In Sicily, Italy, but you are not eating #pasta at all, and #pizza is not your favorite food, what to do? That's my case but despite the above, I was #eating like crazy while #touring the #Italian Island. Here comes my recommendation on the pics as follows : 1. Fried squid served on canapes of crispy baked dough. 2 and 3. Local Sicilian food called Arancino Al Ragu - deep-fried stuffed rice balls with beef, peas, egg, and mozzarella. 4. Grilled swordfish with fresh vegetable garnish. 5. Sicilian white wine Grillo, Inzolia e Grenacio (amazing light fruity taste). 6. The local dessert Canollo stuffed with Ricotta and served with hot chocolate with Meringa. 7. A happy non-stop eater. Cheers 🥂 . . . #italy #italianfood #italytravel #italytrip #sicily #sicilia #sicilyfood #island #seafoodlover #seafood #eatingnonstop #culinary #favoritefood #gastronomy #gastronomia (at Sicily, Italy) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cl0fW89LN0J/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Unforgettable Sicily food and wine tours
When you think of Italy, the heart and soul of culinary excellence, your thoughts inevitably drift to the sun-drenched island of Sicily. Known for its vibrant culture and breathtaking landscapes, Sicily offers an exceptional gastronomic experience that can only be fully appreciated through its immersive food and wine tours. If you’re a passionate foodie or a wine enthusiast, Sicily food and wine tours should be at the top of your travel list.
A Culinary Paradise
Sicily’s rich culinary heritage is a delightful fusion of flavors and traditions, influenced by the various cultures that have left their mark on the island over centuries. From the Greeks and Romans to the Arabs and Normans, each civilization has contributed to Sicily's diverse and unique cuisine. During a Sicily food and wine tour, you'll have the chance to explore these influences firsthand.
Start your journey with a visit to a local market, where the vibrant stalls are brimming with fresh produce, fragrant herbs, and an array of seafood. Here, you’ll discover the true essence of Sicilian cooking: simplicity, freshness, and the use of high-quality, local ingredients. Whether it’s the juicy tomatoes, the aromatic lemons, or the rich olive oil, each component plays a crucial role in creating Sicily's iconic dishes.
Wine: A Sip of History
No Sicily food and wine tour would be complete without indulging in the island’s world-renowned wines. Sicily is home to some of Italy’s oldest vineyards, producing a diverse range of wines that reflect the island’s unique terroir. The volcanic soil of Mount Etna, the sunny hills of Marsala, and the coastal vineyards of Menfi all contribute to the distinctive flavors and aromas of Sicilian wines.
Embark on a vineyard tour where you’ll get to meet the passionate winemakers dedicated to preserving the traditions of Sicilian viticulture. Learn about the grape varieties, from the robust Nero d'Avola to the crisp Grillo, and enjoy guided tastings that will take your palate on a journey through Sicily’s wine heritage. As you sip on a glass of fragrant Etna Rosso or a sweet Marsala, you'll appreciate the deep connection between the land, the climate, and the people who cultivate these exceptional wines.
Authentic Culinary Experiences
One of the highlights of Sicily food and wine tours is the opportunity to participate in hands-on cooking classes. Under the guidance of skilled chefs, you’ll learn to prepare traditional Sicilian dishes such as pasta alla Norma, arancini, and cannoli. These classes not only offer a chance to hone your culinary skills but also provide a deeper understanding of the cultural significance behind each recipe.
In addition to cooking classes, you’ll have the chance to dine at some of Sicily’s finest restaurants, where the emphasis is on fresh, locally sourced ingredients and authentic recipes. From rustic trattorias to Michelin-starred establishments, each dining experience on your tour promises to be a culinary adventure.
Sicily food and wine tours offer an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in the island’s rich culinary traditions and enjoy its exceptional wines. Whether you’re exploring bustling markets, tasting wines in historic vineyards, or cooking up a storm in a traditional kitchen, these tours provide a deliciously authentic taste of Sicily. So, pack your bags, bring your appetite, and get ready to savor the flavors of this enchanting island.

Murder, marriage, Mafia, blood, culture, food, and scenery intermix in this novel where two brothers unexpectedly find that they will marry two women they have never heard of, or none will leave Sicily alive. A family of Sicilian origin from Baton Rouge visits their home island for the first time in three generations only to find their host, Luigi The Claw, is desperate to get his daughter and niece out of the country because he fears a Mafia war. When two presently unattached Americans arrive, he arranges the wedding. As the family tours the island they are attacked by a rival mob from Naples. Bound by ties of blood, lust, love, and respect the men go through with the wedding after an attempt fails to get the women to call it off. Relentless in their pursuit, the mob attacks by land and air as the newlyweds attempt to make it to safety on an American air base.
