how do you feel about taz ocs? do you hve any?

taz OCs are awesome! i get a lot of joy out of seeing the ones my friends come up with, be they kepler residents or cryptids or both. i don’t think there’s anything wrong with making them.

as such, I have an ungodly amount of OCs, mostly background characters for fics and such. i don’t have an author insert type OC, just a projection scattergun that I use to pepper as many characters, OC or not, with my personality traits and shit. my fic OCs are, by fic appearance:

TMWCIFTC:

Vanessa McDougal, a Scottish woman who’s also the Loch Ness monster and the former Minister of Defense in Sylvain. she’s six foot five, built like serena williams, and does tattoos. everyone i know is gay for her

Evelyn, Dani’s twin sister, presumed dead for about 20 years after a massive abomination attack that wiped out most of the Pine Guard

the Ashminder, a voidfish-type abomination who used to be a Sylph, who can take and consume memories 

Fabian, Dani’s little brother, who still lives in Sylvain and was assigned to be the government scribe after Some Shit went down

TSG:

Andrew Wilson, Victoria’s brother

Olivia Wilson, his wife, a dryad exiled from Sylvain - and also Hollis and Pigeon’s mom

Cam, Jordan, Alice, Andre, Portia, Kellen, and James, a whole bunch of Hornets i made up to pad out the ranks

Fred Owens, the former leader of the Kepler Stunt club and the middlest brother in the Owens family (between Calvin, youngest, and Keith (yes that Keith), oldest. borrowed the Keith Owens headcanon from @keplersheetz)

Helen and Sammy, two old lesbian bikers that own the Little-Dipper-turned-Hornets’-Nest. They’re wives, and a not-so-subtle shoutout to Hurley and Sloane. 10/10 would die for them

TCOS and other adjacent works:

Sparrow, the Flatwoods Monster, who’s holding down the fort in Colorado (for various reasons) at a lodge-like western haven for exiled Sylphs who aren’t willing or able to go to Kepler. it’s founded in, around, and under the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park. they’ve got a whole lot of stuff going on in that place, hidden from most of the Sylph community - even from Mama, supposedly their friend and ally. it’s complex. i’ll get into that later

Demetrius, Dani, Evelyn, and Fabian’s dad - former governor of a city that was taken over by the quell, back in the days when its reach wasn’t quite as far. his story’s going to be covered in A Clear Blue Sky, a fic I’m working on right now, that deals with Fabian’s attempt to piece things together after the Ashminder was killed in TMWCIFTC, as well as Thacker’s adventures through the wastes. those are more connected than they seem

there’s probably a lot more that i’ve forgotten about, and the more i write the more will appear. i tend to make OCs as the plot demands them, when I can’t do what I did with other people (stern and duck, for example, or the victoria-pigeon-hollis unit) and finagle a familial relationship or something. OCs are fun to work with and weave into stories, which is why I make so many. thanks for the ask!!
