To me, the scene in ASiB where John and Irene are talking about John and Sherlock's relationship basically makes Johnlock canon. "If anyone still cares, I'm not actually gay." "Well I am. And look at us both." To me, that's Irene saying "Look at us both. In love with someone, despite our sexualities. In love with a man. In love with Sherlock." And John doesn't deny it. I can't be convinced that that isn't the case.
