I both love and hate the valiant episode because I love how instantly Arthur takes Merlin at his word (he was always honorable. He always on some level respected the opinions of the people around him ESPECIALLY MERLIN, even when he was still naive and spoiled) but I hate how it gets turned against them and makes arthur and merlin's relationship worse instead.

Honestly I think I just hate seeing any scene where Uther plays a significant role on some level bc he sucks balls. Terrible opinion to have when Uther is a major character for a majority of the show but don't worry about it

#sidenote abt this episode: valiant did NOT have to use his shield on that random knight #he had him down already #he was keeping him down with the shield as it was #and the way he actually knocked him out and won was by hitting him on the head with the pommel of his sword #like bro you were good you didn't need to risk it for the biscuit like that #merlin liveblog
