☆ i neE D TO KNOW WHERE THE Y STAND. tfw ur girl is stolen from u by the sAME DUDE WHO KILLED U
holy shit, here’s the big one.
-9/10
hoooo boy. i’m going to start this one off by saying that naoise’s opinion of everyone was automatically “suspicion and apprehension” at the start, and for wire, that was no different. this wasn’t mitigated by his personality, or at least what they saw of it when they first boarded the stella maris. naoise also believed that because he was hiding his face he was hiding darker secrets, and... well, they were off as far as that was concerned, but their overall opinion at the start was still negative. his position was as someone to stay away from, because nao had the impression that he was someone vaguely ominous and threatening.
and then, as time went on, naoise started... thinking less of wire. he did nothing obviously antagonistic and he didn’t immediately antagonize naoise, so he was just another person in their book. come the chapter 1 trial, they didn’t hold a particularly high opinion of him, but it wasn’t as low as some of the other people who acted out in trial 1 (ryo, janet to some extent). he was simply that person who lurked in the background and who they didn’t pay very much heed to.
and then the secrets motive came out, and naoise was... uhh. rather upset over it, to say the least. after one (1) consumption of their motive card and one (1) rope dart being acquired from the machine, they left their room and aimed to kill someone else. as it turned out, that individual happened to be wire. well, naoise decided to go right ahead and select him as a target, and then one (1) whole fight scene broke out between the two of them. naoise believed that a plastic crook was an acceptable implement of defense, when it really wasn’t, and then wire had a taser and tased nao.
and then they died not too long after. when they arrived in deadblog, naoise had no idea what was going on or anything following the secrets motive, really. but they sat through the trial and then they proceeded to not suspect wire, and then suspect wire because [naoise voice] Obviously najwa couldn’t have done it, why would she kill me?
well, at this point, naoise’s opinion of wire very rapidly deteriorated. he threw someone naoise had a vaguely positive opinion of under the bus in their view, and didn’t even bother to say anything, to try saving her. so that put him on their shitlist again. in their view, even if he hadn’t been the culprit, he hadn’t tried saving najwa at all, and this... actually changed their perspective of the others slightly. they saw the living students as trying, more or less, and their anger mostly focused on wire at that point so it was mitigated slightly.
so najwa died instead, and naoise felt genuine pity for her. they also got their memories back at this point, and remembered what happened that night, and pushed aside their own flaws to focus on the fact that wIRE KILLED THEM HOW DARE!! and he didn’t say anything to save najwa, and the living kids mistrialed all because wire didn’t say anything. yes, their logic wasn’t the soundest, but they hadn’t been killed before in their life or put on a ship where they were forced to kill other people, so it was a New Experience.
and then wire was the very next victim, and naoise was.. fairly shocked. they were sure that wire would get away with it (because wasn’t that what they criminals did?) so that also softened them towards the ideas of the living students conducting justice more, and as for wire, their anger mostly flatlined at that point. he was dead, they had gotten their revenge, but they were still hollow. so this was remedied by them becoming inordinately angry as a response, though this was mostly frustration and their own attempts at making them feel something towards wire because again, How Dare He.
come the actual trial, naoise was acting pretty passive-aggressively at the time if i remember correctly, and they were.... less than pleased with wire, as well. at the same time, i think this is the point where they started developing feelings for najwa, so? they found yet another reason to put wire on their shitlist. essentially, their behavior was born out of pettiness, and a major factor was that naoise wanted to prove that they were better than wire at something, because wire was both successful at killing them, getting away with it, and then involving himself with najwa, so... they’re a very petty person and tend to direct the blame on other people. wire just happened to receive the brunt of it, and in some ways this softened them towards the others? but yeah, wire got the brunt of it.
and then came the kitchen thread, which involved najwa trying to cook with the two of them, and it was... well, naoise was still a salty sheep at that point, and they were filled with jealousy towards wire. so it became worse and worse, and they became saltier and saltier, and then... please stop them before they set the kitchen on fire honestly. either way, following that and the confirmation of wire and najwa being a Thing, they just. decided to lay off. reduced sodium naoise. this was partially out of a sense of obligation to najwa, but they came to the realization that their jealousy was causing nothing but issues, and that they wanted nothing more than a fresh start. the third part was that they actually started feeling some level of begrudging admiration for wire, he was successful and they were not, but they were still jealous. it simply turned into a less active form of jealousy.
with all this said, naoise still does despise wire, he’s probably the single person on the ship, aside from ryo, that they hate the most. however it eventually turned into something beyond their control, and that they felt like it was not worth their energy to continue pursuing. essentially, naoise learned that they couldn’t win everything, and that it wouldn’t be worth it to continue pursuing revenge against wire, so they just... decided to leave him be for the most part, and decided to continue their life without trying to antagonize him.
wire is so good though, i’m so sorry about him being stuck with the salty sheep.
final verdict: former mortal enemy, currently too apathetic to pursue further

No... No you didn’t...
Koharu... Didn’t have much of an opinion on Wire other than YuudokuWIRE wasn’t his real name. (YuudokuFAIYA!) and that he was basically trash for letting Najwa die in his place without putting up a fight to have anyone else executed.
There’s nothing worse in her opinion, than self-sacrifice. No wait. That’s betrayal. She dislikes both of them, but she considers Wire to have betrayed Najwa by letting her die when he knew very well what the consequences would be. If he had lived longer, Koharu would have eagerly framed him. Why let him live? Too bad Julia wouldn’t let her kill him... Sometimes she just doesn’t understand that girl.

WIRE continues his streak of voting for himself and being genuinely useless in trials. Thanks WIRE.
