I think making phones with cameras was one of the worst decisions we ever made bring back cameras with no screens on them to see the picture while its being taken
#i dont take pictures with people anymore#and if i do its a selfie and seeing yourself while the pictures being taken is one of the worst things#i dont wanna focus on how i look i just want to be in the moment and have someone capture it#and i wanna have a pysical copy of that picture to look back on#i wanna go through photo albums#i wanna look at my wall and smile because i remember that moment#im putting pictures on my wall rn and i have nothing#i only have pictures from before like 2012? and very few recent ones but theyre all from one friend#shoutout to her for still sending me physical pictures <3#i hate the rise of instagram and downfall of photo albums

GRADUATION!!!!!
These are just a FEW of the MANY pictures of this special day. Me with my MARVELOUS host family who were extremely generous towards me for both of my two years. The weekends they gave me helped me more than they will ever know and I already miss them very much. My host sister is a funny, mature, special person that I will hold close to me forever. She is beautiful inside and out and I am forever grateful that she and her family let me into their lives. (They gave me a cheese slicer engraved with my name, isn’t that the most awesome [and Norwegian] graduation gift ever?!
Another picture with my dearest. She was my Norwegian mom, who gave me (and still does) constant support and love. I will miss her more than she knows, too. (but we still send each other good morning snapchats everyday. ;) )
And my sister. God knows she’s my rock. Even though she wasnt physically there in Norway until the very end, she was there with me in every moment. Every obstacle, every happy moment, she was there. I could not have made it without her. She is my motivation and my best friend. There’s nothing I cherish more than the relationship I have with her. Graduation wouldn’t have meant as much without her.
During my time at RCN I always made a (bad) joke that usually “smart” kids spend 3 years at high school, not 5. After 5 years, at Flowing Wells and RCN, I finally made it. It took longer than everyone else at home, but it made it feel all the more amazing. I am a high school graduate. I never expected that this would be the way my life would have gone. But I’m so glad that it did. Thank you, RCN. (shoutout to my best friend Ximena, who danced with me until the very end and who took the best cheesiest photos with me. Theyre not posted here, but trust me, they were cute as heck. And we danced and sang and laughed and cried together at graduation. we made it!)
