Hi Mark! Just wanted to say that the world building and art direction for Duskmourn is an absolute slam dunk. I love the whole concept of the House and Valgavoth, how the plane works, and the world building of it all. I've read the planeswalkers guide and shared it to several friends who were just as excited for it. Special shout outs to those involved in creating Shroudstomper. I love the Fresno nightcrawler and other cryptids making it into magic.

I got Valgavoth P1P1 and decided to see if I could pull off a reanimator deck. And the answer was yes!

Ended up going 3-0, although I did drop one game each match. Reanimated Valgavoth three times in the first two rounds, then in the third round I hardcast him once and Shroudstomper twice. The one reanimator target I never hit was Vile Mutilator.

The deck had plenty of reanimation spells and targets, but it did feel a bit light on discard outlets - really just the two Goats and Fanatic, and potentially Miasma Demon but that requires getting to big plays already. And of course Spectral Snatcher can bin itself and Innocuous Rat can help with filling the graveyard.

I had a second Spectral Snatcher I considered playing, but the deck proved very tight on spots. Maybe running it with 16 lands would have been preferable - I do that sort of thing a lot, but was skeptical of the approach here. I also remember seeing a second Fanatic during the draft but passing it, which in retrospect was a mistake. I'd found it underwhelming in other archetypes, but it really shined here.
