TSOT ..... is the fic that broke me , patched me up and dare I say healed me too.

For years I have been attached to one person in my life who was emotionally unwilling or unavailable for me ... and I kept blaming it on myself - I'm not trying enough , I'm not being enough , maybe if I'm thin/thick darker/fairer or more modern/more traditional ... they will love me. They always made sure I was bound to them emotionally , knew about me liking them and kept me tethered to them with enough pieces of their life to scrape for me but never ever let me feel an actual connection ...

Finally last year broke the chain where they 'broke' up with me . I was completely shattered. It was the end of love for me . I was doing well in my career and studies but a part of me died and reborned the same day. Died the part which was eerily similar to Haejin - kind , caring , emotionally available for others overly and willing to love , willing to give second chances. Reborn was the part which was similar to what Taehyung told Haejin about healing - a stronger , more self aware person who won't love easily but still is mature enough to care.

Reading tsot was traumatic and healing ATST because I could relate to Haejin from my past pov ... and couldn't because I am no longer that loving , that willing to bend over. Parts of story after Taehyung and his therapy were introduced were my most favorite part as people don't write about how therapy works in fics. It's messy , it breaks your own beliefs about yourself down and rebuilds you up. But it is gery necessary for you life.

Thank you @sunshyngal for showing therapy works. People make gravest of the grave mistakes but they redeem themselves to an extent and more. And most importantly , sadness and happiness are extreme emotions felt rarely with specific events. What envelopes you around your memories is the memory of being happy or sad ... Thank you for showing us the beauty in sadness of the things 💜💜❤️❤️

So, I ran into an article on Japanese words and I was incredibly fascinated by the phrase , Mono no aware or the pathos of things : Basically the sadness of things. It was a very unusual concept to me because it could be interpreted in so many ways.

I love me some angst. I LIVE for the heartache and pain and just... GAH SO MUCH!! THE FEELS IN THIS. THE FEELS

Haneul WANTS to move on but can't. BUT. But she realises that her jealousy spilling over in the same toxic measures and possessiveness it did years ago wasn't right, wasn't healthy or fair so she controls that... she tries to rein that in and tries to be a better person, tries to work on herself for that.

YOONGI. OHMYGOD YOONGI... the way he's protective over Tae, what he'd do to the psychotic ex BUT?! Not willing to let him have Haneul and GODDAMN the power he holds over her. The "earn him" and earn the pleasure was just WHEW 🔥🔥🤒🥵 AND HIS PIERCINGS AND JUST EVERYTHING AND OH MY GOD YOONGI IS JUST AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT LEVEL. but!! Even when he figures Haneul is the ex he doesn't wanna ruin her, BUT he does wanna ruin her in another way entirely 🥴

TAE. OH MY GOD TAE. WITH HIS INABILITY TO MOVE ON, HIS CONFUSION, HIS WANT... SUCH A POSSESSIVE JEALOUS EX LOVER!! he WANTED Haneul, he wanted her and called Yoongi WHEN HE TOOK HER TO THE HOTEL and he wants her. He was just so confused because how can she suddenly seem... okay? But!! Not fair Tae. It's not that therapy FIXED her but it helped guide her, give her the ways and methods to try battle those possessive thoughts, to sort through the emotional baggage and to try... TRY be a better person. And even now she's trying so when she tells him to go, she's trying. Trying till the last end to let him GO. Because Jisoo is better, because if she didn't let go THEN then how would she let go... how would she EVER have let go? Like the whole saying that if you love someone, sometimes you have to let them go. So be them. To grow and learn. To split off and learn and develop. And that's what Haneul is trying to do.

LIKE... THERE'S JUST SO MUCH TO PICK APART AND OBSERVE AND I AM HOLLERING SHYN!! I have some MORE Namgi content for you love 🤭😌 as thanks and inspo whatever it feels like. Or just to ogle like one does to such FINE MEN.

And I just thought of this now!! But the title...

Yours, unfaithfully first made me think of the end of a letter you know but it's usually written like... e.g. Lovingly yours... so I thought Hmm why is it not Unfaithfully yours but THEN. Does that mean the letter end is Yours, and the name is unfaithfully.

Because whilst their relationship didn't end because of infidelity or unfaithfulness... but Haneul was perhaps never his FAITHFULLY. She always worried and wondered about HIS faithfulness that in that her own love is transformed into being unfaithful because she never TRUSTED him. She never held faith in him. So she becomes unfaithfully.

And this fic a sort of letter kinda navigating the whole relationship and dynamic.

WELL ANYWAYS could be entirely wrong 🤣 but I loved loved the chapter and thank you lovely for sharing it with us 🥺

You're right it is based on the way people end letters.

The implication of course is that although they broke up, they're still very much in love with each other. And that's the thing , when you're in love and its mutual, whether you label it or not you still look for a degree of fidelity. Like you get mad when a potential love interest you have started to get to know chooses to date someone else.

So with haneul and tae, they were once in a relationship and they were both faithful.

But they don't have that anymore. They sleep with other people...

But they still belong to eaCh other though.

It is them saying ,

I'm yours, unfaithfully yes, but still yours.

Oooh... I am mostly inspired by a lot of novels I've read .... I always feel like pain lasts more than happiness...

For eg... You feel happy about something and then even when you recall it in the future its unlikely you will feel the same happiness in the same intensity

..

But pain can be just as intense as the first time even when you think of it ten times....

So iam fascinated by it...🥺🥺🥺🥺

It’s called breadwinner. Again…don’t watch it if you’re feeling down…but then again I wouldn’t recommend watching it when you’re in a good mood too because it will make you bawl your eyes out….

Out of Love—

Was lifetimes captured within a moment. That’s how I can word it best I think.... something about a short snippet (compared to your series or longer chapters) yet its just as powering, just as forceful and intense in the way it rips through our lives, leaves its impact and yet their lives and stories are fulfilled or concluded within that moment but they come to settle in my heart, as do all your other works, and leave me aching for something.

Is it for something MORE— this selfish WANT to know how their lives pan out beyond the captured standstill it concludes on or is it because I want to know whether Mia finds her happy ending and heals through distance and growth because she deserves to fall out love just as Jungkook told OC. It’s almost a cruel parallel but one that feels like it had to be said, had to be verbalised because where Jungkook left to stop before it got unfair... Mia too has to be let go for the OC to in a way heal but also to stop another cycle or fate of unsatisfied love being left on dangling delicate threads.

I LOVED IT! That goes without saying but the ACHE you manage to bring in something smaller than your usual works but just as emotionally WRENCHING is something that’ll never fail to take my breath away (although you do that just fine with your mind 😌) and I LIVE for the angst and weep for it too. It’s raw and beautiful and agonising and it just CLICKS. And settles alongside all the messages and stories and lessons I get from your stories.

Jungkook might’ve fallen OUT of love but I continue to fall more and more IN love with your writing Shyn and the worlds you bring us. And in a way your writing brings us worlds you dreamed and envision into our own world. So thank you for that! 💜🥰

You know seeing as I'm usually goofing around all the time when I answer asks , I genuinely find myself speechless whenever you send me an ask about my story. You seem to find hidden depths that I may not have seen myself and it always fills me with joy because that's what stories should do right? They make you think and feel and experience something new or relive something you've gone through before.

Like at parties where you’re all dressed up and feelin good…idk I hate being treated like an object but I feel like namjoon would be soooo into that. I think Jimin would be the type to genuinely get off on something like that. Rapline would just admire you and enjoy having you nearby but taekook and seokjin will probably want to have a say in what you're wearing to make sure its not too sexy etc
