Gosh i now have this solid headcanon that Collins is most definitely a Chopin fan , as well as really good at playing the piano so he just spontaneously starts playing a piece whenever he’s stressed at home. when he doesn’t have access to a piano he taps his fingers and hums the tune.

after finally accepting the fact you indeed did not shift and are not dreaming, you finally looked at the man who had stayed silent during your incoherent ramblings

“you seem more awake now, is it alright if i ask a few questions?”

you both honestly take this whole time shift thing really well

louis definitely walks in on you two and he’s like,,

note that you’ve already been at the moriarty estate for about two months without any word that you can return to your own time

you taught him what a boyfriend was and he couldn’t stop thinking about how much society’s view on relationships changed

is walking down the streets at night when he sees you barreling down the road in your clothes

you look pretty scathed when you run right into him

you’re scared and out of breath but he’s wearing what you can only assume is a uniform of england

he takes you to his place and tries to calm you down

he asks you questions and you tell him everything straight out

you know you look crazy but you couldn’t bring yourself to care

you were just walking back from a friend’s place IN BROAD DAYLIGHT and you felt dizzy and you woke up alone in a dark alleyway

“where are you from?”

you obviously give him your city but he corrects himself

“what year are you from?”

“2019”

doesn’t want to believe you bc you’re all frantic and maybe insane

but your clothes just seem to different for him to brush off the possibility

tells you to sleep it off and gives you his bed

he’s already writing a letter to his brothers that he’s possibly coming back with someone

“ohoho brother albert has a suitor now?”

anyways, albert asks you more questions about your other life as you’re both on the train to durham

albert went out to buy you more fitting clothes before leaving and you couldn’t even repay him

but he tries to get you in a comfortable position so you don’t spiral again

but he’s genuinely nice about it when he finally accepts the fact that you are in fact from the future

funny enough, you both don’t get each others names until you get onto the train

“oh, my name is albert james moriarty”

and you’re briefly like “oh like sherlock’s nemesis” but then you remember that this is only the victorian era

sherlock holmes doesn’t exist, it’s just a coincidence

so you both get to the manor and he introduces you to the moriarty team and this is where you’re like,,

oh my God

this is real and i know the ending

you suddenly want to travel back further in time and never meet them bc they’re all really sweet towards you

and you got attached to them more than you should have

albert notices you’re a little tense so he makes small conversation to get your mind off of things

“i do like to play the piano”

bro

they have a piano delivered to the house to make you feel more comfortable and hopefully keep you occupied

itching and nostalgic (ironic), you play songs from rachmaninoff and joe hisaishi, despite it being from the future

everyone knows chopin so shhh

“that’s beautiful, did you compose that?”

“no, but another composer did, i don’t even think he exists yet”

you’re very adamant on keeping things the same

like,, no i’m not going to tell you how to create a washing machine because i don’t want to mess up the timeline if i do go back to the future

you do get very sad occasionally because you are homesick and being placed in a world where you have only heard stories of is very disorienting

but albert and the boys make up for it

albert always tries to be by your side and if he can get his hands on a piano sheet he’ll buy one for you and see if you already know it

it’s always nice to have them around, but you know the troubles you’ll eventually have to face

1) ok flashback to s01e19 aka the ep where kanae and beethoven coupled off: Beethoven was so scared hjsdlgsndkfj KANAE FOUND HIM HIDING UNDER THE SINK BLUSHING MADLY AND SHE GOES ‘Do u have a fever???’ like a good normal friend AND HE FLIPS OUT “DON’T LOOK AT ME” AND SLAMS THE DOOR hhhh

2) Beethoven is already blushing when he catches her hand to save her from falling (even tho if u “die” dont you escape the muzik anyways? Evidenced by Sousuke chasing Bada, he fell and he was fine, maybe they didnt know that and thought sosuke was dead or something tho

3) b...beethoven.... she says “you’re pretty manly today” he literally short-circuits he turns highlighter pink and then they immediately escape muzik

4) Interestingly enough none of the other couples showed effects outside of the muzik world? Chopin and schubert didnt have any romantic moments, there was nothing w lizst and sousuke, implying the feelings created within muzik didn’t last in the real world, but even after they escaped beethoven was Shookt.... He was frozen and clutching kanae’s hands (and kanae was blushing hehe) and even when mozart talked to him directly he didnt snap out of it until kanae mentioned music

5) The source of the muzik (clakla) had already left by the time kanae and beethes paired off. Take that how u will

6) OK THIS MOST RECENT EP! s02E07 I WAS HOPING FOR SOME KANABEET which is a stupid sounding pairing name but i cant think of a better one .... Beetkana..kanaeet... Hjsdlnskdjf

7) ok. i. In the beginning when everyone’s turning down kanae’s hand in marriage (poor kanae) all the others give normal reasons (motz is a hoe, sousuke is her best friend, schubert is gay for beethes, chopin loves nothing except his computer games) but beethes says straight up “you rejected me once my broken heart wont heal so soon” which. i dont even know what to say . he literally said it out loud matter of fact.... it was kinda hysterical but on the other hand hes fucking in love with her

8) DURING THE HOUSE MAZE GAME! side note motz’s speech was actually really sweet but that’s beside the point, when she’s rejecting sousuke Beethoven triggers his muzik? I can’t remember how much control beethoven has over it, but muzik has historically been triggered by strong emotion... take that as you will... and beethes is the first to pull it out. Schubert can apparently activate his on command (?) by saying “life is beautiful” (and ok last ep Wataru fuckign destroyed him with the cultural appropriation thing that was fantastic) and motz seems to join in just to have fun, lizst because she’s moved by what she percieves to be everyones love for kanae (but really it’s just that. she bribed all of them... hsdjglsndlkfj) but beethes’ motivation is.. up in the air.

9) ESPECIALLY BC OF WHAT HE SAYS WHEN HE STARTS USING IT... “if my thoughts and feelings won’t reach you, i’ll deliver them directly to you! come to grips with my passion, young one!” ofc i don’t know the original japanese or the possible linguistic nuances that could be in here that lead my interpretations to be completely wrong but a) BEETHES IS THE ONLY ONE WHO MAKES MENTION OF FEELINGS SPECIFICALLY (chopin says “make me happy” which.... is probablyr referring to his high speed internet.. hsjdglsdkfj although he said it in a really cute way) motz was... completely sidetracked from an otherwise sweet proposal by boobs (jsdjglsndkfnlskd) sousuke just said “we should get married”, poor schubert didn’t even get a chance, but beethes pulled out his muzik and literally talked abt his passion i hate him
