Colors TV Falls Pray To Their Own Biases

It all began with Bigg Boss Season 12 when Dipika Kakkar was crowned instead of Sreesanth followed by Bigg Boss Season 13 where Sidharth Shukla was declared the winner instead of Shehnaaz Kaur Gill or Asim Riaz, Season 14 had Rubina Dilaik walking away with the trophy instead of Rahul Vaidya or Nikki Tamboli and finally Bigg Boss Season 15 saw Tejasswi Prakash clinching the trophy instead of a much deserving Pratik Sehajpal.

It was seemingly clear that Colors was playing favourites and winner of this reality show was always their face. Most of tue viewers online expressed their discomfort towards the way things used to pan out of the show and it was almost certain that the makers played favourites and. Infact Rubina in a recent interview had even mentioned that the show is very well scripted.

Will all this negative publicity going on, Bigg Boss Season 15 hit rock bottom. However, for Colors, there was a lot riding in Season 16 and that’s the reason they decided to involve Bigg Boss in the entire process, which clearly meant that the ultimate control was with the channel itself. They could manipulated the show they way the wanted to.

Bigg Boss Season 16 was lopsided from the word go. Followed are some of my observations:

1. Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia was given a clear advantage when she was crowned as the first captain of the house as she entered the house first. Something that was a move by the channel

2. Every time Sajid Khan was nominated, there are NO Eliminations. Sajid was never eventually, but left the show due to PRIOR COMMITMENTS

3. Surprisingly neither Sajid Khan nor MC Stan were never reprimanded by Bigg Boss as they were never actively involved in most of the tasks. Infact, in one of the tasks, Abdu Rozik did all that he could knowing very well that he had a physical disadvantage, while Sajid and MC sat in one corner protesting. Sad, but true

4. Ankit Gupta was so right when he said that all the tasks were surrounded around food. Also, the fact that the makers had to give them then basic food, irrespective of the task, something that most of the housemates were very well aware off and that’s why did not give their hundred percent

5. Eliminations happened as per the continence of the channel. They consider the votes when they wanted to, and when the need be, asked the housemates or a selected few to eliminate a housemate, which was so very lopsided

6. MC Stan never participated in any of the activities that the celebrities asked them to be a part of. Infact when Jannat Zubair had asked all of them to make a reel with her, MC Sir quietly stood in on corner

7. For the first time, the makers were openly calling housemates in the confession room and indirectly telling them who they should nominate

8. A Parent is more powerful than anyone in the world. So Sumbul Touqeer Khan’s father actually had held the channel on gun point, made the makers wait till he finished saying what he had to and made them telecast the phone call as well

Coming to the winner of this season, Shiv Thakare, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary were the front runners, but sadly they were all Faces Of Colours!!

From here on started their dilemma. If Shiv, Nimrit or Priyanka would have lifted the trophy, though this time all three were deserving, then the channel would have had to face a lot of music of being biased. So from here on started their permutations combinations.

The channel pushed Nimrat almost up to the finale, but with all the negative publicity, they evicted her with a handful of audience that went in to vote. Priyanka Chahar Choudhary was a clear winner this season, but was pushed out at the last minute. Now it was Shiv who was left.

The channel could not have anyways make him the winner as he has already won Bigg Boss Marathi Season 02 and was once again a channel face. So here it was MC Stan who was handed over the trophy in the hope that viewers would seemingly thing this one to be FAIR!!

If I was given a chance, then this year Abdu Rozik should have been the winner as he was the only housemate who was fair, played with all his heart and had a very clear understanding even though he had an huge language barrier.

Just An Innocent Question: if the voting lines were shut at 02:00 pm, how come the makers, who knew the winner almost twelve hours in advance, never had the time to print a simple name on the cheque that’s normally handed over to the winner!!

All in all, Colors TV fell pray to the own bias as this year, because unlike the previous seasons, this year a deserving Colours face was a clear winner!!

Winning or losing does not matter, but fair play does!!

Sidharth Shukla, 'Balika Vadhu' star, 'Bigg Boss 13' winner, dies at 40

Popular television and film actor Sidharth Shukla, best known for his role in the long running TV show Balika Vadhu, died on Thursday, an official at the Cooper Hospital here said. He was 40. Shukla suffered a massive heart attack in the morning, accoridng to media reports. He is survived by his mother and two sisters.

"He was brought dead to the hospital some time ago," the senior Cooper Hospital official told PTI.

Sidharth Shukla's early life

Shukla attended St. Xavier's High School, Fort, Mumbai and holds a bachelor's degree in Interior Design from Rachana Sansad School of Interior Design. He played against Italian football club, AC Milan’s under-19 team, on their Mumbai visit as part of Festa Italiana.

After completing bachelor's degree in interior design, Shukla worked in an interior designing firm for a couple of years.

Sidharth Shukla as a TV star

In 2008, he made his acting debut with a lead role in the television show Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na on Sony TV. From there he went on to act in several shows. However, it was social drama series Balika Vadhu, which earned him widespread recognition and popularity, including several awards and nominations.

In 2014, Shukla made his Bollywood debut in the romantic comedy Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania in a supporting role. He has hosted popular Indian shows like Savdhaan India,  Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 and India's Got Talent 7.

In 2019, he participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 13, and was declared the winner in February 2020.

Bigg Boss OTT: Urfi Javed evicted

Urfi Javed was the first Bigg Boss OTT candidate to be eliminated on Sunday. Despite the fact that she was not nominated, she found herself in a dangerous situation as a result of her link. Zeeshan Khan chose Divya Agarwal as his partner. Raqesh Bapat and Shamita Shetty were nominated this week.

Urfi was saddened when Zeeshan chose Divya and granted her immunity. She told her co-contestants that she felt betrayed by her old friend while bawling her heart out. However, she was spotted chuckling a few moments later, declaring that she would not spend her tears on backstabbers.

Urfi had a variety of personalities throughout her brief appearance on the reality show. Her outgoing demeanour and the way she handled Pratik Sehajpal drew her in. Urfi also showed off her artistic abilities in a recent episode when she created a gorgeous costume out of waste bags.

Before appearing on the show, the Puncch Beat star described herself as "bold and crazy" and stated that, despite her youth, she would not be underestimated. “My endurance is also my strength. Anything and everything is tolerable to me. My patience may be a flaw, but I know I can handle anyone,” Urfi explained.

Shehnaaz Gill and Sidharth Shukla appeared on Bigg Boss OTT Sunday Ka Vaar, which was hosted by Karan Johar and featured Shehnaaz Gill and Sidharth Shukla, who answered many interesting questions from fans.

With Urfi's departure, Akshara Singh, Neha Bhasin, Raqesh Bapat, Zeeshan Khan, Ridhima Pandit, Karan Nath, Divya Agarwal, Pratik Sehejpal, Nishant Bhatt, Muskaan Jattana, and Milind Gaba are now vying for the top spot.

The gorgeous Rashami Desai has been in the news of late, courtesy her recent visit to Bigg Boss 14. For the unversed, the popular television actress visited the reality show during the family week to extend her support to her dear friend Vikas Gupta. The 'Uttaran' star not just motivated Vikas to play the game well but also asked Jasmin Bhasin and Aly Goni for not bullying Vikas by dragging his personal issues into the show. Rashami asked them to not discuss other's personal matters on the show.

Post her visit, Jasmin told Aly that Rashami has targeted him as he is her friend. She also stated that the Naagin 4 actress’ comments were actually meant for her as they are not on good terms. Soon after this episode was aired, Rashami tweeted, 'Just wanna clear the air what I told @AlyGoni to play for him self was only for him and not for anyone else. And I feel his a good player.” Well, it did not stop here.

Following this, Jasmin's team tweeted from the actress' verified handle, “@TheRashamiDesai’s definition of bullying is totally off the hook. If talking about personal agendas in the house is bullying then you have bullied the most. That's all you did in your season, dragged personal grudges into the show.”

Reacting to it, the Dil Se Dil Tak star said she was only giving a piece of advice to her and Aly out of her own experience on the show. Meanwhile, Rashami and Jasmin had worked together in the show Dil Se Dil Tak. The show also featured Sidharth Shukla in the lead role. While Jasmin is a close friend of Sidharth, she reportedly does not share a cordial relation with Rashami.

As we all know Mondays’ are meant for nominations day in the Bigg Boss house and as always Bigg Boss added a twist wherein each contestant was asked to name a contestant, who they want to save from nominations.

Most of the contestants chose the members of their clan to save them from the elimination. Whereas Mahira Sharma betrayed her own group and instead of taking Rashami or Devoleena’s name, Mahira chose the new card entrant Vishal Aditya Singh. Rashami was seen disturbed and hurt by Mahira’s disloyalty toward’s her own team. Later, Rashami was seen telling Devoleena that she will now play her own game.
