and spins you both around. you laugh, as he puts you down, pecking your cheek. This is all you've ever wanted. A picture cannot compare.
Tumblr media
Jungkook
They had just gotten done with practice, so you had decided to pay him a visit. (also to tear him a new one about eating all of your ramen at your apartment when he came over). You type in the password on the small padlock, and open the door. Squinting eyes helps to adjust yours to the new lights.
There, sat two big bottles of coke and dr. pepper, along with 3 plates of half eaten-crust pizza slices. You two turn their attention from the screen, to look at you.
"Hey y/n!" taehyung smiled brightly, while standing up to come and hug you. You smile back, hugging him with just the same amount of force. you soon let go, and walk over to your best friend, seeing him scarf down a slice of pizza with some string of cheese hanging from his bottom lip.
He quickly puts it down, along with the controller.
"hey" he quickly replies, while taking a sip of his coke, and going back to his video game.
"hey? that's all i get? this place is an HOUR away from my apartment and all i get is a hey??" he twists his head to you.
"wassup?" he questions, as if he's a child being scorned by his mother. You chuckle, and grab a controller.
"lemme join" you look around, seeing the guys now sitting in the floor in front of you.
"but y/n this is a violen-" you cut him off.
"kook, Mario kart racing is not 'violent'". You use air quotes to get your point across.
"plus,-" you add on, while reaching for a slice of pizza from his plate.
"-you've been playing for forever. my turn to wipe the floors." he chuckles, and shakes his head, but agrees.
"fine, but let me show you how to use the controllers" you look towards the screen, as he scoots a little closer in proximity, putting his hands over your on the controls.
"this-" he moves your left thumb up slightly, making the joystick move"
"-is how to go. and this-" he moves the other, opposite of the first one
"is your breaks. special power up are this button-".
once you've gotten down the controls, you start. the light sound of the joysticks all moving, racing against time get your blood pumping. as you pass the other cars, you jump up in victory, and rub in the loses of the two boys in front of you.
"ah damn it!" taehyung replies.
"wow kookie who knew your girlfriend was gunna be good at video games too" Jimin adds on. you look down to kookie, who has a blush creeping up on his face, as he hits Jimin's right shoulder.
"yeah kook, who would've thought." you smirk, and sit down. the guys stand up, and start walking out.
"where are you guys going?" Jungkook asks.
"well obviously you have to show her who the real pro is, right tae tae?" Jimin glances to taehyung who is quickly trying to pick up his stuff to leave.
"mmm" he replies.
"have fun you two~" they both leave before Jungkook has a chance to yell at them for leaving us. you chuckle, and hand him the other controller.
"first one who wins has to buy the other ramen" he laughs, and nods, facing his attention towards the giant screen.
"deal~"

eijirou kirishima | f!reader, DARK CONTENT, drugging, noncon, but also the reader isn't not into it bc like...i have my limits okay, talk of vomit for a sec (no actual vomit), degradation, bondage, size kink, hair pulling, ripping clothes, slut-calling once or twice. minors dni!
— 3k words
"'S this what you need, Sweetheart? Y'need me to use you to get off while you just lie there and take it?"
Tumblr media
"See somethin' you like, Sweetheart?"
"U-Um," you flush a deeper red than the stranger's hair and pray he can't see it under neon red lights. Either way, you've been caught red-handed, and recoil. "Sorry."
The stranger's crimson eyes soften before relaxing into a kind smile, and he lifts a dismissive hand. "I was just messing with you! That's on me."
He lifts a hand to scratch the back of his head and the smile grows wider, displaying the rows of predatory sharp teeth that shouldn't look as gentle as they do. You relax in the seat to his right, immediately turning to the bartender to order a funny named a drink. The redhead raises an eyebrow, leaning his arm on the counter.
"A Stranger Danger?" He nearly deadpans.
"Club Special," you shrug. You've never been particularly great at holding your alcohol, but this drink provides just enough punch for a buzz, aka what you need to get through the night. The bartender slides over a tall, rose-dyed wine glass without another word.
Tumblr media
"Eijirou Kirishima," the stranger says with his sharp teeth, offering a large hand to shake. He looks comical next to you, all hunched over the neon bar while you sit up straight for your head to reach his shoulder, and as you take the handshake, can't help but notice how his palm eats yours like it's nothing.
"Y/N," you smile. His hand lingers before it pulls away, and he tells the bartender he'll have what you're having.
"So," Eijirou starts once his order has been placed. "You come here often?" You snort at the cheesy line, and the way Eijirou smirks implies he knows just how cliché it is.
"Sometimes," you shrug vaguely. The club's fairly new, so it's not as if you can say you've been going here for years. You lift the drink to your lips, the sugar-crusted rim tickling the corners of your mouth. "You?"
He shrugs, "When I want to get out."
You nod at that and offer him your glass with a raised eyebrow. Eijirou shakes his head, lifting a glass of his own. Your nose scrunches.
"Beer?"
He takes a sip before answering, lips white from the foam before his tongue licks them over, "Stella Artois. Want some?"
Your eyes shift between your dainty glass and his not-so-dainty one before you snort, "I'll pass."
Eijirou shrugs, reclining back in his seat and beer in hand, "Suit yourself."
You pat your back pocket for your phone, but when you realize there's a loss of weight on one side, you pat your right buttcheek to realize you left your wallet in the car. Fuck.
"Uh, hey," you say, knocking the redhead on the shoulder. You figure he's trustworthy enough, and the bartender always keeps an eye out for you anyway. "I'll be right back—left my wallet in the car."
Eijirou nods at that as you push away from the counter practically shaking your head at how distracted you can be sometimes. Seriously, your wallet?
At least the bartender didn't ask for your ID. Yikes.
You slam the car door shut with a huff, wallet finally in hand as you trudge back to the bar. When you return, Eijirou's got the beer lifted to his lips and greets you with a small wave as you sit down.
"Long time no see."
You giggle while grabbing your glass by the neck. As the club starts to fill out, you begin to shrink into your shell—throwing the entire drink down the hatch fixes you right up, though.
"Oh wow okay, looks like we're just going for the whole thing, then," Eijirou chuckles as he takes a much more civilized sip of his. You smack your lips with a satisfied aah.
"Gotta get the buzz going somehow," you wink, before getting comfortable in your seat. Alcohol warms your veins already, prompting your body to start pulse in time with the bass of the music. Eijirou smiles, watching you.
"You like this song?" he asks softly, before adjusting so you're both sat the same way—elbows and backs against the counter, facing the club and all its chaos. You shrug.
"I guess. I've never heard it 'till now."
He tosses his head back onto his muscled shoulders in a chuckle, and you watch the entire act in slow motion. The glint of his teeth in the neon lights, how his chest balloons and quivers under the weight of a bellow. You find yourself staring much harder than you intend to, but he doesn't seem to notice, eyes locked on the dance floor.
"Touché, touché," he says upon recovery. The alcohol in your veins turns to syrup and time starts to blur more than you're used to it being, body so light and weightless you have to pat the chair to make sure you aren't floating. That usually doesn't happen.
"You okay?" Eijirou frowns when you falter. You pull a smile and nod.
"Mhm," you say, though silently panicking when you feel like you're falling out of your seat. You grip the countertop just in case. "Mhm, yeah."
He raises an eyebrow, "You sure?"
"Yeah," you nod, before clearing your throat. Your body flashes hot then cold, and you wonder if you shouldn't have taken that drink down like you did. "I'm um—I'm going to go to the bathroom, one sec."
You're unsure if Eijirou says something as you leave because you pour all your energy into stumbling across the obnoxiously loud club, filled with too much bass and pandemonium for your liking. You're suddenly overwhelmed by everything and your esophagus goes numb at the thought of vomiting, but you make it to the singles bathroom just in time to shut the door and control your goddamn stomach.
With a sigh, you rest your head against the cool sink. The incessant buzz of the overhead lights is much, much better.
You take a deep breath and flick on the sink. Ensuring it's as freezing as it can possibly go, you launch some into your face. You don't even consider ruining the amount of work that went into your outfit today, because ultimately you aren't sober enough to give a shit, blinking back at your reflection to find it fairly blurry. You nearly stumble and fall, but your vice grip on the counter keeps you alive.
"You okay?"
The second you step back into the noisy club, Eijirou's there—with his sweet sharp-toothed smile, he's posted next to the bathroom door and you find yourself grappling his jacket for stability.
"Whoa—Careful now," He chuckles at your sloppiness with a lifted eyebrow. You blink once, twice—the spots floating in your line of vision don't disappear. His hands snake around your waist to keep you from falling and eating shit, and you dig your forehead into his muscled chest.
"Gotta—I gotta go home."
"Okay," Eijirou soothes softly upon realizing how utterly shit-faced you are. "How'd you get here?"
"Walked," you groan and nearly cry, looking up at him with a pout. Eijirou coos.
"Well, no offense but I don't think you're good to walk on your own, Sweetheart."
His voice is heady with something you can't quite recognize, but it's comfortable, and you melt into his chest with a weak nod.
"Mhm."
"Can I help you home?" He offers with a kind smile. You nod, fists gripping his shirt in tufts.
"Yes please."
Tumblr media
"Oop—careful."
"I am al—hic—always so fu—fucking careful," you slur. Your body has gone so numb that Eijirou gave up and resorted to carrying you bridal style the rest of the way instead. But he has to set you down so you can stuff your keys in the door, but you can't even do that right.
"Need me to do it?"
"No!" You puff your cheeks, trying twice more before you successfully get it in the keyhole. "'Mma strong independent woman who don' nee' no mahn."
Eijirou chuckles, and using his big shoulder, opens the door to chauffeur you inside. Neither of you get very far, maybe halfway to your room, before your legs give out and the only thing that saves you is the hand on your waist.
"Down this hall?" He asks, raising an eyebrow. You nod so profusely it gives you a temporary headache.
You blink and you're in your bedroom, your front hitting the sheets with a soft thump. Huh. Maybe he carried you the rest of the way. With a face full of pillows, you groan at the new and improved position as you feel the bed dip behind you, and Eijirou grab both of your wrists.
"You're so cute, you know that?"
Something soft and silk ties your fists behind your back. You recognize the material as the belt from your robe, tossed carelessly on your bed during the chaos that ensues every time you get ready for the club. It's not until you try to pull your hands apart that you realize they're tied tight.
"Pulling is only going to make it tighter," Eijirou says with an absentminded sigh, like he's done this before, and trepidation spikes in your chest once he raises your hipbone and slides a pillow underneath to angle them, the only way you could break free—especially with the new grip on your hips.
"Ei—" you try to squirm, legs kicking blindly into the space behind you, but once he seizes your thighs he's sitting on your calves to keep you in place. There's the undeniable sound of cloth ripping and your behind is suddenly met with cool air, prompting a shiver or two.
"Eijirou, what are yo—"
You're interrupted by a stinging slap to your ass and a growl. "Don't tell me I gotta gag your pretty mouth too, Sweetheart."
His voice is low and sharp with a threat, his grip tightening around your thighs.
"You're soaked already? Fuck...and I bet you taste so sweet too..." he bites back a groan in thought, sliding a finger down your slit.
He clicks his tongue but it's damn near mocking. You gasp as he fills you with two large fingers instead of one, body tensing as the alcohol-induced numbness fades in favor of amplified arousal. Eijirou chuckles at your reaction.
"Taking it so well already," he purrs, hand caressing the crest of your ass. In your defense, there isn't much you can do but take it. Ah-ah, Sweetheart—Speak up for me."
"O-Ow," you hiss when your head is wrenched. upwards via your hair to expose your broken moan. Eijirou's grip only tightens after you complain, and you can feel his hot breath ghost the base of your neck. His thumb finds your clit and doesn't move, it just sits there as heavy weight—and it's just as frustrating as it is teasing.
"Ei," you rasp into the pillow, voice hoarse and thick. "I nee—fuck, more—"
"More?" He chuckles derisively, shaking his head with a tut. "Two fingers and you want more? Fuckin' slut."
Each word is loaded with something pitifully mocking and if you were in any other position you would've curled a lip and spat back. But that's a little hard with your face in the pillow and Eijirou's weight above you, isn't it? You shake your head against his fist until he lets go in favor of crackling a solid hand against your ass.
"Oh, you like that, don't you Sweetheart?" He grunts and his fingers increase in speed, the lewd squelch bounces off the walls of the bedroom and echoes in your head in the most insulting way. "My fingers fill you up that good?"
"Y-Yeah, I—" you choke around drool that gathers in the corners of your mouth and shake under his palm. "Fuck me Ei, I nee—"
The quick spank cracked against your ass shakes you from your thought process. "Dirty fucking girl—you really so desperate to let a guy you just met fuck you like this? So goddamn easy."
But he's removing his fingers regardless, stuffing them between your swollen lips as he assumes the space behind you. You hear the quiet fumble of his belt and the run of his zipper, before you feel his hot cock pressing against your soaked entrance.
Eijirou pushes in with a groan, his free hand finding your hips to keep them in place. Your legs thrash as he fills you up with a pleasurable burn, and by the time he bottoms out, you're positive he's filling you up all the way to your lungs.
"Fucking hell," he heaves above you, and the fingers in your mouth disappear to grasp the sheets. You shake along with him, back straightening in a poor attempt to alleviate the burn—and he barely gives you a second to breathe before he's pulling out and slamming back in.
"Fuck!"
You jump each time the head of his cock rams against your cervix, feet scrambling in a poor attempt to escape. Eijirou growls and puts all of his weight in his hips to ensure you'll stay still, a big hand smushing your face into the sheets.
"Sing for me, Sweetheart—I wanna hear ya."
Your voice cracks as Eijirou speeds up, simply using you for his own pleasure—but maybe that's what excites you the most.
"Ei—"
"'S this what you need, Sweetheart?" He spits, and you can feel the sweat dripping from his shoulders onto your exposed back. "Y'need me to use you to get off while you just lie there and take it?"
You whimper uselessly and nod, but Eijirou growls, yanking your head up for a proper answer.
"I said, don't you?"
"Fuck I—" he hikes your hips even higher for a better angle and gets one, the head of his cock forcing a scream out of your lungs as you yelp, "I do!"
"'Course you do," he chuckles, and drops your head back onto the pillow, "'Course you fuckin' do—"
"Ei-Eiji—" you gasp like you've been underwater forever. "I can't, I nee—"
"Dumb little baby can't even speak," he coos, before his hand finds the sides of your neck and squeezes. "What? Whadd'ya need, Sweetheart?"
And honestly, you're not completely sure what you need, you just know you're chasing after *something—*and Eijirou's got you sprinting after it while you melt into the sheets into a hot, gooey mess. You think the split ends of EIjirou's hair ticking the back of your arms, but you aren't sure. The only thing you are sure of is the burn between your legs and the feeling of being very, very close.
"'Mma cum!" You squeal, the vein in the side of your neck bulging. Eijirou grunts and slides a calloused hand under your stomach to play with your clit, hissing as you squeeze around him.
"Awe, the little slut's gonna cream all over my cock?" He coos, and you're positive his hips speed up just a bit. The grip on your neck slides to the hands tied behind your back for leverage. "Yeah she fuckin' is—I can see your eyes rolling back already."
And he's right, because the weight of your orgasm knocks the wind out of your lungs and your lips round to form and 'o'. You couldn't say if you screamed or not, as the ringing in your ears peaks with your orgasm. The only reason you know Eijirou finishes is because his hips stutter to a stop while you lay face down in the pillow, heart thrumming against your ribcage.
"Hey, you okay?" Eijirou nearly scrambles to get your back on your chest. You know this type of thing gets him nervous, but he does it oh so well, and there isn't much you can do but smile at the ceiling lazily.
"You just railed me into the sheets and you're asking if I'm fine?" You snort at your boyfriend's frazzled appearance—and the afterglow doesn't help, his chili red hair sticking in every other direction except the one it's supposed to.
"Yeah," Eijirou doesn't even hesitate and then gives you a quick peck on the lips. His voice edges on a petulant whine as he says, "I was rough, Sweetheart."
"Because I asked you to be," you quirk an eyebrow and finally, the redhead stumbles to your joint bathroom butt naked. "And don't forget to wet the towel this time!
A little shuffling in the bathroom, and then:
"That was one time!"
"And my vag will never recover!" You holler back. Eijirou just snorts before the white noise of a running sink takes possession of the conversation, and you scoot to the section of your shared bed that isn't soiled with a sigh.
You roll onto your side and come face to face with a framed selfie of you and Eijirou on your first date. Next to that one is first anniversary, second anniversary, third...
Now you're edging on the fifth, comfortable enough where he's walking around with his soft dick out and you've given up in swatting at his hands every time they grab for your tits. You two are comfortable—this is comfortable.
Eyeing the bathroom door, you still hear running water. Sneakily, you reach for the drawer where Eijirou keeps the the ring he doesn't know you know he hides. But frankly, you're the only one who cleans this goddamn house, so it wasn't like you weren't going to find it. You open the red velvet box to blink down at a diamond ring, thumb caressing gem. It glimmers even when the lights are low, and you can't help but be jealous of it—which is silly. You know it'll be yours anyway. The ring is always smoother than you expect it to be, but that thought doesn't last long, because you quickly toss it back into Eijirou's drawer and assume a less suspicious position upon hearing the sink turn off.
"What?" he asks with a small grin as he walks in with a wet towel in hand. "You're giving me that weird look again."
You snort, rolling your eyes before adjusting so you face the ceiling again. Spreading your legs, you demand, "'S nothing. Now clean me up, big boy."
Eijirou huffs at that but he assumes the space between your legs with a light blush. You smile.
He'll do it. When he grows the balls.

Another sunny day spent wasted in a conference room full of boring, old, conceited chairmen. Tony Stark vehemently refused to commiserate with them, their boring speeches and blunt, straightforward thinking. Sitting through a meeting was like walking on nails barefoot: painful, pointless. Mind-numbing.
His phone beeped loudly and he reached into his pocket, pretending to not see Pepper's disapproving look. Both of them knew he was hoping for a sudden Assemble call - that would surely get him out of the meeting - but as much as he hoped, they never struck at the right time.
Except, this time it wasn't a call for assistance, and neither it was an automated spam message with Pizza Hut promo codes. Tony's eyebrows drew close and his lips upturned as he read and re-read the obvious rant written on his screen, typing up his answer before he managed to resist the morbid curiosity that was fueled by his boredom.
Tumblr media
Whoever it was, they were justifiably angry and the whole situation was almost too comical to be true, except he'd known people exactly like the runaway bride, selfish, greedy and stupid. He totally understood the woman's desire to just go and load up on tequila shots somewhere - so he bid her a haste farewell, all the while snickering to himself.
"It's Rogers," Tony offered in the way of explanation to a glaring Pepper, locking his phone away and settling in to continue pretending he was listening as another old, crusty white man offered his input on topics he was too much of a dinosaur to even really know about.
He couldn't stop thinking about the incident over the days, the story making him snort more times than he could count as the memory randomly crossed his mind in the lab, at the coffee pot or during dinner. So when a message came through from that very same number, the smirk snuck up onto his face before he even read its contents.
Tumblr media
A brief crash course in memes from Parker had turned out to be more useful than ever. Irritating Rogers with pictures got old very fast, however, in moments Tony got rendered speechless they proved to be the perfect substitute for trying to articulate all his thoughts on the matter.
Celebrity appearance, she said? More likely than one would think. The engineer had nearly doubled over in a fit of laughter when she'd texted him that; obviously, the woman had no clue who she was texting with and he decided to further indulge in his curiosity by asking for her name: Friday did the rest.
A phone number and a name, ten minutes, and all her social media were free for him to stalk. Investigate- uh, observe. With little effort, Tony found both her and her brother, the unlucky groom, and the runaway bride and even her step-dad. On paper, they all looked like average middle-class families. Nothing seemed amiss.
It didn't mean anything, but Tony caught himself thinking about the woman. Perhaps it might have been the mischievous gleem in her eyes that was easily spotted in every picture or perhaps the raunchy sense of humour not much different from his own. Pretty, witty and smart - what's there not to like?
"So that's why you've been going around, smiling like a middle-schooler with a crush," Natasha's voice whisper-shouted in Tony's ear as the spy discreetly peered over his shoulder into his phone. He had the chat pulled up, debating on starting a casual conversation-
"Jesus Christ, Romanoff, somebody needs to put a bell on you," Tony snapped, startled, pressing the button to lock his phone immediately.
"Uhuh," The redhead replied, side-eyeing a snickering Barnes. "Who is she?"
Tony rubbed his face, feeling the beginnings of a blush starting to creep in. He felt like he was caught doing something he wasn't supposed to and the rest of the team acting like children wasn't helping the matter. "I got a butt-dial text about some wedding drama. Some chick's brother's fiance was fucking her own stepdad and ditched the wedding for her old man."
Stunned silence settled briefly into the room as Romanoff's eyes widened and Barnes choked on his orange juice. Serves him right, Tony thought, and continued his coffee-making process in quiet irritation.
"Wait, wait, hold on," Wilson half-laughed half-yelled. "You gotta spill the tea, man, this sounds too good to be true. Stories like that just don't fall into your hands."
With a sigh, he recounted the woman's story and read the texts aloud, silencing his snickering enough to be able to keep a straight face - but not for long, Rogers decided it was the time for another one of his Captain America Is Disappointed In You speeches and Tony himself couldn't even disagree.
Now that he thought about it, he came off as a kind of asshole. She and her family was going through something traumatic and he went and treated it like free entertainment. Which, to be fair, it was, but she didn't deserve to be treated like a circus clown. She actually seemed like a good sister and friend.
"Just text her," Natasha rolled her eyes at him, grabbing the coffee pot out of his frozen hand. "You're not Steve, you can keep a decent conversation via text."
Being compared to Steve and his pre-historic messaging habits really did a number on Tony's ego; the eyeroll he gave Romanoff was truly out of this world, all but teleporting him to his lab where he tried to find a way to approach the woman without coming off as incredibly creepy, as if the fact that he'd stalked her on social media didn't already put him firmly into the weirdo category.
Most likely, Tony would have spent many many days on overthinking before just grabbing one of his suits to make a truly impressive landing on her small balcony downtown; thankfully, fate had intervened and saved him from making another epic mistake. He'd made a note to ask Thor about it sometime, settling down with his tablet and popcorn bowl to watch TV on the team's movie night.
Or, more precisely, Tony settled in to watch the drama unfold as the various members of the team fought tooth and nail for the film that they wanted to watch. He never cared about it much, dozing off halfway through most of them - his teammates had the worst taste in movies - so he didn't bother joining the scuffle except when it was Peter's turn to pick. For obvious reasons.
"If you can't decide I'm gonna have someone else pick a movie," Natasha rolled her eyes, equally fed up with fully grown adults acting like spoiled toddlers.
With a stutter of his breath, Tony's hand reached for his phone as he had an Idea.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seconds tickled as the "typing..." bubble appeared and disappeared multiple times. She must think he's just a thirsty frat boy; Tony's brow furrowed, but the curiosity was far too strong in him. Something about her vibe, her feisty nature captivated him and kept him thinking about her.
The agreement came as a surprise. In the two minutes the woman had spent thinking up her answer, Tony prepared himself to be rebuffed gently, or, worst case, be called a creep. But no - she agreed, but not before vehemently insisting that if he would end up being a creepy serial killer, she would haunt his ass for the remainder of his life.
Friday couldn't come soon enough. Tony spent most of the day loitering between his lab and the penthouse, glancing at his phone every now and then to make sure she wouldn't cancel on him last minute. The engineer wanted to see the witty, no-filter-having woman in the flesh.
And see her, he did. He'd pulled up in front of the hole-in-the wall Ramen&Bar place Clint had been raving about weeks prior - contrary to popular belief, Tony was perfectly fine with going to places that didn't have Michelin stars - and leaned against the door of his Audi R8, eyes immediately taking note of the figure calmly walking down the street, head tilted down where she was typing up a reply to him.
Tony smirked as she lifted her face up to see him, mouth immediately falling open. The shock was obvious; it lasted mere seconds until her shoulders dropped and she sighed almost... In disappointment. He frowned.
"I jinxed it, didn't I? Here's my celebrity appearance," The laugh was a little nervous and quite sardonic. "Hi, Tony, nice to finally see you."
He smiled, unsure, quipping back easily. "Let's face it, I'm not the worst famous Tony out there." Opening the door of the building for the woman, she stepped in eagerly enough, eyes immediately falling on the bartender and the few dimly lit tables in the back.
"Not by any means," She turned towards him, walking backwards. Tony met her stare; it was just like he'd imagined it to be, curious, mischievous and a little daring. She didn't even attempt to play subtle, raking over him from head to toe. "Not at all, I think," She gave another teasing smile, finally turning around, addressing the bartender and rattling off her order without as much as looking at the menu.
Tony couldn't stop staring. He was aware it was creepy, she was aware of his clever brown eyes barely paying attention to their surroundings or the beer or the food. The woman just quirked an eyebrow every time she caught him. His curiosity couldn't wait any more. "Why aren't you freaking out?" He blurted out, cursing himself out almost immediately after the words left his mouth.
"My almost-sister-in-law was fucking her own stepdad," The woman deadpanned. "I ran out of fucks to give, sorry." She thoughtfully chewed her food, briefly looking to the side. "Not to sound like an asshole, but don't you have enough people fawning over you? Doesn't it get old?"
Tony nodded, choosing to stay silent on the matter besides offering an amicable, "That's valid."
The mischief lit up again in her eyes. "You look taller on TV," She snorted, immediately falling into a fit of laughter at his face full of outrage. He sputtered, muttering something about audacity of some people, which made her only laugh harder. "Here's a pro tip from my 4'11 bestie: when someone calls you short, you snarl at them and say you're fun-sized. She swears by it," The woman remarked conversationally, grinning a two hundred watt smile.
Tony was glad at least someone was enjoying their little... Date. "And you know all about fun, don't you?" He aimed for grumpy; it came out as teasing. His famous smirk made a return appearance as he watched her throat bob.
The atmosphere between them had changed at some point; the same old routine of teasing and dancing around each other, but this time, Tony all but purred in satisfaction, finally meeting someone who was an even match to his wit and charm.
"I do," She replied with that cocky confidence, her devil eyes lighting up, lingering on his face. "Got a problem with that?"
The plate was pushed away, napkin falling into the food carelessly as he gestured for the waiter to bring the check. "As a scientist, I cannot confirm whether a theory is true until I have direct evidence," The bullshit flowed easily from his mouth, but the woman appeared to be amused by it - for a change. "M'fraid I'm gonna need that evidence," His fingers drummed on the table, impatiently, inches away from her hand.
"Of course, Mr. Stark," Her voice dropped, she was fully aware of what she was doing by calling him that. That, and those deep, magnetic eyes made Tony's trousers feel a little too tight for comfort.
His phone rang loudly, dissipating the atmosphere they had created with a shrill noise. Captain Cockblock struck again.
Fumbling fingers, Tony tapped the green icon, shooting an apologetic look to the woman. "Rogers, there better be another alien invasion or I'm revoking your phone privileges," The woman chortled, taking a sip of her beer, trying hard not to seem like she was listening in and failing spectacularly at it. "Today, out of all days? Can't Strange fill in for me?" The engineer palmed his face, running a hand through his neatly done-up hair. It would be covered in soot and sweat in an hour anyways. "Fine, I'll be there in twenty minutes. Romanoff better be hauling Barton's lazy ass out of Bed-Stuy." With a frown, Tony poked the red icon and stuffed the phone back in his pocket, looking for all and all, like an angry adolescent.
The woman, however, didn't indicate any signs of displeasure. Her hand timidly reached out for his, giving it a brief squeeze. "Go, save the world, Mr. Stark," Her smile was sympathetic. They both stood up at the same time, Tony watching her incredulously as the woman untied a scrap of red fabric from around her neck and placed it around his wrist, tying the fabric with a loose but, frankly, pretty knot. "I like that bandanna, would be a shame if you didn't return it," She explained, shrugging her shoulders.
Tony snorted, fondly rolling his eyes, before beelining for the door, activating his Iron Man suit on the way out. Turning around before take off, he noticed her throw a couple of crumpled bills to the server who was too busy ogling him.
He forgot to pay for dinner, Tony realized as he made his way to the other part of the city. Well, fuck, he would definitely have to see her again.
---
An alien invasion during her first good date in ages - scribble, scribble, sigh. She couldn't do much more than that - just as she thought her string of bad luck had ended, the world turned around and flipped her a juicy bird, all but laughing straight in her face. Like that already wasn't enough, oh no, she groused as she spied the debris and random abandoned cars on her way home - it looked like some portion of the battle had been close to her home and only the sheer mental exhaustion that resulted from her life being turned upside down during the last month prevented her from having a full-on freak-out in the middle of the eerily quiet street.
Truly, the fucks she had to give had been expired.
The gloomy mood was interrupted by a cry - for help or of outrage, she didn't know, but the kindness in her, the very values she'd been raised with didn't allow her just to walk by, and with another resigned sigh, she tucked the nice blouse she'd put on for the date under her warm sweater and set off in the direction of the sound, finding the culprit in little under a couple of minutes.
Freeing the trapped civilian wasn't easy but, thankfully, neither it required super-strength or any kind of heavy machinery. The man thanked her and with him in tow, both of them set off to inspect nearby nooks and crannies. Logic won that day - if there's was one person, there could be more.
Hours later, sweaty, sore and bruised, the woman greedily chugged the water bottle someone had passed onto her as the amount of medics and firefighters had finally reached the threshold of when her help wasn't needed anymore. While her date and his colleagues fought whatever nasty that thought NYC was a sandbox battleground for their amusement, the woman found herself helping out with retrieval & evacuation of the civilians that didn't make it out of the neighborhood before the heat of the fight reached it. There were no deaths registered as of then and deep inside, she felt proud, knowing that she had contributed to the statistic at least a little.
Tumblr media
Her phone was dying, her body was covered in dirt and scratches from head to toe and the bruises were beginning to ache. Tony's worry-worting was cute but the tiredness overcame her, making her brain sluggish and her demeanor short, so she hastily pocketed the phone, trailing over to the closest man in uniform she could spot.
"Sir?" She addressed him, eyeing the unfamiliar logo on his jacket. "Can I go, please?" She pointed to the yellow tape surrounding the makeshift medical station.
"I'm going to have to see your ID first," He replied apologetically, tapping away on his tablet.
With a sigh, she dug through her purse, giving it to him and using the brief moment of respite to smooth back her hair and dust off her clothing. There was a cloud of concrete and dirt surrounding her.
"I'm afraid I can't let you go just yet, Mr. Stark left strict instructions for you to be picked up by him personally," The agent gave the ID back with a suspicious glint in his eye.
"Oh c'mon," The annoyed whine escaped her lips before she registered it. "It was our first date," She offered to the puzzled agent, only succeeding in making him lean back and inspect her with a raised eyebrow. "Bye," She replied none too kindly, walking off to find a place to sit down.
The time passed in a strange way. The aches and pains and exhaustion made it stop, and if someone would have asked her, she wouldn't know how much of it has passed until her eyes reluctantly cracked open at the sound of a familiar voice, coming to see a pair of expensive shoes covered in dust. At least she wasn't the only one that looked like she'd taken a roll through someone's gritty attic.
"Morning, you Tasmanian Devil," Tony sounded jovial, all things considered.
"Hello to you too, Tin Can," The woman greeted him on par, without missing a beat.
"Now, now," He offered her his hand, which she took gratefully, before pulling her to her feet. "I come with peace offerings. Your building is under quarantine and I've got a perfectly good bed and a shower with thirty settings on it at my place. Whatcha say?"
She only pretended to think about it. Her reply was haste. "I don't make a habit of going into strange dudes' towers but I'll make an exception this once." A shower and a bed sounded heavenly.
Finally getting the chance to look at him, Tony appeared to be unhurt but equally exhausted and dirty. A few scrapes on his face and arms, he was missing his blazer, and had a weary tone to his face. Some parts of his Iron Suit were still on him - like the chest plate - but besides that, he was whole. The red of the bandanna she gave him was equally dirty but still neatly tied around his wrist, just like she left it.
"How's your relationship with heights?" He asked her and all she could do was blink, watching curiously as his body was enveloped by the red and gold, crawling over his skin like a swarm of shiny termites. That was all the warning she got before the metal arms - quite literally - sweeped her off her feet. "Faster this way," She could hear the nonchalant shrug in the metallic voice coming from the helmet. "Now hold on."
Awe and fear culminated inside the woman but the weariness had long since surpassed comfortable levels and all she did was give a weak nod and close her eyes as Tony lifted off, gusts of wind making her skin break out in goosebumps and her hair stand up wildly on her head. During the short trip her eyes fluttered open only once just to close back up immediately - all she saw were clouds, white and fluffy, like marshmallows, and the shining beacons of NYC skyscrapers somewhere far away.
The paralyzing anxiety fully dissipated only when her feet found purchase on the tiled floors, Tony's arms never ceasing to support her swaying frame until the breaths she took were her own and not the result of her fluttering heart and muted panic. "You with me, Wonder Woman?"
"Yes, Weird Science," She mumbled. "Thanks for the heads up," The annoyance had to find a way out and that it did.
"You're welcome," The cocky smirk returned to Tony's face as his suit receded, leaving him barefoot, dirty jeans and a torn tee. He stretched with a sweet groan, gesturing towards the door. "Friday will direct you towards the showers. Feel free to grab a t-shirt from the closet."
The woman nodded, too awestruck by the man and his hospitality, eyes darting all over the tastefully decorated room, the expensive knick-knacks scattered everywhere, the absolutely enormous sloppily made bed. Tony Stark liked to live luxuriously - even the shower was a state of the art technological wonder.
Dirty pants and dusty blouse went flying somewhere in the back of the bathroom as the woman stood up on her tippy toes, reaching for the sky, stretching her sore muscles. The glass wall of the shower had began to fog up from the hot water. The knock went barely noticed by the woman who jumped as Tony's voice startled her out of her daydream.
"Forgot I ran out of towels here..." He trailed off, voice dropping as he spotted her only in her underwear. She turned, responding with a lopsided grin, spying the stack of fluffy grey in his arms, the arc reactor in the middle of his bare chest. He smirked, "Damn. Can I join you?" Giving her what only could be described as a respectful once-over.
Tired as she was, her sense of humour and wit didn't go down for a much needed nap just yet. "I don't know, you tell me. Can you?" Turning back around, the woman made a short show of unclasping her bra and tossing it in the general vicinity of her dirty clothing pile. She'd worn a cute matching set of undies that day and the fact didn't go over Tony's head, she was sure.
The door clicked shut just as she raised her face to the stream of water, feeling calmer with each second, muscles relaxing themselves as the hot stream washed away the dirt and the dust off her body.
"And I thought this evening was ruined," Tony's voice insinuated from behind her. A hand reached for the soap, his body heat scorching compared to the steaming water. He stayed just a few inches away, enough to feel him, enough for her body to respond and crave more. "It's nice to be wrong for a change. Refreshing."
The woman hummed, reaching up to run her fingers through her wet, knotted hair. "First decent evening in ages. I wasn't gonna let some uninvited Predator knock-offs ruin it for me," She was more than a little peeved at the space invaders interrupting her nice date. Tony was a great conversationalist, it was easy to talk to him and he had a brilliant sense of humour. Not to mention the obvious, he was easy on the eyes.
"That's the spirit," The voice was closer now, almost in her ear. Even though her eyes were closed, the woman was aware he was reaching for something, letting him butt her hands out of the way to lather her hair, scrubbing at her scalp meticulously, until the sounds that left her mouth bordered on embarrassing. Once that was done, Tony moved onto her body, running his hands over her back, the outside of her hips. "M'not stepping over, am I?" He asked quietly, touch faltering every time he brushed over a scrape or a bruise.
"No, you're doing great, Tony," It wasn't exactly conventional - sharing a very intimate shower after an interrupted first date, but then again, nothing about this man was conventional and her life had already been turned upside down no less than twice recently. The woman didn't lie, the gentle, caring touch felt soothing.
Arching her back, she lifted her arms to repay him with the same, raking her fingers through his hair, leaning into the shudder that ran throughout his body. It was nice to bask in whatever they had going on, so the motion to face him was almost reluctant. Water droplets stuck to his eyelashes and his eyes were tired but not in a way that suggested he'd kick her out first chance.
Their kiss was sweet, slow, like they already were familiar with each other in a special way. The woman tugged on his lip with her teeth - such was her character - and he pressed closer to her, raising a hand to hold the side of her face. In muted curiosity, she couldn't help but wonder if there ever had been someone that waited for him once his battles were over.
Tony's eyelashes, the very same that had no business being this long on a man, fluttered against her cheek as they stood under the shower, letting water wash away the day.
"I've always wanted to kiss in the rain, like they do in the movies. This is the closest I've gotten," She whispered, gently kneading the arch of his shoulders. "Feels better than it looks, to be honest."
Tony snorted, reaching for the knob to turn it off. "Cheesy," He teased her, wrapping a warm, fluffy towel around her body. Both people made quick work of drying themselves, exiting the fogged up bathroom, making way into the bedroom, padding soft on the carpet and falling down on the bed carelessly.
"I'm the queen of cheesy one-liners," The woman raised her eyebrows, scooting under the sheets next to Tony who opened his arms wide, a smirk on his face. She didn't give him the chance to reply, slotting her lips over his instead and groaning as their heated bodies once again rested against each other.
She ran her hands over Tony's defined pecs, glossing over the arc reactor, raked nails over his tummy, eating up the sighs leaving his mouth at the gesture. He was a beautiful man, she wasn't going to lie to herself. The warmth that settled low in her belly grew, spreading throughout her limbs and temporarily overshadowing the exhaustion.
The engineer, too, was quite excited - his erection poked her hip - and content to be steered to her wishes by the hand in his hair. Groans and sighs left his moist, parted lips as his eagerness bled into his hands, grip firm and steady on the panting woman's hips.
Adrenaline did something to her body, caused it to ache sweetly, a hunger to be satisfied only by a lover's touch. And touch she did; her mouth tasted him, alternating sucking gentle marks onto his throat and nibbling on the skin stretched thinly over his collarbones. Tony's sighs grew in depth and volume with every silent action of worship.
No inch of his body was left untouched, the woman was an all-hands-on-deck kind of lover, happily making her way down until soft lips wrapped around the crown of his cock, making his hips arch into it, hands fisted in the soft white sheets. "You devil," Tony gasped out, limbs turning to jelly, watching the woman all but devour his cock.
She popped off minutely, a trail of sticky saliva running down her chin, sticking to his glistening cock. "The power of Christ compels me?" With a smirk, her tongue trailed from his balls to the very tip, paying extra attention to the frenulum, making Tony shudder and gasp out an embarrassed laugh.
"Uh-uh," Stripped of his usual snark, he was but a man at her mercy.
"It's not very compelling," The predatory stretch of her lips widened as she took mercy on him, giving his cock a few slow tugs with her hand. Her mouth, her hand and his cock were dripping. "Gonna let me do all the legwork, Mr. Stark?" She sat up straighter, inadvertently drawing his eyes to the apex of her thighs where the woman's sex glistened in the dim light, lips swollen and inviting.
It sounded like she was mocking him, teasing him, egging him into a lustful frenzy none of them had the energy for but craved anyway. Tony Stark wasn't the one to back down from a fair challenge so he relented, flipping them over with ease, landing between her spread legs, eyes drawn to the momentary bounce of her breasts. Tony wasted no time in suckling a hard nipple into his mouth, humming in response to her choked-off moan of surprise.
"Tony," Her body arched into his touch, tender skin hot under the callouses on his fingertips.
"Yes, demon, dear?" A lopsided grin and laughter in his eyes preceded the wet stripe Tony licked down to her navel. "Wasn't there something about not telling demons your name? Guess you have power over me now," He trailed off cheekily, soft breaths puffing over her mound.
The woman bit her lip, peering down to rake a hand through Tony's hair, snagging a fistful to gently steer him towards her pussy. Tony's smile was one of satisfaction as he obediently followed her silent order, nosing along the line of her cunt, dipping his tongue to run slow, sloppy lines through the soaked folds.
"Fuck," She mumbled, spreading her legs without shame. "Yeah, right there," Her fingers turned white at the agility of Tony's tongue on her clit. He was swift and relentless in pursuit of the spots that made her moan and clench around nothing. The moisture of her sex soaked his goatee but he couldn't care less.
He growled when she attempted to withdraw, wrapping his muscular arms around her thighs to keep her still for his pleasure, wringing noises that increased in volume with every stroke of his tongue on her sex.
"Tony- please, Tony, I'm gonna-" The warning was brief; her back arched as a broken moan found its way past her moist, parted lips, her pussy spasmed, dripping all over his face and the sheets.
The engineer hid his smile against her thigh, discreetly wiping the obscene amounts of moisture she produced. It wasn't very long until her hands, slightly shaky, were tugging him upwards to meet his face in a rushed, graceless kiss. There was an equal lack of finesse in the glide of his erection along her sex.
"Okay?" He mumbled into her ear, lining himself up with her fluttering cunt.
"Please," She gasped, her hands pushing his hips onto her, eagerly lifting up to accept the sweet intrusion.
There was a quiet stutter in both of their breathing, hearts thudding against their ribs as he finally bottomed out, the thickness of him nestled snugly inside the rippling muscle. The pace he started out was agonizingly slow and inexplicably sweet, neither of them wanting to end their coupling prematurely but not being able to hold back the need that consumed them both.
"Fuck, you're so good to me," Tony's mumbling was overshadowed by the slick sounds coming from the place they were joined. "Gonna fill up this pretty pussy."
The woman keened at the idea, digging her nails into his ass, pulling him further into her.
"You'd like that?" He picked up the pace, blunt tip of his cock catching up with the tail end of her previous orgasm and re-lighting the fire in her belly anew.
"Yeah, Tony, please," No trace of the previous coyness in her voice, the woman was more than ready to beg, murder and steal to feel the man come undone in her arms.
It didn't take long, not with the adrenaline making their blood sing and the chemistry they shared. The brutal pace of Tony's hips quickly grew sloppy and erratic, the tightening of her inner muscles egging him on. He chased his release with deep, powerful thrusts that had the bedsheets rustle pitifully and beads of clear swear drip down his forehead.
As soon as her body arched once more, Tony let go of his control, slotting himself deeply into her spasming heat, cock throbbing as he painted her insides white with his seed, groaning incomprehensible compliments and profanities through his teeth. Chest heaving, the engineer couldn't do much more but let himself carefully fall onto her chest, aftershocks making him twitch when the woman began running a gentle hand through his hair.
"We're doing this again," He decided, still breathless but already a step ahead. She laughed.

Tumblr media
Not everyone in this world deserves to be loved. I am one of those little number of unfortunate people.
I could feel the numb pain in my stomach, feeling like I am going to throw up, going back and forth between feeling nothing and being unable to stop the tears. All I  could think about was if this is really the end. I picked up my pace, now breaking into a fast jog towards Taehyung's house. Tears we're rapidly streaming down my face, uncontrollable at this point. I sprinted through the apartment complex, my legs moving as quickly as they could to get to him. I wiped my face with my sleeve as I got to his floor, a failed attempt to make myself look slightly okay.
I knew Taehyung would see right past these attempts though, he'll quickly understand that I've been sobbing with one glance in my direction. He knew me too well. After knocking on the door, there was a faint thud before someone cautiously opened the door. Taehyung stood there, slightly disheveled with the smell of alcohol dripping off of him. Right, Saturday means Taehyung gets shit faced every night. Although intoxicated, he quickly realised I wasn't okay. "What happened? Did someone hurt you? Do I need to go and fight someone?" He slurred slightly, stepping outside. I chuckled, placing a hand on his chest and pushing him back into the apartment before he got the both of us locked out.
"How many have you drank?" I asked, going to the kitchen and grabbing a water bottle to give him. My legs were threatening to give out, but he should property drink something besides alcohol before he puts himself in a coma. I walked over to where he sat on the couch, handing him the water bottle before going to pick up bottles. Sure, drinking was absolutely terrible and Taehyung may have developed a problem. I just never comment on it because we all have our own ways of dealing with things, not all of them being good. After cleaning up his expensive ass apartment, I went to sit down with him. He was quietly watching TV, taking interest in some show that showed people getting hurt. He was slowly sipping his water, showing barely any interest in the almost full bottle he held in his hand.
"Tae, I asked, how many have you drank?" I asked again. "I counted like 10 while cleaning up." Taehyung didn't say anything, just shrugging as he propped his feet up on the ottoman. I sighed, following his actions and getting comfortable. It must be nice to have an apartment to yourself and not be stuck in a crammed dorm room with another person. Must be nice to not go to school and struggle everyday. Nice to not have your heart broken on the day of your anniversary. Without noticing, a small sob fell from my lips, catching Taehyung's attention instantly. Worry was written across his face as he peered over to me, one eyebrow raised.
"What happened?" He mumbled, moving to wrap one arm around me. He held me close to him, a mix of his cologne and alcohol filling my nose. "He broke up with me." I mumbled, another sob falling from my lips. I wrapped my arms around Taehyung's toned torso, hugging him like there was no tomorrow. "Isn't it your anniversary? Didn't you text me earlier today about everything?" He asked gently, trying not to make it seem like a big deal. Another sob fell, making him realise that maybe it wasn't a good idea to pull on that string. He sighed, moving so he could easily pull me into his lap. I quickly straddled him in order to bury my face in his neck.
My arms still held onto his torso as he wrapped his arms around me. He must've closed the water bottle and tossed it aside sometime earlier, deciding it was more important to comfort me. So, how the hell did a broke college student become best friends with one of the youngest CEOs in Seoul? It honestly still amazes me that we're even still friends, that I get the pleasure of being his best friend. He's everything you'd want in a person. Caring, beautiful, fit despite his work schedule, one of most hardworking people you'll ever meet.
We've been friends since we were teens, simple freshmen stuck together for a lab experiment. Thinking back on it, it's sort of funny because the first thing he ever said was I like your shirt. I smiled slightly, thinking back on the fond memories. Taehyung and I are some of the closest of people, and we're always joined at the hip when we aren't busy. I mean, we grew up together, figured out college together, lost our virginity to each other. I chuckled slightly thinking about it. Two teens frustrated and scared to lose it to someone who didn't know us. It just sort of played out one night, safe word established quickly since Taehyung was so worried. Taehyung shuffled slightly under me.
"What are you laughing about, Miss?" He teased, jabbing my sides. He's always loved fucking with me, and knew how to get on my nerves in just a few attempts. I decided to lie, figuring that, if he even remembered that night, he wouldn't want to hear about it. I shrugged, shoving my face into his neck further. "I was thinking about science when we were paired together." I said, my focus going to my shirt that was riding up slightly. Taehyung paid no attention to it, his hands resting on the bare skin of my back.
"Ugh, don't remind me." He laughed before mocking himself. "I like your shirt." I laughed, shaking my head at him. I sat up, my hands placed on his chest. He seemed tired, but sobering up a bit. His hands released my torso, going to wipe the tears off my cheeks. I smiled slightly before climbing off his lap and standing back up. "Finish drinking your water." I said, tossing the bottle over to where he was sitting. I walked into his living room, opening up the fridge and seeing what was there. I shrugged, settling on leftover takeout I'm assuming was from the shop near his work. I tossed it into the microwave before calling out to Taehyung.
"Do you want anything?" I asked, waiting for a response. "You." A small reply came, unsure and small compared to his normal loud ass. I laughed at him before asking the question once more. He simply said nothing, stating he wasn't hungry. He usually isn't when he drinks anyway. I took the takeout out, walking back into the living room. I sat and ate, making sure not to spill anything because I definitely couldn't afford to buy him a new one. This couch is probably my salary, the boy's got money. "Are you okay?" He asked, reaching over to rub my thigh. "Didn't I tell you he was a dick though? You should date better people. Like me."
I laughed at him, playfully swatting his hand away from me. I went back to my food, not paying attention to the hand creeping up towards my thigh once more. He rubbed his hand up my thighs once more, smiling slightly. "Taehyung, you're drunk." I mumbled, shoving food into my mouth once more.
Taehyung moved once more, placing his hand on my arm. Whines immediately came from me, complaining about the food and expensive couch. "Taehyung, I'm going to spill this on your couch and you're going to be mad at me" I threatened. "Fuck it. I can buy a new one." He mumbled, reaching up to smack the food out of my hand. I jerked my arm away, setting the tray down on the coffee table. "No you can't you drunk cunt." I mumbled, jumping over and pulling him down on the couch. I curled up under his arm, my face buried in his chest while I placed my arm on his side. He smiled, looking up at the TV after placing a kiss on my forehead. He held me closer, and continued to hold me until I drifted off to sleep.
∆∆∆
The sound of shuffling woke me up, my eyes barely adjusting to the bright light. Taehyung was shuffling next to me, struggling to get up. I let out a small grunt, moving so he could easily stand up. He apologized before running off to what I assumed was the bathroom. I smashed myself into the corner of the couch, trying to gain back the warmth that just left. Taehyung's chuckles filled the room as he passed by the living room, walking into the kitchen. He was probably going to go grab pain killers and a water. He waltzed back to the couch, plopping down. I let out a small grunt of disapproval.
"Come on, go and do your classes." He said, pulling me by my shirt towards him. He's always used his strength to do whatever, and it gets annoying every now and then. "Would you stop pulling me around like a ragdoll?" I said, rolling over to look at him. He had a smirk on his face, missing his shirt that he was previously wearing. "Go get a shirt on" I said. "No." He said, dropping a water bottle and laying down. I rolled over, cuddling into his warm embrace. His golden skin always give off warmth, and god I loved it. "Shouldn't you have classes to attend?" Taehyung asked, wrapping his arms around me. I rolled my eyes at him, wondering how stupid he has to be to not understand.
"I just got my heart broken yesterday, why would I want to do anything?" I mumbled, "I just want comfort and to rest for awhile." Taehyung nodded, holding me. He mumbled something that I didn't quite catch, but I was too lazy to ask what he said. "Why do you date douchebags? I mean, they don't give you the love you deserve and end up breaking your heart. You should find someone that actually cares about you." He mumbled, tangling his legs with mine. "Why does it matter to you Taehyung?" I asked, looking up at him.
"Because you come to my apartment at like 3 am sobbing usually. And you shouldn't even be out at that time, with someone else or alone for that matter. It's not safe. And you deserve better." He mumbled. "Would you stop worrying about that? I'll be okay." I could barely even finish my sentence when Taehyung crashed his lips onto mine, our lips molding together within seconds. Taehyung pulled away slightly, attaching his lips on to my jaw. My breath hitched, hands moving to grab at his arms.
"Taehyung, I don't think this is a good idea." I mumbled, his movements coming to a stop and his body stiffing. "I just mean we're probably just confused and I just broke up and you're a famous CEO hooking up with a college st-" I knew if I asked, he would immediately stop. It's not that I was afraid of him doing something stupid, I was afraid of the underlying feelings I had for my best friend. The feelings that make me want to cherish and love him just as much as have him fuck my brains out.
"Tell me y/n, do you really think I don't notice?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "Think I don't notice the looks you give me when you think I'm not paying attention? You rubbing together your thighs when you're around me?". "Taehyung I still don't think-", "You don't think this is a good idea because you're afraid. You'll have a real man now, someone that will love and appreciate you as well as please you? Listen, I have no problem with that as long as you return it." He mumbled, moving over to whisper in my ear. "Do you know how much you affect me?"
He licked my ear, sucking slightly causing me to whimper. My eyes were screwed shut, head cocked to side. He climbed around so he could be on top, grinding our hips together slightly. His bulge rubbed against my thigh, rock hard. "Taehyung-", "Waste it on me y/n. Your love, please just this once. You waste it on everyone else, so why not me? Why not your best friend that's in love? Please, it's not going to hurt if it's just once." He mumbled, locking eyes with me. "Taehyung-", "Daddy." He corrected, is he serious right now?? He wants me to fill in his kinks now??
"Taehy-", "Did you not hear me babygirl?" He said, staring down at me. I gripped his torso, wondering how the hell I got myself into this situation. How I ended up here, with him. "Daddy, please." I said, coming out more whiny than I expected. He smirked slightly, a look of confidence flushing over his face. "What babygirl? Tell me so I can please you." He said, moving so his face was a mere millimeters away. "Kiss me."
He did, quickly getting rid of the space in between us. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer to me. My hands tangled in his hair, pulling slightly. His hips slightly rolled into mine, pulling a moan from the both of us. Taehyung's hands slipped down, running up and down my sides, stopping to squeeze slightly. His hands found their way to my ass, squeezing and rubbing. "Daddy~" I whined, rolling my hips up into his. He let out a small groan, moving to place hot, open mouthed kisses all along my neck. He stopped to suck a small bruise here and there, making sure to leave his mark.
His hands slipped into my shirt, squeezing my sides. I giggled slightly, jerking away from the ticklish action. Taehyung smiled up at me before slipping my shirt up and eventually over my head. My arms instinctively went to cover my skin, Taehyung clicking his tongue slightly. "Come on babe, don't make me tie you up." He mocked, smirking at me. My eyes widened slightly, taking Taehyung back for a moment. "God, I don't remember a freak in highschool.", "Oh my God. Please don't." I said, staring at him. He's referring to losing our virginity to each other, embarrassing.
"So shy and innocent-", "I don't remember such a cocky shit in the bedroom either? You think you've gotten better?" I challenged. "I know I've gotten better." He answered. He's so full of himself. "Whoever cums first, loses." I challenged, staring up at him. He looked taken back. I smiled, sitting up in order to push him back on the couch. I straddled him, sitting on his hips as I took my bra off and tossed it somewhere across the room. Taehyung's hands flew up, squeezing and pinching what he could manage. I let out a small whine when he took a sensitive bud in between his fingers, twisting it roughly. My hips involuntary rolled, Taehyung's hips jerking up. I moved, going to pull on his shorts. The more I pulled down, I realized he wasn't wearing any underwear.
"This was your plan all morning?" I questioned. "Nope, just when I seen you over here looking like a fresh baked snack." He said, making me laugh at how stupid he was. I rolled my eyes, kissing his hips slightly. Once his shorts were off, he wasted no time kicking them halfway across the room. I giggled slightly, laying down on the couch so I was level with his cock. Taehyung threw his head back, his breathing becoming uneven. I licked a long stripe from bottom to top, stopping at the top to flick my tongue along his tip. I slowly wrapped my lips around his tip, sinking down slightly before coming back up. I took inch by inch until he hit the back of my throat, sinking down a bit more before coming up. A low moan fell from Taehyung as I swallowed around him, his hips involuntary bucked up into my mouth.
I fought off my gag reflex, hallowing my cheeks around him. I let him face fuck me, his hands roughly controlling my head to please himself. A loud whine fell from him, grabbing my hair and pulling my head up an off. He wrapped his fingers around his base, squeezing. Once he calmed down, he looked up at me. "Okay Miss, your turn." He said before basically pouncing on me. Our lips connected in a rush, molding together as his hands slipped into my jeans. He popped open the buttons with ease, sliding my jeans down my legs. His warms hands squeezed my thighs, coming up to link his fingers with my lace panties.
He pulled away from the kiss, locking eyes with me quickly before sinking down. He gently pulled off the lace, tossing it aside. After a bit, he nipped at my thigh, sucking a bruise. He continued nipping at my thighs, making me get more and more impatient. "Daddy! Please!" I whined, my hips bucking up. He moved, licking a long stripe. I whined as me began sucking on my clit, flicking his tongue every now and then. My hands were buried in his hair, resisting the urge to crush his head with my thighs.
I felt Taehyung's smirk, wrapping his arms around my thighs and pinning me down. I bucked my hips into his mouth, a low moan falling from my lips. "Taehyung, slow down." I whined, my legs shaking in his arms. He did, slowing down his tongue flicks. He let go one of my legs, moving his finger to me gently. Slowly, he pushed his finger in knuckle deep. I couldn't fight the loud moan that fell from me.
"God I fucking love your thighs." He mumbled, drawing circles where one of his arms was still wrapped around me. "So thick and full, so much better than the sticks that throw themselves at me." A small laugh came from me, shaking my head at him. "I'm sure you've had plenty of those sticks in here." He shook his head, drawing his finger out slowly before pushing it back in. I grabbed his wrist, positioning it a bit differently and told him to curl his fingers next time. He followed, hitting exactly where I needed him to. My whole body jerked, making him smile up at me.
"Fuck I've missed you." Taehyung groaned, talking to himself more than anything. I wasn't sure if he meant me, or my heat. I decided not to ask, not wanting to get hurt over something so stupid. His fingers picked up their pace, hitting exactly where I told him. Moans fell from my lips, my head thrown back as I held onto his head. Slowly, I felt an orgasm coming upon me. "Taehyung!" I whined, grabbing his arm and jerking him away. He could easily continue, overpower me completely with just one hand. But Taehyung isn't like that. He became instantly worried."Are you okay? Did I hurt you? Do you want to stop?" He asked, panic striking him from all sides.
I laughed, sitting up. I pulled him to me, kissing him as deeply as I could. "No, you're okay. Just, a bit overwhelming." I smiled. He nodded, sitting up. "Is it okay if I continue, I need to stretch you out. I'd hate to hurt you." He said, slightly hesitant with each word he spoke. "Of course. And what happened to the man that was just so cocky seconds ago?" I asked, teasing him. He scoffed, continuing. He started with one finger, slowly adding a second and beginning a scissoring motion.
Small moans fell from me, gripping his arm where I was able to. Looking down, Taehyung still wore his arrogant smile. After he deemed me stretched and ready enough, he sat up and in between my thighs. He looked around for a few seconds, for what I'm assuming is for a condom or something like that. "No condom." I mumbled, making his attention snap back over to me. His cheeks were slightly flushed and eyes full of concern and slight worry. "I'm on the pill." I reassured. "Yeah, but that's not a 100% you won't get pregnant." Taehyung mumbled, still worried. I laughed, shaking my head at him.
"It's pretty damn close, but if you're really that scared go find one. I'll be here waiting for you." I teased, watching his eyes narrow at me slightly. I giggled as he pounced on top of me, pinning my arms above my head with ease. A small smirk grew on my face as I nibbled slightly on his earlobe. "Daddy, please fuck me." Taehyung couldn't resist anymore, positioning himself before easily sliding in. He let out a loud grunt as he bottomed out, his head falling into my neck. "Fuck, when's the last time you've had sex?"
"What? What do you mean?" I asked, slightly panicking at his question. Taehyung slowly pushed himself up, sitting back on his legs with my thighs in his palms. I propped myself up on my elbows, watching as he slowly slid out before slamming back into me. I jolt of pleasure shot throughout my body. "You haven't been fucked in awhile, no? You're so tight." Taehyung said, placing on of my legs over his shoulder to give him better access. I let out a loud moan as he picked up his pace, gaining a steady and rather quick rhythm. Taehyung was letting out small grunts, his face becoming sweaty and his bangs sticking to his forehead.
"Ah, Taehyung" I whined, grabbing onto his arm as he pounded into me. He scoffed, leaning forward to nail my g-spot. He was folding me in half, basically. "I'll let that one slip, babygirl. But next time you're getting punished." He growled, crashing his lips onto mine while still maintaining his thrusts. As the kiss became rougher, so did his thrusts. The sound of skin hitting skin soon filled the room accompanied by moans. Taehyung's grip was harsh, holding onto my waist and thighs like it was the only thing keeping him alive. I could barely see straight anymore, pleasure washing over me. I smiled, remembering something Taehyung was absolutely weak for. I reached up, taking one of his sensitive buds in between my fingers and flicking it roughly.
He let out a throaty groan, head falling forward slightly. He was focusing on his thrusts, speeding up and slamming harder than before. Profanities spilt from the both of us, gripping onto whatever we could to keep us in place. "Fuck, I'm going to cum." Taehyung moaned, making me smirk up at him. I mumbled a small, then I win. His head shot up, completely forgetting about the dumb bet set long ago. His fingers went straight to my clit, roughly stimulating me. I yelped, holding onto his wrist for dear life while clamping down around him.
His thrusts we're sloppy and more desperate than before, quickly reaching his high. With a few lasts thrusts and moans, he came deep inside of me. As soon as he came, the stimulation caught up and sent me flying over. Bolts of pleasure shot throughout me, my toes curling and head thrown back into the sofa. I ripped Taehyung's fingers away from me, becoming too sensitive. He smirked, sliding his fingers into my mouth. I licked them, rolling my tongue in between. He watched, shaking his head.
My body was shaking, something Taehyung was quick to notice. He laid his body weight on top of me, kissing me with the most passion he ever has. The shaking came to an eventual stop, both of us relaxing for a few seconds. "Well, I guess we both lost." I mumbled, not really knowing how to not make this awkward. Taehyung laughed, shaking his head violently.
"Let's not do that weird thing where you think I'm going to suddenly leave you." He smiled, running his hands up and down my thighs. "I'll go run us a bath." He got up, jogging into the bathroom. I heard water turn on followed by a few drawers opening. After a few moments, he came back and scooped me up into his arms bridle style, making me laugh. Taehyung sat down first, then helping me sit down in between his legs. I let out a small hum, leaning against his torso and relaxing. "You know Taehyung, this is really nice." I smiled, letting him trace little patterns onto my shoulders and chest.
He smiled, kissing my shoulder gently. "Your girlfriend is going to be so lucky, she just doesn't know it yet.", "Well um, I was actually hoping you'd be my girlfriend. And I mean like, official official like dating and going out and doing things together." He laughed, "Not just hook-ups at 3 am.", "Are you serious? You're messing with me?" I calmly said, acting as if I didn't care but the frantic beating in my chest told another story. "Yeah, I've loved you since like high school." Taehyung said, becoming cheesy and acting offended when I made fun of him for it.
"I'd love to be with you Taehyung. I just think it's weird that the youngest CEO in the world is dating a broke college student." I said. "And don't get me wrong, I'm not dating you just because you're a CEO. I actually do love and care about you a lot. I always have cared about you in a more than friends way.", "Stop referring to yourself as a broke college student. You're my best friend since high school, my first ever love and my love now." He said, a dumb smile plastered across his face. I laughed, making fun of him again.
"I'm glad Taehyung. I love you too." I smiled, looking back and pecking his lips. He wore the brightest smile, kissing my shoulders while wrapping his arms around me and holding me close. I smiled, "Jesus Christ I'm happy that dick broke up with me." Taehyung laughed in response, "Get broken up by a dick and then dicked down after. You fucking slut.", I laughed, turning around to punch him in the shoulder. "Says the one that was willing to fuck me right there, on the spot." I said, mocking him. "Hey, you never told me to stop. And if you did you know I would've." He said, beginning to ramble and get cheesy again. "Okay, relax. You just fucked me, don't get all phycological about it." You playfully rolled your eyes.
"You know what?? I am glad that this time you wasted it on me" he lovingly kissed your cheek.
The End.

leon and andrew for 62?
62. "Please shut up. Just shut up."
this got long so under the cut it goes! immediately after leon un-retires for the short circuit
There are a couple new faces on the team, of course; Leon's been gone long enough that things have moved on, but at the same time the Fire House feels the exact same as Leon left it, somewhere between professional and lived-in.
They hadn't even bothered taking his bunker jacket down from next to Andrew's. Leon doesn't know whether he's supposed to resent that or not, and decides it's not worth thinking about.
"They wanted my autograph," Leon says that night, sitting across from Andrew at the dining table after all the celebratory welcome back!s are done. Bison's chili is deeply nostalgic, especially accompanied by Andrew's sourdough, but the old bowls have been replaced by beautiful pieces of heavy stoneware. Leon's not sure who's responsible for that.
Andrew shrugs. He doesn't look up, but his ankle knocks against Leon's calf under the table. "You're famous."
"I know that," Leon says, "but I'm not..." He pushes the chili in his bowl around, not sure what the right words are. "Not good enough anymore," he settles on, and Andrew kicks him again, more sharply.
"Please shut up," Andrew says, and Leon looks up at him, startled. Andrew's staring at him, wide-eyed like he hadn't meant to say it. He doubles down, though, because he always does. "Just shut up," he says, louder. "I had enough of your self-flagellating bullshit after—"
His mouth snaps shut. The second surgery, Leon assumes. He remembers waking up after, watching drowsily as Andrew tangled his fingers in his necklace and murmured snatches of prayers Leon couldn't quite understand.
The necklace still glints gold under Andrew's shirt collar when he moves. Andrew sighs tightly, shakes his head, and says, "I'm fucking done, okay? We work around it if it comes up again. But you're here now."
There are twin scars on Leon's inner elbows from the surgeries, four inches long and pale pink, and sometimes his fingers go numb when they shouldn't, representations of Leon's inability to resist change.
Andrew is the same as ever, though.
Leon says, "I missed you," and means it. He wants to ask if Andrew prayed for him to come back to the Firefighters, but can't figure out a way to word the question that doesn't sound ungrateful.
Andrew looks at him like he knows what Leon wants to ask; looks at him like the answer is yes, of course I did. "Eat your fucking chili, Duncan."

7. MY SPIDEY-SENSE IS TINGLING
helplessness | numbness | blindness
The crowning concept of numbness develops throughout, though it will manifest fully in future chapters to come. And I expect them to come quickly—chapter 2 is already done, in fact! The AO3 link is under the cut. :)
*
The art of bottling emotions isn't as simple as identifying them as they come.
Sometimes one emotion begets another, and another, until you're dealing with a breakdown several emotions removed from the root of the problem. Extracting those secondary or tertiary emotions without addressing the root cause of the disturbance will not a permanent solution make.
To borrow a metaphor from Bob's figurative repertoire, it would be like improperly weeding a garden. If you don't tear the weeds out by the root, they'll just sprout again later.
Take sadness, for example.
If your favorite brand of chocolate is discontinued, and that makes you sad, simply removing the sadness won't do. It'll only return the next time a craving hits, or you find yourself considering purchasing some, only to remember they can no longer be found in stores anywhere.
You must go to the root of the disturbance.
Upon self-reflection, you recognize you are sad because you can't enjoy your favorite brand of chocolate any more. And why does that make you sad? Well, it's because they're your favorite. Because you like them.
To permit ourselves a bit of hyperbole, you might even say that you love them.
The root of loss is not sadness. It is love. But excise the love, and the sadness goes with it!
And what's the harm? If longing for something unattainable drives you to distraction, impacts your mental health and emotional well-being, then isn't it sensible to put those feelings to bed?
Isn't it better not to be possessive, angry, lovesick?
Yes, Otto thinks. It's much better.
One sunny afternoon in the gulch, Cassie shares the conspiratorial observation, "Lucy and Ford have been spending an awful lot of time together..."
Otto looks up from the scientific publication he's reading. Lucy is demonstrating feats of hydrokinesis to Ford across the gulch. Their smitten laughter carries like birdsong on the air.
"So they have," Otto agrees from his reclining patio chair. He uncrosses and recrosses his legs in an attempt to seem bored and unaffected by this development.
Perhaps Cassie interprets this as reproof, because she sighs and says, "I know I shouldn't be jealous. It's not like it helps anyone... And she said she could make time this weekend. I'm just being impatient."
Otto reflects on his own smoldering core of jealousy. He was friends with Lucy and Ford before either one of them knew the other. Logically, he knows seniority has no bearing on friendship or sentiment, but it stings to feel like he's been relegated to the third wheel, now they've become preoccupied with one another.
"I wonder," Otto ventures, "if it would be possible to excise jealousy from our minds. With some kind of tool."
Cassie laughs. "That would certainly be nice!"
Yes, Otto thinks. That would certainly be nice.
Ford wanders into Otto’s work area Friday evening. “Say, Otto...”
“Hm?” Otto replies distractedly, peering at a verdant green specimen in a petri dish through a microscope.
“I know we have plans to do lab work together tomorrow...”
“Oh, yes!” Otto lifts his head from the microscope’s eyepiece and spins his chair around, perking up instantly. “I’m looking forward to it! In fact, I have some fascinating findings I’m excited to share with you...!”
Ford rubs the back of his neck. “Well, when I was in town getting supplies, I overheard that the grand opening of the new bowling alley was on Saturday. And I wanted to take Lucy, since she’s never been—so I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind a rain check...?”
Otto takes a moment to process this. “Oh,” is all he says at first.
Ford winces. “I’m sorry, Otto—”
“No,” Otto interrupts. “It’s... fine. I was just—surprised. Of course I don’t mind.” And he smiles.
Ford pales. “C’mon, Otto, don’t be angry. I mean, I can take Lucy bowling another day—”
Otto laughs gently. “Why on earth do you think I’m angry?”
Ford pauses to consider his answer carefully. “... You usually only skip the shouting if you’re really peeved.”
Otto snorts. Well, that is true. “I’m not angry,” Otto assures him. “I’ve just been doing some... self-reflection.” He rests his elbows on the arms of his chair and spreads out his hands, showing that his palms hold no weapon waiting to stab Ford in the back. “We’re friends, Ford. Whatever makes you happy makes me happy.”
“Oh,” Ford says, relieved. “That’s... actually kinda sweet. Uh, thanks, Otto.”
Otto beams. “Think nothing of it, Ford. You come see me whenever you want that rain check. Or anything else," he adds with a wink.
“Sure,” Ford says with a grin. He wiggles his fingers at Otto in a wave—and a TK hand musses up Otto’s hair. “Catch you later, Odd.”
Otto scoffs, swatting at the intangible force putting his hair into disarray. “Get lost, Ford,” he laughs, shoving a TK hand in Ford’s face in retaliation.
Ford laughs as he goes. “Alright, alright...”
When Ford is gone, Otto turns his chair back around. He picks up the sealed vial close at hand, tilting it so its gleaming green contents glint in the lamplight, rubbing his rough thumb pad over the smooth paper label in wonderment.
“Extraordinary,” he murmurs.
Otto steps out of the Heptadome for a cigarette late Saturday evening and finds Cassie moping on one of the lawn chairs. He stops in his tracks.
"I thought you had plans with Lucy today," he says with a concerned frown.
"Me too," Cassie scoffs. Then she sniffs. "She broke plans to hang out with Ford instead."
"Oh," Otto says in belated epiphany. It’s not like him to take so long to connect the dots. "That’s right. He broke plans with me yesterday."
"He what?" Cassie rises from her slump to brace her hands on the arms of the lawn chair, as if thrown off-balance by this declaration. "And you just let him?"
Otto steps outside completely, and he stands at the walkway's edge to tap the ash of his cigarette into the water. "I'm not his keeper," Otto says reasonably.
"... I mean, I guess I'm just surprised,” Cassie admits. “You always want to spend time with Ford."
Otto shrugs. "We can't hold our friends hostage. If they make each other happy..." He pauses to take a drag of his cigarette, and as he does he looks out over the water. Tonight the gulch is abuzz with dragonflies stacked in mating pairs, aglow with the mating signals of fireflies. One firefly mistakes the cherry of his cigarette for a prospective partner, and Otto brushes it away with TK before it can divebomb his face.
Otto exhales a plume of smoke, and with it the conclusion of his thought: "Then we should be happy for them."
It is a long moment before Cassie mutters, unconvinced, “I guess.”
Otto feels culpable for the part he played in Cassie’s lonesomeness, and he is sympathetic to her plight besides. He may not experience jealousy any more, but he still remembers how unpleasant it was. “Here’s an idea,” he offers, “why don’t we catch some fireflies and study the properties of their bioluminescence?”
Cassie perks up immediately. “You want to?” she asks hopefully.
“Don’t you?” Otto asks, just as eager now he's talked himself into it. “I think our findings could prove to be quite illuminating!”
Cassie snorts loudly. “Alright,” she says with a shy smile. “Bet I can catch more than you.”
Otto hums in exaggeratedly pensive thought. “Compete with the country’s foremost psychic insect specialist in an insect recruiting competition...?” He grins, silly and rakish. “What could possibly go wrong?”
Cassie laughs like a chorus of bells, fully uplifted from her dark, swarming mood.
Otto decides a little extra incentive won’t hurt, and adds, “Loser owes the winner a favor.”
“Oh...?” Cassie challenges coyly. “What kind of favor, hm?”
“I suppose that’s for the winner to decide,” Otto says airily, as if the conclusion were not already certain. Having seen them before exiting the Heptadome, Otto uses TK to retrieve two glass jars from within. He floats one over to Cassie, and he tucks the other under his free arm.
Doing so many things at once, he forgets himself when his cigarette burns down to the filter, and he flicks it into the water on reflex.
Cassie’s dark eyes follow its descent with cold scrutiny.
“... Oops?” Otto says with a wince.
“... What if the favor is no cigarettes for a week?”
“Oh no.”
“Or a month?”
“Cassie, please,” Otto begs, holding out his hand in the manner of one vainly petitioning the executioner to stay her axe. “Have mercy.”
“I might reconsider,” she says, “if you can find that cigarette butt before I’m done collecting fireflies.” And with that she pushes off, as graceful and precise in levitation as a skater on the ice.
Otto abandons his own glass jar and leaps without hesitation into the water, searching for his fallen cigarette.
In the end he doesn’t find it—in all likelihood it’s already unraveled and dissolved, carcinogens and all, indistinguishable from the rest of the particulate matter floating through the water. But Cassie takes pity on the wet and shivering Otto, and in acknowledgment of his sincere effort, decides upon a much more mutually gratifying favor to ask of him.
... Though he has a bit more trouble than usual tracking down cigarettes for the next few days, he supposes that’s fair game, and well worth the price of entry.

Reset: Jay Walker x Reader
-inspired by my own hardships, as nearly all my writing has been
-we all know Jay is smart asf and a deep thinker. He may seem dumb sometimes, but he's really a nerd at heart and that's why I love him.
Summary: You're tired of life, playing hero, everything. It hurts to keep going and you're falling apart, but you can't stop. Jay is there to cheer you up.
Tumblr media
A sigh escaped your lips and your shoulders slumped as you rolled out of bed. Midday naps were supposed to make you feel energised, not tired and achy from sleeping in uncomfortable positions. It was hard to imagine being able to leave your room, much less make your way through the monastery for a late lunch.
Today was your day off. No training. No chores (it was Lloyd'd turn). And no running atound saving the day (unless someone called). You wanted to lay back down and cuddle close into your warm sheets again, but your head hurt from sleeping too much.
The door creaked open. Jay peeked his head in, allowing a bright smile to cross his face. "Had a nice nap?" You rubbed the gunk out of your eyes and smoothed any kinks in your hair. "Not really," you replied with a yawn. "My head hurts." Jay pushed the door wide and made his way across the room. It closed behind him with a soft click. The bed dipped as he settled by your side, affectionately bringing you close to his chest.
"Do you want some water? Or tea?" He ran his cool hands through your hair, gently untangling the tight knots. "You know what, I'll go get some." He began to stand but you firmly caught his wrist and pulled him back down. "Stay." you quietly said. "Please." Jay settled and leaned back against the headboard. You stayed like that for a few moments, with Jay running his hands theough your hair and you leaning against his chest.
"You know," Jay began, "if somerhing's wrong, you can tell me right? I promise I won't tell anyone." A light laugh escaped your lips and it could have been like a symphony. "It's not that bad Jay." He dropped his hand with a troubled frown. You blinked, lazily meeting his electric gaze. "What?"
"You're doing it again." he noted.
"Doing what?"
"Lying that you're okay."
You mimicked his frown and flopped down on the bed, intertwining your fingers with his. "I'm just...tired. That's all." Jay shook his head. He flopped down next to you, shifting his weight onto his side so he could clearly see your face. "What's making you so tired (Y/n)?"
You shrugged as best as you could while lying on your side. "A lot." That simple phrase held more weight than you thought it would. It reverberated, leaving the room in complete silence. You began to wonder if Jay would be mad, or freak out like he used to do when you both were younger. He was cute like that, always joking, always talking at the speed of light...
Time changed you both. Of course, Jay still smiled and joked, but he wasn't the same Jay you first met. The weight on his shoulders was as much as yours. It kept his mind from wandering like it used to, and maybe that was because if it did, old memories no one wanted would rise from the grave.
You wondered what it would have been like if you both were normal teenagers, free from the weight of this realm on your shoulders. Even if you didn't want to see it, you had changed too. It was harder to keep a smile on your lips, tougher to joke about the little things, and almost impossible to sleep with an empty head.
You were tired, not only of the weight you carried, but of all the things you knew you wouldn't have.
All the things you knew you couldn't have.
Those thoughts made you feel numb. You wrapped an arm around Jay, pulling him closer like you would a teddy bear.
"What would it be like to...to be normal?" you quietly mused. Jay thought for a moment in pire silence, knitting his brows together and humming as if it'd make the answer come faster. The silence refused wear thin.
"I don't know," he finally said. "But I'm not sure I'd want to be normal."
"Why?"
"We're all passing down legacies that've been around for centuries." he said thoughtfully. "I like to think of us as protectors of that power. If we don't keep it safe, then wouldn't we have another villain on our hands? I don't know about you, but I am done with evil people." You smile a little, appreciating the lightness in his voice. "That's true."
"And if we were normal, we'd have to go to school. Then we'd have to figure out college, and student debt. I can be smart, but I know I'm not that smart. And beside that, who wants to be stuck to a desk all day doing paperwork? I'd take scrapes and broken bones in a heartbeat. Paperwork is an absolute no-go!"
He threw a hand up in the air as if to prove his point. "Then we'd have to think about rent, and textbooks, and don't forget about wasting away in an apartment and answering to a boss. I don't know how normal people do it."
You knew he was right. Last time you all had to live in Ninjago City, it was straight-up a disaster. Having the monastery and the Bounty was a huge blessing. There was no rent to pay and absolutely no worries about going to work everyday. Here, you could see the mountains, the birds, and smell fresh air. It wasn't possible to have such luxuries in the city.
"You're right." you agreed. Jay raised a brow. "But?"
You sighed. "Sometimes it's tiring. It...it feels weird when we don't have any crime to fight. It gives me so much time to think, but then I start to wonder about what could have been better. Someone's always getting hurt, someone's always going missing, and I won't say any names, but it's worrisome. It's tiring and..."
Jay met your gaze. "You know, my dad used to tell me this when I wasn't feeling my best. He said that sometimes it's good to sit down and breathe. He called it 'resetting' and I think that's something you need to do." Jay pursed his lips together. You didn't need to be telepathic to know he was thinking hard. "Jay--"
"Stay here, I'm going to get something." You wanted to tell him you didn't need anything, but how could you say no to that cute face of his? Jay sprinted out of the room, leaving the door ajar as you sat up in bed. A few moments later, he came back with paper facial masks and iced tea. The glasses clicked as he set the tray down by your bed, the liquid swaying with the floating pieces of ice.
"I bought these masks for you. Nya said you like this brand, but since there's two, I'm going to do it with you." There was a bright smile on his face as he ripped open one of the packages. You peered up at him. "What kind is it?"
"This one's aloe and," he held the other one up, "this one's honey. Which one do you want?" You scanned the packages, weighing out the options before choosing (your choice).
It was nice to sit back and enjoy a cup of iced tea, much less alone with Jay. The soft bed seemed to blanket you like a cloud. Warm...bouncy...
You closed your eyes. It was nice and quiet, save for the occasional joke Jay threw out. But it wasn't like you minded. It was, after all, part of his charm.
"Feeling better?" Jay suddenly said. You nodded and took a sip of your tea. "Yes. Much better."
"What a shocking revelation." You shared a laugh together. It was short, yet sweet, warm, and filled with love. You pecked his cheek. "I love you."
"I love you more."

All stories have a beginning and all stories have an end.
But, how does one know where to start a story? And maybe, sometimes we don't want to know the end; since unfortunately, not all stories have a good finish. Perhaps we'd like to leave it unfinished and rewrite it in our minds, because all humans want a happy ending.
You're still reading so I guess you'd like to see for yourself how this story goes.
Have you ever heard the story of how the sun fell in love with the moon?
No?
Well, you're about to...
And I can't promise you that it's going to go the way you'd like.

3 yrs before the incident
One more chance. I'll give her one more chance, you thought as you grit your teeth, watching your once best friend in the lunch line chatting it up with the annoying girl from history class.
Your breath caught in your throat when your former bff Lena made eye contact with you from across the cafeteria after filling her lunch tray. A small smile went to find it's way onto your face when Lena's eye contact lingered, but it was gone in a matter of seconds when she just twitched an eyebrow and sauntered off to sit at a table across the room; the conversation between Lena and her new bestie continuing as if nothing had happened.
So it was true, she'd left you for someone else. Like you were worth nothing more to that girl than a tissue; use it once and throw it away. Not a very good comparison at the time, but that's all you could think of as you watched them sit down; you were worth no more than a small used tissue.
Figures...
Your hands started to twitch awkwardly not knowing what to do with themselves now and you stared at the lasagna on your lunch tray; if you could even call it that–all it was was a lump of overcooked noodles drenched in sauce the color of a burnt tomato with who knows what posing as the ground beef, covered in a crispy layer of cheese.
You definitely weren't hungry, but staring at the sad excuse for lunch in front of you and contemplating life as nothing more than a wisp of a tissue floating through the air, not knowing where it might end up–was better than watching Lena start a new chapter without you.
It didn't make sense, you were best friends...weren't you? Guess it didn't matter now, since a friendship takes two people to make it work, and seeing as one was currently occupied elsewhere, you would have to make do with what you had, which was...a depressed piece of lasagna staring at you from it's home on the untouched tray. You poked at it with your fork and looked at it-thinking. Then you whispered to the disheartening meal,
"Oh well...at least you're not gonna leave me for that annoying- what was her name? I don't even know, but who cares, right?"
Then you suddenly realized what you were doing and looked up quickly in embarrassment, afraid someone had seen you. But the regular drone of kids talking, shouting and laughing was the same as always. Of course no one had noticed, because you were invisible.
And you were talking to a piece of lasagna.
Highschool was great....
You were a senior this year, at seventeen. At least this was the last year of hell, then you could do whatever you wanted. You had a lot of things you wanted to do and places to travel to, maybe you couldn't do them all but you'd be damned if you didn't at least try.
But one thing was for sure, you couldn't just sit there and stare at that fake lasagna pretending like Lena wasn't betraying you right across the room. So you got up and brought your uneaten food to the window where kids leave their empty lunch trays and put your tray down, but kept the small carton of chocolate milk. Then headed out of the cafeteria to spend the rest of your lunchbreak in the library. You fiddled with the unopened milk carton and mumbled to yourself while you walked,
"It's fine, I don't need her anyway."
Just numb the pain.
That wasn't the first or the last time.

2 yrs before the incident
"Uhhh, ya know what little missy? I think if you give me twenty-five percent off everything, maybe we could come to a compromise?"
This man......was going to die in a minute if he kept going on like this.
You tried your hardest not to just scream at this pervert to leave and say you wouldn't do a damn thing for him. You just settled for licking your dry lips while he started to smirk at you. He brought his hand up to rest against the counter, then started to slowly tap his fingers. You made eye contact with him and said sternly, "I'm sorry sir, but I can't do that."
"What if I give you my phone number? And we'll make it fifteen percent..." He tried again, not once breaking eye contact with you.
"Excuse me sir-"
"Yes, doll?"
"Do you have a coupon?"
"No, I don't bu-"
"Then no, we can't move the price down at all, would you like to pay the full price or leave sir?" You stared him dead in the eyes, this creep, you thought angrily, how dare he call me that? I hope he just leaves, I don't care if he doesn't buy anything. The man leaned over the cash register, "hmm, this isn't very good customer service. Maybe I won't come back." Please don't, you thought, but instead of saying that you settled for, "it's not about customer service, this is store policy, I'm sorry sir but I can't do anything."
"Ya know what? I like it when you call me sir- you say that a lot to me....what's a pretty little lady like you doing working in a rundown grocery store, hm? What about college? You're what, eighteen? If you'd like, I can give you my number and you won't have to worry about this job, I'll take care of you." He smirked and arched an eyebrow at you from the other side of the counter.
It was probably a good thing there was a big cash register between the two of you, since you weren't sure what would've happened if you had free range. By now your brain was just blurry and you saw nothing but blackness because of the fury settling inside. What a disgusting man. You didn't care if you got fired, you were gonna teach him a lesson or two about trying to get young girls to do stuff for him in exchange for money. You leaned forward which made him lean back in surprise, then you said loud enough for the other people in line to hear,
"If you do not pay the full price right here right now, then leave. If you think I'm looking for a sugar daddy then you are sadly mistaken. You have enough money to pay for a girl's life in exchange for your own personal services, so you have enough to pay the full thirty five dollars. There are people waiting behind you so make up your mind now, sir." You said the last word mockingly and raised an eyebrow at him in defiance. The man's eyes grew in shock, then he glared at you but he didn't say a word as he threw forty bucks in your direction, grabbed his bags and stomped out of the store.
You took a deep breath and smiled at the next customer who cautiously came forward with their items.
-
The second you stepped through the door after working a twelve hour shift you slumped against the wall and yanked your sneakers off; dropping them to the floor carelessly. The apartment was dark so you assumed your mom wasn't home- probably out drinking away her troubles again. Walking into the kitchen, you sighed at the sink full of dirty dishes, and the counters that were no better. The smell wasn't too bad, probably because your nose was used to it by now. You walked to a cupboard and rummaged around until you found a sleeve of saltine crackers. After that you grabbed the softened butter and a knife and walked to your room; stepping over and around the miscellaneous junk spread throughout the apartment.
After about an hour of sitting on your bed, scrolling through your phone and munching on what your dinner was that night, you heard the door open and what you could only assume was your mother stumble inside. Your mother's heels clacked against the hard floor by the door, then a heavier pair of footsteps could be heard with them. You sighed deeply, but stayed as quiet as you could. Not again, you thought miserably. Just, please just go do whatever you're gonna do and leave me alone, you prayed silently squeezing your eyes shut.
There was a lot of stumbling and cursing and your chest was tight with anxiety, scared that at any moment they would drunkenly come into your room by accident. Eventually, your mother's bedroom door slammed shut and you let out the breath you had been holding. Thank you God, thank you, you clasped your hands and shook them, then carefully and as quietly as you could, you set the remaining crackers and butter on your nightstand. Then you shifted in bed to lie on your left side and tried to make sure the bed didn't creak at your movements– cringing a little when it squeaked a bit. It was gonna be alright, he–whoever he was, didn't know you were in the house.
You closed your eyes and tried to ignore the lingering feeling on your skin, even though it had been over a year since the last time. You stuffed your hands over your ears, willing yourself to sleep despite whatever was going on on the other side of the wall.
-
Morning came all too soon, and with it a massive pounding headache from the lack of sleep. You groaned when the sun hit your eyes and made the darkness an annoying shade of orangey red from behind your eyelids, your brain in a fog from the tiny bit of sleep you were able to get even though it was plagued by nightmares. Then you suddenly snapped awake and shot up in bed, grabbing your chest and feeling all around yourself frantically, breathing a sigh of relief when you felt your shirt still on your body. You were okay, it was just another nightmare. You tried to steady your breathing while taking deep breaths in and blowing them out slowly. Then you looked towards the door and cupped a hand by your ear; listening intently. After a minute or two of silence that didn't really prove anything, you sighed and swung your legs out of bed- planting your feet on the floor despite laundry being scattered everywhere. Sneaking towards the door you put an ear to it then slowly turned the knob. Normally you wouldn't even be risking going out of the safety of your room but you really had to pee, you would just have to be quick.
You scurried quietly to the bathroom and when you were finished you were on your way back when your mom's door swung open. You flinched and wrung your hands keeping your eyes downcast, too afraid to look up. But then you sighed in relief when it was only your mother that pushed past you to go to the bathroom. You decided to risk it and peeked into your mom's bedroom. A weight lifted off your chest at the sight of the empty bed–he must have left earlier.
-
"Aren't you supposed to be working or something? Why're you just sitting around reading?" Your mother scoffed at you from the doorway, after slamming your bedroom door open to confront you.
You set your book down–not ready for another fight, "they gave me today off, I'm back on the schedule tomorrow." Your mother just glared at you and crossed her arms, "oh, so you think we can afford to have you lying around, taking days off? Lazy ass." With that she turned and slammed the door shut, leaving you to sit there and scold your heart to stop hurting, because it just wasn't worth it.
You don't need her Y/n...
Just numb the pain.
So that's what you did.
-
-
1 1/2 yrs before the incident
You walked into the apartment after three classes in a row; each one being about two hours long. You dropped your backpack by the door with a thud then changed your mind and picked it up again, not wanting another fight when someone tripped over it in their drunken state. You decided just putting it in your room would be best.
Canned vegetables with canned chicken really wasn't too bad if one could figure out the right stuff to put in it. After years of this, you had discovered your favorite seasonings and you were mixing yourself up a nice concoction for lunch before going to work, humming and talking to yourself as you did so–when there was loud pounding on the front door.
You weren't very alarmed, knowing exactly who it was, and so you opened the door and stepped aside as your mother staggered in, thankfully alone. Turning to look at you, your mother's eyes were a bit glassy as she spoke, "is there any food around here or do I have to do all the work for that too?" She wasn't drunk, but she wasn't too far away from it. You didn't say anything and just walked to the kitchen, took your lunch and handed it to your mother.
"I just made this for you, thought you'd be home soon."
Your mom just snatched it away and walked to her room calling over her shoulder, "almost nineteen years old and all you can do is make a half-assed meal for the woman that gave up everything for your lazy ass."
You just grabbed your bag and put your shoes on, trying to ignore the insistent hunger pangs in your stomach, then walked out the door for work.
-
"Y/n? May I speak with you please?" It was the next day and you were just leaving the history classroom when your professor called you over. Your grades were far from satisfactory, but you really did try. You walked over to Professor Kim's (who also happened to teach your Korean class as well) desk and tried not to hang your head, since you knew what was coming. She was a nice lady, but could also be strict at times.
"Y/n, I'm going to get straight to the point. I heard that you wanted to travel to South Korea. We both know you're struggling a bit in the academic department, but I know you're a good girl, and you speak Korean pretty well."
You looked up, utterly confused, this wasn't about you almost failing history class? Professor Kim just smiled and continued, "there is a scholarship program to go and stay in Seoul for a year, learning Korean and going to the university there. I thought you might be interested in it."
You were so shocked you couldn't speak for a full minute, just stuttering out nonsense until Professor Kim laughed and put her hand on your shoulder. Then she handed you a packet, telling you to fill it out and give it back to her as soon as possible.
This couldn't be happening. Good things didn't happen to you. Could this actually be your escape?
You thanked Professor Kim over and over then scurried out of the room before anything else could be said and possibly destroy this amazing opportunity. As you left there was a new lift to your step.
-
Two weeks had passed and no word from the scholarship people. You turned nineteen in those two weeks, but that didn't mean much to you. All you could think about was the scholarship. Things at home didn't change, they never did. Until one day when you were heading home from work, completely exhausted, and you saw the mailman at the front door knocking. You ran up the steps but your mother opened the door right when you got there. You said hello to the man and took the mail from him, being our to thank him. When you turned to go inside, your mother snatched all the mail from you and stalked off. You followed her cautiously, "uh, may I see that? I think I might have gotten something." Your mother turned and glared at you then spat, "and what could you have gotten in the mail? You don't even have friends, and the bills are in my name." You tried not to roll your eyes, even though the bills were in your mother's name, she wasn't the one paying them.
Scanning through the envelopes, your mother stopped when she saw one with the name Y/n Y/l/n on the front. She turned and looked at you accusingly, "what is this?" Before you had time to even process what you were doing you snatched the envelope out of her hands and dashed around her, running to your room. You shut the door and locked it, hearing the woman outside screaming horrible accusations and threats at you but not caring a single bit. The envelope was white–super white actually, almost looking unnatural. Your fingers shook as you gently tore it open, running a finger carefully along the top so you could pull the letter out. The paper inside was just as bright, and the bold black lettering stood out.
Tumblr media
Your breathing hitched, was this actually happening? A second scan over the letter and a quick yet painful pinch to the arm confirmed that, yes, this was actually happening. Your hands trembled as you slowly pulled your phone out of your pocket and carefully typed in the number printed on the paper. The sounds of your mother screaming outside the door and hitting it, the cars outside, your own heart pounding in your ears- it all faded away to a dull thudding when you heared the ringing through the phone, once, twice, you held your breath, three rings in, four......click
"Hello? This is Jill Dunning, how can I help you?"
"H-hello? I- I was told to call you."
"Are you Y/n Y/l/n, by any chance?"
You cleared your throat nervously, then took a deep breath before answering.
"Yes, I am."
-
1 month later
The flight there was extremely long and tiring so by the time you were getting off; you could’ve cried tears of joy, having felt like the plane ride really was going to last forever and you’d never step on solid ground again. But there you were; standing in the middle of the Seoul airport, completely and utterly free.
Not to mention, completely and utterly lost.
You looked around but couldn’t see anything other than a lot of people rushing around; businessmen and women, families with little children that stared at you with wide eyes, college students; and yet not a single soul that looked like they might help you find who you were looking for. You shifted your heavy backpack and decided to walk a bit, maybe you could find where the luggage came through and you could at least collect the rest of your bags. After you walked for another minute you saw a sign with a suitcase on it, hanging from the ceiling with an arrow pointing down. You hurried over to where it was pointing and saw a giant metal thing with suitcases going around on it, people looking at tags and grabbing them before hurrying off again.
You walked over briskly and just in time too, because your two suitcases had just come around the bend in the giant machine. You double checked the tags and after confirming they were yours, you heaved them off the machine and caught your breath after setting them next to you. Then you had to figure out where you were and where your roommate, who was to be picking you up, was. You went to the name of your roommate in your contacts and pressed it before you held your phone to your ear. After one ring, the sweet voice of your roommate answered in Korean.
“Hello? Y/n?”
“Hey Eui, I just got here and I’m so lost. I just got my bags.”
“I’m so sorry Y/n! I’ll be there in less than five minutes. Traffic was awful, but I’m walking into the airport now. Just stay by the baggage area, ok?”
”Ok, thanks Eui.”
You had talked to her on the phone many times over the past four weeks and you really liked her, you couldn’t wait to meet in person. You hung up and looked around, watching everyone else go about their days; rushing to catch flights, leisurely browsing the shops in the airport, then you heard an excited squeal and turned to see a girl running and jumping into the arms of a boy who you assumed was her boyfriend. You just smiled and kept looking around- trying not to think about how badly you wished that was you.
“Y/n?”
You turned at the sound of Eui’s voice and smiled widely when she approached you with open arms. Eui wrapped her arms around you and then pulled away, still smiling, “welcome to Seoul, are you ready to start over?” That had to be the best sentence you ever heard in your life. You smiled back at her and grabbed one of your suitcases while Eui grabbed the other one.
“Definitely.”
And you were; a new place, a new school, a friendly face, and no people from your past. It was time to start over and let things go, because life just got a whole lot easier.
You had no idea that whether you liked it or not, your past would continue to haunt you, no matter how many miles away you ran.
“Let’s go.”

Are you afraid
If I die would that make everyone happy or will make things worse?
He thought. He glance at the book again. At the beginning of the book is said every life has a purpose. Everyone knows what his brother's is, but what about him? Maybe all he's good at is protecting the dark side of the tree. Despite it cost him to be bullied. Another reason is maybe he supposed to take care of Dream despite they're twins.
He sigh and decided to go to the library. One of his secret happy place. At least that was his brother calls it. He found a quiet place to read about the study of the mind when another monster bully slams the table.
"What are you doing here?" The bully asked.
"To read?" Nightmare answer. Big mistake. The monster hit and pin Nightmare by the neck-bone against a bookshelf. Causing a scene, but no one came to stop it. Nightmare tries to make him let go, but the monster's grip was too strong. He then to come up another way to get free. Many books he read pops in his mind, till he remembers the recent book.
"People torment what they fear or don't understand."
Nightmare took a breath; which was difficult for him and said in a weak voice.
"A-Are you afraid of me?"
The monster paused. Then heals the grip tighter making it difficult for Nightmare to breathe. "What you say that, monster?"
Nightmare despite feeling weak answers.
"Because many torment what they fear or don't understand," Nightmare loosen the grip a bit. "And 'monster'? Isn't that what you and some other people are as well?"
"WELL T-THAT BECAUSE YOU'RE A DEMON!" The monster yelled in frustration.
"So are some other monsters." Nightmare let out a smirk. "Hypocrite."
The monster growled in anger.
"THAT ENOUGH!" The monster slams Nightmare higher than he was originally at.
"I'M NOT AFRAID!"
"Than prove it by killing me right here, are now."
The two can hear the quiet mumbles about if the monster really is going to kill him. After some silence the bully let go and turn to the exit. Nightmare got up slowly and rubs his neck bone. "So you are scared." He said. "No. I'm not scare. It just that you're Dream's brother."
Nightmare cross his arms. "So you actually do care about him. And here I thought that you were just using him." The monster turn. "W-whatever you're still a demon."
"That's offensive to the demons who actually live here." Nightmare replied.
"Hell spawn."
"Hypocrite."
Nightmare sigh and looked at his surroundings. As expected everyone was shocked some have their mouth gaped open. He put the books back to its self and left without saying goodbye. While waking home the librarian hit him with one of the books.
"WARLOCK!" He yelled. "I merely use verse from my mind, not from a spell book." Nightmare replies.
"Then how do you explain why you scared our strongest man in the village?"
"He was already a coward."
"You liar."
I wonder if this applies to entire village?
He thought.
"Are you afraid?" He asked.
"Don't use your mind games on me."
"So you are."
"You will never be like us Nightmare, as long as you're still alive no one will accept you or even love you."
Nightmare didn't say anything. If that monster was stubborn then the librarian was just a stubborn as he is. Just like the rest of the village both monster and human, they're all stubborn like an ass.
Nightmare continue walking feeling the eyes of disgust and hatred. If it wasn't for his belief in karma he would've gotten them back. Sometimes he even wondered how  Dream found them as friends in the first place.
He went home and laid on his bed for a good while till he decided that he wants to become numb to everything.
So he went to the training area and grabbed a stickle and shave his bones till he can see his black blood.  As he was about to slice off his head with it he heard a familiar voice.
"BROTHER WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" Nightmare quickly grabbed one of the curtains and hung it over himself like a cape and turn to his brother.
"I'm just inspecting the sickle." He lied.
"But why are you in the training room?" Dream asked.
"I wanted to be stronger." He answered with a lie.
"Yeah, and the cape when it's very hot out here even for you with your long shirt?"  Dream ask with his arms crossed.
Nightmare look down. "You won't understand."
"You're right, unless you tell me." Dream said. Nightmare will it admit that Dream is right. Still in his mind he still see Dream as a little kid. "Leave me  alone, Dream."
"No."
Dream unexpectedly grab Nightmare's arm and the cape ripped off revealing the self-inflicted wound.
Dream looked a quick look at it then back at Nightmare with a shocked expression.
"Nighty?"
"I told you that you won't understand." Nightmare what from the training area to get medical supplies they have at their home then went by the river bank to tend his wounds.
Sometimes I wish that Dream just leave me alone
He thought as he cleans up. When he left to go to bed he found a small folded up piece of paper on top of his blankets. He open it up and read it and shocked.
I know I don't understand, but I don't want you to hurt yourself like that. To tell you a secret: I look up to you. You're basically the only thing I have that's like a father figure. And you're my best friend. And I care about you.
-Dream
Nightmare put the note down and did his best to not cry. He don't know if his brother is here and if he is he don't want him to see him as weak. He can't be weak around others, otherwise they'll take advantage of him.
"So what are you think about my message?" He heard Dream. He turn around and ask him the question that was in his mind ever since the librarian drew a book at him.
"Are you scared of me?"
Dream turn his head sideways. "Why should I be scared of you?, you did nothing wrong have you?"
Nightmare chuckled a bit.
"Never mind." Dream walked away before putting on the hood in his cape Nightmare said.
"Also thanks for the note, I needed that."
Dream smile.
"You're welcome."

summary: Jaemin notices how Jeno's eyes glint when you are within his line of vision-  as you maneuver your way towards their table- him flashing a smile only reserved for you. He rips his stare away from the scene, his heart squeezing uncomfortably in his chest.
And just like that, Jaemin watches Jeno fall in love with you more and more, while his heart breaks piece by piece each time you show up.
I still remember, 3rd of december
me in your sweater, you said it looked better on me
"Here, wear this."
Jeno hands Jaemin a fluffy, red sweater with a pair of sweatpants while the latter blows air into his palm, trying to warm his hands.
They were just out and going about their day, strolling the city when it started to pour out of the blue. Thankfully, Jeno's place was nearby so they rushed to his apartment but still had gotten drenched halfway.
Jaemin eyes the sweater with clear distaste (or pretends to, considering he had worn the said sweater on multiple occasions he stayed over at his place, or had impromptu sleepovers without any complaints previously).
"Really, this ugly sweater, again?" Jaemin clicks his tongue but still takes the bright sweater from Jeno's grasp.
Jeno gasps in faux hurt, hand placed against his chest,
"Hey, don't say that! You're going to hurt its feelings."
Jaemin merely chuckles at his best friend's antics, turning around to change- taking off his wet sweater and pulling the clean cloth over his head, the soft fabric brushing against his bare skin that is accentuated with the distinctive smell of Jeno's cologne.
Oh how Jaemin hates the way his heart pricks and goosebumps cover every pore of his skin- because he shouldn't be getting this affected. It's just a sweater get over it, he reprimands himself. He quickly changes his bottoms as well before turning around to see an already freshened-up Jeno staring at him with a wistful expression on his face.
Jaemin quirks an eyebrow, "What, is there something on my face?"
He reaches a hand up to touch his face but Jeno shakes his head,
"No, it's just, I realized how it has become an unconscious habit for me give you that sweater," Jeno motions towards Jaemin's chest with his hand.
For some reason, Jaemin holds his breath awaiting for the next words that is about to stumble out of Jeno's mouth,
"It looks way better on you than it does on me. Keep it. The red really suits you." Jeno finishes with a playful wink.
And just like that, Jaemin's heart races a mile because stupid, stupid Jeno, and his stupid comment, Jaemin berates silently.
Stupid Jeno with his crescent eyes and wide, infectious smile.
Jeno walks out of the bedroom and head towards the living room, with Jaemin in tow with crimson ears, one that is almost matching the color of his sweater.
He futiely convinces himself that it is just a harmless crush (a supposed phase that has roughly gone on for about a year now). It will pass, he tells himself, albeit unconvincingly.
"Do you know what date is today?" Jeno asks as he turns on the TV and settles down on the couch, grabbing the remote and flipping through channels randomly.
Jaemin answers quizzically, "It's 3rd of december, why?"
Jaemin had just placed himself on the space next to Jeno when he abruptly shifts around and faces him, grabbing both his hands, pretty eyes filled with excitement,
"Oh shit, dude! How to train your dragon: homecoming comes out today."
Jaemin is taken aback by the overly enthusiastic Jeno, his insides going haywire with how close Jeno's face is to his- the proximity rendering him immobile. He can also feel his hot breath fanning across his cheeks, prompting him to bite the insides of his cheeks to stay in check, because, Jeno is all up his personal space, eyes crinkling at the sides, and his pink, soft pillow of a lips lifting up at the corner. Their faces are mere centimetres apart, and he could just feel Jeno's touch if he leans in tad more.
It is scary how he is easily evading his senses, leaving him unable to formulate any rational thoughts, as he can only drink in the view in front of him, and maybe feel his lips, thoughts drifting into dangerous waters. He can feel his pulse quickening, lips drying up as he swipes his tongue out to lather them in moisture- it has only been mere seconds yet his heart is pounding against his chest. His eyes roaming about Jeno's face wordlessly, counting his moles and freckles that decorated his countenance like constellations.
However, he quickly snaps out of it when he feels Jeno lightly squeezes his hand still with that expectant look,
"O-oh yeah, I completely forgot. Why don't you turn on netflix while I fix us some warm drinks, yeah?"
Jaemin averts his gaze and stands up straight not waiting for an answer, making a beeline for the kitchen. Once he is within the safe confines of the kitchen, he places a hand on his chest hoping to aid his racing heart to settle down, trying to regulate his breathing. It's getting worst, shit, he curses in his head. He should be more careful because he almost slipped, he makes a mental note.
They spend their time together watching the movie, a blanket on their lap, thighs brushing, their drinks empty on the table in front of them.
Sometime later in the middle of the night, during their third movie, Jaemin feels a light weight on his shoulder, and glances towards a sleepy Jeno, already nodding off.
He sighs affectionately, although it's laced along with anguish. He extends his hand to brush Jeno's bangs away from, eyes raking over his soft features mutely.
The sudden urge to grab his face and kiss him dumb and drunk is overwhelmingly strong, which startles Jaemin for even having such a thought.
(Although the irrational part of his mind is already wandering off in the deepest desires of his thought, like how kissing Jeno would feel, to act on his selfish thoughts, to just give in, and succumb to the chaotic mess of his thoughts until there's only white noise, and he can no longer breathe, the only source of air being Jeno.)
His heart clenches painfully, oh, was Jeno so beautiful and magnificent as red rose, lush green leaves, covered in thorns that could tear your skin, but it still wouldn't forbid you from touching it- the blood seemingly an easy price to pay to just get a feel.
But the ground reality was, Jaemin knew him well enough to know Jeno couldn't possibly feel the same way as he does, because you were there.
He wasn't oblivious to how Jeno's demeanor changed when his phone vibrated in the middle of a movie, how his smile spread further across his cheeks if it was even possible, eyes glued to his phone screen, and how he watched the rest of the movie with a light bounce in his feet, chin up, and a pretty smile on his lips.
(Like I could never, his heart breaks a little at the revelation).
Jaemin gazes at Jeno's sleeping figure, expression etched with a deep ache of longing, a hand reaching out under the blanket to hold his warm ones, giving it a comforting squeeze, while this action also causes his heart strings to tug against each other painfully.
It is only a matter of time before any of you realize your true feelings.
So until then, Jaemin will keep Jeno caged in his selfish thoughts.
Until he no longer can.
Until he falls in love with you.
If only he knew how much he liked him.
Tumblr media
                         You gave her your sweater
It's just polyester, but you like her better
Jaemin observes from a distance, the scene unfolding in front of him; Jeno's arm on your shoulder, eyes entirely captivated by your presence, like nothing else mattered and the rest of world just disappeared.
It's almost pathetic, how Jaemin could easily spot his sweater from the crowd as if it was mocking him, because of all things, Jeno's sweater caught his attention. There's nothing special about the black piece of cloth, with random scribbles of letters on the back, almost fading in color because of how frequently the boy wore that article of clothing.
There really is nothing special about it, so why did his insides poke at him, why did his eyes prick at the sight of you wearing his sweater- he thinks it's so silly and stupid and he shouldn't even be feeling hurt given the fact you are dating him- it should have been a completely normal occurrence.
It is blatantly obvious how much he likes you better in his faded black sweater, eyes never wandering elsewhere, always on you- he liked you so much better. He could never bring that shy smile on his face and the sparkle dancing off in his eyes like you did.
While Jeno might have given him a red sweater, he gave you his favorite sweater, even though it is just polyester. Jaemin realizes, knows, nothing could compare to that.
For some reason Jaemin can't seem to break his gaze away from the two of you- hands clasped together, similar tinted cheeks, occasionally sharing kisses, your surrounding passing in a blur. You look warm in his embrace.
Everything comes to a halt in Jaemin's world, and he pretends it's him with Jeno, sharing loving gazes, endearing smiles and gentle touches- if only he knew.
Jaemin finally looks away, heart heavy in his chest, cold hands crumpling the end of his sweater, the chilly winter breeze biting at the exposed skin of his neck. He's hoping the cold would somehow numb his pain.
It is so silly to have worn the red sweater, Jaemin thinks.
Because he is not you, and Jeno likes you better.
And black is a much better color than red, anyways, Jaemin muses with a crestfallen expression.
Tumblr media
But I watch your eyes, as she walks by
what a sight for sore eyes
Brighter than a blue sky
Jaemin wishes he could erase the mental image of Jeno painted in his head, when you dropped by earlier to their table, beautiful face and everything.
How Jeno's eyes instantly brightened as he spots you in the hoard of students, calling out your name with such fondness that it leaves a bitter taste in his mouth. Their conversation stops midway when Jeno's eyes zeroed behind Jaemin, eyes turning all tender and crescents, and god, did he look so in love.
Jeno looks prettier than ever, and his heart shatters a little.
The view now taunts him, as he recalls the memory, how you could just kiss him like that. The action causing him to flit his eyes away from the two of them, his heart squeezing in slight discomfort.
He also watched as you walk away from the clutches of Jeno's arm for your next class, Jaemin's eyes never leaving his side- the way Jeno's eyes significantly dimmed and lips jutted out, it is so childish, Jaemin thinks.
Except for some unfathomable reason, it was ripping his insides into shreds, making him painfully aware that he could never do those things to him.
What a sore sight, Jaemin wonders bitterly.
Tumblr media
But how could I hate her?
she's such an angel
Sometimes Jaemin wishes you were a complete bitch, because then he could hate you and it wouldn't hurt as much.
But you aren't.
You are nice and sweet and kind, and just so profoundly you. It was not a hard feat for anyone to fall for your charming personality. People liked you instantly from exchanging a few conversations, because he did too.
Jaemin could tell why Jeno is so in love with you.
Jaemin recollects the instance in which he got sick and had missed two important classes; because the two of shared the same class, you had prepared separate notes for him despite him not asking you for anything, or the numerous times you would invite him to your dates with Jeno, worried that you might be leaving him out deliberately. Because you understood more than anyone how much Jeno meant for him, he is his bestfriend after all-afraid that you might be overstepping your boundaries when it came to their bond.
How you would ask permission from him for the insignificant of things like staying over during their movie or gaming nights. How you would also prepare meals for him on the day the three of you happened to be at Jeno's place, insisting that he stay whenever Jaemin feels like he is intruding during your private time with him, even though his visit was unannounced. Jaemin could never bring himself to hate you-how could he when in fact, he envied you. You were everything he was not- kind, beautiful, and thoughtful, always so considerate and mindful of others, gleaming with confidence.
He wishes he were you.
You are such an angel.
Tumblr media
She's got you mesmerized while I die
The pinnacle of Jaemin's heartbreak comes not too soon after they spend a night at the beach, partying together with several other people from the same batch of their course-in celebration of their upcoming graduation ceremony.
They are sitting in front of the bonfire, a bottle of beer in both their hands as they take occasional swigs; the flame cackling and hissing, sending little sparks up in the sky. Jaemin discreetly eyes Jeno from the corner of his eye, the fire illuminating his sharp features, making it appear even more beautiful in the night glow, accompanied by the flame light.
Jeno is always radiant, he deems.
His gaze falters a bit when he observes the quite smile that makes it way to his countenance, his subject of interest being you when you grace your presence at the party with your friends. You don't notice them just yet, and Jeno's eyes are permanently fixed on your every little movement, the quirk of his lips widening by the second.
You have him mesmerized.
Jeno finally tears his stare away from you, seemingly satisfied, a prominent beam gracing his visage. Jaemin feels a dull ache in his chest, reminding him of the reality, the quite sound of bass playing from the stereo adding to the melancholic atmosphere. He watches their silhouettes that is reflecting on the sand, shadows close and almost touching, yet in reality, they are drifting apart.
"I'm going to marry her," Jeno breaks the calm serenity (breaking Jaemin's heart alongside it). He tilts his head up, taking in the starry night, a content grin playing on his lips,
"I'm going to marry her, Jaem," he says again, this time with a reassuring smile on his face as he spares a glance towards Jaemin's direction.
Jaemin can only offer a tight smile in return, hoping it doesn't turn out like a grimace. Thankfully Jeno seems too busy in his own little world to notice the brooding silence that has taken over Jaemin.
By the end of the semester, things seems to have escalated because Jeno stands there with you in front of the whole class, a shy smile on your face and a contagious beam on his face as he announces,
"She said yes."
Loud cheers erupt in the class as confetti's drop everywhere, and amidst the celebration Jeno makes his way towards Jaemin, arms spread widely, ready to engulf his best man in a tight embrace,
"Congratulations, Jen. I'm so happy for you, both of you," Jaemin lies through his teeth, hoping, praying, that his voice doesn't break.
Jaemin dies a little within.
He lied, he died a whole lot more than little.
Tumblr media
why would you ever kiss me
I'm not even half as pretty
"You may kiss the the bride,"
The pastor informs and Jaemin watches, his heart twisting and flailing inside his chest, a thick lump forming in his throat, eyes filled to the brim with unshed tears, as Jeno and you seal a kiss, officially pronounced as married couple.
You looked so pretty in your white gown, the most gorgeous bride, Jaemin thinks, and Jeno is adorned in a black tuxedo, gone was the boy he knew when he was younger, now a refined and mature Jeno stood in front of you. A man full of committing promises, until death do you apart.
The ceremony is held during a warm spring day with only close family members and friends invited, at a local beach.
After entertaining the guests and spending some time with you and Jeno, Jaemin excuses himself to take a breather. He finds himself walking along the shore of the beach, away from the noisy chatter and blaring music behind him.
With his shoes in one hand, his feet digs into the sand, leaving prints before it is washed away by the water. It was almost metaphorical, as if reminding him that his existence will be diminishing from Jeno's life gradually. The waves align perfectly to the shore, covering his feet entirely at random intervals. And he walks and walks until the sound behind him is nothing but a white noise.
He also belatedly realizes his shoulder is trembling, vision blurring as tears are streaming down his cheeks, his resolve and endurance now breaking. He falls apart completely, silently weeping as he strides further away, huffing and gasping for air. It feels like someone's stepping on his chest, blocking his airway, making it hard for him to breathe. The crashing sound of waves and the cicadas singing provides him a bit of comfort, telling him he has got company, but is still not enough- it does not mount to the anguish that wells up inside of him.
He chokes on his tears, trying to breathe through his mouth, swallowing the thick lump forming in his throat. Jaemin could not even tell where it hurt the most because, it hurt everywhere. The searing pain was overbearing and everything becomes a throbbing memory, Jeno speaking his vows as he peers deeply into your eyes, voice cracking in between, so much love being conveyed from his stare alone, and how he kisses you tenderly by the end of it.
It's haunting him now, how he could never be you. How he never stood a chance. How pretty of a girl you are that it almost stung his eyes, how Jeno would never dream of kissing him.
He slow trudge ceases as he comes to a halt, wiping his tears with the back of his hand, and taking a deep breath.
It is not the end of the world, he tries to console himself. He'll be fine, eventually.
He takes solace in the fact knowing Jeno is loved and cared for by someone like you.
He will be okay, the last of his tears rolling down his cheeks.

Pedals
Hi! So this is a Hanahiki disease kind of story. I don’t really know why I wanted to make this (it was probably because I had a bad day and I wanted to hurt :)). But honestly, It was kinda fun! I apologize if it isn’t very good like my other works, I did just write this today! But it was still really fun!
Summary: You felt it in your chest, not only your physical reaction, but your heart felt it too. For the love you felt for Hawks.
Warnings: blood, coughing up pedals
No pronouns mentioned for the reader
Tumblr media
You stared down at your hand in horror.
No, this couldn’t be happening. This had to be some sick joke or some sort of dream. This couldn’t be real.
You felt your body become light, your eyes glued to your hand. Your head was spinning, “No,” your voice sounded so out of touch, so far gone, it surprised you. You couldn’t even recognize it, it didn’t sound like you, you practically mistook it for someone else’s. It was so scratchy, so raw, it didn’t feel right coming from you.
You shake your head, no, this was wrong, it had to be. There was no way you had fallen in love, it was impossible, how could you fall for someone?
But the pedals sat there, bloody in your hand. No matter how much you wanted them to just disappear, for this feeling to leave you, you knew it was impossible.
Your lungs filled with pain, your mind was practically numb, it hurts so bad. But not as bad as your heart. It felt so hard in your chest, like lead. You felt like your heart was sinking deeper down in the pit of your stomach.
You knew what this meant, yet you hoped it was just some sort of coincidence, some sort of weird happenstance.
The way your heart would flutter when he gave you that hero winning smile, the way your thoughts would numb whenever he talked, the way your eyes always landed on his lips. But you just pushed it away, you tried to convince yourself you just loved him as a friend.
But the evidence was right there, right on your palm, bloody and painful.
You were in love with Hawks.
And the only way to get rid of this disease? To get rid of your feelings.
Anxiety flowed through you, you didn’t want that, you didn’t want to get rid of your feelings for Hawks.
You loved the way your heart leaped when he would joke with you, the way you got butterflies in your stomach whenever he looked at you with those piercing golden eyes, and the way he smiled at you, it just made your mind go numb. It made you feel like you were the only person in the world like you were floating on a cloud in the sky.
You knew it was idiotic, but you couldn’t help it. You loved Hawks, and you didn’t want your feelings for him to go away.
But it hurt, it hurt so damn bad.
___
The only problem was, Hawks was so perceptive.
When you started to get more sickly, he picked up on it immediately, “Hey, is everything ok? You’re not getting’ sick on me are you now,” he smirked.
You rolled your eyes, “I’m fine, your just overthinking things you dumb bird.”
But Hawks could see through you, he didn’t know what exactly was going on, he just knew that something was wrong.
But then you started having bodily problems, stomach aches, mood swings, and even panic attacks.
He started to get so worried about you, he kept persistently asking, but you just blew him off, telling him it was nothing. That it was just seasonal allergies, and even when he had even offered to pay for a doctor's visit, you declined. “Really, Hawks, you're just overthinking. This happens to the rest of us sometimes, we can't all be perfect like you,” you smiled at him.
But even your smile seemed hollow.
He told you that he did his own research into your symptoms, he found different illnesses, but each one seemed to be different than what exactly you were experiencing.
He was stumped, “I couldn’t figure it out, I’m supposed to be a hero, I’m supposed to protect people, to help make them feel safe. So what kind of hero would I be if I can't even protect my  best friend?”
You just shrugged, “Just stop worrying about it, I promise I’m fine.”
“Yeah, but I hate it. I feel so stupid, I feel like I can’t protect you.”
Your heart fluttered at his words, he was worried about you. The sentiment was just so… cute. It was one of the reasons you didn’t want to get rid of your emotions, you liked feeling around Hawks. It just felt so right.
And if it caused you pain, so be it.
____
Your throat felt so sore.
It was getting worse day by day, not only the hurt of your lungs being filled by flower petals but also how your heart was breaking.
You hated not being able to tell Hawks, you really did. He was your friend, he cared so much for you, but it just made the realization that he wasn’t yours so much more daunting.
But you knew he would never reciprocate your feelings, you just did.
The way he flirted with other people, the way he would always be so charismatic with everyone. So, out of everyone he had to choose from, the beautiful models to the strong, confident hero’s he knew, why would he even consider you?
You sighed, currently, you were in your bathroom, coughing and crying, wishing for the pain to just go away.
Yet still, you loved feeling this way about Hawks, it just made you feel so amazing.
The only comparison you could make was, he was like a drug to you. You couldn’t stop it, he was your addiction, and you didn’t want to get rid of it, not yet, not ever.
____
But Hawks figured it out.
You two were getting take out, planning to just hang out and watch bad movies.
But you started coughing, and it didn’t stop.
“Y/N! Wow wow, ok, just breathe. What, is it some sort of allergic reaction? To the food ma-”
The pedal, in your hand, red from your blood.
You saw his eyes fill with shock, wha-” he looked at you, “what is this?”
You sighed, “I’m sorry, Hawks, I should have-”
“Who is it,” his hand clenched into a fist, “did they reject you? Why haven't you gone to get it removed? Do you need money? Why didn’t you tell-”
He stoped talking when you started coughing again, a hard, pianfill sounding thing., he held you as you coughed into your hand, blood splatting the pedals.
“H-Hawks please,” your voice was so weak, so frail. He nodded, leading you into his bathroom, setting you down on the floor. He sat next to you, rubbing your back as you coughed. After you had stopped, you finally answered his questions, “I haven't gone to the doctor because… I don’t want to.”
He looked at you, in shock, “What? Why not? You would rather die?”
You smiled, a sad, hurt, smile, “I suppose, I mean, it hurts, but I love him.”
_____
You tried to get better, for Hawks’ sake.
But you didn’t get the procedure, no matter how much Hawks begged, saying even if you were the most heartless person after, he would still be with you.
But you would just smile at him, shaking your head, “I told you, I love him. I don’t ever want to stop loving him.”
You two were on the rooftop of Hawks’ penthouse staring up at the stars when it happened.
You coughed, so hard.
Hawks was by your side in an instant, but you were too weak, too weak to even sit up. So Hawks just cradled you against him, holding you to his chest.
You had never seen Hawks cry, but here he was, under the beautiful stars, crying, begging you not to leave him, saying he would do anything to make you stay.
You reached up, wiping away his tears, “Don’t cry. You’ll be ok, I’m sorry we couldn’t spend more time together. I wish we could have, we could have traveled the world together, stayed together. I’m sorry.”
His tears still streamed down his cheeks, “Please Y/N, you can’t leave me, please.”
You smiled at him, feeling the end nearing, “It was you Hawks, I love you. I love you so much, it hurts but I never wanted to stop loving you. But I knew you never felt the same, but it was ok, because as long as I got to see you and spend time with you, I was happy, so happy. I love you, Hawks, and I’ll never stop loving you. I made this decision,” you stroked his cheek as his face turned to one of shock, “so please, don’t blame yourself.”
For a moment, everything was still, then he spoke, “I LOVE YOU TOO! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, DON’T GO! PLEASE, STAY!”
But it was too late, you were gone, you didn’t even hear the words of his confession.
