#siena needs a man who is an orphan who is also rich

Anthony x Siena? :)

I enjoyed them. basically everything in s1 was way more interesting than daphne, if we're being honest. 

within the context of the show and stepping aside from the books, anthony x siena are tragic and passionate. there is love---it probably started off as them fucking around and having fun but the more time they spent together it clearly turned into something deeper or it wouldnt have hurt either of them so much when he ends it. 

i think some fans (bc they're thinking about the books) treat them as superficial but that’s not what either of the actors are portraying. you are supposed to see this as a passionate, complicated and valid relationship. bc it is. just bc it’s doomed doesn’t mean it wasn't real. 

we know siena deserves better and we know anthony isnt it bc he’s always going to put family and duty first; and siena needs someone who is going to put her first. she cannot compete with his mother and 7 other siblings. its just not going to happen. and he can’t leave his family and he can’t combine these aspects of his life. he is not even good at separating them bc he’s late to daphne’s debutante bash. and even when he ends things, he still cannot focus bc he ends up making rash decisons (trying to marry daphne off to that old dude). 

siena is right when she says he’s lost and violet is right when she says that he needs to decide if he’s going to be head of the family or not. like, these are all valid criticisms. 

all in all, i liked them. they were sexy, fun and sad. doomed? yes. but i think that makes them more interesting. their final break up, instigated by siena on her terms was necessary. good character growth on her part and good for anthony bc i think in that moment he needed to not have control and learn fm that. 

i think anthony and siena are one of those pairings that love each other but their needs as separate people are too different to make it work in the long run and that’s not even taking into consideration that they're from different social classes.
