*Aleksandar Nikolic Salonu'nda saat 21:00'de başlayacak olan Basketbol Şampiyonlar Ligi Normal Sezon H Grubu ikinci maçı. Geçen hafta Murcia deplasmanında büyük bir destana imza atan temsilcimiz bu sefer Sırbistan'da. Rakip de ilk maçını kazanmıştı. Yine zorlu bir atmosfer bizi bekliyor. Buradan da galibiyeti kazıyıp çıkarmaya bakacağız. Takımımıza yürekten başarı dileklerimizi sunuyoruz.

*Tivibu Spor 3'ten naklen yayınlanacak olan maç.

*İlk çeyreğin bitimiyle FMP 20-17 önde. 2-0 sonrasında 4 sayı peş peşe bulmuştuk. FMP ise oradan 6 sayılık seriyle döndü. Sırp ekibi daha sonra son saniyeye kadar üstünlüğünü korudu. Bir an 1 sayı kadar yaklaştık ama olmadı. Erteledik diyelim.

*İlk yarıyı Manisa 48-44 ile üstün kapatmayı başardı. Dengeli bir oyun izledik bir süre. 31-30 onların üstünlüğünden sonra Manisa'dan 14-3'lük seri geldi ve farkı çift hanelere taşıdık. Sonrasında FMP'den bir refleks gördük ve şu an için yakın geçen bir heyecan söz konusu.

*Üçüncü periyot sonunda FMP 70-69 yaptı. Skor üstünlüğü ağırlıkla bizdeydi aslında. İki taraf da yine bol üretkendi. Artık son 10 dakikada heyecan katlanacak.

*101-97 kazanan Manisa 2'de 2 yapmayı başardı! Buradan da çıkıyoruz yine. Helal olsun. Beklendiği gibi heyecanlı bir oyun vardı. FMP 82-80 önde olduktan sonra Manisa'dan 14-6'lık bir sekans geldi. O andan sonra bayağı rahatladık ve çift haneyi gördük tekrar. FMP maçı 6 sayılık seriyle bitirse de fark eridi sadece. Yine müthiş bir geceye imza attı temsilcimiz. Tüm ekibe gönülden teşekkürlerimizi sunuyoruz. FMP SoccerBet'te Danilo Tasic 25, Matic Rebec 20 sayı gönderdi. Manisa Basket'te ise Saben Lee 43 sayıyla damgasını vurdu ve Sidigas Avellino formasıyla 22 Ocak 2019'da Bandırma'ya 43 sayı atan Keifer Sykes'ın rekoruna ortak olarak bir Basketbol Şampiyonlar Ligi maçında en çok sayı atan oyunculardan oldu. Kendisini ayrıca tebrik ediyoruz. Hugo Besson 21 sayı kaydetti.

Atlanta Hawks Acquire Antawn Jamison from Clippers In Salary Dump

On February 20th, 2014, the Los Angeles Clippers traded forward Antawn Jamison and cash to the Atlanta Hawks for the draft rights to center Cenk Akyol.

After one season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Antawn Jamison decided to move to a different locker room within the halls of Staples Center. The veteran forward signed with the contending Clippers for the veteran’s minimum of $1.4 million. 

Jamison was an afterthought in the Clippers rotation as he didn’t play in Los Angeles’ first 14 games. When he did play, Jamison was largely ineffective. In 22 games and 11.3 MPG, Jamison experienced career-lows across the board with a 7.8 PER, 3.8 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 0.3 APG, 31.5% from the field and 19.5% from beyond the arc.

As the Clippers were nearing the deadline, they wanted to cut salary to fall below the luxury tax threshold. Dealing Jamison and center Byron Mullens dropped the Clippers’ payroll to $71.3 million, which was under the luxury tax threshold of $72.5 million.

When both trades became official, Jamison and Mullens both got off of the Clippers’ charter flight to Memphis before it departed. Jamison sent a text to the LA Times during this turbulent time:

"Yeah, just found out I was traded. Getting off plane now.”

Cenk Akyol originally was a 2005 second round draft pick (selected 59th) of the Atlanta Hawks. The Turkish guard remained with Turkish team Efes Pilsen through 2009. Akyol spent one season in Italy with Sidigas Avellino, and had returned to Turkey after. When the 2014 trade was consummated, Akyol was still playing in Turkey.

Jamison was waived by the Hawks the day after the trade. After clearing waivers, Jamison was not picked up by a team. In a 2016 interview with the Washington Times, Jamison said that he asked for his release from Atlanta and had intended to retire.

In the summer of 2014, Jamison expressed a desire to continue his career and had an interest in joining his hometown Charlotte Hornets. After getting a lukewarm response from the Hornets he eventually retired and later joined TWC Sportsnet as a Lakers analyst.

Akyol remained in Turkey after the deal. His draft rights were traded once again to the Philadelphia 76ers with guard Jared Cunningham and cash for the draft rights to Sergei Lishouk in January of 2005.

Los Angeles Clippers senior vice president of basketball operations and head coach Doc Rivers on the two trades that the Clippers made at the deadline (via LA Times):

“That’s more cap room for this summer. From a coaching standpoint, those are moves that [don’t] necessarily make your team better, but from a team standpoint it was the right thing to do because it gives us a little more room cap room.”

On Antawn Jamison:

“I think Antawn did everything we asked him to do. What I really decided was, if we’re going to go small, I like Duds [Jared Dudley] at that position more rather than a four with his ability to stretch the floor and then we bring in Turk [Hedo Turkoglu].”

Atlanta Hawks general manager Danny Ferry on acquiring Jamison (via Atlanta Journal-Constitution):

“We’ll look at Antawn over the next couple of days and decide if it’s the best fit for each other. We haven’t talked to him yet, and we’ll make decisions accordingly.

“Regarding Antawn, I have personal experience with him from the year we were together in Cleveland. He was, and always has been, the ultimate professional and high-class guy. That is his trademark within the NBA. He really is a gentleman.”
