Everyone makes mistakes

....But most of us don't turn them into aesthetically pleasing pieces of art.

Sierra Siemer does just that in her project titled "Apophenia". Which by definition refers to the randomness, yet meaningfulness of information in general.

Sierra, inspired by her work while print making in school, made a decision to allow her errors to just happen. And her end result is something I personally had never really seen before. 

Sierra not only spoke about her show but she also spoke about her experience in creating it. Apparently, Sierra is a self proclaimed 'perfectionist'. There's definite irony in the fact that a perfectionist would work so closely with error. Wouldn't she be dying to just fix every little thing? The answer is yes.

It is evident that she still has trouble letting go of control in order to allow these natural, yet somehow successful, glitches and errors to occur. This internal struggle that she is experiencing makes her creations even more interesting, and even more successful in my eyes.
