one thing i will say from a design standpoint is that i personally love how his big belly button doubles as a snout for his pig tattoo. idk i just thought it was clever and cute

also i was talking to a friend abt hoggie and whats nice (blessing and a curse in a way?) is that you cant slim him down in fanart without losing his design, or making him look like a totally differenr guy. being fat IS crucial, for better or worse. unfortunately this means not many ppl attempt to draw him but those that do can actually draw and enjoy fat people

i hadnt rly thought abt the points brought up but youre very righr the fact a fat guy is called roadHOG is pretty ridiculous but i think they had enough fun w his design + mad max elements + personality and writing that it works? and to echo the power fantasy its like okay cool cal me fat. now get super big hook kill attack. and follow up rat attack mega maul GO!!!!!

we have to get roadhog out of overwatch so bad shit is dire
