every time i'm reminded that Mamoru Hosoda, he of the relatively simple domestic stories like Wolf Children and Mirai and Belle, also did storyboards on key episodes of Utena, i feel absolutely delighted. like, i take issues with his writing sometimes, but damn if the man doesn't have visual flair
