still cant believe i got a calico mouse from a fucking petstore meanwhile the closest calico mouse breeder is LI TERALLY on the other side of the country in California.
#like yeah she isnt super defined calico#it's more splashy#but thats all the calico gene is anyway. it's the splash gene.#and again. she was a COMPLETE accident#bc the breeder they get the mice from isn't even a specific mouse breeder they're just a general exotic animal breeder#they dont pay attention at all it's just a breeding mill#so the fact she came out as pretty as she is andshe had an incredible personality>#im in love#im literally in love with this mouse#she is MY DREAM MOUSE#i was so willing to fly across country in a few years to get calico mice but now I don't even really need to. i have her for a year or so.#like.#i loved all my mice the day I got them but I LOVE her.#she is the exact type of mouse i was setting my sights on and was dreaming to get eventually#literally no other mouse coat type is as attractive to me as calicos are. not one.#siamese mice are my second favorite but not even remotely close to calico ones#i cried the drive back to the house ngl#esp bc she kept squeaking pretty loud in the box and i was like </3 oh baby#i love sushi too (decided on sushi and mochi) but i have SO many speckled black mice now#and shes a bit shy
