OH BOY HERE WE GO... from the beginning, Ailani had a good vibe from Yuka, something that rarely happens. She just sensed Yuka was capable and was levelheaded, something that she really admires in others. Of course, while her gut instinct told her this, her head informed her of something else. Namely, alarm bells were blaring because the last time she trusted someone almost immediately they ended up “stealing her fame” and dying. But being with Yuka was fun, and it almost took away from the trauma of the situation. Almost. She was also glad someone else shared her taste for noodles. 

Also Ailani is a big gay and fell in love with Yuka pretty dang quickly. Love to Ailani is a funny thing - she has only crushed on one other person like this in her life (guess who), but when she falls, she falls hard. This was the other half of the equation, when she crushes on someone she tends to let down her guard. This was the same with Holly and why she liked her so much, Ailani had a small crush on her too. That’s not here nor there, but now Ailani’s heart told her to trust Yuka, and seeing her in trial and how competent she was really boosted her opinion. 

Spending time with Yuka only increased her like of the other, when the two were flirting, doing makeup, having fun... in general it really did put Ailani at ease which was quite a feat considering how tightly wound she normally is during the mutual killing. Still, she was caught between trusting and not trusting, which sent her into a bit of a crisis. 

Eventually she decided to confide in Yuka, who managed to get quite a lot of her Deal over the course of the first few meetings. She thought that since Yuka already knew, it was no trouble to at least have some faith in her. Then, because she viewed Yuka as the most dependable person there, this kicked off the big fiasco resulting in Yuka’s death. 

Ailani never intended to kill Yuka, nor did that possibility even come to her. In fact, she really didn’t even think at all - she just saw Yuka dead and blanked. No thoughts of who the murderer was, just that yet another person was stolen from her. Ailani is very selfish and tends to think in terms of something’s relation to her, so Yuka’s death reminded her of the last time her actions resulted in someone kicking it. Then during the trial she finally realized (a lot earlier than she said) that she was the one responsible, and this caused her to have a crisis.

There she was again, ruining things. But no, it was the world out to get her! That was her mentality. Still, the emotions were genuine. She cared about Yuka a whole lot and had a big crush on her, so she was distraught over that. Her speech at the end was spun to garner sympathy, but for Yuka, she felt compassion. 

So they saw each other again after the trial (which I don’t think we ever finished), and Ailani’s guilt was alleviated only somewhat. She’ll probably never forgive herself for accidentally killing the person she trusted most, but she fully intends to pursue Yuka after the game if at all possible and wants to live a life of crime.

Ah yes my tradition of never rping with anyone... evil cackle....First impression was a big (I typod that as bug at first) nnnOOOPPEEE. But after the genta trial when things chilled out a bit from Tora’s side she was kinda less weirded out. A little. I think her relationship page descrip is literally “spicy weirdo”.Tomo didn’t get to live in the same plane as Yuka for too long, but from watching trial beyond the grave, she got kinda miffed that she didn’t put in the same passion for the Parel kids’ dilemmas as for her own class. Mostly, Tomo saw Yuka as this like, high figure of lore from the other side of the game. The nighwatch girl. May have made a few jokes at Yuk’s expense in dead blog once or twice. OOps. Mad that she gets tall. Rating: 🍹 🍹Trust: 👑 👑 👑Affection: 🃏Overall...“Now that’s a gal for the ages! Maybe a stick in the mud at times, but a real character.”

JESUS ARIN THAT WAS QUICK

ANYWAYS UHHH honestly lemme start these out with this: at first, ai was...a shut in. and interacted very little, or at least not very indepth with other people IRL, so her views on other people began very “judging the book by their cover” sorta deal. and that slowly changed depending on person. also itll b hard because ya dumbass mun here didnt archive per chapter relations so shell probs have to backtrack by memory or by actual blog to see what ai would think of them throughout the game so. here we go

realtalk ill prolly edit small bits of this in the morning but like. for now: full disclosure

Honestly, at first look (and perhaps first sniff) Ai saw a pink shut-in, but not to the likes of herself, mind you. Yuka was more openly and constant self-loathing of people while Ai thought of herself as self-loathing but in the “lol who cares” sense. ...and yuka tried to get her to tuch tha bug too so that added to her initial distaste for yuka

Eventually, as the game went on though, Ai’s distaste began to lessen as saw that she started to put her foot in the ground more on surviving this killing game and...maybe it was also her reveal of being part of the fucking YAKUZA that got her thinking “well damn, there’s more to bug girl than I first thought”, and so Ai silently and internally began to dub her something along the lines of “Miss Detective”. ...in retrospect, bug detective wouldve been better wouldnt it

also she genuinely thought yuka borrowing her pens for the bug book was cute in the dorky sense

Yes, she felt Yuka’s scream of anguish when Genta died. Yes, she did get a tad salty as Yuka laughed over Kanon being edgy (despite agreeing)...and yeah. She still regrets jinxing her death.

RIP Bug Girl

FINAL THOUGHTS: Yuka wasn’t as bad as Ai first thought, but even after deadblog happenings, she still feels a little bad for jinxing it. For now, Yuka’s a pretty cool bug girl in her book. you go yakuza girl

Yuka can not be separated from her family in Kazuko’s mind. She can not forget it and that doesn’t settle the best with the duplicate. Kazuko might pretend to be cool with them because Kanon is but she’s still quite uncomfortable with them. As a result, this played a role in her final impression of the other girl.

She respects Yuka, thinks she cool, yet unapproachable, veiled in something Kazuko can’t cross. She wishes she could, and the double does see potential in the other girl, but at the end of the day, Yuka lives in another world. Still, she is admirable, wicked smart, and not someone Kazuko want to be on the bad side of.

Final Opinion: The yakuza princess is beyond me
