I've talked a bit before about how Ridge doesn't take the Rising Dawn's pet unthawed evil wizard popsicle very seriously, but wanted to show a bit more of their interactions. Hyden certainly doesn't care for this treatment, but he does eventually learn to use it to his advantage. It's easier to work with than a punch in the face, at least.

(This particular scene would have taken place pretty soon after Hyden got unfrozen and taken captive by the Rising Dawn, long before Theo enters the picture.)
