WEEK 5 - Wrap Up
You Pissing Excellence? It’s Week 5 - you better be!
youtube
I can’t believe it but we are fast approaching the half way point of this fantasy season. And I know I have spent the past few weeks encouraging you and telling you it’s okay, don’t worry, there’s a lot of time left, you can do it kind of stuff- but the reality is - it’s time for some tough love. It’s time to get your crap together guys. I know there are lots of injuries. I know that there are issues with covid. Enough with the excuses. We know. Life is hard. In the words of the great Ricky Bobby - if you’re not first your last. Seems drastic and harsh but it’s true. Especially in 2020 fantasy football.
MOOSES ON THE LOOSES vs TuPADRE
Both Mitch and Andy are having great seasons. What a match up. 3-1 against 3-1 and you know neither one of these guys wanted to lose to the other. But this isn’t flag football for a bunch of Mllennials where everyone gets a trophy. Someone has to lose and this week it was Gullahorn. How did the Moose do it yet again? It really wasn’t that impressive. Just a few good numbers from Jacobs, Metcalf and the Rams Defense...otherwise it was pretty normal numbers from his side. Gully just didn’t have a big enough night from Kamara, which he was banking on...so he takes the loss. Congrats Mitch - you ARE pissing excellence.
TRADE WITH ME vs HOWARD
What!!!! Howard with only 65 points this week? Brett Rutledge after a 3 game losing streak - winning?!?!?! How? Well I will tell you how....Howard just sucked really really bad. I can’t remember the last time someone put up so few points. I mean - Gabe did last week but, well, I won’t go into all that. Rob, that was horrible. I know you know that and I know you also lost survivor so you are really wanting to forget this week but it will be forever remembered here on Tumblr. Congrats Brett. Maybe this is the spark you needed to get the Ricky Bobby mentality. Nice win!
BOOMER SOONER vs BACKDOOR BANDITS
Who thought Stu had it in him to put together a 142 point game and take down Kyle Allmendinger (a fantasy football legend). Very impressive Stu and a great win after two consecutive losses. I guess if you keep going and win another next week - we won’t consider this win a joke. Oh, wait never mind you play Brett next week so you better win! Congrats...I see big things on the horizon for you my friend. Kyle, I am at a loss. You move to 1-4. What the hell is going on? What are you doing down there in Little Rock during Covid? Are you working a lot? Building a house? Whatever it is - keep doing it!
LANAKILA vs FUNK GUY
Poor Dana. He just can’t catch a break with this Covid attack on the Titans, players on bye weeks, and as you saw from the group chat this weekend he is very passionate about league rules...tons of stress going on! And now you add a loss to end his 3 game winning streak. It’s not good. We all need to be concerned for him. I have seen it happen where a loss like this happens and then another and another and pretty soon a guy like Dana will be picking up only New York Giants off the waivers. It can go down hill so fast. Nice win Cliff. Big Monday night from Sanders and Brees. Congrats!
TREE HUGGERS vs LONG LEFT BALLERS
This was a fun one to watch. Scott had to put together a really good night on Monday night football to even stay in it...and I would say 15 points from your kicker does qualify as a “good night”. Scott benefited from the Saints going into overtime and those extra points kept him alive going into the rare Tuesday night match up...between the Titans and Bills. Bebo has Devin Singletary left to play and just needs 2.75 points to win. I checked after the Monday night game and the lowest Singletary has had this season was in week 1 against the jets he put up 5.30 points so unless the game is Covid Cancelled - I predict Bebo as the winner. (yes, writing on Monday night...habit). Good try Scott but these Long Left Ballers are getting good!
USUCK vs MR. AWESOME
Yeah, I’ll admit it. This is how I am feeling on Monday night...up by 71.64 points but Gabe still has Tannehill, Henry and Titans D to play on Tuesday night. Do I want good things for my friend Gabe...of course I do. I love the guy. Do I want to be the first one to lose to him this season? HELL NO! I should relax right? 71 points is a pretty big lead...but I keep doing the math and thinking it’s totally possible that this well rested Titans team could go off and every touchdown will be a toss to Henry from Tannehill and I am toast. Also, did I mention I lost Dak Prescott this week. So yeah, I am have a little panic and will amend if I don’t win but at 10:47 on Monday night I am thinking I am going to win. Hopefully.
SURVIVOR
Rob is out. 5 remain. Krippayne, Gabe, Dana, Brett, Gullahorn.
HIGH POINT WINNER
Yes - you guessed it...this week’s high point winner is STU JONES! With 142.90 points. Nice job Stu...$20 for you! So when choosing your Picture Prize I immediately thought pro female golfer...but then I stumbled upon rock climber Sierra Blair Coyle and I knew she was perfect. Blonde, fit, patriotic - all the things I thought you would like. I don’t know much about her except she’s very good at rock climbing and to rock climb you must be in wonderful condition. You can follow her on instagram at @sierrablaircoyl (no e on the instragram handle).
Also - BONUS PICTURE PRIZE...while googling - hottest female athletes - google filled in Inmates instead of athletes..and there are literally images of hot inmates / mug shots....LOL. Here was my favorite.
Good luck in week 6.

Hailing from Scottsdale, Arizona, 23-year-old Sierra Blair-Coyle has been competing professionally since the age of 14. Voted one of the Top 99 Most Outstanding Women of 2015 by AskMen, she has also been a World Cup Competitor (2010-2016), and was a two-time National Champion as a junior competitor. Sierra graduated in May 2016 from Arizona State University with a degree in marketing. She now enjoys traveling the world competing and doing what she loves full-time.
HealthGreatness: You started rock climbing when you were 14, that’s definitely a different choice than your regular sports like soccer or lacrosse, how did you get into rock climbing? Sierra: actually started climbing when I was 8, I started climbing professionally when I was 14. I got into climbing at a local mall by my house. There was a small climbing wall there and I would beg my parents to take me back everyday to climb! I loved it so much that I told my parents I wanted to become a professional rock climber. At the time they didn’t know that climbing was an organized sport. Luckily a few weeks later there was an article in the newspaper on a local climbing team. Once my mom saw that article she took me to the gym and I joined the team!
HealthGreatness: You are a beast at rock climbing and have been competing for years, what is your weekly training schedule like? Sierra: Usually I climb 3 days on, 1 day off, then repeat! On the first and third day of my climbing days I strength train in the morning, do a lajstice (it’s basically a ladder at a 35 degree angle that you climb up and down with your arms) workout midday, then climb at night. On the second day I just climb, which is a great break from the 3 workouts I do on the first and third day!
HealthGreatness: What are some of your favorite exercises for this sport? Sierra: I love doing burpee pull ups. They’re really fun and translate well to climbing. Other than that I like to do V ups, hollow body holds, step ups, off-set pull ups, and dips.
HealthGreatness: What is your diet like when you are competing? Sierra: My diet is mainly fruits, veggies, and lean meats. A typical pre competition meal for me would be some type of meat and sweet potatoes with coconut oil. I also eat a lot of salads and drink a lot of veggie juice to make sure I get enough greens.
HealthGreatness: You compete all over the world in the most beautiful scenic places, what is your favorite place to climb? Sierra: Honestly my favorite place to climb is Priest Draw in Flagstaff, Arizona. It’s in my home state, but I have always loved it. I also loved climbing at Kalymnos in Greece, it was beautiful!
HealthGreatness: What are some tips you can give beginner climbers or someone who wants to get started in climbing? Sierra: The best way to get started in climbing is to literally just try it! If you go into your local climbing gym and get a day pass you will have an awesome time. Generally the staff and other climbers are incredibly helpful and are more than willing to point you in the right direction. After your first time climbing it’s important to remember that your skin, hands, and forearms won’t hurt that badly every time you climb :) Once you’re into climbing I think the best thing you can do is climb as much as possible so you gain a great knowledge of movements and build your technique and strength. As you progress your workouts narrow down…but as a beginner the best thing you can do is climb!
HealthGreatness: You have been competing over 6 years, what are you goals for the next few years? Sierra: Now that I am out of University I am enjoying just focusing on climbing. I hope to continue to improve my climbing abilities and placements at the World Cup’s. I am really looking forward to pushing myself as much as possible!
HealthGreatness: When not competing, what do you like to do for fun? Sierra: I’m definitely a big relaxer…I have binge watched many shows on Netflix! I also really love baking/cooking, reading, watching movies, and going on adventures (non-climbing related!).
HealthGreatness: Do you have a motto you live by? Sierra: I am definitely quote obsessed, but I have always liked “train hard, win easy”. Another one of my favorite is “The highest compliment you can pay me is to say that I work hard every day, that I never dog it” -Wayne Gretzky.
HealthGreatness: We never interviewed a rock climber before and it seems like an under-rated sport, what do you want people to know about rock climbing? Sierra: Rock climbing is really fun and if you follow the proper safety precautions it is a very safe sport! There is always some risk, but I think many people view it as dangerous.
