A little update on miss Harley Quynh: Sonogram shows shoulder looks fairly good. Bicep isn’t growing at same rate as the rest of her muscles hence you may notice her right arm is bent and she has difficulties doing adduction movements to her centerline. If it gets any worse we may be looking at surgery involving soft tissue release at the elbow joint. She will now alternate between the external rotation splint and elbow splint at nap and night time with the latter helping to straighten out her arm. Increasing the frequency of stretching at home. All in all not the best of news but not the worst of news. While we are still in the thick of this, we’ve been on this journey long enough to manage our expectation and look at results from varying lenses, each from a perspective that will help us how best to love and help Harley. But nothing changes how much she lights up our world.
