Rule Breaker
Summary: A hot friend comes to stay at your house while your dad is away. Too bad that a romance between the two of you is against the rules...
App: Episode Written by: Sandra Gustafsson #CC #WLW #MLM #$$ Genre: Romance Style: Animated Music: No
Good points: - You can choose to have the swear words censored. It's a small addition but a nice one nonetheless if swearing bothers you. - Finally a story that isn't gender-locked! You can choose your gender and the gender of your love interest. - DIVERSITY. - Being rude to the toxic people in MC's life is very satisfying. - The relationship between MC and the love interest feels strangely realistic...? They're not immediately drooling over each other's faces, we don't know what the LI is thinking, they act very professional, they even ask the MC to go somewhere else while they have a date over (that part felt a bit too real... ouch). At no point was I rolling my eyes at their interactions and I could identify with the LI a lot more than with MC. - Quick sidenote for a character I appreciate: Ryan, our loser ex's friend. Good on him for stepping in and telling the ex off when things between him and MC were getting out of hand. Ryan alone made me want to raise the rating by half a point. Bad points: - We're supposed to be 18 in this story and our love interest 24. That's ok, although slightly unconventional. But we're given a choice to "lie" and say we're 21 instead. I just wish the main character was really 21 is all... Because the love interest honestly feels more like a protective older sibling than anything else in this story. - Important details are hidden behind a paywall. Like the reason why the love interest is friends with the MC's dad. - The protagonist has no emotions whatsoever. She almost feels robotic. The animations aren't used properly in this story, making for pretty awkward dialogue. - There is no way I'm buying this romance between these two main characters. There is such a huge gap in maturity, I just don't want it to happen.
CHOICES
- Premium scenes that should really be free. The free experience for this story is extremely boring. - There are lots of choices which let us decide what kind of person our MC is. From sweet and polite to rude and sarcastic. They don't seem to affect the plot at all but it gives us something to do while reading through some boring expository dialogue.
After three episodes: DROPPED
6.5/10
