Getting Niche With Shy Mimosa

Hey guys,  Hope you've all been well ! I believe i may have said something similar before, but I am obsessed with perfume, cologne, fragrance, whatever it is that you want to call it. But, let's just say that i love smelling good.  To be honest, i think its something that my dad just instilled in me from when i was younger, believer it or not... my brother already has a wide budding collection at the right old age of 8.  But i think the main reason of why i love fragrances SO much, is that it has the capability to not only make you smell divine, but it can also work as something somewhat of a time machine.  i think we have all had a moment where we have sprayed a fragrance... and you are instantly transported to a certain time and or place in your life.  That being said, when i was invited to come into Shy Mimosa perfumery in Bristol - i have to admit, although i LOVE perfume/cologne... I didn't think i was going to be wowed as much as i was.  I mean, i have alot of fragrance to begin with, and with blogging, you get introduced to a ton of new fragrances on the regular. So, because of that - i really did not expected to be wowed.  I will stop and tell you right here... I was wrong, SO wrong.   

I think problem number one with my previous way of thinking was... I thought because i already HAVE alot of fragrance, that i was just going to experience 'another one'. But i think due to the fact that I am quite the connoisseur of fragrance... That, that is really what made me appreciate the fragrances that are found at Shy Mimosa Upon arrival, i was greeted by the lovely Maria, and not only is Shy Mimosa the cutest little boutique nestled in Clifton Village - but Maria adds just as much, if not more charm to the space!  She has got to be one of the most elegant and most knowledgable people i have come across in my life. And her passion for these scents, is honestly contagious.  One by one, she took me through all of the different brands that are stocked in Shy Mimosa, and as you conversate more and more - she really is able to listen your preferences, and personality - and match you with the perfect scent for you.  It was hilarious, because when se would give me another fragrance to try, and tell me more about its story, or describe the notes that are in the fragrance I would laugh, because i found it sounded so much like me and my personality !  I think if she ever leaves the perfume industry she would slay it as a match maker !  That being said - i have noticed that alot of celebrities, youtubers, and other influencers have taking a strong liking to scenting their weddings... And this too is a service that Shy Mimosa provides.... ( you better believe i am making more of a mental note of this for when that special time comes in my life ).

I loved hearing all the stories behind these brands and perfumas - but it was also so cool to hear how these fragrances have been cultivated. I even learned that seeing some cloudy sediment at the bottom of the bottle is actually a good thing ! As some of the most natural and potent of ingredients have been used in that bottle.
