Kiarria
“Lord Inquisitor. I hereby declare you a traitor to mankind.” Darius states as he raises Outcast.
“STOP NOW!” Kiarria yells as she raises her bolter at Darius.
The two terminators with Darius spin up their autocannons and aim at Kiarria, Gray and Anxo both turning to her, readying their weapons.
“Sister. Stand down.” Darius orders. “I do not take orders from you!” “This parasite has exterminatus’d fifteen worlds for doing nothing other than not giving him...” Darius growls instead of finishing the sentence. “No! He condemned those planets due to chaotic taint!” “Were you there when he was?” “Of course!” “Were you by his side, at all times?” “Of course not! I am not privy to such secrets.” “Fucks’ sake she’s dense.” -Anxo “Shut it bird brain.” Darius says out the corner of his mouth. “Sister. I am giving you a choice, stand down.”
The marching of terminator armor alerts the room, the Inquisitor’s bodyguard of Grey Knights arriving.
“Chapter Master Darius. Stand down.” The Justicar orders. “Fat chance. Any way you will?” “No.” “Oh well, I tried. Anxo?” “Yes sir.” Anxo says with a fanged smile as his eyes turn into blood red pools, he roars as he rushes the Grey Knights. Anxo, with Carmine’s help, tear through the Grey Knights with ease.
“Sister, you have seen one of my Inner Circle take out a contingency of Grey Knights as easily as you can snap. Stand down, and you won’t be hurt.”
Kiarria lowers her bolter. “The Inquisitor...he destroyed those worlds out of-” “Petulance. Like a child throwing a tantrum.” “By the God-Emperor.”
Darius heaves a full body sigh. “Fuckin’ hell.” He mutters as Outcast fires and the Lord Inquisitor falls to the ground, headless.
“Your name sister?” “I am Sister Kiarria, Order of Our Martyr’d Lady.” “Not familiar. You will have sanctuary on my ship.” “Why would I need it?” “Because your charge was killed infront of you.”

“if i’m not flickering the lights and you’re not flickering the lights, then who else is in the room with us?” or person a and person b get stuck in an actual haunted house together for Evfra/Cerise :D STICK THE GRUMPY BLUE MAN IN A HAUNTED HOUSE
I’m assuming angara hadlegends of ghosts like humans. It’ll getsomewhat explained in the drabble, but essentially, it’s this. The angara soul is reincarnated unlesssomething disrupts their death. Then thesoul is left without a purpose and wanders aimlessly. So basically, similar to humans. This is also going to be set pre-relationship. I also challenged myself to fit as many moviereferences in here as possible. See ifyou guys can spot them all.
Thatprickly sensation at the back of her neck intensified as Cerise crept furtherin the old abandoned building. She keptan ongoing monologue in her head about why she’d been called in to deal withsuch a pain in the ass situation. TheResistance seemed to think that there was something in the building that couldhelp in their research with the Scourge. Three squads had been sent in and all three had come back out, solidlyrefusing to go back in. Each had comeout swearing that things were moving on their own, doors that were open wouldclose and lock on their own, and one soldier had been carried away by someunseen force. They’d found him half anhour later, curled into a ball and crying about white eyes.
Thesound of a chair scraping against the floor was like nails on a chalkboard andshe jumped. Cerise whirled and held upher pistol, ignoring the slight waver in the pistol’s light beam. There was nothing behind her and that had thehairs on the back of her neck lifting in alarm. “Fuck me. What did I step intothis time?” Cerise grumbled as she kepther back to the wall and every sense on alert. She caught a flicker of light out of the corner of her eyes and sheraised her pistol and fired a shot. “Goddamn it! You fuckingidiot…” Cerise groaned as she saw theshattered remains of the mirror. Mortification swept through her as she buried her face in her hand, thatwas so utterly cliché. “What’snext? A guy in a hockey mask wielding amachete?” Cerise chuckled to herself todispel some of the nerves dancing in her stomach. She looked up as the door slid open, the tallsilhouette there gave her pause.
“Balls.”
“Whatis going on Ryder? Why are was there ashot?” Evfra’s voice came over heromni-tool as the shadowy figure stalked towards her. An aura of menace swallowed Cerise, runningover her skin with oily fingers. Herbody tensed as adrenaline swept through her blood. Her pistol raised and the shot was firedbefore she could think about it again. The figure dissipated and Cerise cursed out loud. “Ryder!” Evfra yelled before the line went dead.
Cerisebolted out the door and headed towards the end of the hallway. She slammed into a sold wall of warmth. Strong arms reached out to steady her beforeshe fell onto her butt. Her heartthundered in her ears and it took a moment before she registered it was Evfraand not a figment of her imagination. Shestared up at him with a mixture of fear and fury, at herself, in her eyes.
“Ryder, why are you running away? We need tofind this artifact.” Evfra gently turnedCerise and she cringed. She grumbled inher breath about stubborn angara before she allowed him to steer her down thehallway. “If I didn’t know any betterI’d say you were scared.” The amusementthreaded his tone and her eyes narrowed at him.
“Yeah, yeah. Save it big guy. I’m still here aren’t I?” Cerise grumbled as her eyes darted around atthe shadows. Something was here, butCerise didn’t know if it was organic or not. Not that she believed in ghosts mind you, ghosts were not real. She just had no idea what the hell could bein Andromeda that could make shadowy silhouettes. Now she sounded crazy. Damn it.
Theyrounded the corner and the shadowy figure leapt out from the dark. Her shriek rang throughout the hallway as sheraised the pistol towards it. A muffledcurse from Evfra as he also drew his weapon before the creature disappeared ina puff of black mist. Cerise felt her bodyshaking and felt, rather than heard, the rumble behind her.
“Ifthis is your idea of a practical joke Ryder, it is in poor taste.” Evfra gave her a disgusted look, his haughtytone had her hackles rising.
“My idea!? This is all your doing! That damn thing didn’tshow up until we got separated! So, don’tyou dare blame this one on me!” Cerisesnarled at him. The specter appearedbehind Evfra and Cerise took a step backwards. “Where is salt when you need it?” Cerise grumbled which had Evfra raising a questioning eyebrow ather. “Old Earth TV show.” Cerise explained before the specter putitself between them.
“Itappears to be protecting me?” Evfra’s brows drew together as he tried topiece together the situation.
“Wait… It’s real!?” Cerise’s voice rose to a high pitch at thelast word. Evfra had never seen hertruly scared. She normally got angrywhen something scared her, she never acted like this.
“Ifdeath is disrupted by a violent act or the body is removed from the locationwithout proper burial rites, the spirit can remain. Do you not have similar things in the MilkyWay?” Evfra looked at her and silver metblue.
“Wedo but we’ve mostly explained it away with science.” Cerise grumbled as she saw the mist form intoa shape resembling an angara. Themercenary took a step backwards as the ghost floated towards her, its featurestwisted into a snarl. “Who you gonnacall?” She muttered before she turnedand bolted.
“Ryder!” “You are on your own Tershaav! Mycontract doesn’t include the supernatural!” Cerise made it out of the hallway and slammed into something hard andmetal that came up to her waist. Spotsexploded behind her eyelids as her breath was knocked out of her. The crash and curse reached Evfra in thecorridor and he ran into the room, worry glistening in his eyes.
“Ryder?” He saw Cerise leaning against the storagecube. It was what they’d come for! “You found it.”
“Itfound me.” Cerise rubbed her waist, knowing a bruise was already forming there, and groaned. Her eyes flicked up to see the mist swirlingaround Evfra’s shoulders. “Bye.” She slipped past him as he called out to heragain. “No way! Kett I can handle! Adhi I can handle! Eilochs I can fucking handle. Don’t ask me to handle a ghost! I don’t have anyfucking salt!” Cerise’s voice cracked asthe mist headed towards her.
“Thatis enough. Stop scaring the human. She works for me.” Evfra told the ghost. Cerise opened her mouth to suggest that yellingat the ghost may not be a good idea but he glared at her. She shrugged and kept her mouth shut. The ghost turned around and distorted into agrotesque, menacing shape. It roared atEvfra and Cerise bolted again. She madeit to the front door this time. Right asshe made it to the door, she slipped on something slick and gooey. Her legs went out from under her and she wentsliding across the floor and out the door.
“Justlike a freaking cartoon. Seriously?” Cerise laughed hysterically as she breathedin the damp Havarl air. Evfra made itout the door just behind her, the glass ball in his hand. “Thatwas what we were after?” He held it upto her and she touched it. A bloom ofscarlet exploded in it and she laughed as a memory tugged at her mind.
“Whatis so funny?”
“Itlooks like something from an old Earth vid that was based on a book. A Remberall. If you touched it and it turned red, then you forgot something.” Cerise paused as she tried to remember whatshe forgot. Suddenly it popped into herhead. “Oh shit! Anxo!” Cerise jumped to her feet and turned to the door. The salarian strolled out, annoyance ridinghis shoulders.
“Ryder. I know you appreciate a well-played prank, but honestly? Those attempts at scaringme were pathetic. Those old Earth vidswere scarier than some of those attempts you made.” Anxo grumbled as he walkedpast them to the shuttle.
“Willyou tell him?” Evfra leaned over andasked. Cerise shook her head.
“Noone would ever believe us.” He noddedand they both went to the shuttle behind the salarian.

“[Anxo is intergrating just fine. Gray and him became fast friends. Anxo himself agreed to simply step down from Head Chaplain to Senior Chaplain.]”
“<Do not lecture me about masks, xeno.I kn>”
“<Both of you, shut up. This is a stupid conversation.>” Eklius states in his mechanical tone.
“Yvraine was lecturing Darius on his smoking.” The unspoken message is clear to both Darius and Yvraine.
“So...what’s with the Ynnari?”
“What do you mean Darius?” Roboute asks, sitting on a bench in the garden. Pupils blown wide open because a bee landed on his nose.
