"Good morning, buddy! You look exhausted still. Still need an hour or two? It is kind of on the early side. It's five am. You can go back to sleep if you want and I'll wake you up by either seven or eight.

Hope you're looking forward to today. I've got plans. I'm going to go take you shopping for clothes and anything you might need while you stay. I need to pick up a few extra things of groceries as well.

Maybe we can hit up the local diner for breakfast first."

Day one. The first day of being free from Eden's labs. It comes as s shock to the dragon hybrid when he awakes in a place not too familiar to him in the morning, wondering if he had been kidnapped from the labs. Lucas is sat up quickly, eyes panicky while looking around the room to get his brain to remember where he was, or what happened the previous day.

Once he saw Rayman, Lucas remembers he was in safe hands, no longer an animal being kept in a cage, but a person being treated like one. His hair all over the place, a relieved, tired smile on his face.

How long had he been out for? Hadn't he fallen asleep around something like three in the afternoon? What even happened? His head felt like it had been whacked? Who knew what was happening. Lucas didn't know, he doubted anyone did. One thing for sure; the hybrid looked like tired.

Rayman being the host of a show in a dystopian world with other character from Ubisoft wasn't I my expectation. I'm glad it exist, though !

Haven't see the show yet, I'm going to take my time and see it tonight. I just hope it's going to be great ! (And crossing my fingers about our limbless hero's role in it. Good guy ? Bad guy ? Both ? I don't know ! I'll see !

In case you were wondering how that Netflix show Captain Laserhawk is currently doing - you know, the show where Rayman shoots some guns and says fuck that blew up the Internet last year - Ubisoft has just announced a partnership with a web3 blockchain wallet marketplace company in honor of their upcoming web3 video game and is using the opportunity to host an art contest on the Eden Online Discord server, asking young, impressionable artists to draw this NFT marketplace's mascot for a chance to win a T-shirt.

Oh, and AI art is allowed in this art contest. Because of course it is.

I don't think a show has died harder and faster than this show has. This is a bag fumbling so legendary that it needs to go in the history books.

This should go without saying, but please don't participate in this art contest. The prize is a T-shirt but a T-shirt isn't worth sacrificing your dignity by drawing a web3 mascot. Just go on Etsy and get a Rayman shirt there.

< Man … today of all days I had to leave my umbrella home … > 

You sighed , looking up at the raindrops falling from the sky while huddling in your jacket’s hoodie to find some warmth in the cold .

It had been a fairly average day , and you were ready to finally return home without anything unusual happening …

… until your eyes wandered off in a nearby alleyway .

< What the … ? > 

Maybe it was just the fact that you were a bit tired after work , or maybe it was just your imagination … but you were pretty sure that you spotted the silhouette of someone laying down on the ground , hidden in the darkness .

You looked around , unsure of what to do … 

The people passing by didn’t seem to be caring much about it , clearly all too involved in their own business , so eventually your curiosity got the best of you and you ended up walking in the alleyway , knowing full well that it wasn’t the most safe thing to do … 

But then again , you had a history of wanting to be there for someone when they where in trouble , no matter who they were .

It only took a few steps in to realize that there was indeed someone there …

And your expression immediately turned into worry when you realized in what poor conditions he was : 

he was shaking , his coat unable to give him enough shelter from the rain , and by the looks of it he was at least trying to get some sleep despite the less than welcoming surroundings . 

… wait , on second thought didn’t that face seem familiar ? 

Yeah , that was Rayman , the guy who hosted the majority of Eden’s shows !

He surely looked a lot … different than usual … and why would he be in such a place right now ? 

You kneeled before him , wondering if anyone would’ve come looking for him … he was well known by the whole city after all , it would’ve made sense . 

But at the same time you couldn’t leave him there like that …

< *sigh* … okay , carefully now … > 

After wrapping him with your jacket , you slowly picked him up from the ground , hearing him groan slightly as you walked away , following a not very crowded road to your house . 

It was definitely not quite an average day anymore at least . 

*some time later* 

< Hnn … wh … what … where … ? > 

As Ramon opened his eyes , he noticed that he was in some unknown apartment … with two or three warm blankets covering him up . 

Who would be so kind to him now that he was a criminal … ? This had to be some sort of trick … what if one of Eden’s buddies had caught him ? 

Paranoia started to overwhelm him , but before he could do anything a door to his left opened , and he wearily watched you walk in the room with two cups of tea in your hand .

Your expression became relieved when you noticed that your guest was up .

< Ah , you���re awake - that’s great ! 

Sorry , I don’t really have much tea left , I only had the lemon flavored one , I hope that’s okay … > 

Ramon looked at the warm cup you had placed in front of him , then back at you , completely baffled by your hospitality … 

It was definitely not what he was expecting , and you really didn’t seem like the type of person that would turn around and try to kill him out of the blue … but still , he remained suspicious . 

< Now … may I ask what you were doing out here , Mister Rayman ? > 

He growled at the mention of his old name , giving you an irritated glare …

< … that’s not my name . Not anymore . 

I’m Ramon now . > 

, he simply replied , one of his floating hands carefully grabbing the cup of tea , almost like he was afraid of it . 

< And what I was doing isn’t really your problem now , is it ? > 

You tilted your head , not understanding what he was talking about or the reason behind his hostility … 

A long silence followed his words , before Ramon eventually let out a sigh , the feeling of your eyes staring at him in confusion starting to make him feel … pretty bad for lashing out like that . 

< … I just … why would you even bother to bring me here ?

I don’t know who you are or what your deal is … for all I know , you could be working with Eden’s assholes to capture me or something … > 

His gaze met yours , but he couldn’t find a single trace of malice in it … 

< Well … you can trust me when I say that I’m probably the least dangerous person you could run into , so if you’re afraid that I might hurt you I can assure you that’s not gonna happen . > 

, you quietly replied , pausing to drink some tea before continuing the conversation .

Maybe it was just because he had gone through so much lately , but the relaxing atmosphere of your home mixed with your soothing voice managed to ease some of Ramon’s tension , and after a moment of hesitation he took a deep breath and took a sip out of the cup of tea he had been holding that whole time .

To answer what you asked me before , about why I was around here , let’s just say that I’m … currently not on good terms with Eden . >

Summary: You were at a party for Eden's most elite, only there due to your friend. It was for Rayman, but parties never were your thing, so you opted for sitting away from everyone. The host seemed to have found you and taken interest in you.

It was a party for the elite, those high in Eden's ecosystem that were rich, you were only here because your friend knew one of the producers of the Eden Late Show with Rayman. In fact, he was here right now, as this was his party for reaching his 30th season. You haven't seen him yet though, opting to stay towards the quieter areas of the roof as social interaction was not your forte. You had wanted to meet him for so many years now, but anxiety did not want to. Were you ready to accept the fact that you were not as boisterous as him or as cute as him, or well...as popular and rich as him.

Dressed all nice, you looked down at Eden from the secluded part pf the balcony you picked swishing a wine glass full of water imagining it as the namesake. You chose not to drink any alcohol and if you did, it wouldn't make your first impression any better if you did manage to meet him. Meeting all these people above your social status only made your anxiety grow, feeling like one wrong word would make them blacklist you from any jobs and ruin your life. Setting the glass down, you stood up and walked to the glass railing, leaning on it and crossing your arms.

It's not like you hate Eden, far from it, you just wished that you could be successful like all these people here, to be able to have that financial security and to be able to positively impact others. That's why you loved Rayman so much, just by hearing his voice made you happy and comforted knowing that he was here to give hope to everyone.

"You're looking lonely there" That same voice cut through your thoughts and caused you to look back in surprise. Eyes wide, you looked in shock as the Rayman walked closer to you with his trademark smile. Why was he here and not where the main party is? You realized you didn't say anything and was just staring. Coughing, you choked up a reply and hope you didn't look like a total idiot.

"Well uh...these types of parties aren't really my thing hah..." awkwardly chuckling as you cringed, yeah that was bad. He didn't seem detoured though as he only walked closer and stopped when he was right beside you. You knew he was short, but being right next to him really hit you for the height difference between you both.

"Why are you here then? Wanted to see handsom old me?" He winked, causing your face to warm as you stutter out denials, he wasn't convinced naturally. Honestly, that's one of the reasons you went, but it was embarrassing to admit, especially to the man himself. He chuckled and pulled a chair from nearby, up to the railing, pulling himself up and standing on it so he was eye level with you. You cracked a smile and laughed, he looked like a toddler doing that.

"What's so funny huh? You won't be laughing when I-" he then leaned closer, surprising you as his mouth was right next to your ear.

"Show you a good time" and you were dead. Face now on fire, you clamped a hand over your mouth as he pulled away, face painted with a smug smile. Was he actually flirting with you right now?

"Awe, so shy, its adorable. You gone mute...hm...I might know a way to make you talk" He knew exactly what buttons to press to make you melt, causing you to grip onto the railing to prevent you from falling as your breathing quickened.

"I am the most powerful man in Eden after all...imagine...having everything you could ever wanted and more...So. Much. More." Anymore of this and you would collapse, not knowing how to respond or what to even do. It didn't help that his hand started to caress your thigh, only increasing his advances. Never in your entire life would you believe for a second that THE Rayman would hit on you, yet here you were, him hitting on you. The moment didn't last though, as someone came out and called out to Rayman that a journalist wanted to do an interview on him. Pulling away, he said one last thing before leaving.

"This isn't over. Meet me here in the lobby tomorrow, seven pm sharp" and he was gone. Once he was out of sight, you fell to the floor and was left to process what had just happened.

Meet Viveo! The voice of Eden and main antagonist of S2 in my dreams!

He is a podcast host, co-owner of the "Just Dance" Club, and controls all the radio stations in Eden.

(So, Rayman, but in radio form)

Viveo is arrogant and views himself higher than his peers. He may be a selfish bitch at times, but he is an entertaining guy to talk to. He knows how to keep a conversation running for as long as he pleases. He’s rather competitive however, always wanting to be the best of the best. He views Rayman more as a rival than a friend, but from the outside it doesn’t look like that. He owns his own podcast, all of the stations of Eden, and a club so he’s super successful. His TV screen works as a camera and can play back past memories of his, he could also use it to impersonate voices, which helps to make a podcast episode on a whim. Some say that his screen could hypnotize people, but no one has been able to prove it. He’s also pretty manipulative and will do anything to be the best (He maybe was the one who sent Rayman the message idkkk)

Now, no one really knows about Viveo’s past, and he’s pretty hush hush about it. He went to the same college as Rayman and the two became good friends for being different and wanting to entertain people. They graduated together and became the poster boys for Eden, with Viveo being every narrator's voice people hear on shows. The two had a pretty good bond, but Viveo found himself jealous of Rayman’s fame at times, unhappy with the lack of credit he gets. He’s a valuable aspect in the Eden machine, being able to easily persuade people. Viveo actually knows about the wrongdoings of Eden, but he doesn’t care. He’s not in poverty or scraping to survive so why bother. He knows if he speaks out against it, he’ll be fired instantly, removing everything he worked for. So, if you can’t beat them, join them.

(So, Rayman, but he's a bitch)

Viveo teams up with Red and Fakeman in S2 (who are a duo in my silly little heart). They're so of a trio, but Viveo's the leader because he's the most experienced (joining Eden around the same time as Rayman)

I love this stinky TV man with all my heart as you can tell by the millions of drawings. He wasn't my first CLH oc, but he is my dearest. Dunno, maybe I'm biased.

Everyone! Meet Rabido, my Rabbid OC/sona. i may not have finished my playthrough of Mario+Rabbids games but I couldn't resist making a self-indulgent OC. his lore is prone to change since yea... i don't know everything about Rayman/Rabbids lore (please be nice)

Rabido is an all-natural born Rabbid from the dream of glades. No one knows why he appears so different from other Rabbids, hell! not even Rabido knows... but does he care? no. Rabido sees himself as "one of a kind", a true show-stopper. He embraced that he was different rather than letting it deter him from shining.

Rapido owns an array of TV shows.His most popular program being a Game show that he hosts called "Raving Rabid". Contestants are brought against their will and forced to participate in a string of ridiculous yet deadly Games (most of which are rigged). Despite the highly ethical things featured within the show- the program somehow manages to be immensely popular (even outside its target audience I.E the Rabbid population )

Rabido HATES losing and He HATES competition. He feels the need to always come out on top. So naturally, when Phantom emerged, they became instant rivals. Rabido will stop at nothing to ruin the rising star's entire career. He'll deny any questions implying that he and phantom may be something more than enemies

He's a sleazy egomaniac who lacks any subtlety. Rabido is all about being BIG and LOUD. This can range from senseless violence, blinding lights or questionable choices- everything he does is to keep a captive audience, letting them hang on his every word. He is nothing without his stage.

Rabido fur is COVERED with glitter. Everywhere he goes he'll sparkle and shine whilst leaving a hard-to-clean trail behind him. Easy to say, he likes to leave a lasting mark wherever he goes...what better way to do that than with GLITTER!

Something I find interesting is how you can make a guess on if a Captain Laserhawk fan had prior experience with the Rayman franchise or not just by the way they portray Rayman/Ramon

While comparing Rayman to a dog/caninae isn’t anything new, I have noticed (especially in regards to Rayfrog) some people like to make Rayman a straight up predator type creature while also hyper focusing on Ramon’s edge and angst factor

In the actual show Ramon doesn’t do anything “edgy” until he shoots down the directors , prior to that he was a (fired) TV host whose work was primarily focused on children. While the games’ lore is inconsistent between each instalment, Rayman spends a majority of those games saving others. This isn’t to say original Rayman isn’t capable of negative emotions such as anger and expressing them in destructive ways, just that Rayman’s first priority in a given situation has always been to take care of others and that applies to Ramon too

Rayman , in both versions, is better compared to a domesticated guard dog than a wild predator

I think the reason I want more “Ramon is actually a sad old man who trips on his guns twice a day and has very little to no rizz game” stuff is because I genuinely think some people over estimate how much of a “badass” CLH Rayman/Ramon is and ignore the softer/sillier side of his character, and also the fact he’s literally a washed up celebrity older the nation of Eden itself, like, hello? That man has no god damn combat experience and his plan to take down the board only worked because of pure luck on his end

I will be leaning on CLH Rayman (real version) for some of my take on Fake’s personality and will also heavily lean on HC based interpretations of my own until we see more of him in a hopeful season 2.

Being let go from his job after an incident, Rayman was left feeling hurt and betrayed. He knew deep down in his own mind that they wouldn't...no, COULDN'T continue the Rayman Show and news without his likeliness. I mean, how could they? He was the host, the face, the main man of the broadcast which was shown throughout all of EDEN. The main show was named after him after all. Unfortunately, upon viewing the channel to see how they could have continued without him; there it was. A fully cloned lookalike of himself was seen talking directly towards the crowd from the screen of his TV.

Rayman, nicknamed Fakeman, Rayplacement, and sometimes FakeRay by the fan base, is Rayman's cloned counterpart who was evidently made to replace the actual Rayman. He is shown to be acting like the former; and shown as happy-go-lucky, sassy, and civic.

𝐇𝐂𝐬 & 𝐇𝐂 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐝𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐬

Rayman is more snarky, classy, flirtatious, and more dramatic than the previous Rayman.

Despite having a friendly face and friendly demeanor, he is shown to be more short tempered when not being broadcasted live. This Rayman also adores attention and having eyes on him. He practically lives off it.

When talking to someone, he often looks ahead of him and speaks out loud as if he has a crowd cheering him on from being used to the routine.

He tends to bow often and even clap after something good happens or something pleases him.

- Your classic rags-to-riches success story, Dolph started off as a lonely little boy enrolled into Eden's military ranks at 16, in the hopes that he would be able to support his family. He ran up the ranks quickly, showing himself not only to be a great soldier, but an even greater ray of hope for his fellow soldiers. Sadly, his military career ended when he suffered life-threatening injuries from a mine in the Wasteland War, taking away his left arm, bits of his torso and a huge chunk of his head.

- Eden wasn't done with him however, and after being refitted with the fanciest prosthetics money could buy, he became the suave and sultry brand new host of the Eden show, an shining example of what Eden has to offer and a mainstream celebrity overnight.

- Of course, thats not *all* that happened...

Bullfrog:

- Once a prized member of Eden's military, like Dolph, Bullfrog is now a feared mercenary and terrorist, heavily affiliated with an anti-Eden group that believes that they are their deities chosen warrors, born to destroy Eden and bring up a new era of prosperity. He uses stealth to his advantage, using both disguise and the shadows to do his work, to the point where noone truely knows what he looks like under his hood, which he never takes off.

- Of course, this new era can't come without sacrifices, and the group sacrifices Bullfrog for "the greater good", AKA let him be killed in order for them to gain a shiny macguffin they believe will let them be able to summon their god.

- Don't worry, for his contributions to the cult, he will surely be granted the highest honours in the afterlife! In fact, he should be thanking the group for this oppourtunity!

- At least, if he wasn't still alive..

Ramon:

- Made to be a warrior of the Glade, Rayman has decided to turn his grief over not being able to save his previous home to determination to save the new one from the horrors of Eden.

- The only one rescued from dimension X (or, so he thinks), Rayman has become a robin-hood-esque vigilante known in the lower rigs of Eden as a strange, but friendly fella who comforts the weak and counters the strong.

- Never really staying in one place for too long, he has picked up many quirks and mannerisms from the numerous people he has stayed with over the years, and while he has become a bit more abrasive and trigger-happy than he was before, now accustomed to hiding his lack of limbs behind baggy clothing, his will to help people and ultimately make up for his mistakes before still shines bright.
