✶ SPRINGTIME LONGING 。。 feat.ㅤhan jisung

──── as soon as he meets you, he's head over heels . . .
⠀ pairing.⠀⠀han jisung x f!reader⠀wc.⠀⠀3 k words ⠀ genre.⠀⠀fluff⠀cw.⠀⠀not really, it's a cute love at first sight fic, bridgerton inspired. mention of little wounds tho ( scratches, really ) & minho 's soonie is a paid actor here!
an.⠀⠀happy saturday .. and happy bday to @cinhomi ! hi my sweet rora, this is for youu! i know it's short, and just an edited version of an old fic of mine, but this is one of my fav works out of all i've written so far, and i wanted to gift it to you. i hope you like it 🤍
The carriage stopped, and Jisung didn't wait for the coachman to open the door before jumping out. He was late, and although it wasn't unusual, his old friend Minho would kill him if he didn't show up on time.
He didn't bother to look at his pocket watch as he walked the cobblestone path of the Lee manor's entrance, hands clenched into fists, and flashed a quick, apologetic smile at the housekeeper who opened the door for him before his fingers caressed the metal knocker. Her eyes, wrinkled with years, narrowed into two crescent moons at the sight of him, a smile curved with amusement: she had watched him grow up, had memorised his habits. The Lord Han she knew would never have arrived on time, even if he had wanted to.
Jisung hurried inside, giving her a brief grin as he felt the housekeeper taking the hat from his head to put it away, and paused for a moment to take a deep breath of air. The hall was empty, the only source of noise being the bustle coming from the kitchen, and Jisung knew that the guests had already been moved to the garden. According to the thorough planning that characterised his friend's mother, the gathering on the beautiful outdoors patio would lead to a long-awaited ‘welcome home’ meal, and Minho would surely notice his absence.
Shit.
He hurried through the hallways, the rustle of the fabric of his pants like a steady tune that followed the firm thuds of his footsteps on the marble floor, the soundtrack of a march that haunted him until he reached the big blue room. He had spent many afternoons playing with Minho in that place, scampering around the sofas and the servants, sneaking in and out to wallow in the grass, and he could almost feel the tightness in his throat closing up, as if he had just run with his friend to the oak tree by the lake and back.
He stood in the doorway, taking a deep breath to calm the erratic beating of his heart, flattening the lapels of his suit jacket against his chest. He wanted to think that the shaking in his hands was the effect of a day too cold and a coat not thick enough, but the weather had changed in the last few weeks and there was no snow left that hadn't melted. Jisung closed his eyes. He knew it was a side effect of his lack of social skills. He just didn't know why he kept arriving late to places when it made him so uncomfortable to have to enter a room full of people totally alone.
Then he realised that on that occasion it was the garden that was full of people, and he was the one who remained in a room, and he chuckled, shaking his head. What an idiot. He would be fine. Plus, he knew the Lee family—it wasn't going to be that bad.
Jisung opened the glass door carefully, almost afraid of shutting himself in, though he was not sure whether he was terrified of not being capable of getting out or of being unable to get in, and measured his steps as he made his way out into the courtyard. The first to notice his presence was Lady Lee, Countess of Gimpo, and on her face was drawn a beautiful toothy smile that Jisung could not help but mirror on his own lips, walking towards her when she quickly gestured for him to approach her.
The Countess ignored the panicked face of the butler, who should have announced Jisung as soon as he had arrived, and instead greeted him effusively and affectionately, pleased with his answers, his easy laughter and the myriad of promises about organising a gathering with his own mother as soon as possible.
Minho and his family had been travelling during the coldest months of the year, and now that the first rays of sun heralded warmer days in its most comforting form, they had finally returned, to enjoy the few months of heat before the new courting season began. And Jisung couldn't wait to hug his best friend again, even if it meant putting up with all the jokes about the experience he had gained in Europe and how little he had been missed. It was part of who Minho was, all the teasing, the sharp smirks, and the least he could do was get to his welcome back event on time, which… Well, he hadn't been able to do.
Lady Lee's attention gradually slid from her son's friend to the man she had been chatting with before, and Jisung took it as the signal to withdraw, offering a respectful bow towards them and walking away. He tried to —finally— find Minho in the crowd, but there was so much hustle and bustle and so many people that he felt overwhelmed, nervousness creeping back into his system, so he decided to wander to the margins of the patio, where waiters were standing by with trays, ready to serve the dishes as soon as the lunch was announced.
From the outside it was much easier to find Minho, distinguishing his broad shoulders among the people, moving in laughter at his companion's words. He smiled, recognising every curve of his best friend's back, the confidence in his posture, the heat rising to his cheeks as Jisung realised how big Minho had become, and saw the soft waves of his dark hair move in rhythm with his laughter. And he saw you, the companion, giggling too, covering your mouth with an expert twist of your fan, your cheeks flushed, in front of Minho. And when you looked at him, for a minute he forgot how to breathe.
Because looking into your eyes was like listening to a melody. He could hear the quartet that Minho's mother had chosen for the event playing from the little wooden platform by the lake, but it was a completely different tune than that. Your gaze, cheerful and serene, sang of mischievous breezes swaying the treetops at will, of dances without music barefoot on the grass and of the warm rays of the sun kissing your skin. You brought the spring with you, that spring that filled him with life and hope after a harsh winter, and as he lost himself in your shinny pupils, standing among the multitude, he wondered how his heart had been able to beat until that moment when it hadn’t had you to beat for.
“Hey, Ji!” Minho called his name, following your gaze, and approaching him in a couple of steps, wrapping his arms around him in a tight hug.
Minho was dry in words, but his actions showed clearly enough how he truly felt.
Jisung's body reacted with the force of habit, relaxing into his hold with a quiet sigh, letting himself be embraced by the soothing warmth of Minho’s arms, but immediately tightening his grip on him, as if he was afraid that he would get back on that ship with the sudden desire to travel again. He couldn't allow it, he wouldn’t, at least for a long time. Unless they went together, that is. And after one last squeeze he let him step away, Jisung's hand firm on Minho's back, as Lee's only son turned to you.
This is Lord Han, as I told you,” he explained, and you bowed before him, lowering your head with a lingering smile curving your lips. Jisung wanted to kiss that smile into his mouth, but he cleared his throat instead, trying to fill his mind with other —more appropriate— thoughts.
“Milady here wanted to visit our city,” he continued, offering his hand to you, waiting for you to rest it over his, and squeeze it with a familiarity that made Jisung’s heart sting, “so I proposed to her to travel back with us and stay for a while. She was the girl I told you about in my last letter.”
The last letter that had arrived that morning, and that he hadn't read because he was arriving late.
“Then you were absolutely right, my brother,” Jisung uttered, his words withering in his tongue as he linked the word ‘propose’ between you and Minho, “you were going on a trip to try and find beautiful views out there in the world. You truly discovered the most breathtaking one.”
Minho gave Jisung a playful punch on the shoulder, his chest filling with pride, ready to affirm any compliment his friend could mutter about you, but he stopped when he saw you addressing Jisung, your voice delicate and honeyed, still hidden behind your fan.
“My lord really praised your composer skills during our trip here,” you whispered, averting your magnetic gaze from his as if you were having trouble bearing the knowledge that Jisung was observing you, completely stunned, but also desperate to continue any kind of conversation with you. “He forgot to add how much of a gentleman you were.”
But just before either of you could utter a single word, you heard Lady Lee drowning out a terrified shout, standing by the terrace, completely overpowered, and a spark of furious orange fur running across the grass like a shooting star in the darkest night. Minho gasped, and Jisung knew. His cat.
You were the one who took the initiative, unaware of the startled glares, smashing your fan into Minho's chest and grabbing the hem of your dress in one swift move. Before Jisung could realise he was chasing after you, both of you followed the mischievous creature at a fast pace, ignoring the calls of the rest of the men at the event. Jisung stared at your back, starstruck, breathing caught in his throat as he realised you were faster than him, heart rate increasing every second that passed in his hasty run. The only thing he could comprehend was that it wasn't the first time he had dealt with Minho's cats, that they knew him, and that for them you were a stranger. It would be his fault if the animal got stressed in your presence and ended up hurting you.
The hurried race took you both to the forest adjacent to the Lee property, and by the time Jisung spotted your figure among the foliage, he froze. Your elaborate bun had come loose, your flowing hair falling over your shoulders, and you had your dress pulled too far up your thighs, fully prepared to climb the tree where Soonie was waiting, curious about what you were doing.
Jisung couldn't think. He didn't know if you had heard him arrive, if you had even been aware that he had chased after you, but he didn't care. He could only focus on the smooth skin he was witnessing —more than he had ever seen in his life— contrasting with the darker colour of your dress. You didn’t seem uncomfortable being barefoot, your low heels abandoned among the thick roots of the weeping willow, one foot resting on a gap between the folds of the robust trunk and your hands holding tightly to the lowest branches.
It would be difficult to reach Soonie, he thought, because its branch, although low, was too thin for a human, even dangerous with the way it was located above the lake. Jisung could understand why the cat had chosen that tree. He also liked the way its leaves swayed in the wind, and it really did look like a giant feline toy, but Soonie and his two brothers already had scratching toys and little houses in the manor, all handmade by Minho. The adventure had to end before something went wrong.
He had wanted to warn you of his presence, but a leaf creaked under his boots, alerting you, scaring you, and making you lose focus on your tightrope walk along the branch below Soonie's. You lost your balance completely, and Jisung saw your hands trying to grab onto something, anything, before falling into a loud splash on the edge of the lake. Jisung would have laughed if his heart hadn't jumped in his chest, if you had been someone else, if he wasn't so deeply scared that you were seriously hurt.
Jisung stated in his place, paralysed for a second. He would have laughed, if his heart hadn't jumped in his chest, if you had been someone else, if he wasn't so deeply scared that you were seriously hurt.
He rushed over to where you were, mumbling a string of “I'm sorry’s” as you quickly emerged from the water, taking a breath of oxygen, desperately holding onto the hand Jisung was offering you. Your hair formed spirals in the water, floating around you, just like your dress. The water was up to Jisung's waist, but he felt so overstimulated that he wasn't able to process how he had just gotten his pants wet. All he could think about was that your gloves had torn, and that he was touching your skin, the soft but bloody skin of your outstretched hands, and that you were so close he could feel your rapid breathing against his body.
He cleared his throat, trying to get rid of the thoughts that were popping into his head, and pulled you lightly so you could stand up. Only instead of getting angry with him, blaming him for spying on you, your lips curved into a smile, and you let out a crystalline laugh, closing your eyes and relaxing your shoulders in front of him. You were the picture of happiness, cheeks still rosy and your chest rising and falling against the corset at full speed. Even he felt on edge, with adrenaline bubbling against his ribcage.
“There’s no need to be sorry, lord Han” you whispered under your breath, your eyes falling over him, Soonie purring above your heads. “It was a funny accident. I shouldn't have tried to climb so high.”
You weren't apologizing for running away, Jisung noticed, and he couldn't help but widen his smile at it. He was getting lost in your gaze again, too captured by you, and everything was going too fast. He didn't know if it was good or bad, but he didn't want to stop. At least until he realised that you were getting goosebumps, and the first shiver ran through you. He cursed himself for not having acted sooner, and helped you out of the lake with difficulty, the ground on the shore completely muddy under your bare feet and his heavy boots.
Jisung avoided looking at you as he turned slightly to take off his expensive suit jacket, ready to give it to you, but when he turned to offer it to you, he saw that you were removing your dress. He rushed to put his jacket over your shoulders before you could continue, shame creeping up his neck and leaving a trail of blush in its wake, and you flashed a mischievous smile, fully aware of it.
“I’m not going to end up naked in front of you, lord Han” you assured him, grabbing the thick fabric of your dress and leaving it on the grass, the figure of your body crafted by the thin white nightgown you wore underneath, before snuggling into Jisung's warm black blazer, “you should court me before we get there.”
Your words snapped Jisung out of the haze he was in, suppressing the urge he had to run his hands along your arms to help you warm up, and he picked up your dress and shoes from the floor, keeping his hands well occupied. He was a gentleman, he shouldn't… He had to involve you both in situations appropriate for a young lady like you. Not in an improvised swim, where you were going to end up so... God, so delicate and delicious, looking at him that way.
But he couldn’t. He couldn't continue with that train of thought. Not when everyone knew where you were, when Soonie was judging you two among the roots of the tree, approaching Jisung with the confidence of having found a familiar human. Before he could get any closer, you crouched down, holding out your fingers so he could smell them. It took a suspicious look and realising that Minho's cologne was still soaked in your skin to accept being held in your arms, sticking to your body to provide you with more warmth.
Jisung had to remember to buy Soonie more treats the next time he visited Minho.
“Are you coming?” you asked, oblivious to the way the vision you were was killing Jisung inside, you in his jacket, with that cheeky smile, your hair a wet mess, but still looking so beautiful.
Still, he nodded, treasuring every second in his memory. One look, and you had cast a spell on him. He would follow you wherever you asked as long as you were the one to guide him. He felt like he was in the verge of a cliff, knowing you now held his heart in your hand as easily as you had taken Minho's cat, knowing that if you broke it it would hurt more than a bad cut with a rusty knife. He had fallen catastrophically, but he was sure it would be a pleasure to be irrevocably yours if you'd let him.

masterlist ~ <- previous part - next part ->
“Talk to me.”
Sitting up beside Mingi, hair thrown astray, blankets and sheets tossed around from the night, you’ve watched him toss and turn for ten minutes, ignoring you. After catching you with Yunho he’d disappeared, shimmying beneath the sheets only a few minutes after you’d put yourself to bed. Not a word shared.
“Aurora told me things about him, I had to find out for myself,” you said, keeping your voice quiet, trying to be as nice as you possibly could. Mingi released a breath, a sigh, and rolled out of bed.
“Why?” he asked, his tone sharp. Taking his hands to his hair he shook the strands about and stepped into the bathroom, not bothering to close the door behind him. “If it’s between Rora and Yunho, let it stay between them.”
Mulling over your thoughts, flashbacks of the night so prominent, so vivid, you hung your head. “She, like, asked me for help, Mingi.” After the flush of the toilet and the running of the sink water he appeared, dragging his wet fingers through his strands once more, pushing and keeping it back off his forehead. Muscles flexing while he moved, his bare torso and boxers hanging low on his hips made your heart skip a beat.
“Did she?” he asked, eyes narrowing. He moved to the nightstand, putting his glasses on, the thin frames. “She did that?” You nodded and he laughed. “Tori, go talk to your boyfriend's best friend he hasn’t spoken to in weeks? Go talk to my ex who was fucking a whole other bitch our entire relationship?” Stomach going sour, you loosed a breath and squeezed your eyes shut. “Did she say that?”
“No, but she…” Opening your eyes, you gazed up at him and watched his face soften in real time as much as he fought for it not to. “She said she misses me, Mingi.”
Dancing his eyes about the bedroom, he planted his hands behind his neck. “Fantastic,” he grumbled. “Did Yunho tell you he misses me?” He moved to clothe himself, sweatpants and a t-shirt slung over a dresser.
“He asked about you,” you said just as he reached for the doorknob. He paused, hand hovering over the golden handle. “And, he said he still cares.” Looking over his shoulder at your small smile, he watched you pat the bed in front of you. “Sit, don’t leave me when you’re mad, please.” Straightening out, he lowered his eyes and obeyed, dragging his feet over the floor, letting his mass of self lay down before you. “I’m sick of you being mad at me.”
His eyes went wild. “Days ago you were sick of my presence!”
You sighed, eyes closing, head lolling back.
Protect what you do have.
“It sounds empty,” you whispered, looking down at him and his big brown eyes. “But, I’m sorry.”
“It’s not empty,” he said, finally turning his volume down. “You wouldn’t say it just to say it.”
Pulling your bottom lip between your teeth, you felt that lump in your throat. Blinking up at you, innocent eyed and having done nothing wrong to deserve any hostility, the urge to cry grew.
“I’m having a hard time, Mingi.”
He let out a breath, one he’d been holding since before you got on an airplane. On his stomach, he dropped his head into the duvet, his arms plastered beside it, making you laugh. A quiet one, but it worked. Scrambling to sit up, he crossed his long legs underneath him and put his massive hands on your knees.
“Tell me,” he whispered, chin low, brows flipped over. “Everything, Tor.”
Laying your hands over his, your fingers slipping within his grasp, you held onto him tight, and took a deep breath. Whether he understood anything or not, this was what he wanted. This would be good for you, for both of you. This was something you should’ve done over a week ago.
“It’s all so different now,” you said, and he nodded along, drinking up every word that spilled from your lips. “Everyone is changing, people are leaving, Yeosang and Ryujin, some have already left.” An endearing slight tilt of his head. “Life was so good, for so long, and then it happened, and it fucked it all up.” Scrunching your nose, being flung back in time whenever you spoke of it in detail, you sniffled though no tears were apparent.
Mingi tightened his fingers to let you know he was there.
“Yeji didn’t just take an opportunity from Ror. She didn’t just break our trust, she… She’s still ruining us and she’s not even here!” Looking up at him and his glistening eyes, you felt your lip crinkle, and finally, a tear.
Mingi scooted closer to you, taking a hand to your cheek, his thumb brushing the stray tear away. “I’m sorry it still bothers you like this.”
Nuzzling into his touch, you continued, “If she didn’t do what she did, Isla would still be here.” Mingi nodded. “Ryujin wouldn’t have to pretend like she’s okay. Yunho,” Mingi took a breath, and so did you, “Yunho would be here. Him and Ror… You and Yunho…”
“Yeah, maybe,” he mumbled, eyeing his thumb where it brushed over your cheek.
“Mina is a stupid bitch,” you grumbled, and he smirked.
“Torilynn!”
You cracked a laugh, shrugging. “She’s the reason he’s not around.”
Sighing, Mingi pursed his lips, then whispered, “Stupid bitch.” Laughing with him, you veered forward and pressed your head into his chest, breathing him in. Tipping his chin, he pressed a kiss to your unruly hair. Sitting here half clothed, freshly woken up, tangled in one another, oh, so needed. “He said he still cares?” he asked you after a moment of quiet, breathing in tandem.
“He did.” Sitting up, you moved yourself closer, nearly climbing onto his lap. “He was hurt about it.”
Toying with your hair, smoothing it out, Mingi asked, “That’s what you guys talked about last night?”
“I…” you took a breath, “At Cheers.” He paused. “I spoke with him.”
Mingi pulled his hand back and slouched. “Tori,” he whispered.
Grabbing onto his wrists, this time you do climb into his lap, both of your legs wrapping around his waist. “I know, I wanted to tell you but Ror saw and she got mad and it’s why she was pissed at me yesterday. You and me, we keep going around, and around, and around about the same stuff, and no matter what I do I can’t make that better, when in reality, I couldn’t fuckin’ cum ‘cause I had all this shit in my head!”
Straight faced for no longer than a beat, Mingi burst out in laughter, laying his head over your shoulder. In awe, a smile creeping onto your lips, you shook your head. “I love you,” he mumbled through his giggles and sighs, his body shaking the bed as he laughed.
“You mean that?” you asked, raising your brows. Wrapping your arms around his back, you latched them together by your wrists. He lifted his head with a lazy smile on his lips.
“More than you know.”
“I love you, too.”
“Why shut me out?” he whispered, his breath warming your skin, your noses centimeters apart. “You’ve never done that before, not even when your sister made us miserable at your birthday last year.”
Rolling your eyes, you said, “When we went to Iloa and my night became hers and my parents promoted it as her night out.”
Cringing, he nodded. “Damn, yeah.”
“It’s whatever,” you brushed it off with a shrug, “My dad paid for this vacation. I think he felt guilty. She gets their attention, I get their money.”
His eyes flickered to your lips. “You’ll always have my attention.”
With a soft smile you whispered, “Thank you, baby.” Closing the space between you, you pressed a kiss to his lips, one gentle and short. Meeting his eyes once you parted from him, your smiles grew in time, air between your bodies a thing of the past. Hooking one arm around you he kicked his legs out beneath him and laid you on your back, the heat of his kisses ripping a whine from your throat, his body weight over you instinctively making your knees part to make room for his waist. Fingers digging through his hair, tugging gently at the strands, but just enough for him to groan, for his sweats to grow a little tighter.
Tongue sneaking past your lips, he slowed everything down, the tip dragging along the edge of your teeth. Snaking a hand down your middle, his long fingers slipping underneath the band of the shorts you’d slept in, they breached your center, and just before he could get a moan out of you, you pulled his hand away.
Lips pulling away with a smack, he pressed his forehead to yours. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” you breathed, speaking in whispers. Pulling the shorts off of you, watching him watch you, you smiled. “Don’t want that.”
His heavy lidded eyes flickered to meet yours. “Tor, I should-”
“Don’t make me wait, Song Mingi.” His sweats went next, your hands yanking them off of him in a hurry. “Get inside me.”
Arms slung around your back, having put you back in your clothes moments prior, Mingi pressed his lips to your cheek while you struggled to pull your hair back. Moving around his kisses, leaning into them, letting them land elsewhere as your hands worked, you finally tied your layers into a pony and spun in his grasp, kissing him properly.
“I don’t wanna go down there,” he whispered to you, dragging his hands over your back, sliding them further, teasing the band at your waist. Pouting your lips, he caught them in a kiss. “Let’s stay here.”
“I wish,” you whispered with a smile. His gaze danced around your face. “We have to help clean up, I know it’s a mess.”
“The house or the people?” He smirked.
Rolling your eyes, you huffed, “Both.”
With a squeeze of his hands, he asked, “Are you gonna talk to Rora?”
“I’ll have to see what kind of mood she’s in,” you whispered, eyes flickering down to his lips you wished you could drown in for the rest of the day. Maybe the rest of the vacation. “She definitely doesn’t remember anything about last night.”
Mingi brought a hand up, grazing it over your cheek. His brows turned under in the center. “She’s honest when she drinks. Whatever she said to you, it’s the truth, whether she shows it when she’s sober or not. If she misses you drunk, she misses you.”
That means her feelings for Yunho…
“Right,” you breathed, lashes fluttering in hesitance to say any more. “Let’s go down, gonna need you behind me if I talk to her.” Turning for the door, Mingi grabbed onto your hand, pulling you back some.
Lips tightening, he glanced down to your hands. “Just wanted to ask you,” he started, thumb dragging over your wrist as he looked into your eyes, “Is there was anything else you wanted to tell me?”
Everything came to mind, the last week or so like a flashback before your eyes, occurring between you and Mingi. There were things you were unsure of, like the mystery texter you haven’t heard from since yesterday morning, or Jongseob talking about you to all of his friends apparently. The latter seemed the more normal of the two, that happened more often, Mingi already knew Jongseob was a little shit, that he talked about you, that he properly wanted you. This texter though… That was yours to keep, yours to hold onto. A game to play with yourself, one you wouldn’t let get too deep, you’d simply find out who was messaging you, then let it go.
“Uh,” you sighed, shrugging your shoulders, “Jongseob’s been up my ass whenever he’s around, but I keep him in line. That’s about it,” you said. “I’ll sort things out with Aurora, then I’ll let you know what’s going on with us.”
A smile peeked out onto his cheeks, one that didn’t reach his eyes. Pulling you closer, he kissed your forehead and nodded for the door. “Let’s go,” he whispered.
Red plastic cups were scattered across the floor, even on the third floor, where people didn’t venture last night. Picking them up, stacking them together, both you and Mingi with a couple in your hands, the two of you didn’t leave the other's energy, sticking close together, almost side by side, elbows brushing as you passed by the other.
The house was quiet. Silent. Weird.
“What time is it?” you asked Mingi within a whisper, starting down the stairs for the second floor, grabbing cups along the way and stray trash.
Mingi bent over on the stairs, brows focused, picking up the end of a joint between his fingers. Holding it up for you to see, you popped your brows and shook your head with a snicker. “Close to one, I think.”
“Why is no one else up?”
All around the bar, in front of Seonghwa and Soul’s doors, a mess. Shoving trash into your arms, the stack of cups growing, you stepped over spills on the floor, crumbs and crushed up, trampled on food, a broken shot glass behind the bar, liquor bottles littered on every surface.
“When the fuck did all of this happen,” you muttered, straightening up what you could with what room you had left in your hands. Glancing about at the lounge chairs, it seemed so far that no people were left behind, everyone must’ve left.
Mingi started putting bottles away until he grumbled about coming back to do it later. “Should we even bother, what’s tonight gonna turn into?” he asked, giving you a look.
Pursing your lips, sauntering by him to the stairs, you winked. “I’m going to Wave tonight, I don’t know about you.”
He smirked. “You got a date?”
Tossing your ponytail over your shoulder, you looked back at him. “Are you asking me out, Song Mingi?”
He fumbled with the things in his arms as you gave him a once over. “Maybe.” His voice faltering made you laugh.
“Hm, well,” you began, starting down the stairs for the kitchen, Mingi hurrying behind you, “I planned to meet up with this guy.”
A warm hum sounded. “Oh, really?” he asked.
“Yeah,” you smiled, looking back over your shoulder, washing away whatever subtle worry he wore on his face. “He’s really tall.”
Mingi blinked. “Taller than me?”
“Just as tall as you,” you said with a giggle. “He’s got blonde hair,” you took a step into him when you both reached the first floor, “He wears these cute little glasses that make me crazy.” Mingi smiled now, tipping his chin down to keep his eyes locked on yours. “Sometimes he’s so silly,” you whispered, the narrowing of your eyes over your smirk making him roll his eyes, “I make jokes and he doesn’t get them.”
He furrowed his brow. “Hey, I get them.”
Taking a hand to his cheek, you give it a pinch. “Of course you do.”
There’s a moment of quiet between you both before Mingi whispered, “You were talking about me right?”
Standing to your tiptoes you pressed a kiss to the tip of his nose. “Yes,” you breathed, fluttering your lashes. He flashed you his teeth in the quickest, smallest smile. “I want to go with you,” you said, taking you and your shadow into the kitchen and around the island to the garbage that you held open for him to dump the contents of his arms into. “And, if anyone else in this house plans to go, like Soul, or anyone else, then we’ll make it a night.”
Sitting up from the couch, quite literally folding himself in half, Yunho popped his head over the cushions. “Where you guys going?”
Jumping a mile, clinging onto Mingi’s arm, you both faced the sofa with an intake of breath, startled.
“Jesus Christ,” you sneered, glaring his way, shocked to find him still in the building. “Did you sleep on the fucking couch?”
He and Mingi shared something of a look, one unbeknownst to you. Their relationship was their own, their friendship was theirs and theirs only. Made for one another, platonic soulmates if you will, they were brothers, the kind that spoke their own language, the kind that always covered for the other, at least would have, back when the circumstances weren’t detrimental. Whatever they shared now in this moment, it wasn’t for you to understand.
“I did,” Yunho said. “I’ve been up for like an hour.”
Mingi shook his head. “And you’ve just been laying here?”
“I can’t exactly go walking around this house, can I?” Yunho shot him a glare.
Your boyfriend shrugged. “We have a… there’s an extra room upstairs…”
The back of your hand swatted at his thigh. “He would not wanna sleep up there,” you whispered through your teeth, but Yunho heard you anyway.
Dropping his head with a laugh, he muttered, “Spare me.”
Tension grew thick, the air going dense, closing in around the three of you. Neither of them knew what to do, knew what to say. Boys were different when it came to this sort of thing, in your years of growing up with a sister they were an entirely different species to deal with, and since your start at Nasara you’ve only just begun to understand what they were like seeing them interact in the wild.
“I can play mediator,” you said, “Say what you need to say to each other.”
Mingi squeezed your arm, then stepped over to the back of the couch. Lips parting in shock you watched him extend a hand toward him. “Are we good?”
Yunho glanced at his fingers, up at his friend, then back to his hand that he grabbed and shook. “Yeah, we’re good.”
“You talked to my girl?” Mingi questioned, and Yunho answered with an eye roll.
“About you,” he mumbled.
Mingi tilted his head. “And Rora.”
Yunho moved onto his knees to look at you from around Mingi’s frame, both of his hands latching the cushions. “So we’re telling people.”
Throwing a hand toward Mingi, you scoffed. “He’s my boyfriend!” The boys shared another look, then they both started to smile. “I don’t get it,” you huffed, whirling around for the fridge. Their heads followed you in unison. “Are we good? Yeah, yeah? And you guys are fine?” Pulling out a bottle of water you cracked it open and faced the island, grilling them with your brows.
Mingi and Yunho looked at one another, then they looked at you, and at the same time they said, “Yeah.”
“Unbelievable,” you muttered, taking another swig of water.
“You gotta keep that shit to yourself,” Yunho said, focusing up on Mingi who bobbed his head. “She was the only one who knew, and now you, so, please, keep it to yourself. I’m already in deep shit as it is.”
His best friend slapped a hand to his shoulder and shook him around. “I got you.” And you and Yunho both knew that he meant it.
Footsteps sounded up on the second floor, your ears perking up as a voice shouted, “Why does it sound like there’s scum in my house?”
Wooyoung.
The three of you cringed. You swore Yunho’s cheeks drained of all color.
He appeared at the bottom of the stairs in sweatpants and an unzipped hoodie with nothing beneath it. Scanning the room, he managed to read everyone in seconds, ending with Yunho. You and Mingi held your breath. The corners of his lips wanted to pull into a smile, but his piercing eyes said elsewise.
“Oh,” he sighed, then shifted his gaze over to you. “Probably because there’s scum in my house.” Strutting by you, heading for the fridge, you pulled a face, one Mingi told you to get rid of with a wave of his hand, but you couldn’t help yourself.
Turning toward him, you leaned up against the counter. “It’s not your house.” Voice level, completely serious, Wooyoung faced you with the same amount of surety. He twisted open his water and took a sip, letting his lips poke out between his lips. Golden skin on display, perfectly curved nose framed by his messy waves, you didn’t look elsewhere, you made sure of it.
“It could be with the click of two buttons,” he said, and your hands tightened around your plastic bottle. “It’s not mine, but isn’t it one you’d want to keep your best friend safe in?”
Your heart skipped a beat. “What the fuck do you mean by that?”
Wooyoung threw a hand toward Yunho. “Bringing him in here, having him-”
You closed the space between you, going nearly nose to nose. “No, what the fuck do you mean by that, Wooyoung?”
“Tori,” he sighed, both of his hands coming up to keep you at a distance from him.
“Are you saying I should’ve stopped her last night? Should’ve kept her away from you? Away from San?” Mingi rounded the island at some point, one of his arms around your shoulders, pulling you back from the boy's face.
Yunho shifted on the couch, his eyes sharp. “What happened last night?”
“Nothing happened last night,” Wooyoung spat, and you laughed aloud, the sound echoing up towards and past the third floor.
“Bullshit,” you shouted. “Those were a bold choice of words to use, Wooyoung, what the fuck?”
Capping his water, he shook his head and moved about the kitchen, looking for something to eat. “Not what I meant Tori, and you know it,” he grumbled, turning back around with two big bags of half eaten chips, glancing toward the stairs as Seonghwa stepped off the bottom one. “What happened last night we planned weeks ago,” he said to you, punctuating his sentence with a grimace, replicating the one he gave you yesterday morning, almost in this exact spot.
Yunho gripped the cushions, his eyes not having left Wooyoung since he came downstairs. Almost like he was the next best thing to Aurora herself. “What happened last night,” he repeated in a whisper so hushed you’re certain no one else heard it.
“Hey, bro,” Seonghwa took a lap around the couch to shove Yunho’s head and ruffle his hair. “What the hell are you doing here?” he asked with a laugh, taking in the energy of the room, you in Mingi’s grasp, Wooyoung now in his own world. Yunho gave him a look that said if only you knew. “Oh boy,” he snickered, passing by you and Mingi, “You guys are friends again?” Wooyoung lifted his eyes, him and Mingi making eye contact for the tiniest of seconds.
“We’re cool,” your boyfriend said, his voice vibrating in his chest against your back.
“Cool,” Seonghwa situated himself with a snack at the counter and exchanged something with Yunho, “Don’t get comfy.”
The boy on the couch frowned, his shoulders slumping. “Why?” he asked quietly.
Footsteps sounded from the floor above.
Seonghwa pointed toward them.
“Who runs this house?” Yunho shook his head. “I feel like I’m at school.”
Wooyoung groaned. “Don’t group me in with that shit.”
Shifting in Mingi’s arms to face the stairs and Seonghwa, you nudged his ankle with a toe and he graced you with his attention. “Did he not stay over?”
“Who? H?” Curling his brow, you answered with a nod and he relaxed. “Nah, he left with Yeosang and Keni.”
Pouting your lips, you asked, “Why?”
He shrugged. “‘Cause I wanted him to.” Smirking at your confusion, he turned his attention to the stairs, leaving you with a thousand unanswered questions.
Wobbling beneath San’s arm, one of her own wrapped around the back of his bare torso, Aurora had her head laid on his shoulder. Her hair was a mess, the strands thrown up on top of her head in a tie, like she’d fallen asleep like that. Clearly unshowered, makeup stained her face, beneath her eyes, the bronzer on her cheeks streaky from obvious tears. Your stomach lurched. She shouldn’t be down here. Your Aurora wouldn’t want to be down here, not like this.
Slipping from Mingi’s arms you left him beside Seonghwa, the boys falling into conversation of their own, Wooyoung included. Yunho sat on the couch, eyes locked on Aurora, brows confused, body equally ready to jump up to aid her even though he knows he can’t.
She was clothed, that much had been done. She wore more than the boys in the kitchen combined.
“Hi,” you said, voice hushed, cutting off whatever she and San were whispering about. They came to a pause before stepping fully into the kitchen. Everyone had seen her, and she didn’t even know it. Lifting her head, blinking her smudged eyes toward you, you accepted the dirty look. You weren’t sober friends yet, you knew this, she didn’t. “Come upstairs with me.”
“Why would I do that?” She reeked of vodka. Of straight liquor. She might even still be drunk. Her body dipped into San’s more than it already had been. “San was gonna make me breakfast, I’m starving,” she whined, her eyebrows flipping over. Something else lived behind her eyes, something you’ve never seen in your years of knowing her.
“I got her,” San beguiled, but it fell flat. For the first time, his light smile and lusty eyes didn’t make you blush. He tried to move past you, through you, but you held out a hand, placing it to his shoulder. “Tor, she wants to eat.”
Aurora gulped, one you felt. She looked up, the emptiness within her reaching for you, like all feelings of stupid bullshit that shouldn’t have even mattered in the first place had been washed away. Without her even saying a word, she pleaded, begged you to take her elsewhere.
“Yeah,” you breathed, slipping an arm around her back, swiftly pulling her out of San’s, “Let’s go.”
“Tori,” she whispered to you, her voice cracking, tears welling in her eyes. Letting her entire weight go into you, you held onto her and started for the stairs.
“I know,” you whispered back to her with a reassuring squeeze, “I got you.”
“Wait,” she whispered, stopping you with what strength she had to turn around in your arms.
“Ror, let’s just-” “No,” she said, cutting you off, her eyes flickering around the kitchen at every face. It was evident when she found Yunho, though she tried to keep it on lock, she couldn’t help the way her fingers tightened around you. “Where’s Soul?”
“Hm?” you questioned, keeping your focus over her.
Seonghwa overheard. “Is he not in his room?” Wooyoung stepped around the boys munching, brows furrowed over his pointed eyes.
Aurora shook her head. “I checked when I came down, he’s not… Fuck.” Her fingers tightened tenfold. “We told him not to leave.” She looked from Seonghwa, to Wooyoung, back to Seonghwa. “I told you guys, don’t let him leave.”
Seonghwa held his arms out. “We know that.”
“I said it last night,” she shook her head. “I swear, I was saying it all night, since his little friends showed up.” A chill ran down your spine. Seonghwa glanced at you. “Don’t let him leave.”
Meeting eyes with Yunho, both of you equally flabbergasted, you stifled a nervous laugh as he rose from the couch without making a sound and slipped into his shoes.
“I’m sure he’s at Jongseob’s,” you muttered, pulling Aurora toward the stairs, but she dug her feet into the hardwood.
“No, no, no,” she gasped, eyes shooting open wide as she reached for Wooyoung, “You have to go. Now.” Seonghwa leapt into action first, whizzing by you and Aurora in nothing but a pair of shorts, flying toward the front door with Wooyoung right behind him. “Oh my god,” Aurora whined, tipping forward into your chest, her tears falling. “Theo’s gonna kill me.”
Maneuvering Aurora up three flights of stairs when her muscles could barely hold herself up was a trip, but you managed. Skipping over her bedroom on the third floor not wanting to find out what was behind the closed door, you opted for your own room, helping her over the opened suitcases on the floor and stray clothes thrown about. Pushing open the bathroom door with one hand, you moved her inside and she dropped to her knees in front of the toilet, white knuckling the ceramic.
Groaning the whole way up, your littles whispers of encouragement keeping her moving, she finally grumbled, “I don’t feel good.” And then she repeated herself, pushing wisps of hair off her forehead before the hand slapped back to the toilet.
Standing behind her, her waist wedged between your ankles, you pulled out the elastic completely tangled in her hair, and pulled it up nicer, more tidy, out of her face.
“You’re gonna be okay,” you spoke quietly to her, you knew her head was pounding, and she most definitely was still drunk. With one hand on her back to comfort her as she made herself sick, you turned the shower on to the hottest that it would go. Still wedged between your legs, you rolled toilet paper onto your hand and bent down to wipe her face, pulling her back some to flush the toilet, tossing the tissue in as you did.
“I’m sorry I’ve been mad at you,” she muttered, her eyes squeezed shut as she tipped her head up like she wanted to look at you.
Leaning backward to pull a cotton pad from one of your bags, you doused it in micellar water and bent down again to wipe the makeup off of her face. “You don’t have to apologize to me. I’ve equally been a bitch.” You threw the soiled cotton pad into the toilet and reached for another, the first one completely black.
“We’ve both been bitches,” she said, rocking with every one of your wipes, pulling across her skin, letting you move her around. “Why?” Her eyes opened. You paused. Looking at her upside down, not the first time you’ve seen her like this, you took a deep breath.
“You know maybe you should stop drinking, too,” you said, and she started to laugh, one short and half amused.
“Don’t ignore my question, Tori,” she almost slurred, tossing a hand up to pat your cheek. “Talk to me. Tell me things.”
“Like, things you told me last night?”
She dropped her hand and opened her eyes, her smile wiping away. With one more swoop under her eyes now that you could get to it, you tossed the cotton pad in the toilet and sighed.
“What did I tell you last night?” Her whisper shook.
Glancing into the mirror in front of you, the glass foggy and the air in the bathroom growing thick, you shook your head. “Nothing, come on, get in there, sweat this out. Shower it off of you. I know you feel gross.” You reached for the hem of her shirt and she snatched it away from you. The emptiness in her eyes came back.
“I feel gross,” she barely whispered. Twisting on the floor between your legs she looked up at you and her lip quivered. “We…”
Dropping to your knees, you shook your head really fast and she stopped. You wrapped your arms around her and pulled her into a hug, holding her tight.
“Tori,” she whispered after a minute of quiet tears on your shoulder. Pulling back from her a bit you wiped one of her cheeks and nodded. “They didn’t do anything wrong.”
Swallowing hard, clenching your jaw, you nodded again, muttering a quiet, “I know.”
Her lip crinkled, and a tear fell down her cheek. “Then why do I feel like this?”
Because you shouldn’t be dealing with them.
Because you should be with the one who may or may not still be on the couch downstairs.
Your so-called soulmate.
You opted for, “I don’t know, but I’m here. You’re tired. You need a shower. Some water, too. Let me step out so you can get in there.”
Her hands clutched onto you, not letting you move an inch. “No,” she whispered. “Stay in here.” Nodding your agreeance, you sat atop the closed toilet after helping her into the shower. “Can you tell me what I said to you last night?”
Eyes widening, you clasped your arms around your knees and took a deep breath. “You sure about that?”
“Please,” she said from behind the glass.
“Okay,” you started. “But, you said this, not me.”
“Can we get another round?” Aurora asked the bartender in a black leather bodysuit behind the bar. The man with spiky blonde hair and skinny shoulders nodded once with his pursed, glossed lips, and he hurried off to fetch the tiny glasses while attending to his other guests at the bar. Yanking at the hem of her shorts, Aurora adjusted herself on the stool made of silver metal and twisted on it to face you.
Elbow on the edge of the bar that reflected the flash of the neon lights, you watched her with half of a frown. “We could be done after this,” you said, and she laughed.
“Come on, Tor,” she reached over to you to adjust the edge of your tank with beads that glowed like a beacon within the dark walls of Wave, “It’s our night, I don’t wanna think about anything else.” Spiky blonde hair with neon green nails slid a few shot glasses towards you two before sauntering away to the other end of the bar. Aurora picked her two up and knocked them back with ease.
It’d been a few hours since you helped her get dressed, the two of you moving about her mess of a bedroom in complete silence after you’d dropped the bomb of her drunken confession. Not that it was confession material, but it certainly was bomb material. She’d been keeping it in since the end of the school year. You vowed not to tell a soul, and that you would let her and help her unpack it more when she felt ready to do so.
Side by side down two flights of stairs, you kept an eye on her as she wandered the kitchen, the room having cleared of all boys aside from your own, making sure she hydrated and found something to eat. You had slid into Mingi’s arms in the living room for all of five seconds, popping a quick kiss on his lips, flashing him the tiniest smile of admiration. Appreciation. Your rock.
Aurora said the words herself. You had a good one, your soulmate. With Mingi, his loyalty was never a question. His devotion to you, something that would never have you lying awake at night doubting. What you see is what you get, nothing more. His ability to be one thing, so consistent, a quality that bothered you for months, and for what?
This morning you watched your best friend trudge down the stairs in another man's arms while her supposed man didn’t seem to care. In fact, you didn’t see them speak until an hour or so before you pulled her out the door, dragging her here to Wave on your own, out of the house, away from men. Her and Wooyoung, they spoke quietly, whispers, though Aurora couldn’t hide shit and gave away what they were discussing by throwing out a hand in the direction of Jongseob’s house.
Soul. The quiet little thing that you allowed to stay beneath your roof for the month.
Don’t let him leave!
She was talking about Soul. Not Yunho.
That weird protection thing, it was done for a reason. One no one let you in on.
“Did they end up finding Soul?” you asked, taking a shot at the same time.
Aurora swung her head side to side, tipsy already. Hair that hung naturally over her shoulder flipped backward as she flashed you her raised eyebrows. “No,” she whispered, then giggled. Squeezing her eyes shut she pressed her fingers to her forehead and groaned. “He won’t pick up his phone either.”
“He’s with his friends,” you said, and she dropped her hands into her lap. “He’ll be fine, he’ll come back.”
Aurora laughed, once. “Yeah, or he’s on a boat in the middle of the ocean, or on a plane on his way across the world, or in the back of someone’s van sipping on wine coolers.”
You laid your arm across the bar, reaching for your second shot. Eyeing her, you asked, “Ror, were you really babysitting him?” The breath she released told you plenty, yet not enough. “He’s a big kid. He can take care of himself.”
“No, he can’t,” she scoffed, shooting you a tight lipped smile. Sliding her hands down to her knees, she squeezed them and glanced out at the crowded room. Colors flashing like mad, people’s clothes, their bathing suits glowing in the blacklight, keeping expressions hidden, she closed her eyes again before focusing back on you. “He believes everything people tell him. Seonghwa fucks with him all the time to teach him not to, but…”
“He trusts too easily,” you shrugged, and the way her smile faltered rendered you uneasy.
“He doesn’t work like everyone else, Tor, let’s just say that,” she sighed, taking the shot from your hand, downing it herself. Wiping her mouth with the back of her hand, she said, “It gets him taken advantage of. Those friends of his?” Her face distorted. “They use him, ‘cause they know he won’t say no. He wants to keep his friends, he trusts his friends, so when they ask him to do something that’s not right, or that’ll get him into some massive shit, he’s gonna do it.”
“That sounds like a Soul problem, Ror,” you said quietly, animosity unknown to your tone. “It’s not your responsibility to fix him, or babysit him.”
She slid the glass against the bar and it took off, bumping the edge, tipping over the other side onto the floor with a crash. Pressing her lips together, she jumped off her stool like you did. “Oh shit,” she giggled, sparing you a glance. The tiny little bartender hurried over and shooed your worry away.
“Happens all the time,” he said, kicking broken pieces of glass with his foot before someone else swooped in with a broom. “You girls want more?” He propped a hand on his hip, over his leather, and shifted his weight to the side while his coworker cleaned up Aurora’s mess.
“Ye-”
“No, we’re good,” you said with a smile, grabbing onto her wrist. “We’ll be back, you can keep the tab open.”
“I wanted another shot,” she whined, stumbling over her feet behind you as you dragged her to the mass of bodies dancing in the middle of the room. Luckily the lights flashing and the glow of the clothes people wore distracted her. “God damn, this place is cool. Soul was right.”
“Let’s dance,” you said, taking hold of her wrists. “Ror and Tor,” you offered, and she smiled, and for the first time since you’ve arrived in Haos you saw a peek of your best friend behind the facade of all she was becoming.
“Ror and Tor,” she parroted, letting the music take control.
All thoughts of Soul dissipated. Though you were beginning to understand why things were the way they were with him, it wasn’t fair to Aurora to carry this strange responsibility of caring for him. Both her and Wooyoung, it seemed, even Seonghwa. The three of them hovering over him like some sort of parent. How much trouble could one person get into? How bad was bad?
Minutes stretched beneath the lights, within the hot, sweaty air of Wave. In the midst of the crowd of bodies moving to the music, you and Aurora holding onto one another somehow, your smiles never breaking, you let the energy swallow you. Hips swaying, hands in the air, spinning in circles gripping to each other's wrists, dancing to music you half recognized, everyone beneath the lights moved just the same. In their own world, not a care if you bumped into them, and when you did, they’d invite you into their circle. Strangers taking you and Aurora into their arms, laughing together, singing along to the rhythm pouring out the speakers.
Careful and sober enough to not let her get swept away by strangers she danced on, you didn’t bother pulling her away from a twenty something year old, shirtless with hair dark, short and spiked. With one eye on her you gave your attention to the two girls standing with him, both in swimsuits that rendered electric under the blacklights.
“This is cute,” the one with long, straight hair reached over to you, tugging at the hem of your tank top embellished with beads, “Where’d you get it?”
Leaning into her, smiling at her friend with a messy pixie cut, you shouted over the music, “My boyfriend bought it for me last summer. Vintage Louis Vuitton.”
Pixie cut gasped, stepping closer to you, putting her hands on the soft fabric that hung off your frame loosely and flashed a bit of your tanned midriff. “This is money.”
“It is,” you grinned, letting them fawn over you. “They don’t make it anymore, so he had to fight to find it. Some collector up in Iloa had it.”
“Iloa,” the girl with long, straight hair scoffed, looking up at you. “You from there?”
“Tamoe,” you corrected nicely, “But, we’ll take weekends there all the time. One of our good friends plays for the Lions.” Pixie cut gave her friend a look, her fingers still playing with your tank.
Long, straight hair side eyed her. “So, you guys are rich, rich.”
With a breath, you rolled your eyes. Stomach taking a tumble, never sure how to handle this kind of conversation, you mustered up, “Just… taken care of.”
“I’m sure.” Long, straight hair shifted her stare into something that furthered the weight in your gut.
“My boyfriend never buys me cute things,” pixie cut pouted.
Forcing a smile back onto your face, you asked, “Boyfriend, is he here?”
She tilted her head. “Your friend’s grinding on him.”
“Oh my god,” you sighed, cheeks flushing of color. “I’m so sorry.”
Whirling around to grab onto Aurora’s shoulders, you heard her say, “It’s fine, we like it.”
“What!” Aurora shouted, falling backward into your arms.
Whisking her away, leaving the group behind and the boy dumbfounded, you mumbled, “You know how to find ‘em.”
“Who!?”
“The freaks.”
Getting her on a bar stool, listening to her laugh, one high pitched and breathless, you pulled your phone from your pocket and flopped onto one beside her. Checking your messages for the first time tonight, you had missed two, both sent within the last two hours. One from your dad, and another from ITZ. Tapping on your dads thread, the corners of your lips perked up.
[best dad ever<3]: Hope you’re enjoying your vacation! Your mom and I are headed up to Iloa with Sitara, she’s filming interviews for her new movie… You’ll be home in time for the premiere. She got you and Mingi tickets. She hopes to see you there. I added $$ into your account. Send us pictures!
Money, right. Rich, rich. Typing back to him after adding a heart to the message, you gave him endless thanks without mentioning a word about attending your sister's movie premiere. You’d discuss further with Mingi. The last one didn’t quite go to plan. Sure it was smaller than this one would be, she didn’t have as big of a role like she did this time around, so tickets were limited. At least that was her excuse. You had to attend without Mingi, just you and your parents, shortly after Sitara’s horrific breakup with her co-star you begged her to not get involved with.
Two tickets for you and Mingi. Surely your parents doing. Your fathers doing. He had your back as much as he could have when it came to your mother and Sitara, the two of them always in cahoots, running the show, ordering him around. Whenever he did things for you it happened in secret.
Aurora tipped her head backward and stared at the ceiling, twisting her chin side to side. “Trippy,” she sang, then fell back into a fit of breathless, high pitched giggles. You spared her a glance, your brows furrowed, then opened the message from ITZ.
[ITZ]: miss me?
[you]: not at all.
To your surprise, he responded instantly.
[ITZ]: are things better with the boyfriend
[you]: yes actually, we’re great.
[ITZ]: wow. so u told him abt me ;)
[you]: no, why would i do that.
He didn’t answer. Staring at the screen for about a minute, swiping at the messages, waiting for another, you groaned and slapped your phone to the bar, twisting to face it. Resting your elbows on the edge, you looked over at Aurora half bent over on the stool, still laughing.
“Ror, what’s the matter?” you asked. When she sat up, her face split with a grin, she almost toppled backward. Pushing her up, keeping one hand on a shoulder, you used the other to grab onto her chin. “Ror?” Turning her, forcefully because she tried to fight you, still laughing, one glimpse in her eyes and your stomach sunk. “What the fuck?” Pupils blown open, cheeks warm and getting warmer, you knew her skin was buzzing.
“You’re so pretty,” she said, voice sweet.
“What did you do?” you asked, voice stern.
She blinked, slow, and started to laugh again. “That guy gave it to me.”
“Gave you what,” you grit your teeth. She shrugged, growing more and more limp in your grasp. In these minutes she reverted back into someone you didn’t recognize. Swallowing hard, clenching your jaw, you spoke words you wished to never speak again. “Aurora, what would your dad say?”
A topic never discussed unless she brought it up first.
Within her, whatever part that still listened, was still conscious, it wanted to scream. Hearing those words, knowing what that threat did to her, she wanted to yell, she wanted to lay you out on the floor with figurative fists made of words laced with venom, but she was high, so she couldn’t. You wanted her to do it, you wanted her to yell, to get mad, to move with the passion you know consumed her, but she couldn’t. Restraints in more ways than one prevented it.
“I’m fine,” she said after a breath, sitting herself up. Pulling you off of her, actually moving your hands, she twisted herself around and leaned against the bar. Standing beside her, holding up her weight, you huffed a laugh and shook your head,
“No, you’re not,” you grumbled, looking out onto the dance floor, at the masses of people, letting her order another drink from the tiny bartender.
You should take her home, but that meant lugging her into a house of men, one of which lived on your shitlist at the moment. She probably didn’t want to be near him right now anyway, and in this state, it’d do them no good. It played out in your head, Wooyoung reprimanding her, therapizing her. Though after what they’ve done they should talk about it, he should listen to her feelings, even if you weren’t sure how she really felt about it all, or the reason behind why she was living how she’d been living…
Chestnut brown hair poked out from the half naked bodies, half naked himself. In tiny shorts and a cut off tank, Yeosang weaved through people with Keni attached to his hand, both wearing smiles that grew once they found you.
“Mingi said you were here,” he said, throwing an arm around your back to hug you. Keni gave you a quiet hi, keeping herself snug against her boyfriend's arm.
Returning her hi, you looked up at Yeosang and pursed your lips. “We were having fun,” you said with a subtle eye roll.
“What happened?” he asked, brows flattening over his round eyes that narrowed. The birthmark on his cheek winked at you. Grabbing Aurora by the hair, you gently pulled her back against your chest. Gripping her drink that she sipped through the straw, she blinked up at Yeosang and Keni and gasped, nearly choking on her drink. Yeosang studied her face. “She’s high,” his doctor's brain came to a conclusion way faster than yours was able to register her state.
“A stranger gave her drugs.” Aurora looked up at you, upside down, her head pushing into your heart. She giggled. “Not funny,” you spat, and she laughed harder.
Yeosang touched her cheek and softly tugged under one of her eyes with the tip of his thumb. Curling his lip, he shrugged and took his hand back. “She’s on molly. It’ll wear off in a few hours.”
“You’re sure?” Flashing him widened eyes, he reassured your worries with a definite head nod. “What are we gonna do without you?”
Keni let out a laugh, one she shared with Yeosang as he looked down at her.
“I’ll be a phone call away,” he said to you before focusing on his girlfriend, “Want a drink?” he asked, ushering her onto a stool on the other side of Aurora.
“Always,” Keni smized, sliding her hand down his muscley arm to link their fingers together. He stood behind her, his other arm wrapping around her front, resting his chin on top of her head.
Sparing you another glance, he said, “Get her a water instead of whatever she’s drinking.”
“Right,” you breathed, and followed his directions, letting the couple go back to themselves. Positioning her upright, Aurora reached for your phone and tapped at it, head wobbling to either side as she attempted to hum along to the music thumping. “You’ll finish this,” you said to her, bringing the fresh glass closer to her after the bartender dropped it off, “And then, we’re leaving.” She grabbed the glass and brought it to her lips. After one sip and a lick of her lips, she started to chug the rest.
“I lost you guys!” A laugh followed the words, one that made Aurora lurch and cough, the glass rattling on the bar as she let go of it. Whipping your head to the right, worst case scenario manifested before your eyes.
“Yunho.”
His smile vanished, looking from Yeosang, to you, to Aurora. “Tori.” Shaking his head, he focused his eyes on Yeosang. “I was- I got stuck over- Where there…” Squeezing his eyes shut, he scrunched his entire face up. Keni laughed at him.
Aurora used both hands on the bar to turn herself around to face you, her back to Yunho and the couple. She blinked up at you, then sloppily thrusted your phone toward you. Brows pointed, eyes dreary, staring at the beads on your tank, she said all too loud, “Who’s ITZ?”
Only Yeosang turned his head. Yunho ordered a beer from the boy much smaller than him.
“I don’t… I don’t know what you’re talking about,” you said, trying to keep your words between you two, and you two only.
She cinched her brows. “ITZ, in your phone,” she said. Tipping her chin up to look at you, she almost fell backward, Keni had to take an arm to her back to maneuver her back up.
Now Yunho paid attention.
“Ror,” you half laughed, resting an arm on her shoulder, both to comfort her and support her, “It’s nothing, let’s just go, okay?”
She blinked, moving her head around, as if she tried to shake it. “Is there a group chat behind my back?” The words came out slowly, a little slurred.
“No, Ror,” you shifted around to catch her eyes that focused elsewhere. “There’s no-”
“Why are you texting ITZ?” she asked, voice cracking. Giving you her flipped brows, her eyes welling with tears, you took your hands to her cheeks and shook your head. “I don’t know about it, and you’re texting ITZ, for a long time, I scrolled, Tori, what is that? Who?”
“Nothing, it’s nothing,” you pleaded with her, brushing your thumbs under her eyes. “Aurora, I swear to you, it has nothing to do with ITZ.”
She was high. She was drunk. Intoxicated. She wouldn’t remember this. Deal with the drama now, let her forget about it tomorrow. You’d change the name in your phone, it’d be as if it never happened.
Why was naming the stranger ITZ a good idea?!
“What if you’re lying?” she whispered, gripping onto the fabric of your tank. Yanking you closer, she stared at you.
“I’m not lying.”
“But, what if you are?” Her eyes narrowed. “You aren’t supposed to lie to me. We don’t lie. Who is ITZ?”
Pulling your lips into a line, your eyes begging hers, you could only shrug.
A laugh left her, one wicked enough to turn a few heads. Tears spilled over onto her cheeks as she threw her hands away, not enough strength to push you, or move you at all.
Yunho’s focus followed her, every move she made. Attempting to keep her where she sat, she apparently did have enough strength to dodge you, but she tripped and stumbled when she tried to stand up. Both you and Yunho moved, hands out to catch her, and he won. She ragdolled over his arm, and he managed to get her back on her feet. With one arm. Lips parted, eyes scared, his breath caught in his chest as she held onto him, you could see it. Her fingers dug into his cream colored skin, his arms bare in the cut off shirt he wore, a grey one with Nasara faded on the front of it, half of the N and half of the A cut off.
You were frozen, stuck in place, forced to watch it all happen.
Aurora wobbled on her feet, her world spinning all over again when she glanced up at him. Rearing backward, he cringed and wrapped his other arm around her back. Their gazes were locked, Yunho’s afraid, Aurora’s tear stained and unreadable.
It felt like ages they stood here, staring, blinking into nothing, like they were looking at each other for the very first time. Yeosang and Keni paid no mind, the two had cozied in on themselves, keeping the three of you out of mind for the time being. You hated to be the one to break things up, to interrupt, but Aurora had been sick all day, and now that she was full of a multitude of substances, this night wasn’t going to end prettily.
Stepping up behind her, hands hovering over her back, you spoke to Yunho whose face had softened in a way that it used to, in a way you never picked up on before you knew anything about them.
“We have to leave,” you said, hushed. Aurora didn’t move, there was still a few inches of space between them where she was wrapped in his arms.
Yunho gulped. “She can’t walk out of here.”
“Can you… help me?” you asked, feeling sorry that the words even came out of you.
Shooting you a crazed look, he gulped again. “Tori,” he said from behind his teeth, “She is half conscious, in my arms, and you want me to help you get her out of here?”
Fighting away your smile and the excitement that bubbled within you, you sighed and nodded. “Yes, please.”
“And, what if someone sees us?”
“You mean Wooyoung,” you said, and his shock swirled into a glare. A laugh came out of you, and he squinted. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” you nearly whined, letting your hands touch Aurora’s shoulders. “I just…” Intaking a breath, you gave her the smallest, most gentle nudge, and she fell into him, her arms of rubber grabbing onto his shirt, part of his exposed chest.
A gasp ripped through him, but his arm settled around her, Aurora fitting perfectly within his biceps. “Tori,” he sneered, but the nasty look didn’t last long, not when Aurora melted into him, her fingers curling around the grey fabric, a long deep breath taking over her as her eyes fluttered shut.
He hadn’t said one word to her.
He wasn’t allowed to.
She hadn’t spoken to him yet.
He could sense it before you even said anything.
“Aurora, did you say hi?” you questioned in a tone dripping with honey so sweet his face went sour.
“What are you doing?” he whispered all too harshly. You answered with a smirk, there was no time to say anything, Aurora was already looking up at him.
It took him a second to meet her gaze, and when he did, she mumbled, “Hi,” so quietly you couldn’t even hear it. You only knew she said it because of the breath that fell from his lips.
“Hi,” he whispered. A word incredibly precious. A word finally spoken after months.
They went back to staring at each other, it made you wonder if this was what they did with each other. Weird. Yet, fitting.
“Wait,” Aurora said, some power behind her tone. Pressing her hands into his chest, she tried to move him, but Yunho was a brick wall. You moved to their side.
“Ror, we need to leave,” you said to her. “We’re gonna go home.”
“No,” she scoffed, looking at you through hooded eyes. “I wan’ stay, I don’t,” she paused. She swallowed. “I don’t wanna leave.” Her eyes opened a bit more, and you cocked your head to the side knowing exactly what was about to come out of her mouth. She swallowed again. Even Yunho knew what was coming. “I don’ feel good.”
“That’s why we’re leaving,” you said, shifting your eyes over to Yunho who questioned you with a brow. “Help me, please. I can’t carry her out of here.”
He let out a laugh, one full of some sort of pain. “You want me to carry her?”
Gesturing to her with your shoulder, you said, “Ask her if it’s okay.” That crazed look found his face once more, and you yourself almost couldn’t believe what you were doing to them. You couldn’t help it, they were ridiculous, and you didn’t want her in her current relationship any longer than she has been.
Yunho took a breath. “Rory,” he said, nerves in every word. “Can I help Tori take you home?”
Still confused, knowing what she was doing wasn’t right, or that it didn’t feel right, at least not yet, she looked from his shirt, her fingers pressing into his partial bare skin, up to his face, and she hummed some sort of agreeance you could barely hear. Yunho nodded his head, then bent his knees, meeting her on her level. Their eyes met, and he said something to her, and she listened. His hands slid down her back, and gripped her thighs, hoisting her onto his front. Standing up straight, he shifted her effortlessly, letting her wrap her arms around his neck, her cheek pressing to his hair. Her legs hung loosely around his waist, his arms and hands keeping her in place over his chest.
He gave you a look, one that made you flash him an innocent smile. As much pain as this brought him, his lashes and the pink tint in his cheeks thanked you.
She wouldn’t remember this.
Besides it was for her own safety, something her dear boyfriend seemed so worried about this morning.
She wouldn’t remember this, and she didn’t have to.

not gonna use anon cause i ain’t a coward (/lie) but oh my gods man
the mechs fandom pisses me offffff sometimes with specific things that they just declare as canon anyways here’s a list
1. JonnyNas siblings,, yk i love me a good fiction where they are siblings yes, it’s so good i love them, however it’s also weird? they aren’t canonically siblings the only thing that could hint at them being “siblings” is them both being Carmilla’s “children”. it’s just so frustrating to see people like insistent that writing stuff with them is “incest” and “proshipping”
2. Nastya is monogamous and only with Aurora??? idk where they got this idea, but the amount of fictions with the tag “polymechs besides nastya and TS” is ridiculous, Nastya canonically has orgies with Rora. I think the only canon thing about her is that she doesn’t like normal humans, like she Loves machine (og robot fucker)
3. TS doesn’t fuck? yes it does. it canonically does shut up (this comes off rude, but like cmon guys let TS have some fun even if it doesn’t fuck let it at least date)
4. Jonny can’t read. this is a smaller thing for some but it mostly has to do with him being from “New Texas” idk if it comes from the idea of “texans are stupid” or “he describes new texas to be AWFUL” but cmon yalllll make it interesting make it be like he can’t read common or something cause new texas speaks splanguage
5. Lyfrassir is a goody two shoes cop. i have no idea where yall get this idea but listen to black box or literally the entire bifrost incident, lyf spends like. 15 seconds hating on asgard and the higher ups, and also is drunk for the last songs? would a goody two shoes do that?
6. All of Lyfrassir Edda actually, no i won’t elaborate
anyways that’s all
Nodding furiously and taking notes

Could you please do one where reader comes back from a trip and gavi is like attached to her not letting her go
Missing you
I will change this to when Gavi came back from USA :)
You were waiting for him at the airport with his family very excited to see him again after a whole month of being separated. Pablo texted when he will arrive and you were super nervous sitting besides Aurora who was holding your hand.
When you finally saw him exiting the plane, you rushed and he opened his arms grabbing you and twirling you around happily. All the other couples were hugging as well but nothing could compare to the amount of excitement between you and Gavi.
"Young love..so precious!" Ana said to Lewa who smiled nodding his head and tapping Pablo's shoulder as he passed earning a smile from a youngster.
"I missed you so much cariño!!" you said into his ear and he kissed the side of your head before moving and finally capturing your lips which he craved all this time.
"I missed you too princesa!" he said grabbing your hand and walking to greet his family while not letting go of your hand for even a second.
"Go grab a bag and we'll get the car" his dad said and you were about to pull away but Pablo pulled you back not letting go of your hand.
"Y/n will come with me!" he said already walking away while his family chuckled at his clinginess.
"Hey, how are you amiga??" Pedri greeting you with a hug and you smiled nodding your head.
"I'm good! I heard about your knee, I hope it's nothing too serious" you say and Pedri smiled shaking his head.
"I'll be good soon. And thank god we came back cause your boy wouldn't shut about about you..it's always Y/n this and Y/n that" Pedri mocked and you giggled while Pablo blushed.
"Shut up cabrón! Vamos amor!" Pablo said grabbing his suitcase and walking with you towards the car.
His dad opened the back for him to put the suitcase and when you walked to the door Pablo looked at his sister.
"Um..could you sit in the front Rora..please?" he said feeling a little silly but his sister just nodded getting out and letting the two of you sit alone in the back.
"You do know I won't disappear if you let go of me for a moment, cariño?" you said leaning your head on Pablo's shoulder while his dad drove you to their house.
"I can never be too careful amor..and I've missed you so much! One month away is too long" he said playing with your fingers while you nodded agreeing that this was the longest he was ever away...and really far away too.
"How's mamá?" he asked and his dad explained that she was working which is why she couldn't come but was making him a welcome lunch like always.
That same night, after you spent a lovely day with the Gavira family having a nice lunch and resting outside while Pablo told his stories from the touch, it was time for you to go home.
"But.but..amor..why can't you just stay the night??" Pablo was whining since your shared apartment was still being renovated so you couldn't just go home together for the next few days.
"What would your parents say cariño??" you ask not wanting to be a bother to the lovely couple.
"They love you princesa! And Javi stays over all the time so why not you too??" he argued and you chuckled that Pablo just wouldn't let go of you today.
"And where would I sleep Mr. Gavi?" you smirk and he does as well pulling you closer so that your chests were touching.
"Mm with your boyfriend of course!" he smirked and you chuckled pecking his lips but pulling away quickly afterwards.
"Then you better don't get any funny ideas..because you're parent's room is right down the hall!" you say and he raised his hands up in surrender promising to 'behave' whatever that meant.
"So will you stay princesa??" he asked and when you nodded he jumped up and down in happiness before grabbing your hips and pulling you close while kissing your lips passionately.
When you laid down, he cuddled up close to you nuzzling his nose into your neck taking in your familiar scent.
"I heard there are hot girls there in America.." you say playfully obviously knowing that your boy is very loyal and as he always says "total simp" for you.
"Mm I don't care..I couldn't wait to come home to you! I'm never letting you go again princesa!!" his words were muffled and you chuckled holding his closer and kissing the top of his head wile he left wet kisses on your neck.
"Te amo Pablito" you smile
"Te amo muchisimo princesa" he answered before you both fell peacefully asleep <3

healing light twoo 👀👀
Healing Light 2 baby!
(We have a working title that’ll probably become the real title, but it’s kinda spoilery)
For the uninitiated: Healing Light is a spinoff timeline for @watcheraurora’s Even Ice Walls Fall Down universe, written by myself and Aurora. The point of divergence being Tango being raised by his uncle after the death of his parents, instead of being raised by Skizz’s family. Said uncle is the civilian identity of the supervillain Impulse, who trains Tango once Tango’s powers manifest.
HL2 is … shaping up to be much longer than its predecessor xD
Have a snip (from a section I wrote. If Rora wants to add one that she wrote, go for it! <3)
There’s a knock on Tango’s apartment door, and he opens it without checking the peephole. Skizz has the spare key and would just let himself in, and he’s pretty reclusive with the neighbors.
He also knows that his sisters were planning to visit, so he’s got that going for him too.
Gem and Pearl stroll inside the second the door opens, and it doesn’t take his full intellect to know why Pearl’s carrying a bag full of flavored syrup bottles.
“Isn’t it starting to get a bit too cold for snow cones?” he asks as he shuts the door behind them, snapping the lock back into place.
“It’s barely the beginning of September, it’s not that cold!” Pearl refutes, setting the bag down on the counter and starting to unpack the bottles.
“And you’re one to talk about cold, Tangs,” Gem piles on.
“Fiiiiiiine,” he sighs, like making three bowls of shaved ice is a huge burden instead of a five-second process.

HI RORA!!! HOPE YOUR DOING WELL!!
So HEAR ME OUT. It's ab idea based on the lalalala mv. So switch!jisung and switch! afabreader, kinda Stockholm syndrome-ish or maybe just more roleplay vibes where Jisung is tied up letting the reader dom him but after the first time they finish, reader teases him and he breaks out the ropes and goes to town on her and makes sure she doesnt tease him again (but we both know in another megaverse she will😉)
oh baby... I actually wanted to write something about it and this is the perfect chance 🙏 I'll take the roleplay/bondage route if you don't mind! (sorry if this took a while)
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: mentions of cnc as part of a roleplay dynamic
oooh this is 100% a thing that could actually happen. I already wrote about this on one of my random thoughts, Jisung has such a strong duality, to call him “daddy” or “baby boy” is something you decide on the spot!
and let me say, I'm part of the “Jisung likes dirty filthy gross sex” legacy so this is just… perfect. just imagine how pretty he would look all tied up with a red rope!! him wiggling on the bed making it squeak trying to search for some relief as he humps the sheets, moving so much the hard material dents his flesh and leaves patterned signs all over his chest, torso, forearms, wrists. he loves it when you do cute designs on him. he loves when the morning after he can see the result of your nights together ー in this case, the burns of the rope against his soft skin.
he will deny it forever but being tied up with you taking full control of everything is actually one of the things that gets him off the most… it wouldn't take much time for him to cum if only you wouldn't edge him. and do you know what that means? adorable whiny Sungie pleading you to just touch him, little shiny tears forming on the corner of his eyes. he'd kneel on the bed, he'd even plant his face in the mattress wiggling his ass up for you, he'd be a good boy and shut up when you push him with his back flat on the headboard as you straddle him.
adding roleplay is the cherry on top! beautiful girl kidnapping him to use him as a sex toy? he's so down for it. he'd be soooo good with his part, but just because you dedicate yourself to it just as much. give him your sweet pussy and he'll pretend to be disgusted, wrap your magic hands around his painfully hard cock and he'll cry, get him on all fours and he'll moan so loud that the fact that he's trying to fake being non-consensual flies out of the room.
the only thing he doesn't like about all this is when you tease him after he cums. the triumphant tone you use, the presumptuous affirmations you make such as “I would last longer” and “you're cute when you're desperate”, all things along the lines of these. it really touches his nerves, and a bit of his pride too, even if he knows you don't say it with malice. but maybe, sometimes, you just forget that he can make you kneel before him with just a snap of his fingers.
so why not spice things up? why not prepare himself by watching videos that explain how to break free from the usual knots you do on him?
he chuckles when he sees your shocked face, when you suddenly find yourself laying flat where he was before, your hands locked in his hold above your head. his gaze is almost scary… he looks at you like he's ready to devour you.
a sinister grin rests on his lips as he ghosts them near the shell of your ear, inhaling deeply to catch your scent, his free hand traveling from your neck to your chest, your abdomen, your lower belly, brushing your cunt to reach the rope to tie you up this time, easily flipping you so that he can position your hands on your back. and you just… let him do that, too surprised to react or protest, the change in his eyes making you shiver. you're in trouble, mhmh, you didn't think about the consequences of your actions and now you have to deal with them.
“how about you become my little toy now? hm?”
his groin slaps on your ass as he thrusts all the way up into you, so hard it makes you jump forward whenever he fills you to the hilt. he's holding you by the intricate knot he made around your wrists that rest on your lower back, legs kept spread by his so that you're completely exposed to him.
Jisung fucks you so good you can't even say anything back when he degrades you in the most filthy way, when he mocks your moans and your cries, when he repeats your pleads back in a falsetto voice that makes you tear up even more.
“who's a pathetic little whore now? who's the one whining like a baby? huh? I asked something, dammit!” and your asscheek suddenly stings in the most delicious way.
when you still don't say anything and continue drooling instead, that's when you feel yourself being lifted up by his arm sneaking around your chest, your back arching until your face is now near his.
ah, he's not roleplaying anymore.
Jisung's breath fans on your cheek, he leaves a soft kiss on your temple before whispering in your ear, the wet sounds coming from your soaked cunt filling his chest with pride.
“this is who you really are, love, never forget it~” and he moves a hand to squeeze a nipple, then going down and down dancing on your belly button, resting on your clit in the end, “you're so cute…” and he moves his fingers in a circling motion, “your baby boy is doing a good job, right?” he teases, closing his thumb and index tightly where your nerves meet.
you're sure there are knots on you hair by now, he's been holding them all the time. some drool is spread all around your lips and chin from all the times he attacked your lips, you can feel your delicate skin burn… but it feels so good, Sungie knows. your arms start to feel numb, but that's when you're close, when your moans are accompanied by sweet tears, when he fucks into you faster just to pull out abruptdly. the tight sensation on your belly disappears, but some of your release escapes anyway and it feels good but not as good as a whole complete orgasm, like the ones he usually gives you.
you scream in protest, asking him why, pleading him to put it in again, getting you there a second time, but he just laughs, his tip leaking and twitching against his abdomen. Jisung gets you on your back again, kissing your forehead and your lips… you try to reach for his face but the restraints make you whine and he laughs at you.
“but you said you could last longer?” he pouts, brows arching in fake sympathy. “you're sooooo cute when you're desperate, y'know?”
he's retorting everything back and it should make you itch in annoyance, but for some reason your hole is clenching and your whole body trembles.
“let's see how much this little pussy can take, yeah? I'll take care of you, promise,” he starts lifling your legs up, taking them on his shoulders as he lowers down, his face mere centimeters away from your folds, “just let me play with my little toy some more. you said you're better than me, after all. right?”
you can't find the courage in you to reply to that. Jisung just smiles, so sweetly you start feeling dizzy. it's going to be a long, long night.

“ like a cat in a sunny spot ” ♡ iv: teaser ♡

SERIES PLAYLIST: “ swim ” - chase atlantic ♡ “ honey (are u coming?) ” - maneskin ♡ “ the summoning ” - sleep token ♡ “ soft spot ” - keshi ♡ “ fallin’ for you ” - colbie caillat ♡ " kiss me " - ed sheeran ♡
SUMMARY: rora wasn't sure how she ended up in this situation - a spicy, sweet relationship with 8 wonderful men, one of them being a coworker, all of them being friends with each other. one night, it was just her and her cat. one night it was her being coerced by her co-workers to go out with them after work. one night, it was them abandoning her at the door and two very attractive men walking up to her at the bar. one night, it was her going home with them, having the best sex of her life. and next thing she knew, one night turned into two, into a whole weekend, into her meeting and consequently falling for the rest of their friend group.
all she did know, though, was that she was loving it. loving them, how she feels with them. and she wouldn't change a single thing about it.
SERIES WARNINGS: poly, eventual ot8, named oc - “Rora”, derived from “Aurora” (soooooo original, I know), who is basically a self-insert (i'm still on the brink of denial about it). implied queer oc. loooots of nicknames/pet names, and even more as the fic progresses. things move pretty quickly in this, and it may stray vaguely into soulmate au territory but like, I'm a sucker for these men and for the way I've written them and I just can't stop.
apologies in advance if the timeline doesn't make any sense, I'm going purely on vibes and my affection for these 8 men. idk if it deserves a warning, but scents are mentioned a lot in this part and kinda littered through the rest of the fic, too (using scent profiles from a perfume/fragrance site that has a line of scents called “Smells Like a Hug From Ateez” and very limited knowledge of fragrances the members may have previously used/just the vibes they give off).
TEASER WORD COUNT: 670/6.5k
CHAPTER WARNINGS: wooyoung + walking through the city vibes + cats + brief cafe + coffee and rain; this is really random and obvious filler and just meant to explore the characters and their one on one dynamics for a change; there was much debate on whether this should actually be san or not, but changed it to wooyoung cause i feel it matches with him better
♡ 18+ - no smut, but still MDNI ♡
iv: even in the falling rain
“It’s cozy,” he remarked.
She grinned, stepping immediately over to the window by her bed, pulling the blinds to allow her plants to have some sunlight and swinging it open to air the place out a little. “Do you want something to drink?” she asked, stepping back over to the kitchen area, where Wooyoung was lingering, still glancing around her small apartment. He shook his head, and she nodded. “You can sit on the sofa or look around. I’m going to shower really quick.”
He simply nodded, walking over to examine the things she had hung up on the wall beside her bed. Leaving him to it, she stumbled into the bathroom and swung the door shut before commencing what had to be the quickest shower she had ever taken in her life. She barely waited for the water to warm up, and went through only the essentials of her usual shower routine. Toweling herself off a mere ten to fifteen minutes later and searching for some clothes. She settled on her comfiest pair of ripped black jeans and threw a new hoodie back on, mourning the loss of San’s, but it unfortunately needed a wash after her romp with Woo and Yunho and a long night of sleep.
Rora held her towel around her shoulders, hopping from foot to foot to slide socks on as she came out of the bathroom. The sight of Wooyoung still examining the things on her wall, now perched on her bed, brought her to a pause in her frantic movements. He looked good in her space, especially with his hair still messy and his obviously well-worn sweatshirt drooping down in the front to reveal a tempting bit of the tan skin stretched over his collarbones. He blended right into the warm creams and earthy sages and splashes of black of her apartment, looking just as fluffy as her numerous blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals. Just about as lively as the plants lining her window sills.
She wondered how the others would look in her home, and she figured they would all fit the space well in their own ways. Her cheeks warmed, and she shook her head. She literally just met three of these four men - it’s a bit too early in knowing them to be feeling any kind of attachment. Right?
Rora blinked, head tilting as she shifted from one foot to the other, paused in any coming thoughts when she saw her cat at Wooyoung’s feet, his tail swaying from side to side in the way it does before he jumps up onto something. A giggle bubbled up when he did just that, Wooyoung startling with a brief shout. She watched as he grinned down at the now purring kitty kneading at his lap. “Oh, hello,” he murmured, petting the patch of white between his brown ears. His eyes glanced up, and he smiled at her. “Who’s this?” he asked.
“That,” she said, walking over to settle on the bed beside Wooyoung, “is Teddy.”
“Hello, Teddy,” Wooyoung said, leaning down so that the cat, now pawing at his chest, could nuzzle at his chin. “He’s an affectionate little guy, hmm?”
“He’s usually a bit more reserved around new people, but I guess he likes you.” she mused. “Do you have a cat of your own?”
He shook his head but started fishing his phone from his pocket, one hand still stroking down Teddy’s back. “San has one. Byeol,” he said with a proud little look on his face, turning his screen toward her to show a picture of the cat looking up at the camera. “She stays with his family, though.”
“She’s pretty,” she said, absentmindedly reaching out to stroke down Teddy’s face, happiness trilling through her when he nuzzled his cold little nose against her hand, sharp little teeth nibbling at her skin. “Of course not prettier than you, baby,” she cooed, leaving a kiss on his soft head.
She laughed when he meowed at her. “Are you hungry, Teddy baby?”

Swisstomrora. Because twitter. You know. 👀
You know something in my brain said mean Aurora and that's what happened here I can't and won't explain myself
Have 2k words of Aurora being mean and using Phantom to wreck Swiss
MDNI
My requests are open !
Swiss’ first mistake was thinking he had any control over his situation. He thought he had the two new summons fighting and fawning over him. He thought he could drag it out, rile them up a bit before giving them a few lessons about their new vessels.
“This is really all you have to offer?” Aurora had rolled her eyes like he wasn’t buried deep inside her.
What Swiss hadn’t planned for was Phantom and Aurora reading him like an open book and deciding to turn the tables on him. Deciding to lean into his little game, but giving him nothing until he came begging to them. He hadn’t planned for knowing glances and twisted grins shared between the two.
“Come here Tommy, why don’t you show him?” Aurora had said with a huff after Swiss let out a devastated sob.
Swiss’ second mistake happened shortly after. He was made to sit and watch as Phantom fucked her the right way. How could he not make the mistake of touching himself when it was the first time all night he got to hear the pretty little noises that spilled from her lips. How could he not fuck up the one rule he was given when Phantom oh so eagerly did everything she said without a second thought.
And that’s how he got to his current position. On his knees, hands tied tightly behind his back with Aurora and Phantom standing in front of him. The way they were looking at him with a mix of amusement and hunger was enough to make him blow his load. Well it would’ve been if not for the ring Rora slipped onto him after she caught him. Phantom turns and looks at her.
“Can I play with him now Rory?”
“You can do whatever you want with him, not like he was doing anything for me.”
Swiss lets out a desperate whine when she turns on her heel towards the bed.
“Wait princess please fuck please I’ll—“
“You’ll what? Be good for me? What’s wrong, do you not want Phantom?”
Phantom looks at Swiss with narrowed eyes and a fang filled grin waiting for his answer. Swiss is just coherent enough to know it’s a trap. Everything they do together is a trap. He knows no matter what he says he’s going to dig himself a deeper hole. He opens and closes his mouth with every different response that runs through his head before he decides shutting up is his best option. Aurora smiles stalking over to him. She takes his face between her hands and gives him a quick kiss with a teasing tongue.
“Tell you what” she says only pulling away a few inches “if you can prove you can be good I won’t leave you like this all night.”
Swiss nods fast “Whatever you want princess just tell me what to do and I’ll do it.”
She glances at Phantom “Make him cum and maybe you’ll get a second chance. How’s that sound?”
Even he could hear how pathetic he sounded when all he could muster was a low whine in response. Aurora just giggled as she walked away leaving Swiss in Phantom’s claws.
“Aren't you gonna untie me princess?”
“Oh! No!” She flops onto her bed pulling out her phone.
Swiss’ ears droop as Phantom crouches into view.
“Come on, I thought you were supposed to be good at this. Do you really need your hands.” Aurora says exasperated looking up from the screen.
Swiss doesn’t get a chance to respond as Phantom sits on his lap taking him in one go. Swiss chokes on his words letting out a strangled moan. Phantom's head flops forward, mouthing at his shoulder and neck.
“You heard her, make me cum.” Phantom sits heavy on him, muscles jumping with the urge to not rock himself on Swiss’ cock. Aurora wanted Swiss to work for it and that’s exactly what Aurora would get. When he doesn’t immediately make a move Phantom clenches around him. Swiss snaps out of his stupor, tearing his gaze away from Aurora completely ignoring the scene on the floor. He growls low, setting his jaw as he makes an attempt to roll his hips up into Phantom.
He sets his hands on Swiss’ shoulders, claws digging in when he finally sets a pace that has Phantom stifling little whimpers and pants. They could try to break him all they want but he still has the talent. Phantom hates to admit it as he feels Swiss hitting that spot deep inside him with each upward jerk of his hips despite the awkward angle.
He wants to tease. He wants to praise. He wants to do or say anything but all Phantom could focus on was the swell of heat building in his lower back. If he was being honest with himself he was panicking just a bit. He didn’t want to disappoint Rora, not after the weeks of fucking each other to the fantasies of this moment. He tries to focus on the scratch of Swiss’ stubble, the creak of the floor, anything to drag this out. He chokes on air when he feels the tip of Swiss’ tail snake around to brush at his clit. He spares a glance up and oh was that a mistake. That cocky grin has returned to Swiss’ face and it makes Phantom light up with shame.
Too much. It’s too much oh fuck. He lets a ripple of quintessence loose from his body to stave off the mounting pressure.
“How is that fair?” Swiss huffs exhausted from the effort of fucking Phantom on his knees.
“Since when do you play fair?” He laughs and squeezes around him.
“If that’s how you want it then so be it.”
Swiss bucks his hips upward with as much force as he can muster causing Phantom to let out a whorish noise. When his tail slips back to circle his clit Swiss lets his own quintessence flare to life. It’s not much compared to a full fledged quint ghoul, but the added sensation makes Phantom’s head spin. He can feel everything Swiss is feeling. He can feel every thrust echoed back through their connection. He can feel himself clench hard around Swiss like it was his own damn dick. He can feel how wet he is. He can feel how tight he is.
Shit. He's too close. He can’t hold it back anymore. Not when he can feel Swiss’ own magic pushing against his with every swipe of his tail. Oh fuck. Too soon it’s too soon–
“Oh hey Lus!” Aurora's voice makes the two ghouls stop.
They both turn to look at her, phone up to her pointed ear. She makes eye contact with Swiss and smiles.
“What am I doing?” She winks at him “Nothing important. What’s up?”
Phantom bites into Swiss’ shoulder to stop himself when he feels his cock kick inside him.
“Oh I’d love to come over!”
Swiss rapidly shakes his head “Princess. Aurora. Please you said you’d give me another chance please—“
Phantom cuts him off by shoving his tongue down throat, holding him loosely around the neck.
“Hm? Oh sorry it’s nothing. Like I said I’d love to come over but not right now. Maybe in a few?”
She giggles standing up and walking over to where Swiss and Phantom are on the floor. She brings the phone to Swiss’ ear. His eyes go wide at whatever Cumulus says to him on the other end, but the way his hips twitch up against Phantom is enough for her to guess. She pulls the phone back when his eyes roll back in his head.
“Bye Lussy! Love you!” She ends the call and throws the phone into a nearby chair. She runs a hand through Phantom’s hair earning a high-pitched whine.
“You seriously still haven’t been able to make him cum? Are you even trying? Or are you just talk?”
She catches Phantom’s eye for a moment leaning down to give him a kiss. She runs her hands down his body cupping his pretty little tits. She squeezes, rolling his nipples between her fingers. He grinds down hard on Swiss, letting the heat build back up. Swiss throws his head forward latching onto Phantom’s neck, rocking his hips, moving the tip of his tail in time with his thrusts against his clit. Phantom threads one hand through Swiss’ hair pulling hard while the other reaches behind him to hold the back of Aurora’s head. She licks a stripe up his jaw to his ear giving it a little nip. She whispers something to him that he doesn’t process over the feeling of Swiss fucking him still sending ripples of his own quintessence through his body. It doesn’t take much for him to clench hard around Swiss’ dick, mouth dropping open in a silent scream.
He takes a moment to catch his breath, calm his twitching legs before Aurora is helping him up and off Swiss. She leans him back into the nest of blankets and pillows on the floor next to them, cooing soft praises the whole time. Swiss shakes with anticipation when he feels her approach.
Nothing.
She walks right past him back towards her bed not even looking at him.
“Princess” He begs.
She stops and turns towards him with an eyebrow raised.
“What?”
“I did exactly what you said. Don’t I get a second chance please.”
She laughs at him, stalking back over.
“You didn’t do shit. I had to come finish the job for you since you were so incapable.”
He doesn’t even realize he’s crying until she bends and licks the tears off his cheek.
“What’s wrong? Truth too much for you to handle?” She sighs “Fine. But this is your last chance, Swissy.”
She extends her claws and cuts through his bindings in one swipe. His cock kicks against his thighs when he sees her lick blood off her claws before she slips the ring off him. He doesn’t have time to stretch out the stiffness in his arms before Aurora grabs his wrist, sucking on where her claws caught his skin.
“You got one shot, don’t blow it” Phantom calls from where he’s curled up watching the two.
Swiss doesn’t need anymore than that. He can’t take anymore. He’s painfully hard and desperate to prove himself, to finally get her attention. He crashes his lips into hers, crowding her back towards her bed. She doesn’t give any resistance, not that she could even if she wanted to, given how massive Swiss is compared to her. She lets him practically throw her onto the mattress, coming to rest between her legs.
He drags his fangs over her neck, down her chest stopping to suck his own marks over top of the ones left by Phantom. He wastes no time with prep. He needs to hear the same praise that was reserved for Phantom directed at him. He bites and sucks at her nipple as he lines the head of his cock up with her entrance. He grips her hips as he pushes into her with one long thrust.
Aurora breathes heavily through her nose, biting off the moan bubbling in her chest. He drops one of his hands to rub small circles into her clit as he starts a slow pace.
“That’s all you got she huffs “Phantom fucked me better with a strap.”
Swiss whines low, quickly picking up speed filling the room with obscene wet sounds and skin slapping against skin. He grabs her leg, hooking it over his shoulder to bury himself deeper. She gasps with the suddenness of it gripping onto his arm tight. He grins and she sneers.
He presses a kiss to her neck and something burns within her. When she sees a purple hue has taken over Swiss’ eyes she knows exactly what he’s trying to do. She tries to push against him with her own quintessence but she barely has anything. All it does is fuel the amount he’s pulsing into her. She feels like every nerve is dialed up to ten. He’s only been in her for a few minutes and it already feels like too much.
Too much. Payback.
Swiss laughs, suddenly the previous tears and pleas forgotten “You still have to learn the rules of the game Princess.”
She doesn’t respond. She can’t respond. All she can focus on is how sensitive she suddenly is. Still, she has to get the last word.
“Where” she pants “where was this an hour ago…when I could barely feel a thing.”
He grunts and shoves his tongue past her lips. She moans and Swiss loses it. He gets three good thrusts in before he bows in on himself shooting hot and heavy into her letting out a string of curses.
Aurora flashes her fangs “Lus is going to be so mad at you.”
He pulls out of her, immediately replacing his cock with his tongue. Her claws tear through the sheets with the effort of not arching into him. He eagerly swipes his forked tongue through her, cleaning his spend out of her before dragging it up to her clit. Her hands shoot to his hair, pulling hard as he fucks her over the edge with his tongue. She wraps her hands around his horns, pulling him in closer when she feels that rubber band finally snap cumming hard against his face.
When he sits back his face is shiny with a mix of spit and slick. He swipes his tongue over his lips, cleaning himself off.
“I win” he presses a kiss to her thigh.
“As if” she chuffs.
“Sorry Rory but I think he did win this one” Phantom pads over with a blanket wrapped around his shoulders to jump into the bed with them.
“Hey you’re supposed to be on my side.”
“We’ll get him next time…” he mumbles, worming his way in between the two purring.
Swiss smiles running a hand through his hair scratching lightly between his horns. Aurora places a kiss on his forehead.
“Wanna go take a bath princess?” Swiss asks when he hears soft snores come from Phantom.
“In a minute” she reaches over and laces her hands with his, pulling it up to press kisses to his knuckles.
“I love you Swiss.”
“Love you too princess.”
Phantom whines and twitches in his sleep. They both laugh quietly.
“Love you too, bug.”

For your prompt thing, and if you want... could you spare some... SWISSRORA B L E A SE. Anything sweet and playful between them would be... I would cry. Thank you, I owe you my life (if you decide to choose this)
HELLO THIS IS A BIT LATE but life you see
ANYWAY this is mostly inspired by the shenanigans that Swiss got into on stage during the tour.(mainly him being on his knees for her...a lot...) Aurora may be new but she knows how to care for a big boy :')
content: vague references to heat/rut though there is no actual heat or rut, cunnilingus, masturbation, dirty talk, Aurora is In Charge :^}
**lemme know if you see any glaring errors I wrote this on my phone and my keyboard sometimes glitches oop**
-
"Oh baby," Aurora coos softly, her palms cupping Swiss's flushed face, she's standing above him, dragging the pad of her thumb gently across the apple of his cheek, "Are you in heat?"
Swiss makes a noise in his throat, leaning into her touch as his eyes flutter shut, he vocalizes, a low sort of rumble deep in his chest that has Aurora giggling, lifting one hand to drag her fingers gently through his curls.
"Sweet boy," she says, "You're so desperate for it you've forgotten your manners, haven't you?" She asks, her voice sticky sweet, "I know you can do better than that, baby."
He makes another noise this time, a garbled version of her name as his hands come up to grip the backs of her bare thighs and he shuffles closer to her until he's resting his chin against her stomach, staring up at her with wide, pleading eyes. "Aurora, please," he says, words coming out thick like his tongue is too big for his mouth. "Please, let me have a taste."
She laughs then, the sound light and happy as she brushes her thumb across his cheek again and then downwards, running the pad of it over his lower lip.
His tongue follows it, swiping gently across her fingertip as he tries to close his lips around it.
"Ah," she says, somewhat sharply, "None of that, baby, you'll get it when I give it to you, alright?"
His eyes flutter closed at the reprimand and he makes a sad noise, "Sorry 'rora," he mumbles, tipping his head forward so he can press a kiss to her stomach instead. "I'll be good."
"I know you will, baby," She says, gently scratching her nails across his scalp, "You're always so good for me when you remember your place."
He makes another noise, this time somewhat pleased, at the overly generous praise that she's given him—he is not good, most of the time, and they both know that, they both get off on his inability to be patient sometimes, on how he'll just take when he's in certain moods.
Today though, he wants to be good for her.
He presses one more kiss to her stomach, gentle and closed mouth before he leans back on his heels, letting his hands fall from where they'd been holding her thighs to rest palm up on his own folded legs.
"Look at you," Aurora murmurs with a soft smile, "Beautiful," she compliments him, rubbing her thumb over his lower lip again, briefly pressing in and dragging it down a bit so she can see his teeth—sharp, his glamour flickering the more aroused he gets, "You'll have to get rid of those if you want to pit your mouth anywhere near me," she says, the tip of her thumbnail resting gently against his lower canine.
Swiss whines softly when Aurora lets go of his face and he runs his tongue across his lower lip, tasting salt and barely there sulfur from her touch.
"Touch yourself for me first," she says after a few moments, her eyes dark and possessive, "Let me see what you have waiting for me, sweet one."
Hurriedly, he complies, he's only wearing sweats, his chest bare—cock tenting his pants where he's been hard since Aurora had touched him what feels like hours ago now, the two of them watching a movie together, cuddled up on the couch.
He had been paying attention for the most part, until Aurora had slipped her hand beneath the blanket over their laps, her small hand rubbing at him through the sweats.
She'd giggled, leaned into him when she realized he hadn't been wearing underwear, murmuring in his ear about what she wanted from him. (His mouth.)
He wraps his hand around himself, it's a bit dry, but he knows it won't be for long, especially not with the way he's leaking, twisting his fist just under the head, brushing the pad of his thumb over the tip—Aurora's watching him with heavy eyes, like she wants to eat him, her eyes trained on his fist.
He slows down a bit, rocking into his fist like he's fucking it, slow rolls of his hips as he squeezes around his own cock, "Fuck," he breathes out.
"That's it baby," Aurora says, her voice breathless, her own hand hovering just over the wet spot in her panties, fingers teasing through the sticky material. "Imagine that's me, squeeze yourself a bit tighter now, you're so big you barely fit," she coaches him
Swiss moans, eyes falling shut as he follows her directions, squeezing his fist tighter around himself, his palm now wet and sticky, overly warm from the friction—he fucks up into his fist, "'rora," he mumbles, mouth falling open as he pants.
She gasps, biting her lower lip as she quickly strips off her sticky underwear, stepping closer to Swiss—she can clock the moment he smells her arousal, the way his eyes snap open, focusing on her like a predator their prey.
Smiling at him, she moves closer, cupping his jaw carefully to tilt his head back a little as she pushes herself up onto her tiptoes, fitting herself just over his mouth, "Keep touching yourself," she orders, the words trailing off into a groan as his tongue drags wetly over her cunt. "Make me come first and you can come tonight, sweetness."
Swiss groans, the vibrations making Aurora shiver and push herself higher on her toes—her voice in his ear as she begs him for more, her scent so strong and pure where his nose is buried against her making him close his eyes again.
With a careful hand, Aurora parts her folds, toes curling against the carpeted floor as Swiss's tongue nudges against her clit for a moment before, "Not inside baby," she's quick to correct him when she feels his tongue swipe over her hole, and the moan that he lets out—either in disappointment or because of her taste is almost enough to make her rethink her words.
Because he's so good, Swiss focuses his attention back on her clit, mouthing at it and wrapping his lips around it, tongue gentle and just what she needs as the waves inside her build slowly, the pressure in her lower belly warm and pleasant.
"Good boy," She praises him, whining a little when his pleased moan sends a sharp course of arousal through her, "You're doing so well for me, taking such good care of me, baby."
Her hand goes to his hair, holding on tightly as she grinds down against his face, fucking herself against his tongue, "Just like that," she breathes out on a moan, her thighs shaking, "Let me use your mouth baby, just like this."
He's so good to her, keeping his tongue out, letting her grind down against it—she can feel him breathing heavily against her, spurring her own faster, "Just a little bit more, baby," she says, words starting to leave her, "Almost—" she breaks off with a gasp, a sort of low pitched moan as she grips Swiss's hair tight enough to pull, grinding against his tongue until she's feeling wrung out and oversensitive.
And then Swiss's hand is there, on her hip, both holding her up and guiding her into rocking against his mouth as he licks at her, tasting her until her thighs clamp around his head and she's coming again.
He moans, loud and pained as he fucks up into his hand a dozen or so more times before he's coming too, his spend landing on the floor, some landing on her ankle closest to him.
Aurora finally pulls back, still shaking, as she pets through his hair, soothing where she'd pulled at his scalp.
"Good boy," she murmurs, finally dropping down to straddle his lap, uncaring of his sticky with come hand grabbing at her hip, pulling her closer.
His mouth is wet, and he smells so strongly of her that Aurora almost wants to shove his face between her thighs again—but instead she kisses him, slow and deep until he's moaning into it and starting to chin up again.
"Again?" Aurora asks when she pulls away, grinning sharply at him as she cups his face.
Swiss licks his lips, tastes her on them and immediately pushes himself into a standing position, scooping her up as he goes—luckily, the bed isn't too far, he thinks, holding her against his chest as he leaves the common area and takes her to his room, kicking the door shut with a loud thump behind him, her giggles echoing along with it.

Henrik's office; Charleston Palace; late fall 2062
Henrik: Look Ben you're not in any trouble. Ben: It sure doesn't seem like it. Michael: We just want to talk. Henrik: Ben, I know you know that getting spotted by these tabloid photographers is bad for your image. So the question is why does it keep happening.
Ben: It happens because I don't care to check every corner of a club before having some fun alright. Michael: What about your security? Surely they could check. Ben: Yeah I don't take those with me. Henrik: Why on earth would you not?! Ben: It seriously isn't such a big deal why are you so uptight about this?
Henrik: "It isn't such a-?" *sigh * Ben you KNOW it is a big deal. Without security you could end up in danger. And the photos affect your image as a prince. Which is your job should I need to remind you. And like any job that comes with responsibilities. Ben: Well I sure as hell didn't ask to be a prince now did I. Michael: No you didn't, which is why your father and I have offered all you kids a chance to do something else. Henrik: Which you have not taken by the way.
Ben: Yeah and give up this life of luxury for what? A desk job? Yeah no thanks. Henrik: Ben your title isn't just some free pass you can use to get free clothing and an invitation to all the hottest parties. If you want to keep it you WILL have to start treating it as more then that. Ben: But it sort of is that dad. Henrik: Absolutely not! You are the second in the succession! If anything were to happen to me- Ben: Then Rora would take the crown and I'd keep on going as I always have. It's not like she'd pass the chance to have it. Michael: KARL-BENJAMIN EDMUND WILLIAM HAAKON!
Ben: Wow the full name treatment. Alright Watcher, if it's such a big deal for you I'll be more careful. Henrik: *sigh * That's all we ask. Michael: See you at dinner kid. The door closes behind Ben.
Henrik: By the Matron, what will we do with that child of ours? I wonder if this is how mom felt with Helene back in the day. Michael: Based on what Helene's told us I'd say she was worse. Henrik: *chuckles* I suppose. Michael sees Henrik is still worrying. Michael: Hey none of that. Henrik: None of what?
Michael: Pouting. As cute you are this will all be okay, alright? Try to remember we too were 24 once. Henrik: Hmm, if I remember correctly at 24 I was happily married to you and one year away from becoming King. Michael: Ah that you were weren't you. Hmm your rebellious youth phase was rather short. Henrik: Well I did have an international sex scandal with you. So I'm still one up on Ben in that. Michael: Oh dear Gods let's hope they spare us from that.
Henrik: Indeed my dear husband. Now please shut up and kiss me Michael: *laughs* Aye aye my love.

Unlikely Affection Chapter 19: Mutual

My blood ran cold as I looked up at Severus’s face, it was unreadable and that made me more nervous. After a few moments of staring at him in complete silence, Edwin ran around the corner, stopping abruptly when he saw Severus and I standing in the middle of the dark hall.
“Rora! I’m so sor–...Shit.” Edwin was in about as much shock as I was.
“Finley…Dormitory…Now.” Severus spoke after the long uncomfortable silence, his eyes flicking up briefly from mine to look at Edwin.
“But Professor I-”
Severus held up his hand, stopping Edwin mid-sentence. “I. Did. Not. Stutter.”
“Come on Rora. Let’s go to bed.” Edwin went to grab my arm and pull me away but Severus stopped him again.
“I believe I said Finley to the dormitory…Not Astrill.” He looked down at me. “There are some things we need to discuss.” Edwin sighed knowing he wasn't going to win and turned away from us, making his way back down the corridor toward Gryffindor Tower
My stomach twisted into knots and my eyes dropped to my feet. “I really would rather go to bed.” I was fighting back tears, mainly because at the present moment I was horrifically embarrassed and I wanted to be anywhere but here.
Severus stood firm and I could feel the tears burning my eyes, “Aurora.” He spoke softly but there was a familiar firmness in his tone, and it just made me all the more terrified at my current predicament.
“...Severus, Please,” I whispered, doing my best to hide the shakiness of my voice. I needed to get away before the dam broke and the tears started to flow. I'm internally begging him to just let me go to bed and cry alone in my four-poster.
In a fleeting moment, I decided that I did not want to stand there and hear him tell me that I was a delusional child or merely a plaything for him to release tensions with, so I did the only thing I could think to do…I turned around quickly and ran down the corridor. The tears flowed freely now as my feet carried me as fast as they could to Gryffindor Tower and through the portrait hole. I didn’t even stop to speak to Edwin who was pacing in front of the fireplace waiting for me. I continued to run until I made it to my dorm.
I did my best to avoid waking up any of the girls I shared a room with while I changed into my nightgown and crawled into the bed, pulling my curtains closed and my blanket up towards my chin. That is when I began to cry again, my body jolted with sobs and I couldn't help but think about the embarrassment I felt at finally revealing my true feelings out loud only to have the object of those affections hear me confessing my love for him. Mentally I cursed Edwin and his inability to keep his mouth shut and my inability to avoid trivial teenage love.
Eventually, after hours of crying and managing to give myself a tear-induced headache, I fell asleep. It was not a restful sleep in the slightest, I tossed and turned until the morning when I was shaken gently awake by Hermione.
“Aurora? Are you going to class? You’ve already missed breakfast.” She whispered and I groaned in annoyance, flopping out of bed ungracefully and fumbling my uniform on. My head was pounding from all of the crying and I desperately needed a visit with Madam Pomfrey for a pepper-up potion.
When I walked into the hospital wing, Madam Pomfrey looked me over and noticed my puffy eyes and swollen cheeks. She gave me a sympathetic smile and what I can imagine she thought was teenage heartbreak and handed me the vial of potion.
Once I downed the foul-tasting liquid, I felt amazing…physically. Mentally I was doing cartwheels on how I was planning to avoid doing my assistant duties but I knew Severus well enough to assume he would not expect me to show up today after last night. It also helped that I did not have potions, so I was capable of avoiding him and the conversation we needed to have about his work for Voldemort and the fact that I openly admitted to Edwin that I was in love with him.
Edwin on the other hand, I did not manage to avoid and he cornered me in the hall on the way to transfiguration, pulling me into a bone-crushing hug and whimpering about how horrible he had been and how much of an ass he was.
“I love you, I am so sorry that I am such a twat.” I chuckled at him when he pulled away and gave me a slobbery kiss on the cheek. “Please forgive me. You know I can’t stand it when you’re mad at me.”
“I forgive you…Even though you’re an ass.” He grabbed my head in both hands and kissed me hard on the cheek again.
“I know it is probably too soon to ask but I have potions next…Did you talk to him?” I shook my head and inhaled deeply.
“I ran away… “ I admitted.
He shrugged “Well…Maybe he didn’t hear what we were talking about, he is old.” Edwin smirked and I hit him with my notebook.
“He isn’t old.” I giggled as we sat in our seats, preparing for McGonagall’s lesson.
“Do you know how old he actually is?” Edwin whispered
“Thirty-five,” I answered matter-of-factly, flipping through my transfiguration textbook.
“He is only thirty-five…By Godric, apparently, bitterness does make you look old.” I snapped my head at Edwin and he bit his lip to suppress a laugh.
Transfiguration went by without a hitch and I managed to take decent notes on human transfiguration. However, a few minutes before the bell was due to ring to signal the end of class Edwin turned to me and hesitantly tapped me on the hand.
“What do you think about going to potions with me? You have a free period anyway and maybe you two need to talk.” He whispered and I sighed, “You can just say that you wanted a little bit more study time or you can sit in his office and grade for him?” Edwin seemed hopeful when the bell rang and I was still lost in thought about whether I was going to the dungeons or not.
As we made our way out of transfiguration, Edwin stopped and turned toward me…”Dungeons?” He asked hopefully and I shook my head.
“I think I need some time away from him at the present moment. If he asks you about me, tell him I’m fine and I will talk to him at some point…I just need a day or two to get my thoughts together.” Edwin gave me a sympathetic smile and reached down to grab my hand, squeezing it for a second before he let it go and made his way towards the spiral staircase to the dungeons.
I decided to spend my free time in the greenhouses with Professor Sprout, helping her gather sopophorous beans from the plants that she grew in greenhouse two. Unfortunately for me, spending time with Sprout would prove to be a mistake. After we finished gathering the beans she looked over at me and smiled with her warm toothy grin.
“Aurora my dear, would you run this basket of beans to Professor Snape? He has asked me to gather some for him but the stairs to the dungeons are unmanageable…bad back, you know.”
Internally I groaned and wished I would have spent this time in the library. But on the outside, I smiled at her and grabbed the basket of sopophorous beans from her.
“Of course Professor, I will be back shortly.”
As I walked through the mostly empty corridors to the potions classroom, my heart was beating erratically. I began mumbling to myself, trying to remind myself that I would just be dropping off the basket of beans and then leaving…Perfectly simple.
When I finally made it to the large wooden door, I knocked lightly and the door swung open. The students barely paid me a bit of attention as most of them were hunched over their cauldrons brewing a potion. Except for Edwin who took a double take at me as I walked into the classroom, his eyes were wide when they met mine and I mouthed ‘running an errand for Sprout’ before I made my way to Severus, who was sitting at his desk grading.
“Professor Sprout wanted me to drop these off for you,” I spoke tightly and Severus’s eyes shot up, obviously surprised that I was standing in front of him. He cocked an eyebrow at me and gestured toward his storage cupboard.
“You are aware of where they belong in the cupboard Astrill.” He was plain as he spoke and I huffed quietly.
“Of course…Professor.” I clenched my teeth and walked towards the supply cupboard in his office, dropping the basket onto the floor when I closed the door to the small closet.
“Put the beans up and you can go…simple as that,” I mumbled to myself, opening the storage canister that Severus had labeled for the beans and dumping some of them into the jar.
I was just about done emptying the contents of the basket into the canister when I felt the door to the storage closet swing open and then close again. I knew it was him before I turned around and I had to take a second to mentally prepare myself for the conversation that was to follow.
“Aurora,” Severus spoke quietly and I whipped around, shaking my head violently.
“NoI have to get back to Sprout. I do not have time for this Severus.” I hissed trying to step past him but he grabbed my arm loosely, preventing me from walking away.
“Little Star…I don’t have long to speak to you but I need you to listen to me for the duration of time we do have.” I sighed and prepared myself mentally for the worst.
“Fine. I’m listening.” I pulled myself away from him and backed into the corner of the supply closet so I could see him and not be so close to him.
“I have given so much thought into what I was going to say to you, but it seems now that you are in front of me I am at a loss…Please forgive my broken thoughts, but I am speaking from what bits of a heart I have.” He spoke thoughtfully and my heart continued to beat rapidly in my chest. “It is dangerous to love me, The Dark Lord is at large and I have been tasked to resume my duties as a spy…Which I am certain you are aware of my previous position during the first war.” I nodded in agreement, I didn’t know much apart from what I overheard my grandfather saying when he burned the file on Severus and what Edwin told me about the Order of the Phoenix, but I knew enough to agree with him.
“Okay, so the point of this is for you to tell me that you don’t love me…I get it, can I go now?” I was fidgeting now, growing more uncomfortable at our close proximity and my brain betraying me with thoughts that he was just going to reject me.
He rushed forward and took my face in his hands, “I do Aurora…Why in Salazar's name would I put so much at risk for someone who was just a sexual distraction? Why would I attend a ministry gathering if I did not you beautiful dunderhead? My Little Star, you are the light in the darkness that I have created in my own life.” He stroked my cheeks gently with his thumbs and the cold exterior that I had been portraying melted away, I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him…hard.
Getting slightly carried away, he pushed me against the shelves and a few glass jars wobbled, breaking the trance we had developed in our kiss. “I have to go back to the class and make sure they haven’t blown anything up. Come back to me this evening?” I nodded and he turned to leave, but I grabbed his hand before he could make it out of the door. He turned his head toward me, curiosity filling his eyes.
“You don’t have to actually say it you know…All I needed was to know that you felt the same way.” I smiled and he winked at me. I let go of his hand and he left the cupboard. I leaned against the shelves and smiled to myself…He loves me.

Pablo’s mom and dad LOVING her so much like but his dad loves her more?
Familia
I was going to the Netherlands with the Gavira family to support Pablo's final game of the season and hopefully his first national win. I had no doubts that they will win knowing how hard he had worked the entire season and that he always leaves his heart of the pitch whenever he plays.
"When is your flight??" he asked while we were on the face time and I was sitting on the airport smiling at how adorable he looked when he was all snuggly in his bed.
"In five minutes we will board the plane..I'm excited to see you tomorrow bebé" I say when his dad walked up to me with a blanket in his hands putting it over my shoulders.
"Gracias Sr. Gavira" I say and he smiled waving at Pablo who smiled at him always glowing when he saw just how much his family loved me. Pablo always valued his family and the fact they loved me so much made him love me even more.
"I'm excited to see you too amorcito..are they taking good care of you??" he said and Aurora told him to shut up and they they loved me more than him which made his parents laugh.
"No esta posible pero I am glad they are treating you like a princesa that you are" he said and you blushed nodding your head and talking some more before finally boarding the plane.

When we finally arrived and went to pick up the suitcase, Sr. Gavira said he will take care of mine as well which made me smile gratefully. Pablo certainly took his father's manners and always behaved like a true gentleman.
"In my family, ladies don't do anything..and you are apart of this family now" he said and that warmed my hear making me give him a hug and take my suitcase as we got to the hotel.
Pablo was already there waiting for us at the front office and the moment I saw him I rushed to hug him as he raised me off my fit spinning me around.
"Hola princesa!" he said after putting me down and I blushed bright red looking at his lips wanting to kiss them so badly. We weren't much of a PDA couple but after weeks of not kissing, he grabbed my chin and kissed my lips passionately.
"Te amo muchisimo!" he said after a few more pecks and I nodded saying it back before we turned towards his family who looked at us in awe.
"Estan tan perfectos hijo! Can't wait to have a little grandson in the future" Belen said and I blushed bright red just like Pablo in that moment.
"Mama! We're too young for that now! Vale! Let's go to the rooms!" he said changing the topic while we laughed at how embarrassed he got all of the sudden. I always thought it was cute.
Fast forward to the game, you were very excited to watch Pablo play his first ever national final praying that he wins his first title for the national team.
He played really well and a few times I was even worried jumping to the glass to see if he was alright after being tackled. I never liked that players always tried to hurt him!

When they won, I screamed so loud celebrating with Rora, his friends and family until we were escorted tot he pitch after they received the trophy.
I rushed towards him like back at the hotel and he grabbed me raising me up in his arms and kissing me passionately.
"That trophy is huge amor!!" you say and he hugged me from behind kissing my shoulder lovingly.
"You're my only trophy preciosa" he said and I blushed turning around and hugging him tightly. We waited for our turn to take a picture with the trophy and Pablo pulled me close wanting to have one together first.
"Tan preciosos!" Aurora said and that made us both blush when the picture was taken as we looked at each other and he kissed me suddenly making the photographer take a few more.
Then we took pictures all together, as a family, and I felt so happy to have them all become my new family as well. It felt so special to be apart of all of this today.
Pablo then said a few words for a short interview while we waited together behind the camera.
"Who would you dedicate this win to Gavi? It's your first national title" was the question and he looked at all of us standing together smiling wide.
"My family definitely..I couldn't do it without them by my side" he said and his dad grabbed my hand pulling me with him before placing me in Pablo's arms in front of the camera.
"We are all his family but it's the love from this beautiful girl that keeps my son on the right track" he said and you blushed smiling at Pablo who looked down at you while proudly nodding his head.
"It's really beautiful to see your family loving your girlfriend so much" the lady said and you smiled leaning your head on Pablo's shoulder as he kissed the top of your head lovingly.
"She's easy to love..but it really means everything to have my family accept our relationship and consider her as part of our family" he said and soon after the interview was over and we joined back with the rest.

23 - Creating Dr. Tire

The Texas Tire Family

5 years after George Sr.'s death
Shutting the back door with my foot I saw that Georgie and our daughters were playing with the tire swing that we had set up in the backyard. He pushed Eve gently where she squealed. "Hi mommy!"
"Hi baby. Georgie, can we talk for a second?" Waving to her I smiled gesturing for Georgia to follow me so we could talk away from them.
He nodded looking at Aurora standing beside him. "Rora, take over for a second. What's up?" He asked me to walk away from our daughters.
Unfolding the paper in my hands I couldn’t stop grinning ear to ear handing it to him. "That's our first monthly check, Georgie. From Mandy's dad's store that he let us take over."
"Dang…That's more money than I ever thought we'd get." He gasped reading over the large amount of money that he had given us to start up our own business since he was retiring soon. So we basically owned the profit of his tire store now.
Throwing my arms around his neck I squealed where he wrapped his arms around my waist spinning me around I'm small circles. "I can't believe it, Georgie!"
"We're gonna be rich." He chuckles, finally sitting me down on my feet gently putting his hands on my hips. "Girls, go get dressed up. We're going out to eat tonight!"
Mandy's dad had been giving him tips on how to run a business specially for tires since he was better at it than anything. Her dad had turned over the rights to him so we were running the business. Shrugging on a Jean jacket I had on a bright blue dress and my cowgirl boots leaving my hair loose. Waiting in the living room I watched our daughters come down. “There’s my girls. Just waiting on your father.”
“How is this, mom?” Evelyn came down the stairs wearing a green dress with some boots and her hair was up in a ponytail.
Aurora was behind her wearing a flannel over an orange dress and some boots with her hair off to the side braided. “I’m surprised we’re waiting on dad. Half the time it is us who are always not ready.”
“Somebody has to pay for tonight’s dinner, remember. So I put up some of the money and the rest is for this meal.” Georgie finally entered the room where I saw he shrugs on his Jean jacket but he had done his hair so it wasn’t a crazy mess.
We drove a little ways outside of town ending up at Red Lobster. Georgie carried Evelyn in his arms and Aurora was walking beside me when we got to the host stand. “Table for four please.” The waiter led us to a table pulling out Aurora’s chair since Georgie had his hands full.
Aurora picked up her menu pointing to some crabs legs excited. “Could we get some of those, mom?”
“Yes we’ll get an order and some steak too.” I replied with Georgie telling the waiter our orders leaveing us alone to talk.
Evelyn leaned forward on the table asking. “Are…we…rich now?”
Georgie and I just started laughing at her question but from how much money and hours we had put in to support them and ourselves. We had come a long way from two teenagers who got pregnant. “If everything goes right with us owning the store now. Yes we should become very rich.”
“Can you get us a pony?” Aurora asked, bouncing in her chair seeing the food coming out. The waiter sat Steak down in front of me and Georgie then he had split up the lobster into two separate plates for our daughters.
Cutting a piece of my steak and eating it, I shook my head. “Maybe if you’re really good since Santa is watching.”
Evelyn put a bite of lobster meat into her mouth almost talking with her mouth full. “Aunt Missy has goood tastes.”
“You can call her later and tell her exactly that.” Georgie said, putting a piece of meat into his mouth glancing in my direction. “So I thought we could get the keys from Mr. McAllister and check out the store before we open it at the end of the week. What do ya think?”
Snapping one of the crab legs and taking out some meat. I dunked it in some butter, sending him a smile, enjoying that we could actually go out like this for once. “Sure I don’t see a problem with that. But we need to figure out what we are going to name the stores.”
“Uncle Sheldon’s a doctor ain’t he. Why not Dr. Texas?” Aurora suggests sipping from her drink.
Tapping my chin I wasn’t so sure. “We’re trying to sell tires, honey.”
“Star Tires or Cooper’s Amazing Tires” Eve said entering the conversation.
Georgie hit his fist lightly on the table. “I’ve got it. What if we call it Dr. Tire?” Aurora and Eve held their hands up and he gave them each a high five before we finished our meal driving to the store.
Closing my truck door I held open the door for the girls and Georgie let me go in front of him. “Hi there, Mr. McAllister. We thought we’d come out the store you're switching over to us.” Georgie waved at the bald man who was standing behind the counter.
“It’s good to see you again, Coopers. Y/n Mandy says you’re a good friend to her and your kids are a blast to babysit.” Mandy’s father said with a bright smile.
Nodding my head at him I agreed with her. Mandy had come back to the small town and became the local weather girl. She had become a close friend of mine when I couldn’t remember loving Georgie years ago. “We’ll tell her these two love spending time with her.” Ruffing both my daughters' hair they sent him big smiles.
“Yeah I will. Hey, maybe we could have you over for dinner sometime.” Jim suggested reaching into his jacket, pulling out the store keys and handing them to Georgie.
He nodded, taking the keys from his hands. “That’d be great. Mr. McAllister.”
“I bet you two will do just fine in the tire business. Plus I heard around that you’re good at finding almost invisible leeks. That’s rather impressive.” Jim said back towards the older Cooper boy. I smiled, intertwining my freehand with his.
A few weeks later
Sitting at the kitchen table I stirred the liquid in my coffee cup trying to wake up before work this morning. Running a hand through my hair I heard footsteps coming into the kitchen. "Mornin' honey. Hey I talked with Mandy when she came by the new store and she suggested that we should go out tonight. There's apparently this festival tonight a little ways out of town."
"Ohh that's great. Did she know if the girls could come?" Lifting my head up I smiled while drinking some of my coffee.
He sat down across from me. "Yep. They get in free actually so we'd only have to pay for two."
"That's great I'll go tell the kids." Getting up from the table I kissed him lightly before we headed to work for the day. Once we were done and the kids were done with school we drove out there. Getting out of the truck I noticed Mandy instantly where I embraced her in a hug. "Hey Mandy, thanks for the invite."
"Of course. I figured you and Georgie deserve a night off. Especially when the kids can go play and dance without you worrying about them.” The blonde girl smiled, breaking the hug I pulled her in to mirror the same excitement that I had on my face.
Georgie handed Aurora and Evelyn some money. He watched them run off before I heard a song that someone was playing through the speakers. “I love this song. Let’s go, Georgie!” Grabbing his hands in mine I dragged him toward the dance floor with Mandy following after us. Everyone was on the dance floor where he kept our hands together smiling down at me and the music that was playing.
🎵🎵
There we were
In the back of that old Z-71
The road was dirt
A couple kids waitin'on the sun
Cherry red
Baby I still recall the taste
We were a few beers shy of freedom
I had my hands around your waist
You said, "Babe, I'm gettin' cold"
I said, "Climb on in my jacket"
You already know
Like my heart, you can have it
Ooh, I don't remember what the radio was playin'
I was hangin' like the moon on all the words your lips were sayin'
All I know is there was magic in that Chevy
Baby, you were glowin', God was throwin'
Stars like confetti, ah
Stars like confetti, ah
Yeah, rusted truck, dusted-up boots
And high on a perfume buzz
That see-forever sky wasn't near as high as us
Yeah, our hearts were beatin' faster
Than a runaway midnight train
We couldn't say forever
But we said it anyway
Baby, hold me tight and never let me go
Look up at the sky, Heaven's puttin' on a show
I don't remember what the radio was playin'
I was hangin' like the moon on all the words your lips were sayin'
All I know is there was magic in that Chevy
Baby, you were glowin', God was throwin'
Stars like confetti, ah
We made a wish on everyone, ah
We held on 'til it was done, woah
I don't remember what the radio was playin'
I was hangin' like the moon on all the words you're sayin'
All I know is there was magic in that Chevy
Baby, you were glowin', God was throwin'
Stars like confetti, ah
Stars like confetti, ah
I don't remember what the radio was playin'
I was hangin' like the moon on all the words your lips were sayin'
All I know is there was magic in that Chevy
Baby, you were glowin', God was throwin'
Stars like confetti, ah
We made a wish on everyone, ah
Yeah, we held on 'til it was done, woah
Stars like confetti, ah
🎵🎵
Georgie smirked down at me before he spun me out and back into his chest. Mandy was throwing her arms around in the air, not a care in the world. Aurora and Evelyn ran over to us and they started dancing to the song too with us. “Why didn’t we become friends with Mandy before this moment, darlin’?”
“Maybe because she was 29 when we were 17 if you forgot.” I teased him before I attempted to spin him out away from me. Yet his long legs trip over my shoe where I wrapped my arms around his waist so he didn’t hit the dirt.
Georgie grinned up at me gently holding onto my forearms until he got back upright to his feet. He tugged me against his chest, kissing me gently. “Yeah you’re probably right. One thing I don’t have to question is that I love you.”
“I love you more than I ever thought I would anyone.” I declared draping my arms over his shoulders rising up on my toes giving him a long evening kiss. At this point our lives and the tire business seemed like an awesome success.

Yi Ran & His History With The Song Family; feat. Taesun & Rora. In 1729, the last year of his service debt, Yi Ran traveled to Joseon with his second master. At the time, the Song Clan still held power, and Song Seolhwa, the youngest daughter, could see ghosts. She often sneaked away from her strict guard to play with ghost children. Yi Ran, sent away while his master was busy, would go for walks, and they formed a friendship, helped by Seolhwa speaking Mandarin. On the last day before his departure, Seolhwa lost an expensive hairpin, which Yi Ran found. Her guard, unable to find her, mistook Yi Ran for the thief and killed him in a fit of rage. Blaming herself, Seolhwa stole her family's greatest heirloom: the last bottle of water from the Fountain of Life. Unaware she was only supposed to use one cup, she gave Yi Ran the entire bottle. While one cup would revive someone, the full bottle cursed him with immortality, freezing him in time. Seolhwa’s mother, the clan leader, stood up for her daughter's mistake and took Yi Ran in. They couldn’t restore his mortality but offered him false freedom, education, and a place where they would never forget. [ read more cause length ]
Yi Ran remained with the Song family, learning how to read, write, and more skills thanks to their growing library, leading to a vast knowledge. Every few decades, he moved between the different branches of the clan to avoid questions about his lack of age. He witnessed how, over the next generations, the clan slowly vanished and only the youngest branch remained.
Yi Ran was a good friend of Song Dahye, the last female ever born into the bloodline. He saw her grow up, and by the time her mother arranged a marriage to return their clan to glory, he helped her run away with the man who held her heart. She returned decades later, pregnant. When a shaman foretold that the child would be a boy, her mother begged her to get rid of him. Yi Ran, who knew of the family's belief that a boy would mean the end of the bloodline, helped her escape once more, this time knowing her child was in danger. Yi Ran remained in contact with Dahye for the following decades, until the early '90s when their connection broke off for good.
TAESUN was born on May 15th, 1925, and was told about Yi Ran and the story by his mother, Dahye. They met for the first time in the 1950s when Yi Ran left Korea for safety concerns before returning years later. Over the decades, the two developed a close bond, with Taesun now truly representing the end of the long time Yi Ran spent with the Song family. Unlike the rest of them, the younger man wants to try and fix what his ancestors did wrong, knowing he might not be able to. While both of them travel, they stay in touch. Whenever they meet, Taesun likes to drag Yi Ran out to locations he wouldn't go to otherwise & he's one of the few people he actually shows his humor with.
When the 200th anniversary of his death drew near, Yi Ran stumbled upon RORA, who was willing to reveal her true identity as Paritegi. She was the one who told Yi Ran that there was one way to revert what happened, but it would require consuming the same amount of water he once did, leading to his instant death. However, she made it very clear that obtaining a bottle was almost impossible, as her husband had likely shut off all permissions after their youngest child fled with the holy water not meant to ever leave the realm so carelessly.
