For a while now I’ve desperately wanted down bad s5 Mike Wheeler who panics whenever Will is too closer, or when he accidentally touches his arm or nudges his shoulder, or when they make eye contact for longer than usual and and

Well, I have changed my mind. Yes, let him be down bad. But… okay this part is difficult to say, because Will is my baby and I want his suffering to stOP already, but I know that to do the last season justice Will will have to suffer a lot this season. And I don’t want him to suffer, but I really want him to suffer.

Let him suffer again, which leads to Mike suffering because Will is suffering, and when he realises that Will might not make it out alive (I mean, none of them have a guaranteed survival rate, but Will might get Vecna’d or something), he… well, he panics. As he should.

And suddenly, Will Byers finds himself constantly in the company of Mike Wheeler. Mike keeps seeking physical contact, he refuses to leave Will’s side, he starts saying the most affectionate things that could easily be taken in the wrong way, that’s how sappy they are. And Mike keeps sending him strange looks, too, and this is when Will realises that it’ll be veeery difficult for him to hide his feelings for Mike, for the first time in a long time. He’s gotten good at it, pretending as if the feelings aren’t there. He accepts them and acknowledges their existence in his own head, but hes done everything to not let them show. And now…

Well, it’s gonna be more difficult now, with Mike following him around like some lovesick puppy… which is frankly ridiculous, because if there’s anyone who’s lovesick of them two it’s Will. And Mike is straight! He is!
