Shuuji x ryo ideas? I need more shuuji x ryo stuff and i cant tak it anymore im dying. Im going to draw some of the ideas, sorry to bother with another ask (or takuma x kaito but please shuuji x ryo i cant take the small amount of conten on it) sorry to bother you again i also just like asking stuff

I like to think that Ryo and Shuuji are each other's main confidants (other than Kunemon and Lopmon ofc) bc they seemed pretty close in Truthful, and like Shuuji specifically I don't think would be comfortable sharing his more negative feelings with anyone younger

And y'know when someone shares a lot about their life with you, you tend to do the same back

Imagine for a sec that like Ryo is sick of Shuuji always being afraid to go for what he wants bc, even though he's trying not to, he still really cares what his dad and brother think so he keeps overthinking things and letting opportunities (as in the fun kind, not the academic kind) pass him by

So like one day they’re hanging out and Ryo is like I am not leaving until you do ONE thing you've been wanting to do but keep chickening out of and Shuuji is like fine and just

A very awkward, quickly spoken "inthatcasewillyougooutwithme"

Ryo.exe stops working for a solid minute trying to process what just happened and is eventually like "that's not really what I meant...but yes"

Saki and Takuma would 100% plan their first date for them I feel this in my bones

They're both dorks who have never been on a date in their lives and do not know what is romantic, they need help

Normally they'd ask each other for advice about things, but now that's off the table, so they need help from someone else, and those two are the most qualified

I think they'd have an Awkward Phase™️ where they aren't sure how to act as a couple instead of as friends but like it would not last long at all

Within a week they're back to late night conversations about nothing and being each other's confidants and it's like "oh this isn't very different from friendship at all"

Conversely I don't think Takuma and Kaito would have an awkward phase at all tbh I think whatever the hell Kaito's got goin on in-game is as awkward as it gets lmao

They would have more of an annoying phase

By they I mean Takuma and by annoying phase I mean "won't shut up about his boyfriend"

Hey, it’s been a while!

I was reading through your Survive stuff again and I had some thought, specifically regarding the kids and possible Kemonogami partners.

If Ellie/Yuki had lived, I could see her with two possible partners: Salamon or Lunamon, though leaning towards Lunamon since she hasn’t been partnered up with anyone in official media outside of Sayo from Digimon Dusk.

Plus, it could partner with my pick for Richard, which is Coronamon. Not only would Lunamon and Coronamon eventually evolve into two of the Olympus 12 like Labramon to Plutomon, but Apollomon and Dianamon can jogress to Gracenovamon. If Ellie had lived, I can see her and Richard being close and it could reflect in their partners.

As for Gavin, Owen and Liam, there are three partners that come to mind though I don’t know who would have who: Liollmon, Gaomon and Gomamon. And why not give Caleb a possible partner in Bearmon, who can also become an Olympus 12 Digimon in Marsmon or Merkurimon.

The others haven’t had kids yet, but if they do biologically or adopt:

Ryo’s possible kid could have Wormmon or even the new bug Digimon in Fanbeemon or Morphomon.

I do like Kaito and Takuma together, tbh, and if they adopted, I could see their kid having Guilmon, which harkens to the free Guilmon you get when you download Survive. Plus, Guilmon is a dinosaur like Agumon but a virus type like Dracmon.

Shuuji’s kid would be easy as I believe they would get Terriermon to match his Lopmon.

If Saki ever adopted, I could see Lalamon being a viable partner, or perhaps a more unconventional partner in Mushroomon, who can become Bloominglordmon as a Mega.

Finally, with Minoru, if he ever did have a kid, I could see Hawkmon being an option, or the lesser used or known Rookie of Hyokomon.

So yeah, I’ve thought about this a lot😅

Hey there, good to hear from you, especially after a while!

I’ve actually thought about this a lot too, ever since September of last year. Admittedly I have a bias for Aoi and Saki since they're my favorite Survive characters, so I went a lot further into the future lives I imagined for them than the others. I really like what you’ve thought of for the other Survive kids though. Your headcanons for them end up being mine too! I never had concrete ideas for the others having kids, but I can see them being good parents and now after seeing your headcanons, I can’t imagine anything else.

As for Aoi’s four sons, however, I already have had character bios and partners for them in mind for months now. I got a fic I’ve been wanting to write and everything. The gist of it:

-Aoi and Labramon become Plutomon and join the Olympos Twelve -the Olympos Twelve (especially Jupitermon) are the big bads -her kids grow up to become teens with partners of their own -they follow their mother’s footsteps in fusing with their partners to become Royal Knights -they’re forced to fight their own mother in order to save both worlds

I just haven’t yet had the time to start it yet. I’m currently writing an Aoi x Saki fic, The Dog In Her, that focuses on their evolving friendship when they’re teens, will lead to how and why Aoi’s in England throughout her adult life, and foreshadows her future transformation into Plutomon. The fic where Aoi has kids and becomes Plutomon, Gods Arise, is going to be a sequel that takes place many years later. I love tragedy and family drama, so I really look forward to working on it someday.

So, alas, while I have had a different direction in mind for Aoi’s kids, I absolutely love your idea of her firstborn son and daughter having Coronamon and Lunamon, so they could jogress into Grandnovamon. I don’t know how I could incorporate that into Gods Arise; maybe I could do an alternate universe storyline or something that has a timeline where Aoi’s daughter didn’t die shortly after birth. Or maybe you could write it! I’d love to read it if that’d be the case.

More detailed notes for the sequel fic and character bios for Aoi’s family are under the cut, in case if you’re interested at all in reading further. I’ve been keeping this to myself for many months, since it’s still very much in the brainstorming stage, and I wasn’t sure if anyone would want to read it all honestly, but now you got me eager to share.

Digimon Survive: Gods Arise Summary: [Survive sequel, 15-25 years after Truthful Route] Aoi's oldest child has run away, lured to a place where unpartnered monsters roam. At her plea for help, old friends reunite and embark on a rescue mission. Saki knows she shouldn't pine over a newly widowed woman. Still, old buried feelings rear their head. Gods begin their ascent to power and conquest, but it's not the boy they're after.

Aoi Shibuya Age: 30, 40 (post 10 year time skip, but continues to appear 30) Partner: Labramon Family: Caleb (husband), Richard (son), Gavin (son), Owen (son), Liam (son), Ellie (daughter, deceased), Tatsuo (father), Hana (mother)

Additional details: Since her first venture into the Kemonogami world, Aoi has grown a lot more confident and competent due to her career in law enforcement, though she never lost her kind nature and maternal side. She hates resorting to violence, preferring negotiation, but if it comes down to that, her skills in combat and firearms are far from lacking. Having spent the first 18 years of her life in Japan, and the rest of it in England, she is comfortably situated between the two cultures. She does her best to keep her UK-born kids in touch with their Japanese heritage. She also strives to stay close to her friends who remain in Japan. Until recent events in the story, she has been unaware of Saki’s unrequited love for her (through no fault of her own, since Saki had kept her feelings hidden when Aoi got engaged and married).

Labramon Partner: Aoi Since coming to the real world with her human partner, Labramon had moved to England and joined the MI5 with her. She works like a police dog, helping Aoi with her tracking abilities and defending her in dangerous situations. Despite her animalistic appearance, she’s treated as a valuable member of the family Aoi and her husband had made together. She adores their kids and would always be entrusted to watch over them.

Caleb Shanahan Age: 33 (at death) Aoi's husband and fellow MI5 agent three years her senior. He is a tall, well-built and handsome man with cropped dirty blonde hair and a trimmed beard. He was born and raised in England, though he is well-traveled due to his father being in the military. Caleb and Aoi met at work and grew closer as they were assigned cases together. He is the object of admiration and attraction among the women at work, though it's the kind and quiet Aoi he falls in love with. Their common love for reading and cooking made him even more fond of her. He learned about the Kemonogami world through Aoi, and by becoming romantically involved with her he came to regard Labramon as extended family. Toward his sons with Aoi, he is a doting, loving father who likes to take them fishing, his favorite hobby. He was killed in the line of duty, and his death sets off the events of the story.

Richard "Richie" Benjiro Shanahan Age: 8, 18 (post 10 year time skip) Partner: Dorumon (Alphamon) Birthday: September 25 The oldest child of Aoi and Caleb. After Aoi became Plutomon, he was taken to Japan to be raised by his maternal grandparents. He has a special place in his parents’ hearts for being their first surviving child after the death of their baby daughter. Driven by grief at his father's funeral, he was the one who ventured into the Kemonogami world on his own, prompting Aoi to pursue him in an effort to bring him back home. He believes he's responsible for his mother's downfall and transformation into Plutomon. For 10 years he has carried a tremendous amount of guilt and the need to save her from the darkness that binds her. Reckless and impulsive in his youth, he has since inherited his mother's sense of responsibility. He is always trying to take care of his younger brothers, making sure they are safe and well.

Gavin Eisuke Shanahan Age: 6, 16 (post 10 year time skip) Partner: Veemon, Ulforceveedramon Birthday: April 10 The second son of Aoi and Caleb. After Aoi became Plutomon, he was taken to Japan to be raised by his maternal grandparents. Of the four brothers, he is the most intelligent and level-headed. He takes after his mother's studious nature and academic prowess. He's a good student and abides by the rules, deferent and reserved to a fault. His practical and analytical approach sometimes makes him seem cold and insensitive.

Owen Isamu Shanahan Age: 5, 15 (post 10 year time skip) Partner: Huckmon (Jesmon) Birthday: February 3 The third son of Aoi and Caleb. After Aoi became Plutomon, he stayed in England to be raised by his paternal grandparents. He inherited his mother's kindness and sweet nature. He doesn't like fights and takes a pacifistic approach to almost everything. He is notoriously gullible and can be too trusting. Though raised in England, he tries to stay in touch with his Japanese heritage by talking often to his older brothers and maternal grandparents.

Liam Daiki Shanahan Age: 3, 13 (post 10 year time skip) Partner: Dracomon (Dynasmon) Birthday: December 24 The second youngest child of Aoi and Caleb. After Aoi became Plutomon, he stayed in England to be raised by his paternal grandparents. He was only 3 years old when his father died and his mother became Plutomon. Because of this, of the four he has the weakest recollection of his parents and is the most bitter about being orphaned. He bears resentment toward his mother for being an absent parent for most of his life, as well as for the destruction and terror she inflicts on the world as Plutomon. Growing up hating his mother and everything she represents, he has the most antagonistic view of his Japanese heritage and clings to his English side. Ironically enough, he physically resembles his mother the most. Unlike her, however, he is prickly and foul-mouthed with a short fuse.

Dorumon Partner: Richard Evolutions: Dorugamon, Dorugreymon, Alphamon Has a “fight first think later” mindset, which often gets him into trouble. He can be selfish and immature, and has a hard time making friends, but he’s working on changing his ways.

Veemon Partner: Gavin Evolutions: Veedramon, Aeroveedramon, Ulforceveedramon Sly and mischievous, enjoys a good prank. He scoffs at the rules and likes to stir up harmless trouble. He’s always telling Gavin to relax and not be such a stick in the mud.

Huckmon Partner: Owen Evolutions: Baohuckmon, Saviorhuckmon, Jesmon Brave and adventurous, fearless of the unknown. He tries to keep an upbeat attitude and have a positive outlook on life. The most mature of the four Kemonogami, he serves as the grounding voice of reason for Owen.

Dracomon Partner: Liam Evolutions: Coredramon (Blue), Wingdramon, Dynasmon Proud and stubborn, tenacious in battle. His arrogance often makes him overconfident and he is just as unwilling to admit he had made mistakes. He is obsessed with shiny things and would hoard as many as he could carry.

Plot: Aoi’s husband, who’s in law enforcement like his wife, is shot and killed in the line of duty. During his funeral, his and Aoi’s oldest child Richard runs away to the Kemonogami world. She beseeches the rest of the Survive gang to help find and bring back her son. For the first time since the end of the Truthful route, they enter the other world with their partners together. Meanwhile, Richard meets Dorumon, who claims that he was “sent by the gods to find a hero.” Richard lets Dorumon lead him deeper into the Kemonogami world, trying to bury his grief amid the wonder and awe from exploring the world he had heard so much about from his mother. As the Survive gang try to track down Richard, Saki struggles with unrequited feelings for Aoi she thought she had buried long ago. Aoi, fresh with grief from her husband’s death, struggles with holding herself together as she tries to find her son.

The “gods,” the Olympos Eleven led by Jupitermon, had indeed sent Dorumon to meet Richard, but it’s not the boy they want. They need the god of the underworld to fulfill their ambition of rising to full power and conquering both worlds. To this end, they indirectly lure Aoi back into the Kemonogami world. Committed to her family as a wife and mother, she had no reason to go there otherwise. When Aoi and her friends finally find Richard, the Olympos Eleven come out of hiding and threaten Richard’s life. Already wracked with grief, and not wanting to lose another member of her family, in desperation Aoi says she would do anything to have him set free. They bind her in chains, force her into servitude, and in a violent, bloody ritual, make her and Labramon fuse to trigger the rise of Plutomon. Saki, with her partner who can evolve into Ceresmon Medium, joins the Olympos Eleven to accompany Aoi and save her from the worst of Jupitermon’s unhealthy pleasure in subjugating her. With the addition of Plutomon and Ceresmon, the prophesied circle of gods is complete. The rest of the Survive gang are allowed to bring Richard back with them to the real world, though the ascent of the Olympos Twelve plunges both worlds into chaos. Kemonogami and humans alike are subjugated under tyranny and fear, with Plutomon being the unwilling emissary of death and execution to anyone who tries to resist.

Over the course of ten years, Aoi’s four sons are divided between the grandparents who become their legal guardians, with Richard and Gavin living in Japan while Owen and Liam stay in England. At the ages of 18, 16, 15 and 13 respectively, they reach the point that they can join the Resistance (led by Aoi’s friends) and fight back against the Olympos Twelve. The other three boys gain partners as well: Veemon, Huckmon, and Dracomon. With partners of their own and destinies to become draconic Royal Knights, only they can match in power with their mother to defeat her and set her free. Controlled and commanded by Jupitermon to oppose her own children, Aoi is willing to face even death if killing her is what it would take to save both worlds. At the same time, over the years Aoi and Saki’s relationship grows into mutual love as Saki has been a constant comforting presence when Aoi is torn away from her family, and she finally confesses that she has loved Aoi all this time.

I'm not far enough in the Truthful route to know their exact dynamic & draw something but I *did* just complete chapter 5 so I do know what you mean, I can see it pretty much! It's a nice ship, though I don't know enough to know whether I like it or not entirely yet, but I did really enjoy the dynamic I did see.

Definitely a random question but I was wondering what your ranking of all the ships in survive (outside of red flag/concerning ships) would be.

I've never really thought about it lkadjf

I'm gonna take some liberties and have "all"="ones I've seen at least one person ship" rather than "every nonproblematic mix and match of every character in the game"

And rather than a 1-2-3 type ranking I'll just do tiers but have them ordered within the tiers

They actively plague my thoughts: Takuma x Kaito (shocker), Ryo x Minoru

They're probably gonna get married and live in a little cottage someday: Aoi x Saki

They're neat I just don't think about them a lot: Saki x Miu, Ryo x Shuuji, Kaito x Ryo, Miu x Miyuki

They are soulmates, destined to meet and to love each other, perfect for each other in every way, but like platonically: Takuma x Minoru, Saki x Ryo

I can see why someone else would ship it, I just don't: Takuma x Aoi, Takuma x Ryo

Nah: Aoi x Minoru, Takuma x Saki

Your honor, they are both gay: Aoi x Kaito

I have concluded, based on an incredibly small sample size, that Ryo x Minoru is not too weird to talk about on tumblr dot com, and that at least one other human being on the face of home, planet earth, not only tolerates but ships it as well.

So I'm gonna be annoying about them for a minute!

I think they're cute as hell! I constantly think about the fact that in non truthful routes, Ryo takes Minoru's teasing to mean that he hates him, but in the truthful route he knows Minoru's antics are his way of cheering him up! + Minoru getting embarrassed about getting called out for it is silly and adorable!

I totally hc that over time they do just have a very specific dynamic with each other that only they understand. Minoru bullies Ryo and Ryo calls him a dick but really that's just their version of "hey how ya doin" "alright"

If Minoru's not messing with him, Ryo will check in and make sure he's okay. If Ryo is ever quiet and doesn't snap back, Minoru will check to see if he's okay.

Except the catch is that literally none of their friends have picked up on this. They all just think "why does Minoru always single out Ryo to pick on" and "Wow Ryo really can't stand Minoru, can he?"

They're genuinely considering talking to those two about their behavior and getting to the bottom of why they hate each other in hopes of getting them to get along better, only for them to rock up to the next friend hangout like "so we're dating now."

Everyone has the most overexaggerated sitcom-esque "WHAT" moment. Except Miu and Kaito who gave up on understanding other human beings so long ago that nothing can surprise them anymore and they're just like "oh cool congrats." Saki is surprised at first but very quickly is like "ohhhh that's why Ryo never shuts up about Minoru." She thought he was just complaining about him a lot but no that idiot had a crush the WHOLE time.

Oh oh oh hc that like on the first day or so of camp, when they first becoming friends, Minoru and Takuma were just talkin about boy stuff, and at some point they got on the topic of like "What's your type?" And Minoru with 0 hesitation was like "definitely a hot girl who's calm and gentle and would want a guy like me to take care of her" while picturing some classic comic book damsel in distress (delusional teen boy moment).

And now finally, FINALLY Takuma can make fun of Minoru for something. Minoru goes too far sharing an embarrassing thing Takuma did at school and Takuma just interrupts him like HEY WANT ME TO TELL YOUR BOYFRIEND WHAT YOU SAID YOUR IDEAL SIGNIFICANT OTHER WOULD BE

And it shuts him right up ksksnf

Minoru is the only person other than Saki that knows that Ryo only actually means "leave me alone" about 20% of the time, and the rest of the time that just means "I'm not feeling great but don't want to/don't know how to talk about it" and will do the OPPOSITE of leaving him alone (coming over to keep him company).

Boyfriend who doesn't talk much x boyfriend who won't shut the fuck up beloved dynamic

Once in a rare while Minoru gets a little overwhelming for Ryo to deal with, but he never takes it personally. He knows his bf loves him, he can just only take so much LOUD at a time. He has other friends he can hand out with while Ryo is in recharge mode.

...Minoru taking advantage of no longer being a single pringle to torment his friends with the "no bitches" meme. The first time Ryo is the one to send it in chat, everyone is like "NOOOO THE MINORUFICATION OF OUR BELOVED RYO HAS FINALLY HAPPENED, IT'S RYOVER."

Bc that's how youths today talk, I believe. /hj

Ryo...surprisingly sappy. Minoru thinking he'd have to remind him of their anniversary only to show up at his place and immediately have flowers shoved in his face. RIP Saki and Shuuji for being the main victims of Ryo talking about Minoru for an hour. The bastard can pretend to be totally normal about his bf in front of the others, but those two know the truth. He is very strategic about NOT telling Takuma jackshit. Both because he's a respectful little lad and knows that there are some things no one wants to know about their best friend, and because he doesn't trust Takuma not to share any cheesy thing he might say with Minoru.

Minoru tried saying "sweetie" once at Takuma's behest, and Ryo made him swear to NEVER do that again.

I'm just gonna write 2-3 hcs for EVERY ship that I know exists in this fandom regardless of whether or not I ship it

IN NO SPECIFIC ORDER:

Takuma x Kaito

Kaito's legitimate first reaction to realizing he liked Takuma was "SHIT, WHY?" He lost all sense of how to talk to him like "normal" and could hardly get through a single conversation without getting flustered and panicky. Literally the worst thing to ever happen to him as far as he was concerned at the time.

They hardly act like a couple in public but damn are they clingy in private. Kaito's like a cat that will lie on top of whatever you're reading (or smash something) if Takuma isn't paying attention to him.

100% of PDA when it does happen is a direct result of Takuma being a bully. Kaito will be mad at him for the rest of the day, but that never stops him.

Takuma x Minoru

They're that couple that was dating for a year before they realized they were dating bc falling in love came super naturally and happened really slowly over time.

Rather than any form of actual confession, one day Minoru was just like "Hey, are we like...boyfriends?" and Takuma said yes.

They have matching bracelets.

Takuma x Aoi

Their friends joke about Aoi being out of Takuma's league.

They act the most like an embarrassing high school romcom couple, constantly flustered and unsure of how to approach the other.

Takuma continues to somehow accidentally forget that Aoi is a girl sometimes and ruins moments with very Dumb Boy remarks. Thankfully, she finds this endearing rather than annoying.

Aoi x Saki

Of all couples, they're the one that would take the longest to get together. Between Aoi's general anxiety and Saki's fear of losing friends, Labramon and Floramon practically had to force them to confess.

Saki often has to reassure Aoi that she really does like her and wouldn't change her for the world.

To that end, Saki likes bragging about Aoi. A lot. It's kind of annoying (affectionate).

Aoi x Kaito

They both help each other to be more like the other. Aoi needs to be more assertive, Kaito needs to communicate better, and they're both very patient in helping each other work through their hang ups.

They practice hairstyles on each other sometimes. One time Kaito gave Aoi a cute clip that he originally got for Miu before she started wearing that hat all the time and never had the heart to throw away. She treasures this.

Their friendship got off to a super rocky start, both thinking the other really didn't like them, but once they started getting along, they got really close really fast.

Aoi x Minoru

Take what I said about Takuma being dumb with girls and multiply it by 50.

A real opposites attract couple, Minoru's optimism and Aoi's groundedness balance each other out, and they're both better for it.

Minoru x Ryo

"He's so goddamn annoying." "So you don't like him?" "No wtf I love him." They're the couple that shocked all their friends when they got together because everyone legitimately thought Ryo couldn't stand Minoru.

One time Minoru felt guilty about always teasing his bf so much so he tried to dial it down, but all that accomplished was making Ryo think he did something wrong and get really upset. This mistake was never repeated.

Ryo is the jealous type bc Minoru gets along with too many people too well. He doesn't act on it, just kinda sulks and pouts. Minoru thinks it's cute.

Ryo x Shuuji

Funniest "how I fell in love" story ever. Shuuji's been down bad ever since the day Ryo decked him in the face.

It started as a one-sided crush, with Shuuji really admiring Ryo's strength and dedication to his partner. These feelings caused him to unconsciously seek Ryo out more often and keep trying to get to know him better, at which point Ryo started developing feelings of his own.

Their favorite thing about each other is how easy it is to talk about the ugly sides of themselves without feeling afraid or judged.

Miu x Saki

The more they got to know each other, the more they realized how much they have in common, until they eventually got really excited to spent time together.

All masks are off together, and they make each other feel safer in being their true selves than they ever thought they could be.

One time Saki had a calm and honest talk with Kaito about why he needs to leave Miu alone more often, and it actually helped. If Miu wasn't enamored before, she sure was then.

I feel like a Survive x TWEWY crossover would be so fun

Both in the sense of TWEWY characters in the Survive storyline and vice versa

I like how both stories have the shared trait of "trust your partner or die" but in TWEWY your partner is Just Some Random Person (or whoever you happened to die alongside) while in Survive it's your fated partner

How would Neku's initial distrust play out if his partner was a digimon instead of Shiki? Would it go more smoothly because he'd connect with them since they'd inherently be similar to him, or would it go worse because "aaaaah monster" ? I'm leaning towards the former, but still.

I think Shuuji might actually initially handle a human partner better tbh

How would the Survive cast react to the end of Week 1 if they all made it to the end only to find out that only one of them could be revived and go home? Who would they choose? Would they fight over it? Or if they didn't all last the full week, well...what killed them?

How would Kaito handle the fact that he and Miu were already dead, meaning he already failed her twice?

Hell, knowing how Part 3 of Survive went, how would Ryo react to already being dead? Would he even try to win the game?

And what about Saki? Would her illness still exist even in death? If not, would it come back upon resurrection? How would that influence her attitude towards winning the game?

Conversely, how would things be different if Beat and Rhyme never died?

Would Joshua be a Normal Person or would he have some kind of unusual power like Miyuki's? Or would that just make Survive yet another parallel world to the main TWEWY world and he would be uncomfortably self aware about it aksjnd

What kind of psychs (powers) would the Survive kids have?

What partners would the TWEWY kids have? Personally voting for Joshua's partner following the straightforward Patamon->Seraphimon line because...well he's Joshua.

How would Shiki's self-image issues reflect on her partner?

What would the Survive kids' entry fees be, and how would that affect their ability to work together? Would they all look like themselves? Would they all keep their memories intact? Just what is the most important thing to each of them? And I don't mean like the objects from the waterway.

Well okay for Kaito that question has an easy answer and my real question for him is would he end up more like Beat in week 1 or Neku in week 2? As in would Miu forget him or would the reapers just straight up take her away?

Would Takuma even work as the main protagonist in TWEWY? I feel like he's more similar to Rindo than Neku, but even then he's way more open and personable than either of them. That being said tho

What if the Survive kids were in Neo instead and they were all a team together? How would they (especially Aoi) feel knowing their survival hinged on the other teams dying? Fighting monsters is one thing, but fighting other people and knowing they'll be erased if you win? That's...a bit much.

And now that I've said Neo, how would Rindo, Fret, and Nagi fare in Survive? At the very least I don't think Nagi would fall for monsters in disguise or illusions, but idk about the other two.

survive kids watch the entire friday the 13th series

See I didn't answer this when I first saw it bc I was extremely busy and then I forgot about it until now and I am so sorry anon I promise I'm not ignoring you <3

And as someone who has marathoned every Friday the 13th movie with a friend

It would honestly just be funny

I mean they're all teens in like TODAY time I feel like they'd be making fun of the effects

I could see Ryo and Aoi being not exactly scared but disturbed and a little grossed out by the first movie or two but as the series gets progressively more ridiculous, even they think it's funny and maybe feel embarrassed for being creeped out earlier

Movie night practically turns into a cinemasins video with them all constantly pausing to make fun of whatevers happening

Miu definitely goes on a rant about how Freddy vs. Jason makes no sense. Never underestimate a weird girl's knowledge of horror movie lore. Also they are all rooting for Jason.

Minoru knows like a million random fun facts about the production/the actors for all the movies that he keeps sharing. There's definitely a tangent about how cool old school practical effects are somewhere in there.

"I'm not saying they deserved that, but..." -Kaito at almost every death in Jason Takes Manhattan.

By the time they get to Jason X they can't stop laughing. Like none of them are expecting any level of actual horror anymore and they're just on the ground wheezing at all the crappy one-liners and also uber jason.

Every time there's an inappropriate scene Shuuji mutes the tv and makes everyone close their eyes until it's over.

They have to explain to the kemonogami why watching bad movies is fun. I just imagined Falcomon being like "but Minoru if the movie is this terrible then why are you watching it?" They have never understood human beings less than they do by the end of this movie marathon.

I just want the Survive kids to play Kingdom Hearts together

Like just going through the all in one package + MoM on ps taking turns on the remote and reacting to everything

They have a pin board set up trying to understand the plot

Shuuji has a ten page essay on how Terra did nothing wrong. He actually likes the combat system in CoM.

Takuma is a basic bitch whose favorite game is 2. Roxas is his little meow meow.

Minoru prefers 1 because he likes watching Sora go from normal lazy boy to savior of the universe

Ryo is good at mini games. His favorite games are MoM and kh3d.

Aoi actually likes the disney worlds instead of wishing they would end already. She apologizes during boss fights against org members.

NO ONE likes Atlantica and Arendelle tho. Even the kindest members of the group wanted to melt Olaf alive by the time they found his body. That sentence sounds deranged if you haven't played kh3 I am so sorry.

Saki threw the remote at the TV when Kairi got kidnapped for the tenth time. She joked about Marluxia reminding her of Floramon once. Floramon was offended.

Miu is an achievement hunting monster who tries to 100% every game. I just like imagining everyone watching in horror as she destroys every secret boss. (She makes Kaito do the gummi ship sections tho. He only hates her a little bit for it.)

Kaito was e x t r e m e l y upset about having to kill Vanitas, although he didn't show it. What kind of game kills off a clearly traumatized child instead of giving them a chance to heal and change? Get it? Because in that one route—

They all have way too much fun co-oping melody of memory and also fight over whose turn it is to pet the dream eaters.

It's probably for the best that in bbs remake you can't play the command boards against other players. It's essentially just monopoly, and I cannot imagine these kids playing monopoly without SOMEONE dying by the end.

Periodically there are stages where everyone hot potatoes the remote around because none of them want to play it. Like the sledding minigame. Or the ansem bossfight in 1.
